Negative experience: Terrible experience took almost 2 months to hear back about a rental property. Did not communicate with us at all. We had to constantly ask about our application. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: Can't speak highly enough of Connor Heaton at The Loken Group. Looking for a home is always stressful especially as first time buyers. Connor put our hearts at ease every step of the way. We always knew what was going on, what every form we signed was about, EXTREMELY responsive, and very knowledgable. If you need a realtor who has your back and will be your sherpa he is your guy.

Fantastic experience: So I went through two other realtors that were pushy and didn’t listen to my needs. I found the Loken group on HAR and contacted them about a house that was up for sale, Cameron answered the phone told him how I had such a bad experience with the realtors and I just needed some that was on my high enthusiastic level, that’s when they gave me Connor the best realtor I have had in buying a house, he listened was patient taking me to house after house, he stuck with me never once making me feel like I was an inconvenience. Finally we found the right home that’s when I got introduced to the rest of the team, Rosi is amazing picking up the rear making sure all documents get done and making sure the closing happened on time I would definitely recommend the Loken Group as your first stop to a good, no great experience. In the end they become family.

Negative experience: If you are selling a rental home, I would look elsewhere. We were completely disappointed with the Realtor we had. I thought that due to the high reviews that we would be in good hands using this Realtor group. They assigned us Patrick, who was technically with Keller Williams but also apart of The Loken Group. From the beginning I was unimpressed. Patrick did the walkthrough of the home and told us that it was in great condition and scheduled the photo shoot. I get the pictures and the walk thru rendering and there is a huge pile of trash, curtains askew and still up, ball in the corner, trash and 5 old propane tanks randomly outside. I called immediately and after an apology from Patrick, I called a junk removal service. We waisted 1.5 weeks getting it actually ready for the photos. We trusted Patrick to have an eye for things you shouldn't want in your photos. He cost us time during the peak season, and a re-shoot. A few months went by and it wasn't sold yet(again not their fault). And around 2 months I had to tell Patrick that he needed to take the home off the market and put it back on so that it was listed under "new", as that would get it more views. Patrick should have come up with this himself. Finally the house gets under contract. Everytime they sent us a document, Patrick would never explain what the document meant. All I would see in the email was that we needed to sign. I'm a busy mom and I tried to decipher the legal documents best I could by myself. Closing time comes and we are closing at our home with a notary and we see that we are paying for the buyers closing costs too, about $6,000. Patrick NEVER asked about it, or talked about it to us.(I know its common to pay their side...but it should never be assumed!! The Realtor is suppose to talk about everything and guide you thru it!!) We had already slashed the price of the home by a large amount and had given about $12,000 in concessions to the buyers. We would negotiate up the price of the home and then give the buyer concessions so that the buyer didn't have to come up with the money and we didn't have to slash the price anymore. Win-Win....I assumed the buyers were paying their own closing costs, becauses Patrick didn't ask us about it during negotiations or talk about it. I call him in front of the notary and Patrick apologizes and says he just thought I knew that was going to happen. I felt enormous pressure to sign the closing documents because if I didn't the deal might fall thru. I was crying while signing because I felt like it was too late, if I tried to negotiate this late in the process the buyer would walk away. It would have been an easy 2 minute discussion and I would have negotiated the price up and then INCLUDE it in the concessions so that the buyers didn't have to bring money to closing and we didn't lose money. I talked to Mr. Loken about it after. He said he would have a serious discussion with Patrick about communicating and treating each new buyer as a separate transaction. But that they did the best they could in a difficult market. He then says I signed the documents in an addendum so its not on them. I have asked them to refund us our side of the commissions to make up for Patricks' mistake, but have not heard from Mr. Loken since. Find a specific Realtor that has THEIR OWN great reviews, instead of a huge group that shares reviews.

Fantastic experience: I have used Loken group for over 5 years and they are phenominal. Such an easy process and the tenants they putin the rental properties have so far been great. Erica Berry and Josh Cantu are absolutely the best. They make you feel so confident and secure. Choosing Loken Group had been one of the best decisions I've made. I an very very satisfied. I highly recommend.

I am a New York transplant and when I began my move from NY to Texas Amy & Erika as a team guided me from day one to closing. As crazy as it sounds, once I signed up to their portal and I "hearted" a listing they immediately contacted me and if I wanted to see it from NY they would provide a walk-thru with each one. Any question or issues I would have they'd answer on the spot. Once I chose my home, they presented a large network of contractor's and vendors to choose from so that the process would not stop, but move forward effortlessly. As for negotiator meter reading, Amy in my opinion is the best. All the way to the closing they were both there for me. I can't thank them enough, because all the while both were helping me process this purchase from New York! Nothing stopped these two. If you are in need of purchasing a home while out of state, I recommend Amy and Erika! Fantastic experience: The Loken Group has a fantastic process for selling homes. They know what they are doing. Bids were accepted on my home for only three days after then initial listing; one at listing price and eight over listed price. My agent, Aaron Bonvillion did an outstanding job throughout this process. He is knowledgeable on the entire home sale process and answered all my questions along the way. I wasn’t as happy with others who supported Aaron, but was able to still make the best of it. I highly recommend The Loken Group if you are looking for a reliable agent to sell your home.

Negative experience: UPDATE: We are approx 1 month into our new home and we can't believe how bad we were scammed into buying this POS property. We purchased this home "virtually" with videos and the opinion of our agent since we were out of state... FIRST MISTAKE. None of the water damage, leaks, terrible condition of the paint, carpet, walls, fixtures, squeaky stairs/floors, trashed tiles, huge holes in the walls, cracked kitchen sink, cracked tubs, etc was disclosed to us. Their recommended inspector missed things as well. We're an extra $60-80K in repairs into this place. My husband calls this house, "The Money Pit". Had the agent been upfront and honest about the condition this house was in (the terrible condition was super obvious to the naked eye), we would have never bought this place. Not only that, but she said it was "absolutely gorgeous" several times and allowed us to offer $15K ABOVE asking price. We would have offered $50K less had we known the real condition. It has a nice pool, that's it. It was really dishonest and sneaky. Commission is more important to these people than their clients. PREVIOUS REVIEW: My husband and I just purchased a home in Kingwood and Latasha Netherly (our agent) was very professional and made the entire process easy and seamless! Their entire team was great to work with and we couldn't be happier! We HIGHLY recommend Latasha and the Loken Group!

Negative experience: In my experience with this company, I strongly advise ensuring that all agreements are clearly outlined and documented in a written contract. Despite my agent's agreement and approval from owner Lance Loken to reduce fees, the Loken Group failed to honor this agreement during the closing process, despite providing evidence in text form. Additionally, I found it concerning that my home was on the market for three weeks without any mention of an open house. Further, I never met my agent. It appears that the agents might be overwhelmed with a substantial number of listings, making it challenging for them to accommodate additional tasks like hosting an open house. Furthermore, I faced resistance from my own realtor when I insisted on selling my home for a higher price than the initial offer from a buyer. By standing my ground and advocating for my desired price, I was able to keep an additional $20k in my pocket, which otherwise would have been lost following the recommendation of my listing agent at Loken Group to sell for less. Considering the significant fees I paid to this company, I feel disappointed and dissatisfied with the value I received in return. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to others seeking real estate services.

Fantastic experience: The Loken Group brings a team of professionals to help you market and sell your home rather than just a single agent. I had expert advice on preparing my house for sale, finding contractors to repair and paint, and to establish the right price. My house sold faster than I expected, and I was pleased with the results.

I have dealt with them for eleven years now and have sold three homes through them and there has always been a bidding war on my properties and have sold for more than the asking price! Negative experience: My experience in buying a house with the Loken Group in Houston was pretty bad. Everything started okay and there was some communication throughout the process. But honestly I feel like there wasn’t much the agent explained or did. I was moving to Houston from the north east of the country so never having lived here I wanted to know the good and the bad so I could prepare to move my family and life down here. Shockingly Most of my questions were answered by the builder (which you would think would only tell you good things since they’re trying to sell their product but they were very honest) and they checked up on me more than my agent did. This isn’t to say that I needed my hand held throughout the process but if you’re getting paid to help someone buy a house you should probably “help” at some point and not just check in to see how far along your commission is in the process. And I found it funny that after I scored the internal survey so low that my agent magically decided to check in and see if there’s anything else she could do for us. I’m sure the entire company isn’t like this but I just wanted to share my personal experience because it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: We had, to say the least, a complicated sale of our home. Let’s just say the first one didn't take despite going through the entire process, including closing. The legal system is now involved, and the parties who tried to pull a fast one ultimately will pay the price. The Loken Group, however, never blinked. In particular, Aaron Bonvillion proved why when you deal with The Loken Group, you're dealing with a deep, strong and professional team that gets things done. We never worried because they handled the errant sale and quickly found new buyers that were more than solid. None of the issues were The Loken Group's fault, but they jumped in and made everything right. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Aaron Bonvillion and Shanequa Garrett assisted me and my wife with the sale of our first home. The process was streamlined and easier than what we imagined. It started with a consultation with Aaron. He came to our home and explained everything the Loken group offers and was very patient in answering our questions and addressing our concerns. A few weeks after the initial consultation we decided to sell our home. Aaron understood the reason we decided to sell our home an immediately scheduled us to meet with Joni Porter who is the home stager at the Loken Group. Joni was great she gave us professional advice and tips on how to stage our home in order to sell it quicker. We took her advice and made the necessary adjustments right before the photo shoot. Marc Garza is the photographer who visited us. He did an amazing job with the pictures and even though it was raining the day of the shoot he managed to take great pics and edit them afterwards. We went live the week of Thanksgiving and accepted an offer before Christmas. Aaron was very supportive of our decisions and guided us every step of the way. Negative experience: I wish I would’ve sold my house on my own. The selling agents were very impersonal, I never met them in person and they only viewed my property online. We had an open house that they didn’t promote very well. They basically put a small sign at the end of my street and one in the yard about 10 minutes before it started. I was given no feedback about how it went. It just seemed they weren’t that interested in getting my house sold. The buyer’s agent we had was great, she was very professional and was so helpful. She was available to answer questions we had even after normal business hours. I would not use Loken group to sell another house.

Positive experience: We closed our buying process with the Loken Group on March 3, 2022. We are currently living in Los Angeles, and wanted to find a good agent in Houston. As this was our first time purchasing our own home, we wanted to be helped by experienced and well known group like the Loken Group. After various phone calls with different companies and reading reviews, we decided to go with Loken Group. We did have some hiccups and anxieties in the beginning with this company, as they would often forget to call us on the time they promised us. When they assigned us with this one particular agent, whose name I won’t mention, we let her know that we wanted to be in a safe neighborhood with good schools as we are having a baby girl soon. The agent recommended Pearland, TX and told us that she will be giving us listings shortly in that area. After many days, she never updated us further, and when we finally reached out to her for follow up, she gave us few listings that were in the completely different neighborhood. It was a dangerous neighborhood with high crime rate. So we complained to the group and even thought about going to other companies as this particular agent lost us some time to look for houses. However, Loken Group apologized and connected us with the agent called Amy Bergen. As we asked the company to connect us with someone who is very communicative, Amy was our ideal realtor. She never stopped reaching out to us, replying to us and giving us various options. We liked the fact that she was very communicative and enthusiastic. After couple weeks of searching, we came to find a charming house that fit all our needs and decided to put in offer with a love letter to the seller and trusted Amy to do her work to make the transaction happen. With some help from Amy, we were able to land a deal with the seller by paying a bit over the price and $10,000 earnest money. Amy and her team was kind and taught us various things regarding purchasing homes. She even gave us listings of contractors and different options for lenders such as Homeward. However I did notice there was a lack of communication in the latter part of the transaction where we were about to close. I’ve studied a lot on buying a house and the common thing various people talked about is “communication” among the buyers, the realtors and the lenders. I am still very grateful to the Loken Group and Amy for helping us close on the house. I do wish the company improves in communicating with possible buyers in the early stage where they assign the agents which they lacked and the first agent was just horrible to work with as she was MIA most of the time. Maybe she was busy, but still, that’s not how business should work. For possible buyers who may be reading my long review, this is my honest review and my personal experience. It may be different for you, and I wish you have a smooth journey in buying your new home. Ask for Amy Bergen. And let her know that you are looking for communicative agents.
