Positive experience: Ok if I'm giving a review for my realtor she was the bomb but if I'm giving a review for the rocket home experience it sucked. They told us that my husband was pre-approved so we put our house on the market and it was under contract within one day and so rocket mortgage kept telling us that they needed different things to finish the approval process. We kept giving them the info that they was requesting only to tell is that they couldn't approve him after telling him that he was pre-approved. So we had to break the contract. But we git financing else where

Fantastic experience: I was renting my friend's finished attic for the past few years, my friend, myself, and my brother, all sharing 1 bathroom, and it was comfortable and very affordable, but I was ready to move in with my fiance after he proposed, and we needed more space since he has 3 kids (only 1 full time). At first we looked at renting and we realized it would cost the same or less to buy a house. I had never purchased a own home before. I looked at the suggestions on creditkarma and nerdwallet which is how I found rocket mortgage. Rocket mortgage made the home buying process simple for me, i would go so far as to day they made it easy, which i wasn't expecting. I thought buying a home would be hard. I thought it would cost much more than it did. They had an entire team dedicated to making sure I got a home. I had the good fortune of working with Ray Alexander and Derrin Phoenix, two top notch people who made themselves available whenever I needed them and were patient with me and all my questions. Ray is personable and easy going, he's calm with s friendly, socialable personality. He laughs easily and was always happy to talk to me and always polite. Derrin is bubbly and vivacious, she's smart, organized and works hard. They've got their stuff together for sure. They have good experience and know what needs to happen next. They led me through every step of the process, from my application, approval letter, my initial fha (?) loan to a conventional loan, through looking at houses, making offers, hiring an inspector, getting an appraisal, earnest money, deposit, wiring funds, choosing homeowners insurance, taking an online class for first time homebuyers, and all of the things one needs to close on a home. I'd say from the moment I applied to the day I closed and moved into my new home was probably less than 30 days. I wasn't expecting to own a home so quickly but I am happy how it happened. Initially I didn't even think I would qualify for a mortgage with all of my student loans but I did, by myself, and at a great interest rate. I looked at homes at the low end of my price range all the way through well over my price range. The home we ended up buying was outside our price range and we weren't scheduled to see it that day but Derrin called the owners and we were able to view it a few minutes later. She negotiated it down so it came in under our maximum loan amount. Initially we were looking for a rural, country home with some land but we ended up with this older Victorian style home in a small town. We are in walking distance of a library, an arcade, shopping, restaurants, and a ton of small local businesses, but our home is on a quiet street with huge, beautiful, historic houses, and from what I've seen so far most of them haven't been turned into rentals. The town is charming and feels like a community. I like being able to order delivery, my last home nothing delivered and you had to drive 20 minutes to go out to eat or buy anything. We are all very happy in our new home and so grateful for everyone who helped us through the journey, we appreciate everyone at rocket mortgage. All in all the entire experience was enjoyable and I recommend rocket mortgage to anyone looking to buy a home.

Negative experience: The only reason I'm giving a one star, is because Dominic Pena showed great customer service. We ultimately went with another lender. Rocket only received, a percentage from the agent they acquired for us. A Rocket loan officer spoke to my wife with disrespect and bad customer service. Our new lender, treated us so great that we actually gave them a gift! I was proud that I chose them. As a Combat Veteran, I was treated with great respect by our new lender. Rocket really needs to train and coach on customer service. 825k is a lot of money.

Fantastic experience: Rocket was easy to work with and they informed me of all updates and let me know what i needed to do on my part. Start to finish was about 2.5 months and that’s pretty fast when living in NY. Thank you Perry Hill & Ebony Gibbs and the rocket morgage team!

Fantastic experience: Rocket Homes is phenomenal to work with. I sold my home in 24 hrs. Then I purchased a brand new build home and they walked me through every step. I was going to use Rocket Mortgage also. But the builder incentives were to good to pass up. Enem Rocket Mortgage agreed that it was my best option. I would recommend Suzie Rudd and Rocket Homes to anyone. I will use them again if needed plus will refi with them when the time is right. Trust me you can't go wrong.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars! Working with Rocket was a complete nightmare from start to the moment I went with another mortgage company for my loan. Started by being instructed to pay off some dept 10k, got my pre approval after turning in numerous Financials. Found a home, had an offer accepted, inspection and appraisal completed. I work a 9-5 as well as own a business, they refused to do their do diligence to verify income for the final underwriting review when I submitted most recent 30 day docs (mind you I submitted originals but was asked for most recent due to loan process length). After all that I was told income couldn't be verified. After numerous escalations I had another mortgage company recommended to me who was able to app and fund my loan in 2 weeks. I'm now the proud owner of my new home with ZERO thanks to rocket Mortgage. Their bankers and underwrites need to be retrained for variety of circumstances as this is 2024 and not everyone has a clear cut w2 from a 9-5. If that wasn't enough of a headache, rocket Mortgage refused to release my file to new mortgage co. until I paid out of pocket the appraisal fee of 650.00, an appraisal they ordered even though they came back after almost being to the finish line to say what they couldn't do. I want rocket to give those funds back to me solely based on the unprofessional, unorganized, and untrained process I had to endure... an email for a review was sent to me from them as though they funded my mortgage. THEY DID NOT! I would not recommend them and I was warned against their services from clients and agents alike... If you don't have to, please choose another mortgage company and don't by into a popular name.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Bill and Denise Panney to anyone looking to sell or purchase a home on the east coast of Florida. I was so impressed by their tireless efforts to sell my condo and help me purchase my house. They were always available, always willing to help in any way necessary to get the best deal. Because I live in New York, Denise even painted some areas in my condo so it would look better in the photos and in person. Their advertising and marketing was top notch. My condo sold for full price. When I bought my house they looked at several I was interested in before I found the right one. They went several times to inspect and get answers to my questions. They advised and guided at every turn. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are hard working, professional, and diligent to the task. I loved working with them and now consider them friends. As I’ve told them many times and now say it again, they are the best!

Fantastic experience: Working with Rocket Homes has been a marvelous experience! The team of Shelley and Jeremy Gebhardt is definitely outstanding. Both of them went out of their way to be helpful, informative, and gracious. While many realtors would be satisfied with the basics, they went way beyond that. They helped solve some minor issues with appliances; they gave us a welcome package; they conferred with the seller on our behalf when I had questions. Jeremy Gebhardt even mowed the lawn! You couldn't work with better people!

Negative experience: Never bought a home with rocket mortgage, I went with another lender because rocket was horrible. It's all about them, not the buyer. On the other hand my realtor Matt was super super awesome I would recommend him to anybody.

Katie Wheeler from Match Realty via Rocket Homes is so knowledgeable and thoughtful. She was so patient and supportive for months while we looked in very very small neighborhoods with limited inventory. She never gave up and advocated for us to make sure we got items fixed prior to closing. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: When we were finally ready to start this part of our lives, Rocket made the whole process seem much less daunting and overwhelming. From start to finish there was open and clear communication of what was going on in the process and why. If changes needed to be made, it was simple and painless. All of the agents we worked with paid special attention to our financial needs and worked hard to keep us in a range that is affordable for our budget needs to help get us into our home. Our mortgage broker Liz Nowak, is top notch. Not once did we feel that we were being taken advantage of nor were we surprised by a figure change overnight from a discussion held a day before, if there was any chance of a number change, we were told upfront and that it COULD happen. Our realtor, Krista Shipley, Rocket linked us with her, also top notch. Listened to what we wanted, were looking for and we started the search promptly. Not once did it feel like she was pushing us into a home just so she could make the sale, we must have toured 10 homes, on the patience she had with us. When we finally found our home, she was crucial in sealing the deal with the listing agent and seller. Would love to work with her again if we are ever in the market in the future.

Fantastic experience: Great people to work with for a mortgage and also a realtor! All processes throughout my loan were extremely easy and quick. Great and fast responses from all team members, whenever I needed something or to just ask a question. They are extremely thorough and provided me all available options that I could go with. Make Rocket Homes/Mortgage your first call for all your needs in finding and financing your home!

Negative experience: I previously had a FHA refinance with Rocket so i thought now that I am going to buy a home myself to personally live in i would go through Rocket again but it didnt work out due to gap in employment my wife had but it was due to pregnancy which Rocket i guess had no way around and ended up turning me away. I had to find a local bank who also came across the same thing but they took a letter of explanation in order to get past that. The agent i worked with that Rocket Homes assigned me was great and although i switched banks i kept working with same real estate agent as she was very helpful and ii didn't feel pressured into buying a home i might not have wanted. The only reason i rated 2 stars mainly because Rocket didn't do what a local bank did for me and that's take a letter of explanation which to be honest made sense to me as the only reason my wife was not working was due to her pregnancy was not a smooth one and needed a lot of rest as well as relocating from a different state.

Negative experience: A terrible and abusive experience. Disclosures not provided per regulations Appraisal not handled in a way regarded as a generally accepted practice Threats, harsh language, a refusal to cooperate with the team (realtor, borrower, title, and closing agent) and manipulation of process against written agreements. I in the strongest possible terms do not recommend Rocket Mortgage.

Fantastic experience: I worked with the Rocket Mortgage team on the purchase of our first home. The level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism demonstrated by Erick Childs and his team far surpassed my expectations. As a first-time home buyer, we really appreciated Erick Childs honesty and transparency throughout the mortgage process. His team stays on top of every detail and is there for you every step of the way to answer any questions and address any concerns. They were on top of all emails and quick to respond if we ever had any questions, even outside of normal business hours. I highly recommend Erick Childs and his team.

Fantastic experience: We purchased our new home with Rocket Homes. We would definitely recommend Rocket Homes and the Pinnacle Post team! Our questions were always answered. The Pinnacle Post team were amazing and dedicated to making sure those keys were in our hands! Scott Ciborowski from Rocket Homes was awesome as well! He answered our questions and gave us information up front about our loan and things that we needed to make sure we closed on time. Overall a pleasant experience from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy I decided to go with Rocket Mortgage as my lender for my first home. From the mortgage banker to the underwriters, my team was fantastic. The level of communication and the focus on educating first time homebuyers made a huge difference. The app was super easy to use and really helped me track my progress towards my Closing Date. I was able to close in 3 weeks! Rocket made the process of buying a home a truly streamlined. I will definitely be using Rocket Mortgage again when I’m ready to purchase a second property.

Positive experience: Unfortunately I had a genuinely disappointing experience with rocket homes. When buying my home I talked with 4 lenders including rocket homes. Of them rocket was by far the least transparent and least helpful and informative in the process. all other lenders were able to provide loan estimate worksheets that clearly laid out all terms and fees and showed the difference between all of my options in an easy to read and understand way, Rocket never gave this to me despite me repeatedly asking for it, I kept being told I would get it later but never did until I finally gave them a deadline where I was going to select my loan provider. At that point I let all 4 loan providers know what I had been offered and asked for their best terms to be provided in writing. Rocket still pushed back and would only really talk to me on the phone, at one point my loan officer actually used the phrase "what can I do to get you to sign with us today?" among other pushy demands that felt more at place in a used car lot. Ultimately they offered me a loan with about $2000-$4000 more fees than all the other offers and a base interest rate that was 0.25% higher (I asked for all these quotes at the same time so this was not the result of market fluctuation) the ultimate result is savings of over $100,000 over the life of the loan. Maybe they are a great servicer after the fact but upfront cost and the entire experience just didn't feel professional, transparent, or fair. TLDR: high pressure sales tactics and worse rates and fees than other loan providers. might be good after the fact but I wont know because that put me off so much I went elsewhere and saved a lot of money.

Negative experience: Kelly morris is a seller's agent. He has cost us 2K in repair work so far and said all was okay and good working condition. We have had to replace the water heater and now the furnace is out. Kelly Morris also advised us that the insurance was a waste of money and that we didn't need it. I only give one star because he showed us a few houses but never advised us on anything else except not to buy the insurance. THIS AGENT IS A SELLER'S AGENT AND IS NOT ON THE SIDE OF THE BUYER

Fantastic experience: Big Fan, rocket did nothing but the best I could ask for & was even able to save a little over half a grand on closing costs using the rocket mortgage points you can earn from their site. Those same points can be leveraged as well to help pay off the mortgage itself after closing as well.

Fantastic experience: The specialist at Rocket Mortgage were extremely professional in their handling our application for a mortgage. We were kept informed of every step in the process. Made changes per our request without issue. The RE Agent they selected for us was the best. Always checking with us and answering all our questions and concerns immediately. We would've used Rocket for my new home purchase but the builder only accepts loans through a preferred lender.

Negative experience: Literally the only good thing from my Rocket experience was Lisa Scully. She was amazing and was present with me through every step of my journey. I had to move on to another mortgage company because Rocket was not up front and honest with me about the process. I only found this out at the end. I was told things throughout the process and once I was ready to purchase I found out all things they told me were untrue. For this reason I moved to another loan company where I had an excellent experience.

Negative experience: I am in the process of hiring an attorney to make this company do what they say they would. DO NOT USE THEM! Thier's is the highest closing costs I have ever seen. They lie like crazy. They said I would get 2% of my loan amount back. Never happened. They said I would not have to pay escrow in with my monthly payment - LIE.

Positive experience: Rocket Homes was an easy way to earn extra money for our closing. We ended up with 2 different agents because the first one did not go as far as we were looking but Twana was awesome. She went all over west and South Georgia with us. She has a Team that went out of their way to help us see our home on Thanksgiving weekend.

Fantastic experience: Rocket mortgage was incredible to work with along with Tera Ellison.Tera was assigned to us through Rocket Mortgage and I could never be more pleased. She went above and beyond selling my home and helping me purchase a new home. She was always there when I needed her answering all of my questions and guiding me through the process of both. She’s an exceptional realtor.

Negative experience: Referred me to a great agent as part of their buying program (was a current mortgagee so I was trying to take advantage of this program). Ended up this was the only good thing about it (referral). I went VA home loan and our family found a fantastic home. We ended up losing it due to Rocket saying they couldn't approve/underwrite the loan. After getting referred to another lender, they were able to get me approved for another home at a better terms than Rocket had originally and we are now closed and moved in. After they denied me they kept calling asking me if I wanted to explore more options with them and I had to tell three different representatives to stop calling and I even asked the original mortgage banker to assist in getting Rocket to stop contacting me. In the end, everything works out, but this process was tiring and it seemed like Rocket doesn't communicate very well internally, or they use / update disparate systems for customer updates, etc. Disappointing end to an almost 14 year business relationship.

Fantastic experience: I got an awesome realtor from Rocket Mortgage. Name Ellen Cassidy. She is a very helpful mended and gentle woman. I bought a nice home with her nice help.

Fantastic experience: Glad I went with them. Alexander Graham was a saint in making it all come together with very little resources on my end. My agent (Allison Wilder if you're near Atlanta) was as well. Rocket mortgage and my agent made the impossible happen. I highly recommend using them if you're looking to buy a house, especially if you're not sure you even qualify.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Rocket and broke ties before closing on the house. However was connected to the best realtor Tonya Woodham through them. She is the only positive thing I gain working with your company.

Positive experience: The first agent assigned just didn’t seem to understand our needs and urgency, but then Holly was assigned. With less than 24 hours advance, she helped us find a home in 4 days for a cross country move and has been amazing at handling all the details me providing advice and referrals for navigating this new area.

Negative experience: I would not recommend Rocket Mortgage or any affiliated companies after my disaster experience with them. From start to finish, the loan process was full of problems and mistakes. To top it off, the funds for my loan were wired completely across the country on the day of my closing. I eventually got to a supervisor that fixed the problem THREE HOURS after my closing appointment. This is after I begged and pleaded for weeks to make sure everything was set for closing ahead of time because the closing had been set for a Friday afternoon (not by my choice). I will never recommend Rocket to anyone, and I will never use them in the future.

Fantastic experience: I had the best loan experience with Rocket Mortgage. From start to finish. My representatives were always available and provide prompt responses. They were the only party in this process that made my purchasing experience great. I had everyone say go with other banks but Rocket Mortgage showed up and delivered as promised. Special thanks to John Bosio and Shelyln. I would recommend them in every heartbeat.

Negative experience: Worked with them to purchase a house and got to the closing and had them back out because of my debt to income being too high when my only debt is child support and is 1/6 of my monthly income and didn’t actually understand the way a Va homeloan works . I finally purchased my house with veterans United and closed my Va homeloan in 21 day

Fantastic experience: Denise Renslow has been n still the best realtor to date. She is very friendly and professional. She is always available and even after closing she is there to guide and help. She has become like family. AWESOME REALTOR 5 + stars

Fantastic experience: Michele Johnston was an excellent real estate agent. She did her research, showed up wherever and whenever we needed her. She was very responsive to emails and phone calls. She also wasn't afraid to address some issues that made home buying in NC a challenge versus buying in Ohio. We would highly recommend Michele!

Negative experience: I had to use a different lender because Rocket mortgage told me that I would have to relocate my job to get the house I wanted. I had 2 weeks left to close on my house and Rocket Mortgage pretty much screwed me. Do not go through them!!!!!

Negative experience: If you are from the Portland Oregon area, please do not use Mark Bixel from Berkshire Hathaway, if he is referred to you by Rocket Homes. He was a terrible listing agent. He is just looking for a quick sell and not interested in advocating or representing the seller. He failed to inform us on certain real estate information. He just wanted to list and make his commission. Lacks professionalism. He only communicates via text and email. He will low ball your property value for a quick sale Fortunately, we stuck to our gut and listed for what we wanted. Luckily, we were able to to sell the property at value (our value) not what he recommended. But left us owing money to the buyer because his lack of information he should have provided to us. He lacked transparency and could not meet our service needs. A lot of it was just shady. We didn't get the proper closure of the sale of a home we loved so much, it was such a poor experience.

Fantastic experience: Hello rocket mortgage. Leah, is the upmost real estate agent I have ever worked with. The greatest thing about Leah, is that she still keeps in contact with my wife, as I'm living here in Colorado. You couldn't ask for a better person to represent your company. I give her the five stars and if there was a six star, I would give her that too. We have made good friends with Leah. Leah, is very honest and open when she's doing her job. Fantastic experience: As first-time buyers, my wife and I were initially intimidated by the process. Our “To Do” lists read like a Harry Potter novel. This was before we were partnered up with Elizabeth O’Dell! We got to an item on our list that said, “GET COOL PERSON TO HELP BUY OUR HOME AND MAKE US NOT REGRET THE DECISION”. We Met Elizabeth O’Dell and it was like we unleashed magic. Here’s how the magic went down – In addition to customer reviews and history, Elizabeth was very friendly. Second, on meeting her the first time, she didn’t talk down to me after telling her, “We don’t have a clue about this whole process…”, in fact, she came prepared with a calming and professional demeanor and spoke to us like we were buddies heading out for a picnic. Elizabeth will come across like your long-time neighbor, and that’s an added bonus. Next, Elizabeth is very transparent! If she doesn’t know an answer,, they tell you, “I don’t know, but I’ll have an answer for you shortly.” She is as prepared as a professional in the field can be for most questions and concerns. I can confidently say, if Dentists were half as courteous, as professional, as honest and responsive as Elizabeth O Dell,– I’d make dental appointments every week. She turned our Harry Potter Novel into Cliff Notes that became less intimidating with every piece of advice she offered. Elizabeth O Dell keeps things realistic and positive! In fact, she does not just give good advice, she gives great advice. My wife hates surprises, and she hates being blindsided by negative situations. Elizabeth O Dell was like a “Wife Whisperer”. She kept my wife calm throughout the entire process and assisted us in an encouraging and cheerful manner. I thought to myself, “I must learn this Jedi Mind Trick”, but it wasn’t trickery. It was Elizabeth O Dell sincerity and her quick response to our concerns that kept my wife calm. Basically, she took care of things right away. To summarize – Elizabeth O Dell made us feel like friends and they made the whole process feel easy. I would 10 out of 10 recommend anyone in the market to reach out to Elizabeth! She is nothing less than amazing and she is the true definition of a Rockstar!

Negative experience: When we first spoke to mortgage agent he told us our interest would be 6.99. We told him we would put 20% down. We have excellent credit. When we received closing documents we noticed Rocket mortgage had charged us almost $7000.00 for 2.5 points. When we called nobody could explain why we were charged. Our interest rate was still 6.99, so it wasn't to buy down interest. Also they took money from from our loan amount to pay for some of the closing costs. When called to ask why they did that without telling us, we were told by 3 different people at Rocket Mortgage that they don't do that. Yet, at the closing that's exactly what they did. So we are paying interest on the money they took out for closing costs along with the interest on the home loan. If this sounds confusing, it is. We couldn't get an answer for anything we questioned them about. I would never recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone.

During the process he was always available, giving welcome advice and presenting our proposal. He was there at the closing and has helped us after closing suggesting local contractors and personally completing many projects with local tradesmen prior to our moving in. Negative experience: I used rocket homes to sell my home and buy a new one I order to take advantage of the “power pack” promotion that is offered to rocket mortgage clients. The agent they sent me was great, and everything went smoothly with the sale and purchase of my homes. I received a rebate check for the sale of my home as a part of the aforementioned power pack promotion. I am now having an issue getting the rebate check for the purchase of my new home. I was told that the check would be delivered between 30-45 days, but I still have not received it. My real issue is that no one from rocket homes will call me back or reply to my emails. Is it common practice to bait and switch with this promotion? I could have used other real estate companies that would have delivered on their promotions and incentives, and I could have used a mortgage company that required a lot less hassle. It’s like they got my business and the fees they collect on the sale/purchase so now they are ignoring me. I feel deceived and disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Malinda Root was incredible. Provided suggestions to make home appearance even better. She was always available for any questions. It felt like you had known Malinda for a long time and she had your best interests in mind. House went on the market at noon and there was a viewing scheduled with 5 hours!!
