Negative experience: Myself and my roommate arrived a few minutes early to tour a rental ( after receiving a confirmation of the appointment via text message.)Along with a second interested, party who said they had also scheduled a tour, waited for a half hour with no communication from an agent and / or agency and had to leave to make it in time for our next tour that was scheduled across town and have yet to be contacted by a human being but we did receive a automated text asking us to rate our experience... Im extremely disappointed being that many new orleans natives are in dire need for affordable and comfortable housing and no one seems to respect perspective tenants enough to at least let us know what's going on.

Fantastic experience: Eva is awesome. She is always trying to respond and resolve any concerns.

Fantastic experience: Lashay was quick to direct me to the right places to go for the information I needed, and got me through some difficulties with bank statements in quick and patient manner. Very appreciative of our new home!

Fantastic experience: I’d like to recognize Mr. Eric for the exceptional maintenance service he’s providing at a nearby home. His dedication is evident; he works tirelessly to bring the property to top condition. He’s meticulous in his cleanup and consistently respectful of the surrounding neighbors.

Negative experience: I have no idea who owns my property right now. Even Soniat doesn’t know. My lease is with Soniat but my primary contact quit without notifying us, leaving us with no contact in case of emergencies. Then the front office said they don’t manage our property and couldn’t provide us with a contact for the owner or the new management. Then a different person at Soniat finally calls me back to tell me, actually, they do, they just haven’t been able to get in touch with the owner for weeks. They refuse to complete any maintenance until they can get in touch with the owner, which they can’t. The grass isn’t being cut, work orders haven’t been serviced in months. Now we have our old contact hitting us up for rent saying we need to pay rent to a different company. Well I already paid my rent, as stated in my lease. So are you gonna give it back?

Negative experience: I contacted these people because I am in an urgent need for an affordable rental. Their posting on realtor.com stated that cats were accepted. I have two very well behaved sweet kitties who I rescued that are brother and sister. They wouldn’t even show me the place because I have two cats instead of one, when the listing said “cats”, plural. They would rather let a rental continue to sit there on the market instead of it being rented by a good solid tenant. There is a limited supply of affordable rentals right now so they’re just being ignorant.

Negative experience: At Soniat Realty some of the workers are unprofessional like Donyale Allums I’ve been staying here for eight months now This is a drug area, the deposit was too high for an area like this It’s off street parking, but I called Donyale to let her know that my neighbor and her Company were parking in front my house I went to them myself, once but when I tried to tell Donyale about this she said I have to keep telling my neighbor about it why should I have to keep telling her about it when I live here now it’s common courtesy when my company come, I tell them don’t park in front of my neighbor, door Donyale Allums is unprofessional, I thought by her being higher authority and she works in the office for Soniat Realty It’ll be a better understanding but I guess not they want their tenants to handle their own, but I feel like I shouldn’t keep telling nobody nothing about my parking spot that one time should’ve been enough I just can’t wait to move and I won’t deal with Soniat Realty again or recommend them to anyone 2026

Negative experience: I rented a property on St. Philip Street listed under this property management company that was infested with termites. I called several times about the issue, and they allowed the landlord to just send his maintenance guy, which simply sprayed over the counter bug spray in the walls. The termites were swarming in the house and eating through the walls, and just before I moved out they sent me a paper saying they were raising the rent! They were aware of the issue when I moved in as the neighbors had been dealing with this for at least a year prior. They just patched it up, kept most of my deposit, and re rented it. It was so bad that my personal property was damaged inside the apartment. Beware if you rent from them.

She "inherited" a 44-unit townhome property with many challenges and issues, and she has successfully resolved so many with professionalism while also exhibiting grace and understanding. She's detail-oriented, knowledgeable of all areas of property management, and always responds to our community's needs in a timely manner. I truly cannot say enough great things about her and consider our community fortunate to have her as our manager.

Fantastic experience: I am pleased with Soniat Realty's management of my 12-unit condominium association in River Ridge/Harahan. Their accounting services are excellent and they manage our services (pool, garbage, landscaping, etc) very well. My only complaint is the higher fee they charge for credit card payments of monthly association dues ($15). My credit card charges only 3%.

Negative experience: I been calling and leaving text for houses I have been interested in, but I never get a call or text back say anything, it’s very hard to speak with a person about the house they have available. And sometimes they ignore you, when you asking a simple question.

Fantastic experience: Nubia Thomas has been such an assest to us her at Cypress Oaks Condos. I have enjoyed working with her every step of the way. She is very knowledgeable about matters we have dealt with, and is always responsive and trustworthy. My heart goes out to anyone that has suffered a financial loss or mental anguish, as times and the economy are extremely stressful right now. I am in week 2 and so far, so good. Especially with repairs. My issue was fixed the very same day.

Negative experience: They took me 100$ (50$ per person) to review one room apartment. The fact they already given that room to someone else, and didn't even bother to notify me was outrageous. They should have returned me 100$ as they failed to rent me that room.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. I’ve been looking to relocate to the area for months now and this company has blocked me from even being able to view any of their properties. I drove 8 hours in October to view a house from them only to find out they hadn’t actually “confirmed” the tour. I’ve also called multiple times and I’ve only had somebody answer once. I don’t know who’s in charge there but blocking me from being able to even tour a house is very childish and unprofessional.

Negative experience: One of the managers I deal with gets mad when I called to get the toilets fix ..AC …etc. now they trying to evict me in anyway possible because a stove glass broke that’s how the discrimination started. They lied and bought me to court said I didn’t pay rent but when judge found out it’s about a stove they threw it out! Every inspection fail I ever had it’s been four years in this house! November 29th they want me to be out and change my contract to month to month when my lease is a year with Hano . They call the utility to get it cut off if balance is high or overdew. My child is expose to lead because they fail to complete a paint job! The property manager keeps coming to my house to stress the fact the owner wants me gone because she want to sell her house! Telling me to keep it clean and I’m moving everything out because of their swift decision of selling the house now me and my children have to be homeless until the process of Hano kick in with new house . Then she asking me why the grass not cut? lady do your job it’s your maintenance team you pay not me! I fail so many times getting out my shower because of the tile doesn’t go with water at all. Crazy part I have a rug down but one step off the rug you going down. Long story short I pray yall don’t get my property manager or owner !

Negative experience: Second experience with questions regarding a rental..first issue rental listings doesn't include details of lease terms second, management don't assist with answering questions. Third application fee is a ripp off considering rent/ deposit the tenant has to pay ( not fair or good business) I've made several attempts to get information regarding a property like is water inc or could I do the application in person cause online is too complicated and I'm not eager sharing my personal information..but I really wanted to rent the property at 2105 Mirabeau but I see it's a hard task to get information you need..sick of New Orleans business class of people it's hard finding folk who take pride in helping others and doing good business.. exhausted

Negative experience: After requesting to view a home in Mid-City, we were contacted by an assistant. A human person, and given an appointment time. We show up and wait. For 30 minutes until a car slowly drives by. My then husband works off shore and I guess we were not the right kind of people. Later when I called they claimed we never had an appointment and the property had been rented.

Positive experience: *update* The management called me back and got me in touch with the agent. Although it was unprofessional to keep a potential tenant waiting, I appreciate their effort. Hence 3 stars! — I waited for almost 15 mins and no one showed up. I called the office and it kept going to an automated system that was not helpful. If they are this late for showing, imagine how their response to maintainance might be. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: Please do not rent from this realty please do not rent from these ppl is a bad company they take people deposit money. They have a lady name is she make sure you don’t get your money from the deposit and saying that u damage the house she use old pic and saying it come from your unit I have pic of the house before I move out so sad how this lady do ppl ‍♂️
