Fantastic experience: Ivory and John have been crucial in helping my family, including a pregnant wife and now newborn, be safe and happy. Especially with the issue of many of us falling down the stairs. They installed a rail once too many people had fallen to be coincidence. Normally I’d make this 4 stars since the railing had been needed for a while and wasn’t going anywhere, but it sounds like that was more of an issue in communications with the property owner and a few other factors, so I won’t hold it against Ivory and John.

Negative experience: MY buyer beware is in no way regarding any decision that the company made. They provided false information about where to find the information they ran. The appfolio request that they provided claimed they did not in fact run anything. Often unprofessional companies do this. When asked about their error they said that they were experiencing a learning curve. Jeanette is the one who spoke about this. It is important to recognize that poor communication practices are a routine for this company in Tacoma. There practices of disclosure are also unprofessional. The other Keyrenters in other states seem to have more supportive practices. Buyer beware. The market is aggressive enough in Tacoma for the customer service to be poor and the real agents to be few and still learning their trade. The field agent in Morten, Wa said that there is not really a brick and mortar office in Tacoma, only field agents. In addition Jeanette stated that they are still working on the learning curve with accurate reporting to customers. The concern here is that I wonder if the information provided to this company is protected as the law requires. If their reporting is inaccurate for inquiry then this Tacoma branch needs more training? Use with caution only. Maybe meet a 'field agent'' first and visit a real office to see their current listings instead of relying solely on what they print online. Beware.

Fantastic experience: Keyrenters redefines what a rental company is. It feels like renting from a friend, they go miles above and beyond for their residents. Recently our oven went super nova on us so I reached out to Ivory. I just mentioned we relied on the stove for cleaning medical equipment - she not only stayed on top of the repair following up and making sure everything was fixed- she got us a loaner to clean my baby's medical equipment in the mean time. Ivory is just amazing, she always gets things taken care of, and she is just great. Jeanette is an absolutely wonderful property manager, we had a few little bumps moving in, she was right there helping us resolve every issue we had. She is always willing to help point us in the right direction and get anything resolved! We had an issue with our water - Jeanette and Luis had it resolved within an hour of us reaching out. I would recommend Keyrenters to anyone - heck while in labor I told the nurse how great they are. They are just wonderful. I love living in one of their properties - never thought I would love a rental company! But hey when you're are amazing as these guys how can you not appreciate them!

Fantastic experience: Keyrenter Tacoma has gone above and beyond as my property management company. Even prior to taking over the property officially, the owner, Peter, had a new dryer in my home, after 6 weeks of waiting for action from the previous company, Spinnaker. While there has been some major structural issues in the home, the head of maintenance Ivory Jerome, has provided consistent and professional communication to me, while working behind the scenes to get the owner of the home to make the necessary repairs. Ivory follows through and checks in about the progress of any service requests in a timely manner. Most recently, I entered an urgent request and within 15 minutes (it was after normal office hours, too!), Ivory called me and gathered more information about the issue. I was able to make a temporary solution and her tech was out first thing the next morning to complete the repair. In my experience, the entire Keyrenter team, from the ownership to management, to the techs and leasing agents, show genuine care in their approach to working with their residents. Thank you, Ivory and Peter, especially for all that you do!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars, I would... Update: Deposit was received in a timely manner only due to the processor service not Keyrenter. And if you want to know how certain positive reviews of Keyrenter seem to flood the reviews, youtube how google reviews work. Keyrenter attempted to have this review removed when I first posted it. Google reviews works and they are our platform to get companies like Keyrenter to do better or quit doing business. 3 weeks ago the house was still empty, lockbox on the door with an exposed pvc pipe and a shovel stuck standing in the yard. Update 07/23/2025...I received a handful of emails yesterday afternoon from Keyrenter after the Deposits and Fees training that Kirsten Berg and other Keyrenter staff also attended. Keyrenter states they direct deposit the full funds into my account. It's been all fun and games from the beginning, let's see what happens. OperationMamaBear2025 is on X if you want to see how this all began and now I can update that account and the album that holds all pics and videos. I will add links when that is done. * PLEASE STAND UP FOR YOURSELF WHEN DEALING WITH THESE "HOUSING PROVIDERS" AND DO IT PUBLICLY FOLLOWING THE PLATFORM'S GUIDELINES. LEAVE ALL PERSONAL FEELINGS AND INNOCENT PEOPLE OUT OF IT. DO NOT ATTACK THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, CHILDREN, OR PERSONAL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS; EXPOSE THEIR BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES HERE ON GOOGLE REVIEWS. Update...07/22/2025...as of today, I have heard nothing about my $2500 deposit or $66 dollar credit. I had a difficult time finding there office and did not get a chance to speak with anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would. This company seems to have picked up where our slumlords left off... UPDATE 06062025: Yesterday, I attempted for the third time tp speak with someone at Keyrenter and finally got a call from someone who told me someone else said...i went through three people talking about someone else said...so, I asked could I speak to property management as they were relaying messages through there maintenance while I was on hold. I finally got to speak with Mr. Peter, the same man who shook my hand in February or March and apologized for everything we had been through with the owners John and Kate Frazier and their namesake LLC. He said to let them know when the grass needs cutting because they would take care of it. Instead of wanting to talk about maintenance, he wanted to talk about this google post and attempted to threaten me with civil suit for slander. I would love to talk to a judge about my experiences living at proprty 707 in Tacoma and explain what my children have endured for a year. The grass got cut before sundown yesterday, and I'm thankful. I told Mr. Peter I would update my post, and I have. I will take it down once we have moved and received our deposit back. I am doing my best to give the benefit of doubt, but the evidence and experience is too loud. I will update again.

Negative experience: As a retired Command Sergeant Major with over two decades of leadership experience, I value integrity, professionalism, and accountability — qualities this rental agency and its representatives severely lack. I hired this company based on their promise to have my property rented within 2–3 weeks. That never happened. After repeatedly reaching out for updates, I was eventually told the price was “too high” — a conversation that should have taken place immediately, not months later. I authorized them to list it at whatever price necessary to secure a tenant, yet there was no follow-through, no updates, and no communication. Because I live out of state, I relied on them to manage the property responsibly. Instead, I was blindsided with over $600 in unpaid utility bills because they ignored multiple notices sent directly to them and failed to notify me. On top of that, my yard was completely neglected, ultimately costing me over $3,000 to restore. The most alarming part is their business practices. Under the direction of Krym and Zack, they refused to release my property from their contract until I removed my honest review. Leveraging someone’s home to silence the truth is unethical, unacceptable, and, in my opinion, borders on criminal behavior. This experience was defined by broken promises, financial loss, and a disturbing lack of accountability. If you value transparency, professionalism, and respect, I strongly advise you to avoid doing business with this agency.

Tannia, your initial review falsely identified you as a tenant, which misrepresented your role as the property owner. From the beginning of our agreement, we advised that your requested rental rate was $400–$500 above market value and would likely delay leasing. Despite this, you insisted on the higher price due to your mortgage. As expected, the property remained vacant for six weeks.

Keyrenter Tacoma does not benefit from prolonged vacancies. In fact, we absorb the marketing costs and do not charge a management fee while a property is unoccupied. After several attempts, we were able to reduce the price, and interest in the home followed. At that point, you chose to move forward with selling the property.

Regarding utility bills and lawn care: per standard practice, utility expenses fall under the owner’s responsibility while a home is vacant. Routine lawn maintenance was provided during the marketing period at no cost to you. The $3,000 lawn restoration you mentioned was completed to prepare the property for sale, not due to any negligence on our part.

Our agreement clearly outlines a cancellation fee—equal to one month’s rent—if an owner pulls a property off the market after we’ve invested in marketing. In good faith, we reduced this to $500. The only additional cost was for the removal of a mattress at your request. Despite benefiting from our services, you declined to cover these reasonable expenses.

Due to nonpayment, we informed you professionally that we would be forced to pursue a lien on the property if the balance remained unpaid. Your real estate agent was given full authority by our team to move forward with all listing and sale-related responsibilities.

As a veteran-owned company, it’s unsettling to see someone distort the facts and retaliate by posting misleading reviews—particularly after a mutual and respectful resolution had been reached. We take accountability seriously and welcome constructive feedback, but we cannot remain silent in the face of false and damaging claims.

It is unfortunate to see a second review submitted only after the successful sale of your home. While we had hoped this matter was resolved, we are left with no choice but to respond in order to provide transparency and clarify the facts.

Positive experience: Overall Keyrenters has been good. I initially signed with Keyrenters because I really liked Zack and he was always very on top of it. I have recently been working with Jeanette who is very professional, compassionate, on top of things, etc. I have enjoyed working with her. Negative experience: Tacoma office: I ended up wasting a lot of time and energy with working with this business. When running a business it is important to have people and systems in place so if personal things happen within your life someone else can cover down. This is the second local PM company now whose used personal experiences as reason for why they didn't ask someone else to cover down. It is not fair when you're financially impacted by things like this as a home owner. We had agreed to plan to work together. All they had to do was a walk through. I am out of state and until we signed legal documents was not giving them my key code. I have a friend who set up a time and to meet at the property. No show. This agency never answered. Never said “an emergency came up. I Cant come please call the office.” Ghosted. Repeated attempts to reach out to the owner Peter. It wasn't until I said I was leaving a review that I was gaslit into being a bad guy for wanting to leave a review for my experience. He's going through a personal situation that is not my place to discuss. I get it. I take care of my terminally ill partner… yet if I Cant make a date even when my spouse has been fighting for their life in the hospital, at some point I step out of use the bathroom, to eat, to take a breath, and I look at my calender and text everyone with appointments and cancel. Maybe that's just me as a business owner myself, my business being my home I need to rent. We had plans of working together with the understanding my home would get rented soon, I paid thousands in landscaping, repairs, ready to move forward. I sent over personal information. Leases they can now benefit from that I spent thousands on to have a lawyer draw up. I called the office, no answered repeatedly, no returned calls. I was being ghosted. I was concerned. He had my personal address, my name, my email, my information. Now crickets not only from him but the office. The date was missed to do the walk through. No reason. Then he responds only to “hey if I don't hear back on whats going on in leaving a review” which is my right. I was told because I'm making “threats”-not a threat to share your honest opinion of your experience, that they no longer wanted to move forward. Why can't you reply to anything until I said that? Why can't you tell your office to follow up? A stressful and personal experience? I get it more than most. But now I'm financially impacted because of your lack of communication. You are still a business owner. I am assuming you have a calender. One text to someone at the office and the office could have let me know so you could focus on your stuff. I played this game with the last PM who got a tenant in, took firsts months 50% fee and bounced. Refused to serve noticed for lease violations. Would constantly blame personal things in life. That is respectfully not how a business plan should be operated. Have people and systems on plans so when crisis situations happen, clients are not left hanging and literally paying for your circumstances. Its not that there's a lack of empathy, its the lack of accountability. I was told that I'm the bad guy because I'm “hindering his ability to focus on whats going on personally.” No. You are a grown adult man and business owner. You can respond to a review? You can text your office “I can’t come in tomorrow, please follow up with my clients and update them and help them reschedule with someone else. As a caregiver, I still manage to communicate properly. And yes even when my spouse was fighting for his life. Its not fair that others should waste time, gas, money, anything over my lack of comms that takes two secs which could be sent when stuffing my face quickly in a hospital cafe. Maybe its just me. I would not recommend this place on the sole basis that the office is not consistent at answering phones and returning voicemail calls and that there is a lack of personal accountability for how employees and owners here need to communicate if they miss appointments. It wasn't one day, one time I reached out. It was weeks.

We appreciate all feedback, even when it’s difficult to read — and we take the time to reflect on it seriously.

However, we feel it’s important to clarify some key details about this situation, as this review does not accurately reflect the full context of our interactions.

From the very beginning, we were genuinely excited about the possibility of working with you. We spent over an hour and a half in our first consultation discussing your unique property — including the horse stables and arena — and were confident we could help you find the right tenant, even after other companies had declined.

However, throughout the discovery phase, we encountered a series of red flags that ultimately led us to conclude that a professional relationship would not be a good fit. These included:

Restrictive conditions: We were asked to sign legal liability waivers simply to view the property and told we could not conduct an on-site walk-through until a formal agreement was signed — which goes directly against our process and legal responsibilities to ensure a home is suitable for management.

Scheduling delays: We made multiple attempts to coordinate a visit with your contractor, but his availability was limited. While we had a tentative walk-through scheduled, I unfortunately missed that appointment due to an emergency involving my daughter’s hospitalization. I acknowledged the mistake and took full responsibility for not rescheduling — and sincerely apologized for that.

Escalation and threats: After missing the appointment, rather than working together to find a solution, we received messages stating you would leave a negative review — and have your spouse do the same — if we did not move forward with management. Threatening to damage our reputation in order to force a business agreement is not something we take lightly, and it made clear that a successful, professional relationship would be very difficult to sustain.

We acknowledge and regret the communication gap that occurred during that time. It was an emotionally challenging period, and my focus was understandably not where it needed to be. That said, we do agree with you that we should have communicated more clearly and rescheduled appropriately — and we’ve used this situation as a learning opportunity to further strengthen our internal processes.

At Keyrenter Tacoma, we carefully vet both properties and owners before entering into a management agreement. This is to protect everyone involved — our tenants, our team, and our clients. It’s also why many of our partnerships have lasted for years and why we continue to grow through referrals and reputation.

We sincerely wish you the best in finding the right fit for your property and appreciate your passion as a homeowner. But we stand by our decision to step back, as our values and expectations for partnership must be mutual for success.

Fantastic experience: After a not so decent experience with a private renter I decided to go with a property management. Kirsten at Keyrenter made our experience far better. The property was nice and as advertised and our only complaint was addressed within an hour of getting the keys. If I rent again in the future I would rent from Keyrenter again.

Negative experience: If I could give zero or - 5 star I would , When the tenant moved out and, there were several things need to be fixed which take a day or two , but the they kept the house vacant for three months to fix them , they fixed some and left, ignored some and they got the deposit of the tenant , instead of fixing the holder of the living room curtains ( which I paid money to hire somebody to install) , they got / trash them and Peter doesn’t know where they are , , they didn’t replace the light above the garage door , they left the electric plug uncovered which safety hazard as shown in photo , I asked Peter about that , he got angry , rude , and lied and came up with false stories to justify his negligence,

We take all feedback seriously and strive for transparency in our business practices. However, we must address the repeated and inappropriate conduct from an individual who previously owned a property we managed.

This same review has now been posted multiple times under different names, which we believe misrepresents the situation and violates platform guidelines. Additionally, this individual has publicly used our owners name, targeted his personal social media page, and directed racial and cultural slurs at one of our female leasing managers - behavior that is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Our professional relationship with this former client ended over 6 months ago by mutual agreement due to significant differences in expectations regarding the condition and management of the property. We have documented communication and inspection reports that support our position.

We support our staff and do not condone harassment or discriminatory behavior in any form. If this conduct continues, we will be forced to take further action to protect our team, our company, and our reputation.

We encourage honest and constructive feedback but ask that it be shared respectfully and truthfully.

Negative experience: I wish to give zero or negative star , They neglected to maintain my property and prepare it to be rented. they managed my house. the tenant moved out.the house stayed vacant for 3 months.peter said its because of the house is old and not updated, hard to rent it these days. kristen said the house is ready but the market is flooded with inventory, and rental prices have declined because of the inflation cost of goods. so she recommended the rent from $2100 to $1800. zach said the house is ready but because of the economy so lower the rent below $2000. i checked the house i found 10 damages in the house that could've been fixed in 2-3 days and the house wasnt ready for rent. i called them. zach, said the contractor didnt do the job. peter said he thought it was ready but that he was misinformed because of lack of communication between them. then they leased it to a tenant for $1900 a month. all what they told me were lies and scam.this made me lose more than $5000.

Negative experience: They managed our house the tenant moved out they left it vacant for over 3 months without maintaining the house. Then they got rid of an expensive set of curtains we had installed in the living room which we payed for, without giving us a heads up. They also tore down shelves we had installed the bathroom which we payed for without giving us a heads up aswell. They did not maintain many other things aswell but they put in their pockets all the deposits of the tenants. They’re scammers they’re liars they’re the worst.

Fantastic experience: I see a trend in the reviews . Haven't had to deal with PM company in many yrs. I don't want to say anything negative, I just hope the people I did speak with get everything they deserve. Nvm I tell u. I asked the pm if I should apply on a property, they said yes. I asked bc its been on the market a min and I didn't want to waste money for application fees if they had some one in mind. Needless to say we applied and I get a n email the next business day that the property was gone. So obviously they lied, they did have someone in mind they could have said that from the beginning. Fantastic experience: I recently switched over to key renter property management from my previous property management company (Evergreen Property management )that was horrible. I was with the previous property management company for about six years and I should have switched over six years ago. I have been with key renter property management for about three months now and they had my home rented out within a month. Probably would have been sooner however, the previous property management left my property in a mess which key renters had to come and clean up. Jeanette shields is my leasing manager, and she has been wonderful. She has called me every step of the way to make sure that I have been informed about things taking place on my property. She understands what a horrible experience I had in the past (with Evergreen) and she has made it her business not to let me go through that again! I have been very pleased thus far and anticipate that I will remain being happy.

Fantastic experience: We have had the privilege to work with an incredible agent through KeyRenter and owe her infinite gratitude for her hard work. Our little family moved from San Francisco to Bremerton, Washington for work at the beginning of March and found ourselves at the mercy of a greedy private residence owner. We found our new rental property on Zillow and reached out to KeyRenter directly to tour. We fell in love with the house immediately- calling Jeanette from the kitchen during the tour to discuss and file paperwork. The process was smooth, and 100% above board. Over all- the process took less than a week, we got keys and moved in a week later. The home is clean and well maintained. Walkthrough paperwork was completed and maintenance requests have been submitted. Communications between us and the manager is always cordial and attentive. The care and dedication that Jeanette showed for us was simply out of this world. If I could award Keyrenters more stars or Jeanette stars of her own- we absolutely would. I will be recommending this property management company to everyone I can and urge private property owners to work with KeyRenter for a reliable service and trustworthy care of their property.

Negative experience: I try not to give poor ratings to businesses because it can hurt their business. Still, I feel as though I should warn others about this company. My main complaint is the co-owner Peter. He and I had a disagreement with how he was handling repairs to the house we lived in. I left a negative review online after months of him not addressing it or even returning calls. After reconsidering and pulling the review (within minutes of posting it), I missed his call. He then called my wife, whom he had never spoken to, and screamed at her over the phone about how my negative review was "attacking his family." I tried for a month to get in contact with him before this happened. There was an active water leak, leaking from upstairs to downstairs accumulating in a bucket. They left it that way for 3 months. They made half a dozen appointments to have their worker come out, they wouldnt show or even call saying they were not coming. While my first review was about poor communication, now my biggest complaint is the hateful way he talked to my wife. She's about the nicest person in the world, and I couldn't believe anyone would talk to a person they didn't know that way. Especially over a bad online review. I asked Peter to meet me in person. Peter agreed, them refused to meet me later. He kept sending me texts messages degrading my character, calling me a bad veteran, unstable, and dangerous. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is the worst company I've ever worked with in any capacity whatsoever. This wasn't only a bad business experience, it was a very personal verbal attack against my wife. Peter can send degrading texts to me without upsetting me too much. I have thick skin. But he was so hateful to my wife, she was afraid for her safety. We ended up moving out of the house early in order to end our businesses with this company. They only started being nice and working with us, after we had to send a legal demand letter. After that it was, "I'm sorry. I'm so inexperienced. I shouldn't have talked that way to you." I gave myself a few months after moving out to let my anger subside. I wanted to be sure to think thru it and be sure I'm being fair to the business as a whole. I never attacked anyone's character, but Peter attacked our character; both by phone to us, and to a third party who spoke to Peter. This is not how business disagreements get handled. It's shameful in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: This company has been nothing short of phenomenal since we moved in. We have had more than a few issues but they have gotten all of them resolved incredibly quickly. They make you feel as if they truly care about you as a tenant. Jeanette, Ivory, Luis, and Peter are all absolutely great. The company has great people who are understanding, wonderful to work with, and just nice. I cannot thank Keyrenters enough for all they have done and how absolutely wonderful they have been. Negative experience: Update in light of the below response: I won't waste my time going through the specifics, but basically all of the info provided in the response is not true. It is info that is distorted from reality, and I have evidence to support this. In addition, I have numerous emails where I reached out to keyrenter over and over again without response regarding numerous issues. They would ignore my emails for literal weeks. Also, I had an email dated in June 2024 where I laid out very detailed info on issues I was having under their new ownership.. this was months before I finally couldn't take it anymore and terminated their services. In addition, in my opinion, the owner seems to bully people into removing negative reviews. Also, I have asked the company numerous times to return the keys to my property. It has been over a month since terminating their services, and I still do not have the keys. There is a recent comment below from another property owner, who sounds to have had almost the exact same issues I have had. I have been using keyrenter to manage my property since 2022. As a previous active duty military person, it is crucial that I have someone who is on top of things to manage my property, since I wasn’t in the same state as my property. I want my property taken care of (for both myself and the sake of the tenants). Originally, the property management service wasn’t terrible. However, since it changed ownership a year ago, it has been horrendous. There is a MASSIVE communication issue. In addition, I have to basically send numerous emails inquiring about things such as business license renewals, property upkeep, inspections, etc. They do not seem to be proactive at all, and they have not followed through on what they said they would do numerous times. About 6 months ago, I brought this all up to the owner. He apologized and said they had massive growth, and I understood at the time and was willing to give them another chance. However, virtually nothing improved. If you are a property owner, I do not recommend using them. In addition, anytime I have been able to actually contact them, they have come across as condescending. I’m confused as to how it is professional or appropriate to have that attitude/tone with someone who is paying you to provide them a service. I also do not trust them to keep my property in good condition and be proactive with upkeep/maintenance. This lack of proactivity can cause major (and costly) issues in the long term. I don’t want that for the property, and I’m sure the tenants don’t either. They deserve to rent a well-maintained property

Fantastic experience: I rented through Key Renter for a little over a year. First off, the application and move in process felt seamless. Seriously haven’t had it easier and paying rent was always super easy, like less than 5 minutes easy. The property we rented was very well maintained and we still miss our neighbors! It was a no brainer to go with them as the selection and pricing were easily among the best in the area. A few months after resigning our lease, my family found ourselves needing to move to be closer to some family that needed help. Needless to say, we were concerned about how this would affect our rental history and of course the huge costs involved with breaking lease. A week after letting them know our situation, I received a phone call from the owner, Peter, who called to inform me that they had found new tenants who could take over the rest of the lease, and worked with us on a move out date. The move out was again, seamless. So not only were we not saddled with the very high cost of breaking lease, we also received our security deposit back. A situation that seemed like it was going to be incredibly complicated and expensive was neither and my family was able to move with money in our pocket thanks to the understanding and diligence of the Key Renter team. It was so refreshing to work with a property management company that actually cares about your situation and not just your money. I seriously cannot give them a enough stars for being so understanding and helpful during a tough time for my family.

Negative experience: For context - My husband and I were landlords from 2023-2024 in Tacoma. From the jump, we were assured new management would continue the excellent service established by the previous owners. Unfortunately, this couldn't be further from the truth. The main issues we experienced were lack of communication (not telling us the house had been rented; we found out through a third party site), disorganization (overpaying us, then requesting the money back) and worst of all, no follow through (constantly dodging our realtor who tried many times to set up an official walkthrough of our home and delaying the sales process by 6 weeks). I support small businesses and owners, but I can't get behind incompetence. If you're a potential landlord in the Tacoma area, use anyone but Keyrenter.

Negative experience: Landlords beware. My wife and I rented out our three-bedroom home using Keyrenter Tacoma from summer 2023 to summer 2024, just after the franchise changed ownership. Unfortunately, our experience with Peter's team was not a good one. Communication - This was a serious problem from day one, and a problem that exacerbated every subsequent problem. First, we were never notified when we got our first tenant; I found out our house rented only after seeing an "unavailable" notice on a listing aggregator. From then on, communication was always shaky, whether it had to do with maintenance requests or facilitating the sale of the home. Follow-up - Another major problem, and probably the worst. After the tenant moved in, we continued paying bills on the property for months because the Keyrenter Tacoma team didn't shift utilities and services from our name to the tenant's. (We always got reimbursed in the end, but not without lots of back-and-forth.) On the tenant's side, the home needed a new dishwasher, which was never installed; by the time our realtors conducted their walkthrough, the dishwasher was moldy and beyond repair. Worst of all, once we decided to sell the home, Keyrenter stalled the walkthrough with our realtors for OVER SIX WEEKS, thereby delaying our go-to-market timeline (critical in the late summer selling season) and costing us an extra mortgage payment. The realtor and I contacted Peter over and over and were promised action but received no follow-through. (Remember when I wrote that bad communication exacerbated all subsequent problems?) This incident damaged my opinion of Keyrenter Tacoma irretrievably. Organization - It's clear that Peter's team doesn't understand its own systems--this is why we ended up paying the tenant's bills for months after the move-in date. Additionally, once we initially closed out accounts, Keyrenter overpaid us by almost $2500 and told us they would reengage in a week to settle our balance. "A week" turned into about three months when the books were finally settled for the year. Needless to say, being presented with a $2500 bill that should have been settled back in the summer wasn't a pleasant New Year's surprise. So all in all, it's amateur hour over at Keyrenter Tacoma, and you as the landlord are the straight man for their shenanigans. Don't be shocked when you're left holding the bag. Stay away.
