Experiencia negativa: Went to check out an apartment. Covered in garbage and falling apart! It appears to me they used the wrong lock box on the door, and so I couldnt even get in. No one answered the phone when I called multiple times to resolve the issue.The people and their kids already living here deserve better! I don't care how close this is to the airport, it's not worth the price.
Experiencia negativa: I was hospitalized and came home to eviction papers. It had only been about 2 weeks past when rent was due. They did this without ever speaking to me or finding out the situation, i had the funds, i was even trying to get it paid from in the hospital but the staff there wouldn't let me So i moved out on principle. These people are inhumane They tried to get me to pay all these fees, along with a few months rent while the place was vacant. But i refused. I was the perfect tennant & even painted the porch during my time there. Dont play their games & do not pay their made-up unethical charges. Nothing ever happened & it never went on my credit. You will not be the exception, read all these other reviews to find out what else will happen to you if you rent from them.
Experiencia negativa: My experience was not good. They only allow showings M-F/9-5. This is not good for potential renters who work M-F/9-5!!! Unfortunately, my clients can't see the property they are interested in, so we have to bypass it. I wouldn't want them to manage my property with that limited viewing schedule.
Experiencia negativa: I never actually got to rent a property from them but I quickly found out why. First I don’t believe they actually fully understand English which makes communication with them next to impossible. Then the outlines for the application are a very grey area because it says one thing then requires another. Most places I have come across will actually TRY to get the tenants approved and moved in. These people just lack anything involving humility and compassion. I feel sorry for the actual property owners whom use this company. There’s a particular property that someone I know was extremely interested in renting and they just dropped the ball all around. Smfh. No wonder their properties are over grown and unkempt.
Experiencia negativa: I truly wish I could give Landmark Resources zero stars. They are the ABSOLUTE worst property management company to deal with and show such little care for their tenants. They put off their tenants needs for months and are extremely unprofessional to deal with.

Experiencia negativa: The WORST property management that I've EVER come across. It seems like they only hire rude staff, they don't actually care about ANYTHING wrong on the property, and they steal!!! I've had my rent deposited into someone else's account before and the only reason they found out was because they called me asking was I going to pay my rent. Thankfully I had the receipt of my money order for them to track the payment. Oh & please don't get me started on how they changed my lease to a month to month lease and then gave me 30 days to move out because they're selling the property. I'm thankful I'm done with this company but I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to sign a lease through this company. They are pure EVIL.
Experiencia negativa: Several of us have had negative experiences dealing with Laura Nichols, and we would strongly advise against renting or purchasing from her. A common issue we've encountered is the refusal to return security deposits, even after tenants move out and provide new, landlord-approved replacements. Additionally, her rental units have been plagued by severe roach infestations, which she failed to address appropriately. Instead, tenants are unfairly held responsible for these issues. Avoid unnecessary frustration and think carefully before entering into any agreements with Laura Nichols. Their new company name is BestMove Property Management.
Experiencia negativa: NEVER rent a house from them. I have no idea how Landmark’s boss manages their employees. The manager has a TERRIBLE attitude and NEVER responds to emails, so you must visit the office for anything. Landmark claimed they tried to contact the owner to inquire about something but told us for two weeks that they couldn’t reach them. When I went to the Landmark office again to follow up and insisted that the manager contact the owner immediately, they miraculously managed to reach the owner on the spot. What a coincidence—the owner, who supposedly hadn’t answered calls for two weeks, suddenly picked up today.
Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT from this company!! Do not let them finesse you with cheap prices, proximity to ammenites, or anything of the such! They are the worst company in Columbia and possibly in the country. They will cause you stress and are not worth a penny of your hard earned money. LOOK AT HOW MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS THEY HAVE!! For starters many (probably all) of the properties have problems with critters to the point that conventional bug spray and methods do nothing to deter said critters. Additionally the infasturctue of many of Landmarks properties is outdated and not maintained in any way shape or form. I distinctly remeber the elevator (that supposedly required a tenant exclusive key to operate) having two loose wires hanging out the box that could be touched together to call the elevator down from the garage. That alone is unexceptable let alone the countless other examples of negligence and idiocracy displayed by Landmark. If somehow your still considering it further examples are: Laughing at tenants on the phone regarding the severity of potential leaks; refusing to come out to service a broken toilet during the pandemic and being told to go to a business to utilize the restroom; providing an apartment with a very dirty dishwasher upon move in (as in black mold, spots whatever you want to call it everywhere) and my personal favorite attempting to fine a resident after said residents car was vandalized.
Experiencia negativa: The managers don’t respond to messages on chat or voicemail. I’ve been without heat for a week and they sent the repair man out promptly but he couldn’t fix the heat without getting a part. This was on Monday. It’s 3:20 Friday and they haven’t approved to get the part needed to fix my heat. Another Weekend without heat!!
Experiencia negativa: Their maintenance dept is terrible. Phone system send you in circles and then disconnects you. When a plumber was finally sent to fix an ongoing leak in bathroom ceiling, he demanded payment from tenant. All they care about is collecting their rent from students and not the building. BE WARNED: They will nickel and dime your deposit on move out. They charged $20 for a smoke alarm battery and another $20 for a HVAC filter. And $50 to have a guy replace them! Then, the refund of the balance of our deposit was $140.98 short. It took 3 calls to get the book keeper to investigate, then the charged me another $10 to cut me a check for the balance they owed me. You have to live someplace, and if it happens to be a place they manage - you know what you are getting into.
Experiencia negativa: Worst experience with a rental agency ever. Once they realized that the renters were moving out and the owner was moving in, they would return zero phone calls and emails. No cleaning to home, no painting done, trash left inside, etc. Unacceptable!!
Experiencia fantástica: The real estate and management offices located at 1600 park circle are located on the 1st floor open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm This apartment building is on the site of USC CAMPUS corner Pickens St and Park Circle. Convenient to downtown Columbia and the famous 5 Points area. Housing is available for students for professional and families. The parking is free and rent is reasonable. Elevators and exercise facilities working daily.
Experiencia negativa: I specifically asked if having no credit would be an issue and was told no people do it all the time submitted the application with the 89 dollar application fee just to be hit with a denial for having no credit.... asked for a refund and keep getting the run around soooo if you apply I suggest you don't this place been on the market for almost a full month. Sadly they are just accepting the application fee and handing out denials
Experiencia negativa: It is a red flag and poor practice to request money up front in cash just to view an apartment! This is a scam. Just do the virtual viewing if you, as a management company, are that concerned of someone stealing your key OR just view the property with the person. Why place renters thru this because you want to hold their money? I would never let someone hold 150.00. I see why these reviews are so terrible. Where are the good property managers in SC??
Experiencia negativa: BE CAREFUL!!!! If you ask about criteria, they will lie!!! They say that they don’t check for a certain credit score, yes they do. Because I asked about the credit part, the guy told me credit doesn’t matter, they are not looking at a certain score. There was two small bills on there that was it and it was not owing another property management or anything like that. They said it could just make the deposit higher. So if you have one bad thing on there or two it’s a fact that you will be denied. There’s no evictions, background and everything was good. They basically got me for $80.
Experiencia negativa: People please BE CAREFUL of giving them your application fee. I wasn’t going to go back and forth with them I simply brought the issue here to help others. I think they are gaming people of the application fees at this point to get extra money. They told me when I called before I put in an application for a house that they don’t worry about credit all they really look for if you owe a rental property and evictions. Three of us was on the application. When I did the application the girl in the front said it will take 3 to 4 days to have an answer back, but before my application can be processed I have to turn everything they needed from me in. The next day or two I turned everything in and the same girl said now it can fully processed to give them 3 to 4 days. I called the third day and she said we are still waiting I said okay. After the fourth day I never gotten a call from them so I called back and the girl route my call to Christie and Christie told me my application was approved but that particular house I applied for they rented it already because she emailed me asking me for one more documentation in which if she did email me I didn’t get it. There’s no excuse if you are trying to contact someone and they left multiple ways of contacting them like my phone is working and has a nice clear voicemail that I check daily because it comes directly to my phone also the girl told me the application WILL NOT be processed until all documentation is turned it so someone told me a tale. Christie said find another house on our website that you like since the other one that I applied for got rented within 5 or 6 days of my application, mind you . I waited a couple days to see if they post something I was looking for they never did so I called and ask one lady how long the application is good for? She said I think 30 days. I told the lady what happened I don’t know her name. And she said they do have a property that’s about to be available and that she didn’t put it on the website because she need to go take pictures of it but if I wanted to rent it all I have to do is bring the security deposit and I will be fine now the lady did put me on hold to see about my application approval and she told me that’s all I needed to do at that point she also told me to drive by the property to see if I like it and bring the deposit. I did drove by. Then I got a letter in the mail stating that my application has been denied due to lack of credit and landlord history in which I know that was a tale because the other two tenants never rented before and I have been with the management property I’m with now for 3 years and I don’t have evictions so I got off work early that day and went up there to get a more clear understanding because at that point I was confused. The lady told me to wait on Christie in the conference room it took her awhile to come down I guess she was typing up that bogus letter she sent me in the mail I have them both totally two different letters. She comes in there and tells me that the broker don’t want to go along with application and she don’t really know the reason but hands me the letter. I wanted to say somethings but I held my peace and walked away. They shouldn’t be doing people like that especially during a pandemic with prices on everything going up. Just be careful dealing with them….

Experiencia negativa: I wish I had read the reviews before giving them money. Landmark straight up scammed me. Finessed me and told me everything I wanted to hear prior to giving them money, and once I paid, never heard from them again. Only after calling like 5 times over the course of an entire week did someone finally call me back, 7 full days after I had paid, and then didn't follow through with anything they told me they were going to do. These people are hucksters. Don't fall for it!
Experiencia negativa: Didn't fix a broken A/C for 7 months over the summer despite multiple maintenance requests, follow up calls, and emails from me, so my apartment was 86+ degrees even with a window unit and fans. I've had to stay at friend's houses and have my kid stay with family due to how hot it got. Water heater busted one morning and flooded almost the whole apartment, despite putting the maitenance request in around 7am they didn't call for cleanup until late that afternoon. So between the heat and humidity I have had mold growing in all the cabinets even through the mold-blocking spray I've had to put down. I have also NEVER had an issue with roaches but once I moved into this apartment I see multiples a day even when I've done bombs and put traps down. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of concern for their residents. They will entice you with the good locations and cheaper rent but they are not worth renting through.

Experiencia negativa: I am a tenant of a property that Landmark manages the HOA, I do not have a lease with this company. Landmark had my car towed. There are no assigned parking spaces. When I reached out to them to discuss the unnecessary towing they were not only rude, but aggressive. Completely unprofessional. My mother was a property manager for many years- the behavior of Stevie, the property manager at Landmark was unbelievably inappropriate. I have had to hire an attorney to deal with this issue. If you could give zero stars on a review I certainly would. Do not deal with this company. They should not even be in business.

Experiencia negativa: I will never rent with Landmark Resources ever again. I've had an ongoing issue with a leak coming from my ceiling and light fixture that they refuse to get to the bottom of because they don't want to spend any money. The manager never answers the phone, the service manager is horrifically unprofessional, and now I'm even being gaslit by the landlord who says there's no leak even though I have video evidence.
Experiencia negativa: Worst ever. Tommy long should be fired. I own a home out of state and they are amazing this owner has no idea the amount of damage to the home. Agter reporting issues and being ignored they got worse and worse. Not to mention he never responded to emails ever. So evict me please bc im out anyway and in a nicer place where they actually fix issues and care foe their tenants. I would never list my home with these people and as for Tommy and his supervisor they need to find a new career path bc they have no idea what they are doing. And they don't care abt your property bc if they did half the issues I've told them abt would have been dealt with.
Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend using this company! They did not ensure that my tenants had renters insurance. They did not ensure that my tenants adhered to the no pet policy. Upon evicting my tenant the company subtracted a trash removal fee from the security deposit. The attached photo shows the trash I removed Myself from the property. I was charged management fees for a property that was not managed.

Experiencia negativa: I would have to be on my last EVERYTHING to deal with this rental company again!!! The employees are incompetent. They want you to submit a work order for everything but take months to fix what the work order was submitted for-yet they still require you to pay rent on time. The managers have the attitude of a 15 year old teenage girl-and they’re men! The maintenance workers fix everything just enough for them to say they’ve completed the job and days later-the same issue comes back. During move out, I was charged for a burnt out socket, a loose screen on the patio, and a light cover-ALL WHICH WERE THAT SAME WAY UPON MOVE IN! When I asked for an itemized statement of the charge breakdown, the PROPERTY MANAGER could not even provide that to me! I don’t even know what I’m REALLY paying for! They even charged me for a maintenance call for a defected shower head that THEY installed. Reason I was charged-“because it was something I could’ve fixed myself”. Well I don’t think it’s rocket science to know that if I COULD, I WOULD! What’s the point of maintenance if they’re going to charge you for every call?! You can only get things done when you go speak to someone face to face-otherwise they hang up on you. My unit was so poorly constructed, it flooded through in my bedroom and hallways. It was so bad that my wooden floors were SOFT and you can SMELL the mildew building up. It took WEEKS and for me to go speak with the THEN property manager For someone to even come look at the issue. But again-they want their rent on time. I called to set up a payment arrangement For this SUSPICIOUS final balance after move in and the property manager asked me if I could pay more than what I already told him I could afford. When I asked him why is he asking for more, his response was “because paying this off is over half a year”. SMH. And I reiterate-all they’re concerned about is MONEY!! I’m assuming he thought all of my income is due to Landmark and no other bills. They’ve had 2 different sets of management since I’ve lived there and both sets have shown incompetency! Like most others, I have filed a complaint with the BBB. While they have beautiful homes, I would go go an entire apartment complex before renting through this lazy, money hungry rental company again!!
Experiencia negativa: Told me one of the properties had just opened and had only been opened for a day. When I submitted my application the same day they told me it opened , I got an email the very next day saying that I someone else had already been approved for the place. Not sure how that’s possible when my application was the only one. Very unprofessional dont rent here.

Experiencia negativa: Truly disappointed with this company. I asked for help with transferring to a lower rent property because we were abruptly made into a single income household. Tommy stated there was not much he could do to assist me. Stated to apply for government assistance for future payments. I’ve never been late and am being honest about our financial future. I can’t afford to possibly be responsible for rent until my lease ends and he’s just like it is what it is. Where is the sympathy and compassion for tenants? Would not recommend. Response to management- 1/28/2023 Since I can not reply to the property mangers response, please note that there was in fact an available property that I messaged and called about as well as others available… just check the website. That’s a pitiful excuse as to why you claim to not be able to help tenants in a time of need. Especially when we’ve never caused any problems, never been late, and repeatedly made ourselves available for maintenance on a new build. We asked to switch to a smaller AVAILABLE place and Tommy stated what is mentioned above. Verbatim “apply for SC rent assistance (even though we met NONE of the requirements) you never know if you’ll be approved if you don’t try”.
Experiencia negativa: Sent pest control request after request after request. We see multiple roaches everytime we enter the kitchen. The problem has been getting increasingly worse with radio silence on their end. Roommate and I are mostly eating out and bringing food from home now because our kitchen is effectively unusable. Save your money and go to a place that will at least respond to you.
Experiencia fantástica: Landmark has maintained my HOA Assoc. for several years now and I've very pleased with the service, communication, and efforts to help the community be better all the way around.
Experiencia negativa: After hours service is null and void no one answers after hours number. If you have maintenance issues (no heat) can never get it fixed same day after reporting it at 0850am. The worst!!!
Experiencia fantástica: I rented from landmark resources for about two years and always had a good experience. Anytime something was wrong they came out to fix sometime within the same week and sometimes two to three weeks later depending on the issue. I recently moved out and left my house how I moved in and based off the reviews I wasn’t expecting a deposit so I didn’t worry about and today I received my full deposit back from them 2 months later
Experiencia fantástica: I know there are now very low rated reviews here, and in the past I would have been one of them, but please read to the end of this review and you will understand why I have rated them 5 stars at this time. I have rented from Landmark for 16-1/2 years at the same residence. The management and staff at that time, with a very few occasional exceptions were, until this year (2022), worse than terrible! Getting major repairs was a nightmare and even minor repairs needed were next to impossible and took months.The owner and staff at that time was rude and unpleasant to deal with. I dreaded having to call them for anything. I have had issues getting anything that went wrong repaired or replaced - the ac needed repair 3 times, the refrigerator and freezer quit working 3 times, was repaired, and eventually was replaced, but it took 6 months during which I at least had a loaner from Lowes, having kitchen ceiling and outside light fixtures that did not work, replacing the microwave, all of which took months, as well as a leaking outside water line I had repaired when I couldn't contact them ((they did reimburse me eventually but I had to pay the extra $300 water bill. And when my home was broken into in 2011 and the front door and locks were damaged beyond repair, Landmark could have cared less and told me to call my renter's insurance, who of course wouldn't repair or replace it. Landmark said I was responsible and I had to purchase a new door, locks, and have it installed for a cost of over $500. There were other problems but you get the idea. Now let's go to this year, 2022, when it seems everything has appeared to change for the better. At the end of May of this year my air conditioning once again quit working during a very hot week. It did take several days for an ac repair company to come look at it (the owner of the company who had repaired it previously and was very competent had retired and closed his business). They were insistent the entire ac and heating system needed to be replaced and kept delaying the quote (which I know as I kept contacting the repair company myself) and as soon as I contacted Landmark again they contacted a different repair company and my ac was fixed the next day. Then 10 days before Thanksgiving my oven went haywire and when set at 350 heated up to 500 degrees! I contacted Landmark through the online repair request that Sunday night and was contacted first thing Monday morning by Marilyn, the new service manager. She said she would immediately contact the owner about replacing the stove. Within a few hours she had called me back and said Lowes would be delivering a new stove on Wednesday. Sure enough, first thing Wednesday morning a new stove arrived. I also spoke to Marilyn about the outside light fixture and the kitchen ceiling light that still needed repair,as well as the microwave hood light which also needed repair and she said she would let Christian, the new maintenance person know so they could be repaired as soon as possible. I told her after Thanksgiving would be fine. Yesterday Christian stopped by to see exactly what repairs were needed so he could obtain the proper supplies to fix them. I have been very impressed with the responses I have gotten from all the new staff I've communicated with thus far, Especially Marilyn and Christian. All have been very kind and seem committed to turning around the poor reputation Landmark has had in the past years from tenants (myself included and believe me, I told them all about past issues), and by their helpful, friendly and professional attitudes, as well as ensuring repairs are now made on a on a timely basis. I really believe (and hope) they are sincere in continuing their commitment to an improved staff and reputation.

Experiencia negativa: Landmark Resources is property manager for my condo complex, Heathwood Court. They are incredibly unpleasant to deal with an ANY matter. Rude. Incompetent. Argumentative . Combative. They’ll go toe-to-toe with anybody, anytime. If you see their name, RUN or you WILL regret it. They wear their terrible reputation like a badge of honor.
Frank, we have gotten several complaints about the HOA associate that you are talking about and we made changes. You will find a very competent and friendly HOA manager. We appreciate your patience.

I had a water leak and it took them weeks to fix it.. ran my water bill up sky high... when they finally fixed it they were supposed to send a statement to the water company and they never did.. I am still fighting them with it.. worse place I ever rented thru..
Experiencia negativa: Never did anything to assist with the property. No upkeep. The house has all kinds of weeds growing from everywhere. Tried to get the deck fixed, they never tried to fix it. Would not recommend.
Experiencia negativa: I rented from them a few years ago and it was the worst. The property was not clean when I moved in (dirt, trash, and bugs). The carpet never was cleaned. I had to pay for someone to clean it and even had emails about how the carpet needs replacing. Yet when I moved out I got charged for not cleaning the carpet. Honestly between the bad contracts and the property I wouldn’t recommend. The only GOOD I experienced was Crystal (I believe that was her name). She was a real nice agent to work with.

Experiencia negativa: "Park Circle" Expect to lose at least 1/3 of your deposit no matter how clean you leave the Unit. Deposit was $675.00 and I was billed $230.00 for cleaning. We left the Little Studio cleaner than when we moved in but they created a BS bill for wiping windows, cleaning baseboards. Also beware the place is full of little roaches breeding everywhere... when my son moved back home roaches came with him. I now have a roach problem here I'm taking care of. We dont recommend renting there. The place is a dump with a train running thru it.

Experiencia fantástica: Danielle and team have been turning things around at this property for the past few years. When Danielle and her team took over there was a noticeable positive change in the way things operated. Everything from upkeep of the building to modernization of systems used to fulfill residents needs have been improved. Hallways have been retiled, common areas have been repainted, there is a highly effective pest control system being utilized, all new security cameras have been added among many other improvements. Also the old staff is gone. If you read a bad review it’s likely from when the old staff was in place. I enjoy living here. Great location, friendly staff, safe and convenient.

Experiencia negativa: Erica was extremely rude. I called about a property listed online that I was very interested in. I got the connection from a friend who rents with these guys, and my first mistake was seeing these reviews and calling anyways. They don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. If you're rude now, I'd hate to see you after I'm a locked in tenant. No thank you.

Experiencia negativa: This company is horrible with maintenance issues. We recently had a pipe burst and called them about it in the early morning hours, had to leave a voicemail. Called back again at 1pm alerted them on the issue again and also emphasized water is running out around the house. Said they were going to call a plumber. It’s going on 4pm and the water has been running every since and still no plumber. We had to call the city of Columbia water department to have someone come turn the water off! Today it’s almost noon and no one has showed up yet! We’re definitely getting out of here.

Experiencia negativa: This is by far the worst place to rent from PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! I've had problems with maintenance since day one with water leaking from the hot water heater closet as well as from the ceiling in the bathroom which was all notated in my walkthrough. I still moved in because I needed a place to stay ASAP and they gave me the impression that those things would be fixed. And apparently when they realize it would cost a lot of money to fix it they wanted to claim vandalism because my neighbors starting making reports about their place as well SMH. Long story short they allowed me to break my lease and move out early w/o penalty but i have yet to get me my deposit back and it's been 40+ days since I moved out!! They are giving me the run-around telling me they sent the check in the mail but since I haven't received it they said they'll cut me another one and leave it at the office for me to pick up. When I went to go pick up my check they told me they put it in the mail the day before which was ridiculous and shows lack of communication on their end. By all means do what you got to do for you and yours but please make this the very last option on your list!! ps. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!

THEY ARE TAKING APPLICATION FEES FOR HOUSES THEY’VE ALREADY RENTED OUT. THEY SHOULD’NT BE TAKING FROM PEOPLE DURING A PANDEMIC WITH THE WAY PRICES ARE RISING. SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE!!!

Experiencia positiva: Just put in an application, so far everyone has been very courteous and professional. Update: 9/6/21 I lowered my star rating as I’ve been living in one of their units and have come across a couple of problems. Maintenance issues are very slow to resolve. I’ve had a leak in my ceiling since May and someone came to cut a hole in the ceiling only to say he has to get back to us later and now it’s been 4 months of me emptying water out of the pan I have underneath a huge gaping hole, and the carpet around the area is getting pretty gross. Paying rent is a little inconvenient, the portal they use is so archaic and hard to navigate, I went ahead and just set it on auto draft, so at least that’s an option.

Experiencia negativa: Edit 7/20/2021 The property manager allowed me to terminate my lease and gave me a full refund. Thank you, Laura. Please avoid this company, Christy Maddox especially. Learn from my mistakes so you don’t have to live through them yourself. Haven’t even signed the lease yet and I’m already sorely disappointed by the lack of customer service and professionalism this company presents. Yes, the rent is cheap. However, everything else is garbage thus far. Christie was incredibly rude over the phone and even worse in person. Our move in date was changed 2 days prior to move in due to maintenance issues, which caused a logistic nightmare for my roommate and me. Seeing as we had our security deposit delivered to the company over a month before our set move in date, I find this unacceptable. Edit 7/19/2021: It just keeps getting worse. As mentioned prior, Landmark pushed my move in date forward 5 days in order to complete "maintenance". I took possession of the unit today, it was not cleaned at all. There were roach carcasses throughout the entire unit. Mold and mildew were covering the walls in the master bathroom. There was also an active water leak on the ceiling. When I contacted the service department about this issue, they mentioned that they hadn't "gotten around to cleaning the unit yet". Again, they changed our move in date. This is unacceptable. Please. Stay. Away. I’ll continue to update this review after I move in, because sadly I can’t get my deposit back. Let me reiterate, learn from my mistakes.
Experiencia negativa: Will not be doing any more business with them. Very poor communication from the property managers. I had an appointment to view a property, but was not informed that the property had become unavailable due to a security deposit being placed days after my appointment was confirmed. I had to miss work and call up there myself to confirm the property was no longer available. If I was told that the property was unavailable prior to taking off from work i would have no issue, money talks and bs walks, but a simple call would have prevented the burden and frustration. No apology or ounce of empathy.
Experiencia negativa: This is by far one of the worst businesses that I have ever had to deal with. They are completely unprofessional, full of bs, do not keep their word, and all around rude. When we rented the townhome it was filthy and needed to be cleaned and we left it in a much better quality than when we got it and they still took so much of the deposit for bs that they said they had to do. Will not ever use them again

Experiencia negativa: They are never in the office. They make up fantom maintenance charges and you can’t get out of them. They charge more money for pets than the lease states. They tell you to pay for things one way, then complain that you payed that way. Don’t fix the things that are broken.
Experiencia negativa: This place is a joke, the lack of professionalism is beyond me. My daughter rents a 1 bedroom apt, she has been there almost one year. Her stove is digital with a digital temperature reading. Upon first day, it never displayed the numbers fully, one day, they decided to look at it further, it was full of dead roaches, you could see where the front piece had been repaired with some type of appliance glue. She called they quickly blamed her for last of cleaning and or pest, however they bought their own pest service who comes out regularly. This week the unit finally stopped working, she called several times only to get the run around. On Wednesday she sent a text stating she was going to call BBB, on Thursday morning she did. She then received phone call from Leslie would stated it was a inappropriate, uncalled for text and phone call, she then processed to hang up on her. I called later because my daughter is 21, I'm 56, knowing sometimes young people are taken advantage of. Leslie was out of the office conveniently, and the other woman I spoke to hung up on me. After all this guess what miraculously mid morning a stove was delivered from Lowes, New to the apt. I've said it once I'll say it again in healtcare, I've gotta be nice or I'll be unemployed, so guess what you are in the service business. Provide good service.
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely the worst company I've ever seen! My heater broke and they say they can legally take 14 days to repair it. In the mean time I have to suffer through the cold whether according to what they say. I had to buy my own heater because of the severe cold! If I had time to deal with these idiots, I would have sued them. Don't believe those one or 2 good reviews they have. I'm sure it's paid for by them.

After that I was immediately disnterested in the property. Tenants shouldn't be allowed to smoke inside of rental properties.... and at the very least the unit should of been cleaned/ inspected before allowing people to tour it.

Experiencia negativa: PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! Giving them one star is generous. Once they get you moved in customer service is nonexistent. Major water leak in the house and had to call, send pictures then finally show up in person to get it fixed. Have work orders in for 6 months that have not even been addressed. When you call it's always "we only have one maintenance man ." Microwave has been broken for 2 months and again no one has shown up. OH but they can contact you to say the rent is going to be increased. Property owners please look elsewhere they will not take care of your home!!!!! Renters GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Most of the staff are clueless when you ask questions and give you the run around. It took almost 2 months to receive some of our deposit back when it is supposed to take 30 days at the longest. They are rude and nasty when you ask questions. This place would not even qualify as decent to rent from.

Also they claim that someone was living in the home, we drove by the home which looked abandoned and not taken care of. We requested further information regarding the increase in deposit because the approval letter email was general, not typed out totally, and we were spoken to as if we were inferior to them. They have already proved that the negative reviews are true even before signing any type of contract . Experiencia negativa: Stay away from this company!!! I would have given -100 to this company if I could! My husband and I lived in 2009 Greene street for around a year and it's been the most terrible experience we ever had. Staff are very rude even when they are wrong and they always treat like it is your fault that you cannot put up with with them not doing their job! They are just terrible! The day before we moved in which was Friday, they claimed that the apartment was cleaned by their professional cleaning team!!! When we went in, it was like the apartment had not been cleaned at least for a couple of years! Even tangled hair of the previous tenant was every where on the carpet which was very disgusting! The fridge, stove and washer dryer were so dirty that we did not even want to touch their handle. Cabinets were full of dead roaches and bugs. Also, roaches were everywhere and we finished a raid ant killer only in the first day. And when we called them, they said it's weekend and we cannot do anything. They also insisted in we have cleaned every where! Long story short, after several calls and arguments for more than 5 days, they sent a girl with a glass spray and a single tissue and a vacuum. It was only then that we realized what they mean by professional cleaning team! Our own cleaning stuff were much more than their professionals! We re-cleaned every where ourselves after she left. Apart form this, any problem with the apartment was considered "cosmetic" thing or "luxury" thing in their point of view and did not get fixed or some major ones took for ever to get fixed only after many arguments. The carpet was full of cigarette marks and old stains when we moved in. The bath tub was rusted and peeling! However, like many other things, they said it is what it is and we won't fix them. We had ceiling leaks a couple of times. One time, it was a Friday once we got home in the evening after work and we found that ceiling of the restroom has been leaking for hours that water came in far to the middle of the living room and made the dirty and ugly carpet more disgusting. Again like many other times, they said that it is weekend and we cannot send any one. They were supposed to send someone to take care of the carpet after leaking stopped but they never sent anyone and we had to deal with the carpet in that disgusting way. We did not have AC for two weeks in the hottest summer month while we had to work form home because of COVID pandemic. And ever time we called them they treated us in a way as if we should not have called for this and they even said that based on the SC regulations, AC is a luxury thing and it is okay if they do not fix/change the AC. I do not know hwere the hell in the world AC is a "luxury" thing in the year 2020! It'll be a very long list if I want to list all the problems we have had during the year with this property. Before leaving, we cleaned the whole apartment, even behind and beneath the fridge and stove, although we got it in a terrible condition. Now, we have moved from this apartment (thankfully) since Aug 31 and we have not received our deposit back yet! (I should note that they charged us double for deposit only because we are international students!) And when I called them today for at least the fourth time, they rudely reacted like why I am calling regarding this. They put me on hold for exactly 45 minutes. I hanged up and called again and one of them said I would receive a call back which I have not yet! I cannot understand why we should call them several times for something that is clear as the day. We have left the apartment and must have received our deposit within a month (based on what was said in our contract!).

Very responsive, very professional and I would absolutely recommend them to any rental property owner for quality property management services. I might also add that I have used them in the real estate brokerage space as a listing agent for property I have sold. Same responsive, professional and quality services and of course they have always gotten the house SOLD. Not all real estate professionals are created equal so thanks Landmark for standing out and being a great asset to me for all these years.

Experiencia negativa: Beware!!!! Steer clear from this place!!!! Believe the negative comments!!!!!! These people will make fake claims to the cops and CPS if an expensive repair needs to be done. They literally try to SCARE you out to avoid fixing things. Was a great tenant even when several repair requests went undone. They're disrespectful and disgusting bullies. It was a nightmare I'm so happy to have escaped from.
