Fantastic experience: I brought 8 people from all over the country together for a business retreat at Lake Murray. The 8 bedroom vacation home was perfect for our group. It is a one in a million home with 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, huge enclosed deck, boat launch ramp, fire pit, dock, hot tub, pool, directly on the lake. The service and amenities helped us execute on our purpose. And we had a ton of fun as well. The amazing hot tub and pool with the lake view enabled meaningful memories. The Heartwood team took good care of us. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Everything was really perfect except the beds were really low and hard to get out and one mattress had a sink in the middle. After paying cleaning fees l don’t think you should ask your guest to wash dishes which l did!

Fantastic experience: I stayed in Unit 3 at Brennen Rd and it exceeded my expectations! One of the bedrooms was separated by a hallway, which added privacy, and the main apartment was comfortable and cozy. Would definitely like to stay again when visiting the Columbia area.

Fantastic experience: Great location with walk to college and five points. Clean, well supplied, full temp control, many charger outlets, door combo key with auto lock, plenty of linen and comfortable beds with comfy linen. We would stay again for sure. Also, added nice touch was grad card, mints and wrist band to congrats to our graduate’s.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing house! It had everything we needed from ample room in all 4 bedrooms to a fully stocked kitchen. The decor was beautiful and comfortable. Our favorite part, was relaxing on the HUGE screen porch with lots of great seating, mounted tv, and peaceful views in a tucked away secret section of lake Murray. We will for sure be back to enjoy the great fishing and bird watching.

Fantastic experience: We did a girls trip to Columbia SC and had wonderful time. A little miscommunication in the beginning, however, everything became a full circle. Wendy was a great host and each time I reached out to her, I received an almost immediate response. The home was spacious, beds comfy and the pool was nice and clean. Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. Now I could be saying that because my primary purpose was to visit my cousin at his last week with his restaurant. But the house was fantastic as well as the amenities. It is a classic house with modern remodeling that match the alure of the home very well. The hot tub is fantastic and we had all of the utensils and servings to enjoy some home cooked meals.

Fantastic experience: It was a beautiful and peaceful place. We will stay there again and I highly recommend it. The lake view is awesome! I enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset on the dock and reading my book on the screen porch.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful property well maintained and beautiful furnished and designed for maximum comfort. Our kids loved the bunk beds and their own full bath. The kitchen is stocked with anything you would need to cook with at the ready. The view and the dock area were our favorite. There is one kayak and a few life jackets on site. There is a grill but we didn't use it. Very quiet tucked away off of busy roads. It was our second time here and it is becoming our spring break go to location. Can't wait to be back this time next year

The place was spotless from top to bottom, offered more than enough room to spread out, and came fully stocked with nice kitchen amenities—plus a relaxing hot tub! Communication with the owner was seamless, friendly, and prompt. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear this home is meticulously cared for. All surfaces—from the gleaming hardwood floors to the pristine countertops—looked freshly cleaned. With two generously sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms, there was plenty of room for our group of three.This rental truly has it all. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, and utensils. The living room boasted a large smart TV and fast Wi‑Fi (ideal for streaming or remote work). Outside, the backyard and hot tub was an absolute highlight: pristine, well‑heated, and the perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring Columbia. Our host was fantastic. Check‑in instructions were clear and easy, and they even followed up midway through our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. It’s a quick 10 minutes to the University of South Carolina and all surrounding sites were less than 15 minutes. This rental exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you’re in Columbia for business, family visits, or a weekend getaway, you’ll find everything you need here—and then some. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a clean, spacious, and well‑managed home away from home.

Fantastic experience: Wendy was very responsive to the few questions we had. This was the second time we had stayed at lakeshore lodge. It had plenty of room for 3 grandkids and 4 adults. We can't wait to come back when the weather is alittle warmer. Grandkids still braved the pool. We all enjoyed the amazing views while playing games at the table.

I just thought it should of been more TVs in the house instead of 2 in a 3 bedroom house. Everything else was fine. I would book again if I'm in that area.

Fantastic experience: We attended our daughter’s USC softball game. We always look for properties close to Beckham Field. This was an amazing property! Very clean with everything we needed for our short stay. The bed was super comfy and the whole apartment was decorated so cute! The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had! We will definitely stay here in the near future!

Fantastic experience: It was very convenient, close to shopping, only 20 minutes from the military base. The home was very clean, newly remodeled, very spacious and an open concept. The only downside, 1 television in a 4 bedroom home. I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic experience: Your home has a great feel and vibe. Very clean, fully stocked with basic essentials. My wife cut herself while cooking and there was a fully stocked first aid kit to use. Hot tub was great and we really enjoyed the deep tub that u have. Great Wi-Fi so we were able to hop call of duty nice restaurants in the city area as well. Great home to rent we will stay again soon

Positive experience: Satisfactory in every way, except for the coffeemaker. It apparently was set to a timer, so did not make coffee until after we’d gone out for the day. Fortunately there was a nearby Starbucks. Great location for connecting with the airport

Fantastic experience: Rented to attend my son’s army graduation at Fort Jackson. It was approximately a 20 minute drive to the base and near many grocery stores and retail stores. The property manager responded to messages right away and addressed a concern we had and resolved it. The home was spacious and had mostly everything we needed. Very quiet area while we were there. Happy to find a comfortable place at a reasonable price. One issue was parking on the side of the road or one vehicle allowed in the driveway but we only had one vehicle so it wasn’t a problem but if you have more than one vehicle you’ll have to figure out parking. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Great place to stay. House was just as expected and clean. Walking distance to local restaurants and a 20 minute drive to Fort Jackson. My only recommendation would be TV in guest rooms.

Fantastic experience: We had to book The Gypsy very last minute for a couple days due to our house needing repairs and wow, it was awesome. It was SO well-designed (I mean, SO cool!), spacious for our family and in a quiet but central area! Our host was very responsive with any questions we had. We’ll definitely be booking here again when we need a staycation!!

Fantastic experience: First off the drive was very pleasant. The instructions on how to access the property was spot on! The layout of the entire house including the bathrooms was pretty impressive. Being able to overlook the lake from the rooms was a huge bonus. I even caught a nice striped bass on the dock!!! This was a quiet tucked away place and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The place was very clean!!!! I can’t wait to book again. If you are reading this you should book as well you won’t regret it…

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful family weekend at the lake. The house was easy to find and very clean. It had everything that we needed and then some for our stay. We cooked a few meals and were really impressed that the kitchen was fully stocked. We especially enjoyed playing games in the backyard by the lake and relaxing by the fire pit.

Fantastic experience: This was a good find. Really comfortable beds and bedding. Everything was clean. We didn't cook there but the kitchen seemed sufficiently appointed. Nice community areas with comfortable couches and a big dining room. Nice off-street parking, and the neighbors were quiet and seemed nice. The cleaning fee seems a little high, but less so if you consider how big the space is, and given that, the rate we paid was a great deal. I would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, cozy and clean. Only concern was a loose spot on the floor that started popping up when we first arrived. It's between the two bedrooms and a few soft spots where the floor felt like it would give under weight but that could have been my imagination. Also no latch on the screen door. Just something they may want to look into but otherwise the house was great

Fantastic experience: The house was perfect for our 15 day stay. We were there because our daughter had surgery and she needed some assistance with just about everything. This house is spacious and clean with nice outdoor spaces. We loved having two TV rooms and the desk in the bedroom was also used quite frequently. The big dining table was a bonus for my husband to spread out and work “from home”. The fenced in backyard was the perfect size and space for our pups. We also loved the location being just right across the bridge from USC. We stay in Columbia quite often to visit our daughter and this property is now our #1!

The beds were fresh and not WORN DOWN. I LOVED the location. It was a quite and convenient spot. Negative experience: This company is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST TO DEAL WITH. We are currently renting an Airbnb through them and our house was NOT cleaned when we got in on Sunday 12/1. We reported the nastiness and they sent another crew to clean again on Monday. Please let me tell you that their cleaning people DO NOT know how to clean. They also only mop once a month, which is absolutely disgusting and they DO NOT wipe anything down. We have taken multiple pictures, have submitted them and have contacted Airbnb. The Manager, if that is really who she is cause she did not give me her name, is EXTREMELY RUDE AND IGNORANT. WE WILL NEVER RENT ANOTHER THING THROUGH THIS AWFUL COMPANY.

Fantastic experience: The home was absolutely stunning. The view is beautiful. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to make a full Thanksgiving meal there for family and friends. The host was very responsive. We would definitely stay there again!

Positive experience: We had a great stay at our Heartland Homes rental. Very comfortable home with comfortable beds- something often lacking in a lot of short term rentals. Any communication with the host was answered almost immediately. We were there to visit our USC student and see the football game- it was a 20-25 min drive to the stadium or campus. Would definitely stay here again

Fantastic experience: Overall great experience, they were very quick with any and all questions we had. Bedding was nice and clean, not all beds were as comfortable as the main bedroom. Cleanliness was good, but felt outside spaces should have been cleaned up a little better. 5 out of 5, would stay here again.

Positive experience: This was a beautiful home with all the amenities you could ask for. The only reason that I did not give a 5 star was that the back door did not lock nor did the back screen door so the house could not be secured at night or when we left. That was concerning, but it is in a very secluded and safe area, so we were not panicked about it. The kayaks were a blast, and the layout of the home is lovely!

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Rose Hill Retreat in South Carolina. Our house was beautiful and fully functional. We had everything we needed to have an amazing stay. It was even better than the pictures showed. The beds were so amazingly comfortable. Unfortunately, the hurricane made us have to leave a day early and the owners made sure that we got a prorated refund sent to us. They were so accommodating of our situation. I would HIGHLY recommend staying there!

Positive experience: Loved open floor plan. Great location. A couple suggestions, replace the light bulbs on front porch. Difficult coming in at night to see walkway and steps. Bed in the front bedroom is only a mattress on a wood frame. Would be more comfortable with a box spring. All in all enjoyed our stay

Positive experience: The townhouse was large and clean. I t was perfect for what we needed and in a great location. The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 is the train tracks. From other reviews we were prepared for the train whistle, just didn't expect it to be so loud and long at 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning depending on the day.

Fantastic experience: Honest review - Genuinely loved our AirBnB. So beautifully decorated and such a cute town! Had everything we needed and we would absolutely stay again. The only thing I felt could have used a little more attention was the cleaning pre-arrival. There were dirty towels under the sink that were missed in preparation of our arrival, as well as some food splatters on the cabinets. Also, we were a tad confused by the check out process. In the unit was a notice of “chore free check out” telling us to just put dirty dishes in the sink and leave everything else to them, - “leave everything but the kitchen sink”. - However, upon checking out as we were leaving, I discovered a message from the host in the app giving a chore list to include taking out all the trash, loading and starting the dishwasher, removing all food from fridge and cabinets, etc.. No big deal, I can handle cleaning up after myself. I just felt that some clarification on what is expected may be needed considering what is posted in the unit and what is required. Otherwise, we had no issues and loved our stay!
