Negative experience: My last landlord sold the building I live in. So the property management company switched from smart asset realty to MPI. I have been calling them and leaving messages and speaking with people who can’t or just don’t want to help me. They say Anissa is the only one who can help me but she doesn’t respond to emails never calls back and half the time when I call the lil A.I. dude John be glitching and either won’t transfer me to a live person cuz it just loops in a circle or he transfers me but it goes to voicemail basically and no one ever calls me back. I’m just tryna make sure my rent gets paid!!!! Idk what to do I’ve been calling since before the 1st of December, talked to Anissa on the 1st and basically since then it’s like they just don’t freaking care!!! I’m so frustrated!! I don’t pay me rent late! Ever! And they trying to assess late fees!! I even called the realtor who was setting up showings ect for help because no one at MPI takes their job seriously clearly!! And when I tell people about the situation they basically all said aww MPI?! They suck! And they told me to pretty much get ready for the ride! I could cry!!! And I just called again this morning and the guy was rude he told me he would have Anissa call me back. I told him you said that yesterday because when I first called he said he spoke with me yesterday. He asked if she called me yesterday and obviously the answer was no. So I have no faith that she’ll do so today like I said I’ve been calling since December 1st. I asked to speak to her manager he said he wasn’t in so I asked for his phone number and he said he could give it to me and they he wasn’t going to go back and forth me and he transferred me to Anissa’s voicemail. I really don’t know what to do right now!!! I’ve been calling everyday!!! I even send emails and she hasn’t responded to anything since December 1st! I wish I could just find my actual landlord because this property management company MPI, is terrible at management! I wish he would of just kept the old management company Smart Asset Realty because I would never be going through this with them!
Negative experience: This is a negative star .This property management company sucks ….Red flags since day one …over charging of repairs …I went an entire year without an oven .If I want to bake I have to go to my mom or grandparents.They tired of me using they oven and other appliances.I hate it here. Please GOD allow me to Get my security back and find a better cleaner place for me and my family .

Negative experience: MPI is disappointing, unprofessional, and overall, lacks in serving the basic needs that they are paid to do. The emails, phone calls, and requests have remained unanswered for months-and if you are a landlord-I highly recommend a different management company. They shouldn’t even get one star.

Negative experience: This company rented a small 2 bedroom duplex.. 2700 block of north 53rd this is their first week …there must be twelve or more children and I don’t know how many adults one looks to be pregnant in this small place .. how do you rent such a small place to so many people.. the kids cussing each other out there goes my summer of peace smdh..

We manage several properties in that area. I would need the address in order to look into this. I am also not aware of a 2 bedroom in that general area so please provide the address in question so I can look into it.
I can tell you we have not rented a 2 or 3 bedroom to a family with 12 children ever. Its not really fair to give our company a bad review based on something that is not really in our control. Could they have just had company that day? So many variables, Let me know the address and I will look into it.

Negative experience: I strongly advise other property owners to reconsider MPI for their property management needs. Unethical Practices Poor Communication: Communication was consistently poor. I often had to follow up multiple times before receiving any response. Important updates about my property were delayed or not provided at all. Overcharging on Repairs: One of the most troubling issues was the consistent overcharging on repairs. Every month, I had to meticulously review my owner statements and repeatedly discovered overcharges. I strongly advise other property owners to avoid them. Their unethical practices and poor management have caused significant frustration and financial loss I should report them.

Negative experience: literal nightmare run scumlords. my heat was out for +6 days this past winter with no urgency or even response from their “emergency repair line”. Took 2 months to get my dishwasher (which was included and promised to be good to go) installed when I first moved in. Place was not cleaned whatsoever prior to me moving in. Icing on the cake is now they refuse to get back to me to get my security deposit back, despite countless phone calls and voicemails left for them. DO NOT RENT WITH MPI. THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO SCRAP OUT EVERY DIME FROM THEIR PROPERTIES.

Negative experience: I put in an application and everything was fine but it’s kind of hard reaching them by phone during there business hours.
I do apoligize for that. It seems our call volume seems to come in waves mostly all at one given time. Other times it's crickets.
Negative experience: First The Lights Started Flicking On And Off And Sparking, Then The Lights Totally Went Out In My Room, The Bathroom ,The Hall And Pantry Haven't Had No Lights In Them Rooms For 3 Months Now We Keep Calling And Calling They Saying The Same Thing Noone Had Reached Out Yet We Have To Blow Up The Phones Me And My Family Had Already Had An Electrical House Fire Before Because Of These Poor House These People Is Renting To Others I Put It On God Hands That We Won't Have To Go Through It Again Because No one Still Have Came To Fix Or Check The Electric And Wiring In Our House mpi is terrible Definitely Don't Recommend

Fantastic experience: I’ve rented from Mpi for the past 3 years two different properties. And the only problem I ever had is when I first moved in a second property with them my fridge and stove was not ordered yet so I had to wait 3 weeks for a fridge and a stove but everything after that has literally been smooth sailing .

Negative experience: They are slumlords all the way our roof leaked and did nothing about it the windows were all rotted had mold in the ceiling we were there 16 years and then all of a sudden they kicked us out to remodel the house they did nothing

Negative experience: turned in application for Shameka Moore said it would take until Friday…Friday comes I don’t get a call I have to call MULTIPLE times just to be told it was denied. Not to mention we settled for that one to deep clean because the house had a strong pee smell. The person on the phone said my money was at the office, I go there they say they won’t have it until Monday.
I am sorry you were denied. You can re-apply in 90 Days If you were denied on Friday it’s often the next business day before your check is ready.

Positive experience: When I turned in my application I was told by the gentleman behind the desk that I was the only one all week that came in with an completed application with no highlights needed and that really gave me faith about getting this home he also told me that it would take about 3-5 business days for it to be processed once sent out so I would be contacted by someone on that Friday well I call on that Thursday to check the status and was told it was still being processed so come Friday no one still didn’t call so I called again and a lady answered I gave her my info and she was like no one called you? I’m like no I called yesterday and was told it was still being processed and then she was like “your application was denied your deposit is at the front desk” I was devastated because I know their isn’t anything on me or my spouse’s background and I references are ok so I questioned them and was told to fill out a form to get the reasoning which I did but it didn’t help but I did find out that my current landlord gave out false information on us and jeopardized our opportunity of getting our dream home and now we’re forced to stay here another three months because we can’t reapply

I am sorry they fell short of your expectations. The photos in the ads are actual pictures of the units.
Negative experience: Worse property management company. Wouldn’t fix things in a timely manner and when they sent someone they would take hours or days because the owners didn’t want to pay to replace things. Defects in the apartment and refused to give all of deposit back when the place was in worst condition prior to moving in.

Negative experience: Unprofessional jerks. Turned in an application for a property, told it would take 3-4 days to process. Two weeks later, after numerous calls, I was told it was declined. No reason given. Therr was absolutely nothing on there that should have caused it to be declined. I ended up homeless because of it. Still have no place to live. By the way, there is absolutely nothing in my background to have caused this. This was purely arbitrary on the 3rd party's part. I suspect it was either age-or race-related but it's impossible to prove.
We tried to get a landlord and work reference and couldn't get either. You were asked numerous times to call or come in and complete your app with valid phone numbers for his landlord and place of business. That didnt happen.
You are welcome to reapply in August.
Negative experience: I am a very frustrated owner using MPI to manage a property in Milwaukee. I have a question, but they refuse to answer my emails or phone calls. That is no way to treat a customer.

Negative experience: I think Fox6 needs to be called. So far i have seen 2 places in person but the rest on their website are worse. I dont have the experience of living in their property but so far looks like slumlords… i cant i got ao upset looking at the last place i walked out right away. Broken floors a basement sink as a sink omg the place looks like there may be a rat problem no way omg i was horrified and disgusted in such a beautiful location that they allowed their property to be run down and have the nerve to list such a run down property. Take all that rent that is being collected and actually invest in the property renovation before renting it out. O M G

Negative experience: Slum lords, I have repeatedly asked for them to take care of the squirrels in the attic. There is literally wild animals in my house and they will do nothing about it but cancel my maintenance requests. ITS BEEN 6 MONTHS!

Fantastic experience: I rented from alot of different companies over the years and I have to say MPI is one of the best! The maintenance staff goes the extra mile to make sure the job is done right ! Jeff is great he demo out my entire bathroom and got it mostly put back together to a point i was able to use it in one day then came back a 2nd day to finish it up. Negative experience: Six calls in one week, five voice-mail left, one call answered with promise of next-day call back, and no calls have been returned. Simple issue, oven heating element is not working. The owners of our property were never prompt with maintenance either, but for them to choose MPI has been a further detriment to us as tenants.
