Negative experience: Terrible experience with buyer's agent. Showed no interest or initiative, took an issue with our preferences and had no patience when we didn't purchase the first house shown.

Fantastic experience: The support we received from Nick Ungerleider as our real estate agent and Pace of Richmond as our agency for our buying and selling process far exceeded our expectations. On the buying side, Nick sought to understand our needs and tight timelines and made himself available whenever an opportunity for a house that met our requirements came on the market, and if he was not available, he provided a backup agent that could meet us to see homes. Nick also reached out to his network of all Richmond area agents to understand what would be coming on the market in the near pipeline, which helped us as we were making decisions on home options. Within a 3 week period of time, we ultimately saw every house in our target area and price point, and were able to win an offer on a house at below asking price, with additional concessions made for inspection items. Nick's team provided referrals for a mortgage broker, inspectors, an electrician and HVAC professional for inspection input, and closing out questions with the HoA. Additionally we were referred to a real estate attorney and Nick attended the closing with us. On the selling side of the process, we had support with timely, strategic pricing, house staging, photography, marketing and signage. Nick sought to really understand the history of our house and neighborhood and created a marketing campaign intended to identify potential buyers that would truly be interested in buying our home. He held a targeted open house and private showings, that ultimately resulted in multiple offers after only 4 days of our house being on the market and available for viewing. We settled on a price above asking, no additional concessions requested from our buyers and a quick closing date. Nick is personable, optimistic, energetic, creative with ideas for targeting buyers, extremely responsive and communicates regularly throughout the process. One area to highlight about Nick's support as an agent was his transparency when it came to contractual obligations, fees and commissions throughout the process. The honesty and open dialogue was greatly appreciated and quickly earned our trust and gratitude. Nick also had a local artist render a drawing of our new house as a gift for our family to display in our new home.
