Experiencia negativa: Very unprofessional and bias we have had new neighbors for 6 months and been a problem since day one. They start things with you then complain to leasing office. They always tell half the story and the company sides with them . Starting to think it’s a race thing .

Experiencia positiva: I moved in a little over a month ago. The process of the background check and asking for multiple forms of proof of my income was a bit annoying and took a lot longer than I excepted but Michelle was nice / polite about it. When I moved in, my apartment was dirty so I had to clean it up when I moved in but the company so far has been good with communication and fixed my kitchen sink the same day I requested it. So far, I like living where I am and the company is great so far beside the place being dirty when I moved in. Everyone has been nice and professional , I think they just missed requesting the place to be cleaned before I moved in. Not sure why, I moved in 2 weeks after I signed the lease.

Experiencia fantástica: As an apartment manager myself, I made sure my daughter’s apartment once she moved out was cleaned to move in ready. We asked why they still charged a cleaning fee and have not gotten a response. Since move in over a year ago, there was numerous problems with mold. Ofcoarse they did nothing to determine where the moisture was coming from and mad her clean her self before just repainting? Beware of this property management. Here are the pics right before we turned in keys, even mopped the floor as I was exiting the property. This was move in ready. Speaking to management, they have refunded back the 80 cleaning fee.

Experiencia negativa: Very bad Management at 1116 W 40th pl LA CA 90037 by Rems. Carlo and his boss joseph geonetta are very favorable towards the new tenants. I am moving due to new neighbors being disruptive and problematic. Seems like they(management) take they're sides and or might be related to the new neighbors but either way we are leaving due to favorism. We suggest you don't move into 1114 w 40th pl. Also there is a new building next door which has homeless people leaving there and are always looking into my apartment. Very uncomfortable to live here now. And every time I ask them to fix something they take months. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Experiencia negativa: They are absolutely horrible. The office is always closed, no one to answer calls or maintenance requests. Laundry locked all Saturday. I had to buy clothes for my son and myself. We called over and over to the after hours number and the my said they were sending someone to unlock the door. Hours later they still have not come. Called again and the answering service was not a delight to speak to. But mind you if I did not pay rent they would have time to put the 3 day notice in my door!!!

Experiencia negativa: Update: Michelle claims that my paystubs were false, but had she looked further she would have seen that the company was established for more than 10 years in Little Rock, Arkansas (April 2013) and then transferred to California June 27, 2023. She even emailed me to ask me about Arkansas addresses on my background check. Which proves that although I do not LIVE in Little Rock, I DID live there for the majority of my life and made lasting connections. So perhaps the next time, more questions should be ask so that clarification could be provided. How are paystubs fictitious if you spoke to my employer and she verified my pay. I had to bring an entire bank account to her attention that they failed to notice on my initial stubs. Does that sound like someone who is trying to throw around fakes? Also… Is what you’re claiming not considered defamation? Those are some very hard claims. You sure you can prove it to be true?

Soon after applying, Michelle followed up to let us know the unit was no longer available, but offered to transfer our applications to another unit. Relieved, we happily agreed to do so and toured the unit the following day. Michelle's communication throughout the entire process was seamless, quick, and thorough. In my experience coming from one of the worst management companies in LA, "The turtle leasing company", who is completely unprofessional and has no idea what they are doing, THIS IS A BREATHE OF FRESH AIR. This company is professional, quick to respond, helpful, understanding and genuinely seems to care about the people they deal with. Michelle is the one who helped me in the process of securing the place and I love her dearly. 10/10 recommend giving her a pay raise as she does her job phenomenally.

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent from R.E.M.S, Inc , they will made up stupid payments at your account, they would charge for every service you requested. When l we first rent they said we are only required to paid for gas and electric but later they add trash service $55 and was not in the contract. Very disappointed, really bad service , bad people , stupid payments for everything $375 for Hauling stuff that was not mine, $150 for a party not from my apartment $160 for plumber.

Experiencia fantástica: Great service: I applied for an apartment on a Saturday and received an update that following Monday. It took less than a week to get approved for the apartment. Michelle provided me updates every step of the process: application review, rental history reference checks, employment verification, when to make my security deposit, and when to pick up my keys. Fabian, at the front desk in their Torrance office, also ensured that I received receipts for the payments I made via cashier checks. The apartment I got in particular didn’t come with blinds for the windows(3), so I plan to install curtains soon. Overall a good process and Michelle was very responsive when I had questions or called.

Since day one she was professional and answered all my questions. She helped us throughout the process ( we are not that tech people) however she was patient and made us feel comfortable working with her. Also the staff is great. The receptionist Doris is so sweet and caring. She suggested for me to see the house sooner if I was really interested. Thanks to her I saw it first and were able to rent it.
