Fantastic experience: We had a great time work with Sam Misleh. He did an excellent job of communicating effectively and timely as much as possible to help us find a townhome to rent in such a small window of time. If there were any questions we had, he’d respond within a few minutes or even let us know when he’d respond with an answer. Fantastic experience: I worked with Jonathan Asfour, but please understand that you are never just working with one person from Sheperd Homes Group. They have a brain trust and they work with one another so that you get not just the best of your own agent (Jonathan is so knowledgeable that I just called him Professor) but also they put their own egos to the back and consult with one another so that you get the best of their brain trust. You come first. Their egos are not even a part of the equation. Too, do not take lightly their concierge service. Save yourself several blood pressure points and be grateful that they will coordinate professionals working in your home, will ensure the work is stellar, and talk to you about bang for the buck. No matter where you are in the process, they will work respectfully and professionally with you through the entire process.

Fantastic experience: Dana is an efficient, knowledgeable broker who consistently sought to meet my best interests with integrity . His quick, professional response, compassion & practicality made my home search easy & smooth. Since I had the broad goal of moving about 1&1/2 hours from the Northern Virginia state line or closer, he generously & genuinely offered to go throughout that area with a structured pace of the duration of 3 months. After our first real estate viewing which included a relaxed & productive discussion, he sent me houses in my price range for our next outing in accordance with my price range & request for a more rural setting. Sensing my inclination to be in a quaint, town setting, he arranged at the last minute to tour properties in Fredericksburg. His preparedness, knowledge and neutrality, such as in his positive remarks on the details of the properties, gave me the chance to understand what was important to me rather than be all over the map. That afternoon, I chose 1 of 5 houses we viewed & began the buying process. I appreciate Dana’s sincere, respectful objective to make this real estate experience as successful & enjoyable as possible from start to finish, letting me know he is still available for me.

Negative experience: I had an extremely frustrating and disrespectful experience dealing with Linda Min during my tenancy at a property she managed for landlord Rachel Duran. Throughout the rental period, Rachel blatantly violated Virginia tenant law, including withholding our security deposit well beyond the legal 45-day limit and even threatening to shut off our gas service unless we agreed to pay for it, leaving us with no choice but to sign a new lease with the gas included. Linda Min, as the property manager, was completely complicit in these actions. Despite being informed of the issues, Linda remained silent and unhelpful. She failed to properly handle the move-in inspection documents I submitted, detailing existing damages in the unit. As a result of her negligence, we were wrongfully charged for pre-existing damages when we moved out, leading to more than half of our security deposit being taken. Linda Min’s failure to act professionally, communicate effectively, or advocate for tenant rights throughout the ordeal was both disheartening and unacceptable. Her behavior reflected a serious lack of responsibility and ethics. I would strongly advise anyone considering Shepherd Home Group to reconsider, as Linda’s actions are a direct reflection of the company’s treatment of tenants. Tenants’ well-being and fair treatment are clearly not a priority under her management. *Shepherd will claim the issue was because of a water pipe bursting however, we offered to pay and im fact notified Linda immediately upon it happening, Linda and the landowner failed to provide any receipts of the damage to allow us to submit a claim under our insurance until after 45 days and even then their receipts reflected repairs that we put into our form of pre existing damages before moving in. TLDR: The issue isn’t the water pipe, it’s their incompetency of providing anything after 45 days and holding our lease. Furthermore, the landowner failed to look at her lease and made us add the gas only until all parties signed it. Please feel free to DM me, I would be more than happy to talk about my experiences. I have a chat history and the damage forms with dates to prove everything.

Fantastic experience: Dana Campbell helped us buy and close on a house this month in fairfax, VA and out of any professional I have ever worked with, across any industry, he is by far the most pleasant, knowledgeable, and accessible person I have ever worked with. We had received multiple recommendations for real estate agents through family and friends, but we coincidentally met Dana when we scheduled a showing through Zillow. We were guarded at first because we expected to use our recommendations, but within minutes, Dana had won us over. While we are elated about winning the house that met all of our goals and needs, we are truthfully quite sad that this means that our time spent with Dana has now come to an end. We will probably take up an extra 5 side jobs just so we can get enough income to afford us the ability to work with Dana again and buy more real estate with him.

Fantastic experience: When I say Jonathan is a godsend, I’m not exaggerating. Jonathan helped my family find a home and negotiate a good deal right before Christmas (we ratified a few days before the holidays!). Fantastic experience: Bottom Line Up Front: Dana Campbell and his team are the finest real estate team we've ever encountered. We recently sold our home in Caroline County; we met Dana, discussed our goals and had an honest dialog about expectations. We didn't even bother to interview anyone else - it was clear that Dana was honest and committed to utilizing all available data to make informed recommendations. Dana's team took amazing photos and created a home write up / summary that was so good I almost wanted to place a bid LOL! Our home was on the market two days when we received an offer that met our quote! The buyer had some funding challenges -- Dana recommended a lender to the buyer (thru their agent), and the funding challenges disappeared. Dana kept us informed every step of the way, from the time we got to the initial offer until the buyer closed (the day after we did). Total time between going on the market and closing: 33 days. There were some buyer title agent problems after all parties had closed - again, Dana charged into those problems and they disappeared! My wife and I completely trust Dana and his team! I'm being as honest as I can -- I would not look anywhere else for your real estate support!

Fantastic experience: First time home buyer. Got notified of moving to Virginia for a fulltime position on Fort Beloit with a 3 week notice. Contacted Nelson, explained the situation, and that I wanted a house ready to go once I got there. Being military himself, he was very supporting and understanding of my situation. He did a wonderful job at explaining the house buying process and helping through every step. He made himself available when needed as well. The deal he negotiated for the townhouse we got was a huge help. Not only did we pay $2k under appraisal, but we got $5k in seller subsidy. Nelson was also very understanding and supportive of me switching loan officers late in the process. Pushing the closing date back made things complicated, but he worked diligently to make sure I still got a phenomenal deal on my home. Nelson also knows the all the surrounding areas very well and can help decide what will best fit your need. Very glad he helped my wife and I get a wonderful little townhouse that is not only close to the city, but 6.5 miles from work and safe area as well. Fantastic experience: Lexie has outstanding communicative skills, is extremely personable, and has excellent knowledge of the NW Washington, DC and Northern Virginia real estate markets. She explained the importance of properly pricing our home--to get competing offers--especially in an area like Chevy Chase, DC, where we live. She showed us a number of homes in Northern Virginia that might be better for aging in place than our Chevy Chase home. At the end of the day, however, we decided to hold off on making a decision to sell our existing home and purchase a new one. When we are ready to make such a momentous decision, we immediately will enlist Lexie to guide us through the process.
