Negative experience: When I first heard of Renters Warehouse, I thought this might be a change. I thought they would be different from every other slumlord that I've dealt with who made me and my children stressed and homeless and disregarded our safety and comfort. It was sweet at first moving in November 2025. It's just me and my four children; however, my youngest has autism, so from time to time there is a little damage, which they told me to report. But even now the house has its old parts that falls apart or need repairing that Renters Warehouse won't admit to. have renters insurance, but they want me to pay every dime out of my pocket. But we have only been here 5 months, and my family is being treated like prisoners. Everything I ask is no, or I'm being charged left and right. First they failed the first and second Section 8 inspection, and third one finally passed but now I'm waiting for approval for my rent adjustment, so I've been paying full price since I moved in because they don't want to communicate or understand. Then I and my children had to freeze all winter long because they refused to weatherize the house. I admit to some little damages that were caused by my children, but at least I'm woman enough to admit it and contact them as requested. Right now I just got charged for a work order that happened in December. I even asked ahead of time so I wouldn't violate the lease about my youngest daughter getting a support animal like her doctor suggested. They refused with no reason why. I can't decorate my home. I can't have certain things in my home. Then what's the point of renting it out to a family? Now I feel like Renters Warehouse is trying to get rid of me and my children. Don't get me wrong. I love the house, but why does the owner act like he or she hates us for no reason? On what grounds should we be mistreated, disregarded, and looked down on? I'm only dealing with all of this because we have nowhere to go. What am I going to tell my children? That we are moving out because the owner doesn't want to treat us like human beings, that no matter what we will be seen as a problem like all African American families have been looked upon by others. That the owner doesn't care for our well-being; he or she just wants the rent money. It's scary because I have to stay alert because I truly believe I'm going to get a letter saying, "You have to leave." Then I'll have to move my family out, go to court, and start over all over again. This is ridiculous and too stressful. I just cannot this year or any year. Please pray for me and my children, please. I'm scared but I dont want my children to see that. So I'm staying strong so they dont think their mother was weak and couldn't keep a home for them.

Negative experience: If I could give them less than one star I would. Landlord and renters beware!! As a landlord in a pinch I figured I would give them a chance. They are nothing but awful. They have horrible response times on issues. Tons of hidden fees and do not provide any contact information on their emails. They are 100% unprofessional. The sales team is great and I had a good experience with them but on going management is awful. I cannot wait to end my contract with them! My renters also had a hard time working with them. And it has taken 3 weeks to resolve a water issue at my property which is doing nothing but causing more damage. Rentersware house is pretty much destroying my house by not resolving issues quickly. I got ahold of my renters personally. What took them 2 weeks took me 2 hours. What am I paying them for?!!! ​I posted this on Yelp as well. Trying to get the word out so others don't have the same experience I have! ***In regards to your response, I would be happy to share the emails that provide the written proof and how I was degraded by your maintenance manager when asked for a quote for the repair. Anyone looking to use them I would be delighted to send you the emails that accurately depict the situation!

Fantastic experience: My family explained that Rhino Tongol at Renter's Warehouse deserves way more than a thank you, he deserves a review. I guess they're right since I called him with about a dozen questions last week despite knowing that his plate was already loaded this time of year with all the calls they get about taxes, reporting, and other chaos that happens at year end. Well, I dumped a TON of work on his plate, and since both repairs are complete (and tenants thanked me despite him and his team deserving the credit), all of my year-end tax questions are answered, and he and his team ALREADY have one of our two vacancies filled and a tenant lined up and ready to move in to the other one... my family is definitely right, Rhino, you are amazing, far better at managing these properties than we ever were years ago back when we tried, and we hope Renter's Warehouse appreciates you as much as we do. :)

Fantastic experience: I'm very pleased with Renters Warehouse as an owner. They have saved me a lot of headaches by collecting rent and taking care of any problems that accrue. I have recommended them to a lot of my friends for renting and for rentals as an owner. I've spoken to the owner...Andrew and he is cordial and helpful. This company Rocks.........!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Andrew Noegel and his team in SE WI have been : professional, responsive, diligent, and efficient in managing my stuff for the last five years or so. My experience has been so good that I am entrusting Renters Warehouse to manage my property in Florida until I am the 'right' age to enjoy it myself! Thanks RW!! UPDATE 2/8/22 I recently contracted with RW to manage a 3rd property. It's STILL VACANT after two months and I can imagine why....I don't see it advertised on ANY of the major platforms. Is there a reason for this? Maybe. If someone would answer the phone or emails maybe there's an explanation! I don't know what happened but these guys are SO UNRESPONSIVE they might just as well not exist. Which , for me, will be reality as soon as I finish the letters ending our relationship. To repeat a phrase I see all too often on reviews, I gave one star only because you can't give zero. 2nd UPDATE: Well something has changed for the better. Chris, who has been handling my newest investment, has been SUPERB in communications! I'm holding the 5th star in reserve just in case! LAST UPDATE: I'm absolutely DONE with RW. Really poor communication and a general sense of disinterest forced me to find an alternative to managing my rentals I currently use AVAIL and have saved a ton of $$ and aggravation.

Negative experience: I strongly advise against using Renters Warehouse–Milwaukee. They are, hands down, the least communicative company I have ever worked with. As an out-of-state investor, I emphasized the importance of open and consistent communication, yet it took them seven business days to respond to three emails regarding a pricing strategy for a duplex I had rushed to complete. It also took two full weeks for them to explain why I was being charged for plumbing services on a property that was fully under warranty. To make matters worse, large-ticket items would appear on my statements without any prior notice or explanation. When I escalated my concerns to the owner, he made it clear that he does not get involved in day-to-day operations — but as the owner, I believe he should when issues like these arise. I’ve since moved my business elsewhere and couldn’t be happier with that decision. Think carefully before trusting Renters Warehouse with your real estate investments.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this property management company. They take 2 months to do a simple property turnover and every tenant they've gotten for my property has trouble paying rent and stays for 1 year or less. I own other properties and turnover typically takes 1-2 weeks and the tenants stay in place for several years or more. Now 3.5 laters I am in a lawsuit with a past tenant due to items 100% caused by Renters Warehouse and they are holding me (the owner) liable even though I had zero interaction with the tenant and the items they are complaining about. Very unethical business and people, not sure how they sleep at night!

Negative experience: The absolute WORST property management company. We had sewage backed up into our basement not once, but on two occasions. Both times it took DAYS for them to send a vendor out to remedy the issue. Once the root issue was fixed, we then had to do the clean up ourselves. Both times. No- a professional hazmat or restoration company should have been hired to clean up the waste properly. One day delivery guys came to drop off a new dishwasher before 7am while we were at the gym. We only knew because of our ring doorbell. Nothing was coordinated in advance. They then ripped out the old dishwasher, without installing the new one, and left. We were left unable to use any water in the house as there was only one water shut off for the property. This left us in a lurch as we had no indication this would be happening and therefore had not made other arrangements. With multiple people working from home and not being able to flush toilets or even have water to drink, that becomes problematic. Renters Warehouse also treated this as though it was not a priority when it was an issue THEY caused. Whenever I contacted Renters Warehouse to try to get an issue addressed, the staff was very unhelpful and Cindy in particular was BEYOND rude and unprofessional. She would talk over me, told me that my issue wasn’t urgent (I’m sorry but POOP floating in my basement and destroying my personal property is unsanitary and yes, qualifies as an emergency situation), and patronize me. It got to the point where my fiancé and I decided he would have to be the one to contact them about any and all issues because she was so unbearable. I’ve worked in customer facing roles my entire life and have a pretty solid understanding of quality customer service- this definitely isn’t it. To sum it all up, if I knew at the beginning of my renting journey what I know now about Renters Warehouse…. my advice would be RUN. Run as fast as you can. No matter how great the house/apartment, it is not worth it.

Positive experience: I’m not going to leave a full rating at this stage and I will update this based on what I see happen next. However, after reading through other reviews, I’m quite concerned. I’m beginning to feel that I may be experiencing many of the same issues mentioned by other property owners. These includes poor communication, costly repairs, and unresolved water damage that could ruin my home due to misdiagnosis/ poor contractors. In my case, I raised concerns about a potential leak months ago. I was told by the maintenance team that the issue was due to faulty taps and shut-off valves, and I approved repairs costing a couple thousand dollars. This advice came after I was assured the water had been turned off…yet my water bills remained unusually high. Now, my neighbor (who had no issue contacting me) has informed me that water is leaking into their property from my bathroom. And despite having consistent and timely email correspondence (regarding other issues) with the company, I’ve now been told that someone has been “trying to contact me for a month” regarding further maintenance issues. This doesn’t add up. At this point, it appears I may have been charged for repairs that didn’t actually resolve the issue that THEY told me was the issue. That’s deeply concerning, and I’m considering bringing in an independent contractor to assess the situation and provide an honest second opinion. I’ll hold off final judgment and see how this is handled moving forward. I genuinely hope the company takes accountability and addresses the leak, by accepting the responsibility, since I believed it had already been fixed weeks ago and trusted their team was telling me accurate information and I paid for the repairs based on what their team told me. So let’s see if they actually hold their team accountable for the thousands of dollars I spent repairing what they told me to repair. Or will they try telling me that it just happens another problem occurred and I need to pay more money to them for repairs that their contractors were paid to solve twice already. the first or second time I approved and trusted them. As a business owner myself, I understand how much reviews matter. So I’ll leave this at three stars for now and will update it based on how the situation is resolved. I will leave an honest follow up that will reflect what happens. And I’ll urge everyone to remember under US law… I see a lot of contractors leaving good reviews I just would remind property owners … “Under U.S. law, and consistent with standard principles of agency, a property manager acts as a fiduciary agent of the property owner. This means the property manager is legally obligated to prioritize the owner’s best interests, including exercising due diligence, ensuring transparent communication, and managing contractors responsibly. At no time is the property manager considered an agent of a third-party contractor, and they must remain accountable to the owner for decisions made regarding property repairs, expenditures, and tenant-related matters.” .

Negative experience: Worst company ever. I lived in my place for five years until one day unexpectedly I got an email from the management company stating that me and my 4 young children had 30 days to move for no apparent reason because the owner wanted his property back. My family had to live in a hotel for the whole summer of 2024 thanks to them. I would never do that to my worst enemy let alone to someone that has children.

Fantastic experience: As a someone who works in the service industry I have a close working relationship with Renters Warehouse to complete repairs at their locations and I have never had any issues with the company. I strongly believe that one of the majors reasons for this is due to Celeste who is consistently in contact with me, providing information in a timely matter. We're also are given a proper owner approval before hand so we can complete the job as we are out there so we don't have any issues later.

Negative experience: Steer clear if you're an owner or tenant. They had no regard for the well-being, safety or health of my family and they had no concern or care for the landlord or unit's maintenance. The AC was out in our unit for the entire month of August, leaving my 2 children to sweat and cough in their sleep the entire time. Despite my prompt reporting, Renter's Warehouse was slow to help us and then eventually chose a shady HVAC company that failed to show for 3 appointments and requested a 5 star google review before they would come. I informed Renter's Warehouse of this, asking that they choose an actual reputable company, but they informed me it was not an urgent matter, despite it being of serious health concern for my children and myself. It ultimately led to the owner having to pay for a full HVAC replacement, which still had not occurred by the time our lease ended. I also requested multiple times to speak with someone at RW, yet no one reached out to me. If you're a tenant, I would not recommend engaging a property managed by them. If you're an owner, you can manage your own property better for $0. Update 12/21/24: I reached out to them the day they replied to this post to hear where they felt there was a misunderstanding and give them an opportunity to address it directly. That was a month+ ago. No one has returned my call or contacted me. They’re just trying to save face on Google reviews. Truly - just don’t use them.

Negative experience: Don't rent from renters warehouse all they want is money and more money. I had issues in my home immediately after moving in. I sent requests for maintenance that were completed without even being acknowledged. I had to call the city of milwaukee neighborhood services and file a complaint and 2 months later still nothing. They won't talk to u on the phone u have to do it through the portal. It seems to me they are taking on too many properties that they cannot manage promptly.

Fantastic experience: I have gone through Renters' Warehouse Milwaukee for 7 years while I had my investment property. The staff were very professional, friendly, proficient, and super easy to work with. They were always quick to respond to correspondence or address issues before they became problematic. I never had to worry about property management issues, and overall the ownership of my rental property was a stress-free experience due to how well Renters' Warehouse performed. When it came time to sell, Renters' Warehouse offered the best rates when it came to relators, and selling via the property management company was a smooth and easy process. My relator worked hard for me to get me the best price, and provided expert advice at each decision point along the way. Closing was quick, easy, and seamless. I am extremely satisfied with my experience, and I would definitely leverage their services again if I were to get another rental property.

Negative experience: RentersWarehouse method of operation is to 1) sell you a property (and make a commission), 2) charge you $$$ from Brew Property for maintenance/turns (Josh Jensen), 3) nickel and dime your tenants for fees (which you never see) (Carly Stack), 4) “help” you sell your property when you can no longer afford it, and 5) make a commission again selling to the next “investor”.

OUR PROPERTY MANAGER CINDY VARGAS DID THE EXACT SAME THING, TO ME, SHE DID TO A FEW PEOPLE WHO'VE COMMITTED ON HERE AND SHE'S THE MILWAUKEE AREA PROPERTY MANAGER. IF YOU'RE ABLE TO GET AHOLD OF HER... BE ON GUARD, TO PROTECT YOURSELF, BE READY TO RECORD THE CALL AS PROOF OF HOW POORLY SHE ACTUALLY TREATED YOU! AS I'M SOOOO THANKFUL I DID JUST THAT! I HAVE NO CLUE HOW this company is even still in business & getting away with the things they're doing! They make tenants feel as if they don't PAY UP, WHATEVER these people DECIDE to toss on your rent, (e.g. THE WATER BILL) then with NO RECEIPTS & REFUSING TO send you a copy of the actual water bill, from the water company, ***THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW!*** IT IS YOUR LEGAL RIGHT TO SEE THE ACTUAL BILL THEY'RE TELLING YOU, YOU OWE!!!! They also start adding a $95 fee each month you don't pay it in full with your rent or your faced with the threat of being forced out of your home, as this just keeps adding up!!!! Just as other map guides have had THIS SAME ISSUE, we did also! Then cannot get in contact with anyone til you're so stressed out it LITERALLY has you sick, from all the stress THEY'VE CAUSED YOU!

Negative experience: Beyond disgusted by this company trying to steal my deposit I’ve lived in my home for four years.. I moved out at the end my lease owner sold the home ..this company sent me move out charges once I moved with double water bills same month 150 cleaning fee for a stove which I cleaned before I left the law state any appliances after two years is deemed old! They just don’t know who they messing with I’m coming for double security! Don’t trust pink team, blue team! No matter how good of a resident you were I can’t believe this company any way to get over.. shame on them.. It’s been over a month since I’ve moved still no deposit no answer from anyone in this company. Do not trust these folks

Negative experience: Doesn’t answer calls or emails. Will let your unit sit for over 4 months and still won’t post your unit for rent. My renter also had difficulty with them not fixing issues and would only contact her when the rent is due and still not fix the issues for her. From Chris who is the business development manager to Kyle the field operations. Then they try to charge me almost 600 when they did absolutely nothing other then frustrate me and my tenants.

Negative experience: Started off as a smooth company had no major issues the first year but recently our experience has been horrible! The furnace went out on June 28th and it is August 10th and it has still not been fixed. When reaching out to maintenance they stated it was not an emergency and also proceeded to tell me that we were not allowed to use air conditioners. Only fans! In 80 plus degree weather, and trying to cook on top of having kids with breathing issues?! Finally after the owner approved to get the furnace fixed I have literally been getting rescheduled from whatever company they hired to fix it since July 2nd! After asking to speak to a manager they stated they will “prioritize” me and set it for 8/13 so we will see how it goes. Now the fridge that they provided has went out and when reaching out to the emergency line the rude lady stated “that’s not an emergency “ and continued to go back and forth with me after I explained my frustrations with her. So now I’m in a house with no ac since June 28th and a fridge that went out and nobody has even gotten back to me on what options I have. Disappointed and do not plan on renewing this year.

Negative experience: It looks like someone is paying for 5-star reviews. Very unethical, but who would expect anything less from this organization. That's funny! Now you care? Why not care when the Ac was broke for (3 out of 4 months) two summers in a row. Why not care when I had to deal with sewage leaking into the basement for two months? Or when the basement flooded, or when you blatantly misrepresented the property I got stuck with from 2,200 miles away. You people are a joke! Because of the nature of my business I have had to move around the country a lot. I have never had such a terrible experience as I had with Renters Warehouse. My suggestion for the owner is to stick with selling at Remax, because managing properties is definitely not his priority or even something he is capable of excelling at. Lastly, I suggest to refrain from listing homes on the MLS that are not under contract to sell. I also suggest somebody there look up the definition of *fiduciary* responsibility and how it relates to real estate. I am sure the Wisconsin real estate commission would love to get involved.

Negative experience: If I could give this company no stars I would. I would advise anyone looking to rent through this company to stay far away. Emailed them a week ago due to a discrepancy on my ledger and still haven’t heard anything back. It’s a hassle to get in touch with anyone unless they’re telling you about the water bill. The lady Cindy Vargas is very rude and should not be in the role she’s in because she doesn’t know how to speak to people.

Negative experience: Zero communication as a homeowner. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. They do no respond to emails, phone calls, texts. It's not that they are late to respond. They just won't respond, ever. Even in emergency situations. I made an appointment to speak with someone about my emergency not being acknowledged and they blamed each other. Very unprofessional. After asking why voicemails don't get checked Cindy said "oh I have a voicemail set up?" I can't make this up. Secretly charged for add ons I never signed up for. I could go on all day.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t give them a star.. we lived in their house and they never fixed anything! Kept lying saying they would fix the problem but never did! So after two years of living there we called the city for help and renter warehouse got so upset that they didn’t want to lease with us anymore! It all worked out because we had decided not to resign the lease anyways.. they have mice running around in that house real bad please don’t rent out there property on 51s an blvd!! You will be disappointed and they will not come out to help you!! Not to mention we was never late on our water bill nor rent!!!

Negative experience: The communication is poor. I have a property being managed by them and I can rarely reach the person designated to handle my property. I leave messages and callbacks never happen. Emails are seldom returned and I have left instructions that maintenance items over $300 be cleared with me first and that almost never happens. As a remote owner communication is key and they have failed.

Negative experience: It hasn’t even been a full month yet. Maintenance team is horrible with this company!! No one answer phone calls. Agents aren’t any good either. Once you’re in the property, now you hear from no one!!! Pathetic. Update 09-12-2022: it's coming up on my year with this company and PLEASE everyone DO NOT sign with this company. Cindy Vargas is very unprofessional, rude and a rasict employee here at this company. Yelling, would not let me speak at all because she could have truly cared less what i had to respond back to say. How is it that a company send me my rent balance each month and NEVER my water bill through the online portal? Now wants to bill me for a Year of water bill, I have not seen ONE bill statement at all and you want me to pay this company. You mean to tell me a comapny goes an ENTIRE year and NEVER sent me a water bill and when asked questions Cindy wants to yell and not answer my questions, try and make me out to be the bad person, when in fact this is a crooked rental company. Accusing me of not paying a water bill that was NEVER billed out to me for a Year because their being audited Cindy stated, now she's taking it out on the tenant because they dropped the ball and their management services is by far the most terrible service ever! DEFINITELY getting the law involved I will NOT tolerate this type of discrimination CINDY VARGAS just verbally put me through!!! If you want peace and a rental company that values paying on time tenants DO NOT come to this company. Also, maintenance team is still horrible after an entire year!

Negative experience: I lived in one of their properties for 6 years. It's basically impossible to get maintenance to fix something the RIGHT way. They will not return your calls. I moved out on June 30th and have yet to receive my security deposit which they claimed to have mailed to the address that I moved from on July 21st. It is now September 9th and no one is returning my calls or emails. Very unprofessional!!

Negative experience: I received a call yesterday from one of their staff and told me she is getting the check made and would deliver it by hand to me, but never called or show up. I need everyone who is having issue with this company to file a complaint on the BBB. Would not recommend! Stay away! Moved out 2 months ago and still no security deposit. Called and emailed numerous times but no answer. They have this person who stumbles with her own lies. That job is not worth it.

Negative experience: Renters Warehouse is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. If you debating renting from them, run far away. If you are planning on using them to manage your property, don't. It has been 45 days since I moved out of a property they managed and the security deposit still has not been returned. My calls have been ignored. My lawyers calls have been ignored. Cindy, the "executive property manager" is incredibly incompetent and the most unprofessional person I have ever worked with in. She has changed her story several times on why we haven't received our security deposit. In the matter of an hour she told my roommate that they never sent a check, and then told me that the check was returned after they sent it. Cindy will start yelling at you on the phone and gaslighting you into thinking you did something wrong. She will start berating you when you say something she doesn't like. She has indicated that their standard operating procedures to not follow WIS Stat 704.28(4). She told my roommate that the security deposit disposition needs to be sent within 21 days of lease termination, and the they have 30 days to send the money. This is illegal. Additionally, after the lease had ended, renters warehouse tried to charge myself and roommates for rent, for 2 months, (June and July). We called and Cindy indicated that "we still lived there" because we didn't file the move out request form in their on-line portal. There was no where in the lease that this was required. Again Cindy will gaslight you into thinking you are doing something wrong when it is her and the companies gross incompetency that is the problem. The portal which is required will cost each tenant $4/month. The only use for this portal is to pay rent, there is no option for checks. Again, do not use renters warehouse for anything, they are crooks, incompetent and incredibly rude. You will require the use of legal action to receive your security deposit back.

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if allowed we moved out early because were told we could and not pay the last months rent. They took our security deposit and refused to speak with us or check the phone recording. Cindy from the blue team was very rude and unprofessional. We would have stayed the last month if they were going to take the security deposit they told us we didn’t have to pay.

Negative experience: This company turned my life upside down! The statement at the bottom of my review is a sorry excuse and a good reason why anyone reading this should think twice and ask God to lead you some where they have values! This house had been empty for months so I texted to see if it was still available the person responded I let them know I would be using emergency assistance to move. The person acted as if that was ok. Normally if a person doesn't want to accept something they will say no, however thats not what happened they signed my rent assistance papers and turned them and we had and inspection at the house and everything. What the real problem was. They wanted money up front that I truly didn't have but when I was awarded the emergency assistance it was for 5878 which was more than enough. They gave the house to someone else and returned the check. I sent texts and emails to see if I could get another house. GUESS WHAT NO ANSWER! now im on the streets I guess the reason below is supposed to be a good excuse for what happened? Always remember good humans do good things and make right when they do wrong or make mistakes like it says in the bible Faith with out work is dead., and as far as mitigation NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME WILL PROSPER. You have a Blessed Day!
