Experiencia negativa: Their agent Jared says on their website "The hardest part in real estate is finding people that are looking to buy or sell real estate. The Hogan Group connects their agents with people that are looking to do just that." Well I'm a buyer with cash ready to pay asking price and I don't need to qualify and Jared is the listing agent. Last I checked the listing agent is charged with representing the seller and to bring all offers to sell his clients home. Does Jared want to sell the house for his seller? Nope, says he's busy, but if the house is still available next week, he'll give me a call. Think about that for a second and ask yourself if that's even ethical.

I would not recommend them to anyone else after using this company to sell my home this year. Days would go by before my phone calls were returned. Selling a house is already a stressful time, but my realtor managed to make it significantly worse.

Experiencia fantástica: One agent, Tamara Totman, stands out super helpful and effective. She guided us through the new home purchase with her expertise, especially with a warm heart. Supposedly a long and complicated process, but she made it pleasant and enjoyable. There were issues that could be hurdles towards a closing, she worked very hard and communicated with all parties to make it work. Before we found Tamara, we contacted 3 other Virginia brokers, all well known on Youtube and social media. We were left stranded, either no call backs, or half-heartedness. We were not even able to set up a single house tour. We were really fortunate to finally come across Tamara. She not only arranged our tour with ease, but also did great preparation with all the information about the houses,communities and more. We conducted only one tour and made a successful purchase. Laurie was very attentive to what I was looking for, gave excellent advice when I asked, and really made sure I felt taken care of every step of the home buying process. Experiencia fantástica: Last summer we decided on a whim that we wanted to tour a house we found on Zillow, and hit the button to schedule a tour. Fate assigned Gerri Archer to us and we are so happy it did! She was so great to work with; she explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and was super accessible. We ended up not buying that house and building instead, but we still had Gerri represent us when it was time to sell the house we were living in. She helped us set realistic expectations and helped us stage the house, without having to buy/rent/borrow a bunch of stuff. We accepted an offer the first weekend it was up for sale, and Gerri was amazing when it came to helping us negotiate and handling the other agent’s questions. She really helped put us at ease during what is traditionally a super stressful time. We don’t have any intention of moving again, but if we did we would absolutely have her represent us again!

While we've moved a couple of times previously, this was our only interstate move. To say the least, it was much more complicated. Additionally, we had been in our previous home for 23 years. We were very happy to find Patrick Judy to help us in our home search. Patrick was always available to us via phone, text, or email. We were able to make a few trips from NJ to VA and Patrick was always able to help us find homes of interest. When we couldn't make it to VA, Patrick provided us with virtual tours and videos of various properties. When he couldn't do the tour himself, he was able to arrange for another agent to conduct the tour. Therefore, we are thankful to Matt Gifford for his assistance. Angie was AMAZING. The market this spring was extremely tough (we put something like 9 offers on homes over 4 weekends before finally getting one accepted), and she guided us seamlessly and tirelessly through the whole process. From selling to purchasing and everything in between, Angie with Hogan Group made us feel top priority, and the boutique feel of the firm (they have a financing and closing firm they work with) was like going on an all-inclusive cruise—it was so easy! The firm doesn’t treat you as just another sale; you’re a real person to them, they absolutely understand how personal buying and selling a home is, and we have also loved keeping in touch with Angie after closing. Experiencia fantástica: I am new to the Richmond area so I took a chance with finding a local realtor who I had never met before. Amanda Dowler was so responsive from my first contact with her in trying to find a home in the local area. She was patient and kind and when our first bid didn't work out kept a very positive attitude and promised me we would find the home for me. She was very knowledgeable in the contract negotiation process during the first contract we submitted. Once I did find the home I would eventually buy, she helped me understand the many scenarios the lenders presented to me. I ended up with a new build and she was with me during the design process and construction and offered great advice and was the intermediary between myself and the builder. She has also been fantastic during the walk through process of the new home and helped me identify issues that needed to be resolved prior to settlement. She has always been available via phone, text, email and always returned any message promptly. She has been a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her.

He also offered great recommendations for various vendors / service providers. As a first time homebuyer, I was very grateful to have Matt on my side. After some issues arose during my closing, Matt continued to check in post-closing, to help me and advocate on my behalf. If I could, I would honestly give a 6th star for Matt's ability to handle a difficult seller's agent and a closing worthy of its own SNL skit. We had only done some research online. Alison has great connections, tons of information, educational resources, and she felt like the best friend you could have. Not just in this process but in general. She was so friendly and nice. She looked for things that we didn't even think to look for. She was transparent about everything, like explaining timelines for offers on houses. Which was really helpful. She was and is a truly amazing person that will bend over backwards to get whatever you need done, done. As an example that most of those reading this will never relate to. I had met, worked with, and did everything, outside of my closing date, from across the globe through email, with Miss England Rozum. I live in Richmond, VA and was at sea in the south Pacific when I found my first investment property. I had zero contact with the world except for my email address and that didn't steer away England's attempt and eventual success on helping me every step of the way in my purchase. Due to our being overseas, Jerry setup many virtual meetings and walkthroughs of properties for us.
