Experiencia negativa: I rented an apartment on 13th Street from Schulhof from 2013-2016. On more than one occasion I thought I smelled gas coming from my stove. When I contacted the leasing office with my concerns, I was dismissed. Before my lease ended, I began to experience hallucinations and night terrors, to the degree that my neighbor, the building manager, called the police for a wellness check. The scariest thing about night terrors is that you might not remember them, so when I answered the door in the early hours and spoke with MPD officers who came to check on me, I had no recollection. General advice: if you suspect a gas leak, call the fire department, not the landlord.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give Schulhof Properties 11 out of 5 stars, I would. I have had a truly exceptional experience living here and interacting with the entire staff. From Deb in the office, to Katie in leasing, to Dan in maintenance, they consistently go above and beyond, prioritizing the needs of their tenants. Whenever I have needed to contact maintenance (not often), they have arrived at my apartment within TEN minutes. The neighbors (friends) I have made while living here are truly remarkable. Words cannot begin to describe the utmost appreciation I have for this company and everyone involved. I have lived in numerous apartments throughout the country for years, and Schulhof, by far, takes the cake. I wish Schulhof Properties were located in every city!

Experiencia negativa: This management company only cares about money. Have not met a simple person that has had a pleasurable experience with them. I should’ve read the recent reviews before ever considering them. Ended up having to file a complaint with DATCP.

Experiencia negativa: Every person who works for this company is rude, disorganized, and only cares about taking as much money from you as possible. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to constantly threaten them with legal action because that is the only thing that makes them pay attention to you.

Experiencia negativa: I set up an appointment, and when I went to the unit, they said I couldn't see it because they didn't tell the tenant beforehand. MIND you the units post said available to move in right away, and they made me drive to the place, waisting my time. Not reliable, don't recommend this place horribly managed. 0/10

Experiencia negativa: My son, a uwm student, applied for a place with my husband as co-signor. However, our application was denied due to my husband's insufficient credit score. We offered to have my older son as co-signor, who had been co-signor for previous rentals without any issues. But the owner refused to even consider. People need to understand one bad apple does not make the whole basket bad.

Experiencia negativa: This property is absolutely the worst property to deal with. They lie into your face and change their word instantly based on whatever benefits them better. The staff are the rudest people I have ever talked to in my entire life. Not only they’re not helpful AT ALL, but they make everything hard and impossible to work.

Experiencia positiva: I am living at Westgate for more than 2 years now. Here are pros and cons of the management and apartments, Westgate in particular. Pros: I found management is responsible, maintenance response promptly in case of any issues, central heating (management pay for heating), living room AC, store room at basement, and apartment is clean. Cons: Old apartments, kitchen and restroom are too small, and washers are too small to throughly clean large items like bedsheets, comforters, and blankets. 2022-2023 rent amount: typically $675 per month (additional $50 for two person). They offer indoor parking for an additional $110 per month. Overall, not bad for this range.

It's a very affordable apartment. Despite its budget-friendly price, it has exceeded my expectations.

Experiencia fantástica: For one and a half years, I have been living in Celeste (N 5235), a residence with one bathroom. Prior to that, I resided in Studio 523 for six months. During both periods, I had the privilege of living in a clean and peaceful environment that was conveniently located near the university. Moreover the quick response to maintenance requests from Schulhof Property Management is a highlight of my experience with them. For instance, they quickly fixed my refrigerator's issue not once, but twice. Ultimately, they decided to replace it with a brand-new refrigerator, greatly improving our quality of life.

Landlord in my building is very responsive to all my needs and is always willing to help if I need it. My building, the Janola, has an old-timey feeling, which I really like. My 1 bedroom is absolutely perfect for me right now, and I really like the location as well as the responsiveness of the Schulhof staff.

I actually happened to stumble upon an open house for the building while I was apartment hunting and I am so grateful that I did! The unit I have is really nice and so affordable especially with utilities included! It is quiet and well taken care of. Our apartment manager is on top of everything and the building is spotless! The owner of Schulhof takes care of his tenants, especially those that have lived at his buildings for quite some time. When rent had to be raised with the costs of living going up after COVID, he called to ask what I could afford in an increase instead of just slapping on a raise in rent. I appreciate how much he invests in his tenants! I would recommend living at one of the properties to anyone!

I am in my second place with them and I will say their service/maintenance team has always been great - responded quick and they were very respectable. My only service issue is having had complained multiple times about my garage spot having water dripping onto my car (worried about the paint) but after a few times they got it fixed. I've never really been late on payments so there's been no issue. I've been given attitude a few times when calling the office for questions and help but I understand everyone has bad days, it doesn't define them. Overall, they've been reliable and I can't say I've had too many issues.

Have gotten work laptop, doormat, multiple amazon deliveries stolen while at work and school. I recommend getting it dropped off to Schulhof office which is an option or only scheduling delivery dates you'll for sure be there for.

The Caroline is very conveniently situated on the Marquette campus, making it an easy walk to classes. I signed a year lease and it was a very swift and easy process. Maintenance was quick and efficient, the majority of the time. Maryland Court has the best value. They are affordable while still being close to campus and spacious apartments. The one thing I wish Schulhof had was a form of online payment for rent. I was nervous wondering if my check actually made it in the mail, or if I would get charged the strict late fee. I think having an online pay system would fix that very quickly.

I have lived here for the last 10 months and it has been about as seamless as I could have asked. Our shower drain was clogged when we first moved in and they had someone out to fix it within 24 hours, and any minor requests were treated as soon as possible with clear communication before and after the fact. In terms of value, I think Maryland Court is up there for housing in the area. Avenues West definitely has some drawbacks, but I never felt unsafe at my apartment and the locked lobby doors with the intercom system plays a big role in that. The one thing I wish Schulhof had was some form of online pay for rent. I always felt a bit on edge wondering if my check actually made it in the mail, and having an online pay/receipt system would go a long way to reassuring I wasn't "missing" a payment. Nonetheless, I've had a great experience and would definitely recommend living with Schulhof!

One of the most appealing aspects of living here is that the rent has never increased, despite many other landlords raising their prices over the same period. This stability has been a significant relief and has allowed me to focus on other important things. The location of the Janola apartments is another benefit. It's incredibly convenient for students, as it's in close proximity. In addition, the frequent patrols by the MUPD offer an extra level of security and peace of mind. One of the standout features of the Janola apartments, however, is the apartment manager, Marshal. He is incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to lend a hand or answer any questions. Having a reliable and approachable apartment manager can make a significant difference in the overall living experience, and Marshal certainly excels in this aspect. All in all, my experience living in the Janola apartments has been fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to students having a tight budget.

It's affordable and I love that our unit has hardwood floors - although old they are easier to clean than carpet in a rented space. Compared to other apartments in the price range, Maryland Court has quite a bit of storage throughout the unit. There have been some periods of time throughout the last two years where there is limited hot water.. but the issue has usually been resolved and they said they were updating boilers. For an older place, we haven't had many problems with mice or pests which is very much appreciated.

The folks in repair/maintenance are very responsive and kind. They made my move-in (which can be stressful) a very pleasant experience, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order. The property manager is also very kind and diligent, as he routinely cleans up the property and is always in a cheerful mood. I highly recommend Schulhof!

With their help I was able to find the perfect place for me to live and they have been very helpful during the entirety of my lease. For any issues I have had they have sent someone within the next 24 hours to come fix whatever the small issue was. I definitely would recommend living in Schulhof property

I have called maintenance for a couple of minor problems and they responded immediately. Maintenance does efficient, quality work. I would recommend renting from Schulhof.

Experiencia fantástica: epairs are always done in a timely manner which is much appreciated. Once we did not have any hot water and I called my apartment manager (Alex) and he immediately tried to fix the issue, despite it being the weekend. Alex is really great, super responsive and understanding of issues tenants may have. The unit itself in Maryland Court is nice and spacious. We ended up getting a great deal on the place after some confusion with our first choice for apartments, so it was great that they were able to rectify the situation and give us a discount for the trouble. We really enjoy the natural light in the building and the old architecture. My favorite part is the original counsel we have in the dining room, very pretty and convenient ! Despite the age of the unit, we have never once had issues with pests or anything of the sort. Photos are the view from our 3rd floor unit in the dining room. I love to just sit and drink coffee in the dining room on sunny mornings, the view is so gorgeous.

The management company has been fairly quick in responses to problems that come up which have been few and far between. He's been there 2 years and definitely recommend this place. Very happy with Schulhof properties.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been renting from Schulhof Properties for about a year, and I haven't had any complaints. The building is well-maintained and clean. I am living in Studio 523, which has decently sized studio apartments for a reasonable price. All utilities are included except Wifi which is great.

Experiencia fantástica: My name is Diana, I have been living in one of the studios that Schulhof Property Management rents for more than 1 year and all I could say is that there are a lot of reasons why I like to rent there. Some of those reasons are because they only rent to students which makes you feel more save, it’s cheap and includes all utilities, they have in unit laundry, peaceful environment and the best part is that is near campus.

Experiencia fantástica: Great apartments around Marquette campus. Building is constantly cleaned from dirt and in winter from snow. Property managers always address any fixing problems either with sewage, electricity or windows.
