Negative experience: Recently dealt with the group as the listing agent on a property we purchased. We left the closing knowing we would be taking steps to notify the appropriate organizations. 1. It was very difficult, and time consuming, to receive answers. 2. Access to property was allowed to be control by the tenant (not owner) which interfered with our Due Diligence period. We were then held responsible for the delays. 3. Rents received by tenant were never prorated and sent. Tenant stayed on for nearly 2 additional weeks without rental payment. 4. Realtor did not relay information with accuracy, placed “agreed rental increase rates” in writing which solidified our financing, only to discover the tenants were never spoken to and no agreement was made.

Fantastic experience: What a great team we got to work with! Pro-active communication, quick response time, research on new topics. Ours was not a straightforward real estate transaction. Maybe none of them actually are! However, a good realty team shines even in the face of unusual, unconventional cases. They use their best judgement, do that extra bit, go that extra mile, all while calming the nerves of a newbie client. Negative experience: I want to share an experience my parents had in moving to the RDU area. Their realtors in Wyoming connected them with The Perry Group-Matt Perry at Keller Williams Elite Realty. Sadly, their experience was less than desirable. When they came in on a trip from WY to look at houses, Mallory, their assigned realtor and the company’s Director of Sales, upon their first meeting, let them stand outside in the cold, while talking in her car on the phone for 20 min. Their second appt, she was 40 min late without a phone call or text. During the showing of the home they purchased she did not walk them thru the house but sat on the couch on her phone. The day they were flying out, they wanted to take measurements of the house, instead of meeting them she texted the home code and let them take care of it themselves. The icing on the cake was she did not show up for the home walk thru during purchasing or show up to their settlement all without communication or acknowledgment. They have now been in the home for 30 days and still no welcome to NC, gratitude, or simple phone call to thank them for purchasing thru their group. My Mom spoke with the owner, Matt Perry, to relate their disappointment and poor customer service and his only response was he was sorry but they purchased a great home. No thank you or any type of follow up. Absolutely pathetic. Please caution anyone you know in the area to not use this group! It is very disappointing to have retired parents moving across the country, buying a home and receiving such unprofessional and poor customer service. Had to share to hopefully save others from this type of experience.

She made excuses for why she couldn't be present when she said she would be present and did not find out requested information We have heard nothing from Mallory since we purchased our home and moved to NC. She has yet to say thank you for our home purchase. What a disappointing experience when moving into a new place. Would not recommend Mallory or this realty group.

Fantastic experience: We purchased a new house through the Perry Group, then turned around and sold another. Our realtor, Melyssa Kemp, represented us professionally, answered all of our questions, suggested contractors, and generally made the purchase of our new home go very smoothly. When we were ready to sell our old house, she went above and beyond our expectations by holding multiple open houses and going door to door inviting our neighbors and asking them to tell their friends. Our house sold quickly for what we felt was a fair price. Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? Matt Perry's team is amazing, Shawn Carter! We worked with Shawn on the purchase of a home about 7 years ago and then called on him again to list that house and help us relocate to the Southern Pines area. While Shawn was not as familiar with the Southern Pines area he made sure we had every resource to search for homes in that area and then he was available when we wanted to look at homes (even in the pouring rain). Shawn also took our daughter and her husband on as clients with the purchase of their first home and he takes his role as a buyer's agent very seriously. He took time to show our son-in-law things throughout the process so he could learn and that's not something every agent does. Shawn goes above and beyond and I just cannot sing his praises enough. When you list your home with this group, almost immediately you are set up with a group text and they keep you informed of everything along the way. Fantastic experience: I have to say when I finally wanted to start the process of buying a home I was dreading it just due to what I’ve heard and all of the headaches involved. When I got introduced to Mallory at The Perry Group I knew that would not be the case. Her team (Mallory & Kathleen, the two I worked directly with) blew it out of the park. And that’s probably an understatement. I can’t say enough good things about them so I’ll say this. Efficient, seamless and always working to get it perfect for you is what they do.
