I signed a lease on an apartment and when I went to move in, it appeared to have new damage from a recent storm. PMI apologized for this and gave me back my full deposit. – Google 9/3/19

I don’t understand how they have business when the business that i have tried to give them has been completely blown off and sloppily handled. The 2 walk through I did the lady did not interact nor even throughly answer the questions. Just swept under the rug. 0.7/10 do NOT recommend
Experiencia negativa: Biggest crooks ive ever rented from , I wont go into details because the list is longer then anyone has time for but , they made repairs that i called in and they fixed , once moved out I was charged for them to go back and fix their own fixes. Worst rental company ever. If you have a choice choose ANYTHING else. FYI we were told by them we would get our deposit back and we were one of the best tenets they've had and instead got a bill for over 3,000 including the deposit we were told we would get back.
Experiencia negativa: I applied last August. I received one call about my info then nothing. I called and amazingly got someone to show the property. I moved in and was harassed by a female neighbor and her boyfriend. She wasn't even authorized to live here. I told management I was going to file a police report. He moved out. I thought that was the end of it. He continues to come here because he never turned in his keys. His broken down vehicle remains here as well. Mgmt turned our heat OFF on April 1st 30 days before MT law requires. They don't follow the law or the contract when it comes to their part. I gave permission to enter my apt after 10am so of course the old man that runs PMI told them to come Before 10 am. Maintenance men make threats. Left us in the cold and brought space heaters saying that was all they could do. Amazingly the owner and a different maintenance man not PMIs came in and fixed the heat that day. The rest is involved in a lawsuit and complaint with the State so I can't discuss that.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid renting from this company if you can, they are very shady when it comes to your security deposit. If you are renting from them, don’t let them push you around; call them out on their BS and hold them to it. If you take them to court it id actually their responsibility to justify the deductions from your security deposit. MCA, 70-25-204. So, if you have to, take them to small claims court. The steps to file a complaint in Yellowstone County are very easy and can be found online. At the end of my lease professional management attempted to keep a portion of my security deposit for “cleaning.” This was despite 24-hour move-out inspection done in writing by the property company proving the house to be in good condition. I called professional management to inquire what this $400 “cleaning” fee was actually used for as Montana law requires a description. I was connected with Don who immediately became defensive. He attempted to gas light me as to what the applicable laws stated regarding his obligations as a landlord (despite believing that “Montana Code Annotated” was a type of law that did not apply to him). When I called him out on this and read the correct laws verbatim to him he began to throw a tantrum. His exact words were “Good for you, you know the law.” I attempted to diffuse the situation by stating that I was only hoping to reach a resolution that avoided me having to take him to small claims court. He replied “I can’t be taken to small claims court, I’m a business. I can only be taken to Montana Business Court.” This is not a real court and businesses of all kinds can be taken to small claims. This again shows Don’s problematic (and frankly idiotic) attempts to gas light residents about the law. Unfortunate for Don, I had time. Once I formally threatened the company with correct citations for the applicable law they immediately relented. I feel bad for this company because some of the employees were actually a delight to work with. The first employee that actually showed me the property that I rented was extremely professional (no pun intended) and helpful. (I believe her name is Natasha or Natalie?) However, the leadership of this company seem to be running it into the ground with their shady business practices. I noticed Don mentioned in a number of these reviews. I am hoping that whoever owns Professional Management learns of this and takes appropriate action.
Experiencia negativa: Sadly I can’t give you guys a 0, so here’s your one star I guess. Professional management has nonetheless proved once again to be a group of scam artists and crooks. Throughout our 2 years of living at our apartment with them, simple maintenance requests were a pain in the ass. They wonderfully scammed us moving out. We throughly explained and had an understanding that we would owe in property damages and upkeep moving out as we lived there for a while, the apartment was already a crap hole to begin with, and we have an autistic toddler that made keeping things tidy a bit difficult. Despite this, professional management kept our entire 1500 dollar security deposit, sent us a bill for 800 dollars, including charges for installing “new things” in the apartment, fixing things we requested they came in and fixed themselves WHILE we lived there, and things like “stickers on ceiling”, which is a bunch of crap. 420 dollars of that bill was for rent and utilities, which we completely paid in full when we wrote our letter with our move out date and signed proffesional managements move out paperwork. Per the words of Don over at professional management, they magically “lost” all of said paperwork and decided that they would charge us for vacating the property half a month past our move out date. Despite efforts to come in and have a “professional” conversation with Don, he decided to be rude and not “look” at our copies of all of our signed documentation because he didn’t want to play “he said she said”. We were prepared in office to work with you guys and pay all money we owed for property damages then and there despite the crooked and far fetched charges. Don, your words stating that you would get back to us within a few days and look through our file to find the paperwork you happened to lose, unfortunately you fell short. This entire bill was sent to collections in a matter of a couple days before we even had time to attempt taking them to court, we never even received a call back. Please don’t ignore the rest of the negative reviews on this page and hope for the best. Do not rent through these people. They’re rude, they refuse to communicate like adults, and will completely screw you for all your money, because that’s all they care about. Please heed caution, their only goal is to dig more money out of you, not care for any of their properties, and screw you over in the end. We greatly appreciate all of you in the professional management office for ruining a couple of 20 year old, new hard working parents rental history and credit.
Experiencia negativa: I pay 1400 dollars a month and these people can't even replace the AC that is broken. When I Called them They told me that I was not the only one with broken AC. Well, why is that? Do they put crappy ACs all of their rentals? Why can't I live comfortably for $1400 a month? I am in a trailer that is 90° right now. If I could give no stars I would. They don't deserve the one star I was allowed to give......1400 DOLLARS A MONTH!!!!. 2/3 OF MY INCOME DOESN'T BUY CRAP. Sorry but they r feeding on our desperation to just be able to live in a home. No conscience No empathy. Don't care but for the almighty DOLLAR.
Experiencia fantástica: I rented from Professional Management from spring of 2021 to May of 2025. Everytime something wonky happened the maintence/office staff were quick to help, send someone out or call for followups. I never had any issues other than maintence things while living here. Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT from Professional Management! They are a bunch of crooks who will do anything to scam you and get a extra buck out of you. Me and my family lived there for 3 years and when it came to moving we paid for out last month's rent and gave them a month notice. 2 months go by after we move and we get our final statement and they claimed to not have any paperwork or documents stating we gave them a notice and when I went to give them my copy of the notice that THEY gave me they denied me. So they're currently trying to come after me for rent money stating we lived in the apartment for an additional 14 days after out notice. I now understand why they're being sued by so many people. Ill be adding to it.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Super UNprofessional and shady. They harassed me by doing constant walkthroughs, at least twice a week. Very rude anytime I called to ask a question. First red flag should have been when we first applied for the house I gave them the applications fee of 70$ and they tried to tell me I did not. They then doubled the security deposit. They also had posted my house for rent while I was still living in it without telling me. My friend had asked me if I moved out and that’s how I found out. When I went to them about it they lied and said it was not posted and it was deleted shortly after, this happened twice. My car then got stolen from my driveway and when I went to them asking if there was a different house I could rent out the lady was very rude and told me they “don’t do that” and I’d need to go through a different property place and hung up. When it came time for me to move out the guy who did the move out walkthrough kept saying “I understand your height is a problem for you but that needs to get clean” his words exactly. He was very rude and very offensive towards me and my height. Which is super weird. I spent a week cleaning that house top to bottom and even took before and after pictures. They didn’t even give me half my security deposit back and put in a lot of false reasons for only giving me a small amount, mind you I have pictures of before and after. They were very rude and short with me when I called. I do not recommend going through this property place.
Experiencia negativa: Rented from them for over 6 years and was only late on rent once. We wanted to move into another property they offered and were told no that it’s company policy to not rent 2 different properties to the same renter consecutively. Just seems like an around the bout way of telling their renters that they don’t care and to just get out. They told us we would have to go rent from someone else and then reapply with their company…. Why would anyone want to after being treated like that? Very disappointing to have to completely change rental companies and they will not be receiving any more money from us.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give them a negative five, I would. They kicked my co-worker out after many years of renting. At first I thought there had to be a reasonable explanation (not just the property management). However, I have heard from others that the same thing has happened to them. Honestly, I believe that they are just doing this to get higher rent after slapping average work on them. Even better, call them luxury apartments or “affordable”.
Experiencia negativa: Very unprofessional! I followed all guidelines for cleaning and moving out within 3 weeks of receiving there 30 day notice of terminating me. Did a walk through of what was needing cleaned that I missed and was told I didn't pass the 2nd walk through, eventhough I know that I cleaned everything and made sure that it was done properly and well. I will never rent from them again. I am very disappointed I took the time to do a really through cleaning and was told that wasn't good enough.
Experiencia negativa: I had a showing at a property earlier today. I asked typical questions inquiring about the property. The individual who showed me the property was extremely rude and had little concern about me as a prospective tenant. On top of that, she had the audacity to ask me if I wanted an application after she was extremely rude to me. I will NEVER apply to live in a property under this organization. If the showing was a terrible experience, I can only imagine what it is like to be a tenant.
Experiencia negativa: I'm a tenant under professional management. They are extremely unprofessional contrary to their name. They do not care about tenants and treat you extremely poorly. If you're looking to rent from them, I strongly suggest you do not.
Experiencia negativa: Actual owner of the property of the place we rented for 6 years, asking us to possibly buy. Said either way we were safe and not worry, he then raised rent, a month later kicked our family out stating he was moving back in. 10 days after that we received a letter stating we could stay but had to sign a 1 year contract with rent almost $200 more. We had already found a place and had moved out by the 4th of June. We did the walk through with these people,gave us a list of what still needed to be cleaned, we spent 5 hours doing what was on the list. Then we get our itemized summary with these "professionals" claiming we didn't do any of it and added utilities that we didn't use , 533 in rent 500 in cleaning and 500 in carpet cleaning. They are lairs and horrible rude people who never call you back. They are always inconvenienced by you needing a thing. DO NOT RENT THROUGH THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT
Experiencia fantástica: In hindsight renting from them was actually really easy. I could communicate issues with them and I've always received full deposits from them as I took care of the place and cleaned well. I will rent from them again.
Experiencia fantástica: The staff were very helpful and nice during our rental process. They quickly got our application processed so we could get the place we loved. The lease signing process was super easy as well.
Experiencia fantástica: Experiences with property management companies may vary. However, as a longstanding tenant that hasn't caused any issues for the management and hasn't had many issues to go to the management with, I feel they are doing a great job. One of the better property management companies I've rented from in Billings.
Experiencia negativa: I'd leave zero stars if I could. They never call back, they do not care if your rental has issues. I called for them to clean out my gutters and they threw the gutter garbage into my yards. They fixed a plumbing issue but used my bath towels to clean up their mess. Fixed a water problem but left the water running. They drag their feet. I'd post pictures if I could.
Experiencia negativa: After losing power in 100 degree weather, they informed us they could not get an electrician out for a few days to restore power (due to the meter panel needing replaced). I expressed concerns about my newborn, and my pounds of breast milk in the fridge and freezer that would spoil and that I didn’t have any options. He said his electrician was already at the bar and I need to just deal with it. He was incredibly disrespectful to me on the phone, and did not even offer an emergency generator. I have never faced such disrespect and lack of customer service before in my LIFE. This is not the first time we have had issues with this man. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They only want your money.
Experiencia negativa: I currently rent from them and I've had nothing but issues for the past few months. They raised my rent 3 months in a row, sent me 2 different eviction notices over things they knew about, refuse to replace my washer even though it leaks and breaks down frequently, they won't fix my oven even though I can't use it, they never call me back when I leave a message either. if I had the money I'd move and never rent from them again. One positive interaction was when I called about water damage, one of the actual managers came down and took some pics and said they would figure out how to repair it all.

DOES NOT ACCEPT PROFESSIONAL ESA PAPER WORK. these people are unwilling to help their renters. So glad I got denied. All staff is extremely rude. Does not like to explain their company. Don’t use this company.
Experiencia negativa: This company definitely does not stand up to their name “PROFESSIONAL “ . I have experienced continuous harassment from my neighbor since the day I moved in and reported the issue several times. I also was once nude under a blanket and a man came to inspect my house and did not allow me to get dressed… instead I was told “no point this won’t take long” . After this situation I was sent an apology letter and a $50 gift card, STRANGE?!? My kitchen sink also wasn’t running and I had to use my bathtub to wash dishes because it took them a week to come fix it . Glad to never have to deal with this company ever again. Just completely UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
Experiencia negativa: Applied through these folks twice. Dealt with different people both times, I assume their turnover rate is extremely high. They are unfair in their process for finding renters, their rent is ridiculous for what it is. They are truly out for your money, and nothing else. I have several friends who say the same thing. Coming from a respectful and valuable tenant, who adheres to all the rules and doesn't miss rent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There are WAY better options in town to rent from that will treat you fairly.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Absolutely the worst company. My boyfriend and I viewed a place, turned in our rental applications that same day with the fee. We told them that we had the deposit ready. They took 5+ days to run our credit and check every single landlord we had been with. Just to turn around, say we were accepted and that they already rented to place out to someone else. After all that hassle. Do not use this company.

They were quick to fix anything with the rental, would give us a heads up about yearly maintenance and when people would be coming out. When we had a walk through before moving out, the gentleman was great about helping us know about anything we could fix so we wouldn't be charged. We got our full deposit back. Again, really great experience and great rental to live in.
Experiencia negativa: It's too hard to get into these places. If you've ever struggled in life, even if it was 10 years ago and you've worked hard and fought to change things, you likely STILL won't qualify. They make you believe you're able to get a home from them until you pay the fee. They may even let you look at properties (like they did my sister), but once that fee is paid, everything completely shifts. Basically if you've ever been sick , hot behind, and been evicted , you have no chance don't bother. If you made financial mistakes in your youth that you're fighting to fix. Don't bother. You won't qualify. It's unfortunate. I wonder if they are aware how many families they could've helped.

Showed up to a showing got an application filled it out turned it in same day, paid $35 dollar application fee, emailed them all the documents, offered to pay up to one year in advance rent, waited about 3 days...called them only for them to say they rented out the unit and that they never even processed my application and I get a refund on my application fee. Why did you have me do all this emailing and running around for absolutely nothing. Then rude and imo should be called UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT INC. never again!
Experiencia fantástica: Truly one of the best rental agencies in town. They're always very kind and quick to fix any maintenance issues. Their properties are definitely some of the better ones here in Billings. Overall just a very good place to rent from.
Experiencia negativa: This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. They were awful to work with, refused to work with me in any way. I HATED having to associate with them for any reason. However, I will say, the maintenance man was great. Always on top of fixing any and everything I needed in a timely manner. But the people in the office were terribly rude and had very poor communication. Every experience I had with them was as difficult as possible. They refused to work with me on any requests. Not having a lot of hope for getting any of my deposit back. If you can go somewhere else.. DO!
Experiencia fantástica: I had to move from out of state up to Billings on very short notice, in order to start a new job, and the team at Professional Management was so helpful! They were very quick to respond to my emails and worked very hard to get me through the rental process as quickly as possible! I can not thank the team enough for all of their hard work in finding me a home. I am very happy and grateful for the service they provided me.
Experiencia negativa: I’ve dealt with some poor landlords and rental companies in the past, but never have I had to be on defense as much as I have with professional property management. Everytime the phone is answered someone has an attitude and it’s like fighting tooth and nail to get what you need from them. Not to mention the fact that they’ll openly accuse you of vandalism and threaten to make you pay for it without video evidence or even solid evidence at that. A word of advice to your renters, please focus on building good relationships with us. Take the time and do better. We’re not just business transactions.
Experiencia negativa: Lived at one of their properties for about a year and a half. We constantly had to ask them for maintenance which they were hesitant to do. The most frustrating ordeal was during the initial stay at home order in the beginning of 2020: they had the roof replaced and tree removal come all without telling us, and then we were charged for the damage they left. Oh, and the company they hired for tree removal catcalled and harassed me in my own yard, and did nothing about it when I informed them.
Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointed. I rented with professional property management for over a year and took extremely good care of the home. The yard was garbage. The garden space was completely overgrown with weeds and I spent hundreds of dollars on fertilizer and soil and many many hours to bring it back to life. When I moved out, I left the home in better condition than when I moved in. They asked me to write a good review for them, which I would have happily done.. until I received my refund of my deposit in which they refunded 21.00 of my $885.00 deposit. I hired a professional carpet cleaning service and spent two entire days scrubbing every inch of that place. When they sent me a list of the things that "still needed to be cleaned," I attempted to contact them to discuss it. EVERY. SINGLE. ATTEMPT to connect was blatantly IGNORED. I'm so incredibly shocked and disappointed at the blatant robbery. If you can avoid renting from them, do so. If you have no other option, don't expect your deposit back.
Experiencia negativa: This company should not legally be allowed to call themselves "professional". We rented from them for nine months before they nicely sent us a letter in the mail informing us that they would be sending a realtor over and that the house would be placed on the market. No phone call or anything to let us know, just a letter four days before hand that we would basically need to be moving. They told us that no one would be able to see the property until after we moved out but that was a lie as two different groups saw it while we were still living there with a realtor. After giving our 30 day notice we contracted COVID and were struggling to get everything out of the house. I called the company explaining the situation and that we would need someone to come help us get the washer and dryer out of the basement but that we would have everything else out of the house. Their response was that we would need to keep paying rent until every last thing was out of the house. So I had to have my parents help us move the washer and dryer while I was still supposed to be quarantining. At the move out inspection they treated us like criminals, acting like we had trashed the place when it was just as good or nicer when we moved out. They then tried to steal over $400 out of our deposit since they messed up which day we had given our 30 day notice on and were incredibly rude when trying to get the money back. The only two things they are good at is trying to take your money and incompetence. One star for decent rent pricing.

Lisa asked me 3 times the same question within 1 minute, which I answered all 3 times, the 3rd time when I explained it to her she got irate, yelled at me and used profanity towards me, threw papers off her desk and slammed her chair against the wall. All in front of the owner, who did absolutely nothing but told me they wernet going to go through with my lease. I recorded the entire thing to prove I was not in the wrong. What a complete waste of a business. I feel sorry for whoever has these unprofessional people rent their property's for them.
Experiencia negativa: I feel like they just took our money. The lady that showed us the house was not friendly and acted like she was being inconvenience. We have good credit and can pass a back ground with no problem. We jumped through their hoops. We gave them all our information. I called on Friday to follow up. They never called me back. Then a few days later they called my boyfriend and told him they rented. That is totally fine but their was no follow up like hey we have other properties would you be interested at looking at them.
Experiencia negativa: I have been here for 6 months on a property and have asked 3 times to cut the limbs to the trees, filled out a request at the office and no one ever came. I called the office twice to check the status on the service I requested and was told they would have someone come. I had a storage put in front of my trailer because no one ever came to cut the limbs. It said in the lease and from a worker that they cut the trees and limbs. Now they want to evict us because of the storage. What do you do
Experiencia negativa: They rented to my son on two occasions. On the first one, they took his full deposit because the nasty apartment wasn't clean enough. I helped him move in and move out and I know it was significantly better when he left than when he moved in. (pretty sure the owner never saw that deposit). On the second home, he had to wait for it to be cleaned due to water damage. Ironically, the water pipe broke on my son. They kept two months of rent (again, I bet the homeowner didn't see a dime). When they sent us the bill, it magically matched two months of rent. This is the most disgusting way to take advantage of people. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Experiencia negativa: I moved into a property that needed so much work and smelt awful but I needed the place so I decided to clean. I took pictures and videos of how the house was when I moved in and when I moved out it was in way better standing. I get a letter that am I not only NOT getting my security deposit but i owe them. My mother and I scrubbed and cleaned. There were so many things BROKEN that I put in my inspection. The carpets that they said were shampooed when I moved in weren’t and smelt awful. And I requested for them to come in and do it. They never did. So now they are charging for me to get it done plus other things. Please look at other companies for renting.
Experiencia positiva: It's a small business. If you're expecting high end, ritzy, serve you at your whim renting, this business is not for you. Go to some corporate owned complex instead. Granted, it takes a while for lawn maintenance and non-essential repairs. But that's ok. They have a small staff and large inventory. Deal with it and wait your turn. The times I've had an emergency maintenance issue, they have been responsive within minutes and on property as soon as they possibly can, even after hours. They are obviously stretched thin staffing wise. It's a small business. Have some patience. Been renting for four years in the same spot. The only complaint I had was a lawn mowing issue. Which was not only resolved but resolved for future seasons. EVERY time I've worked with the office staff and maintenance crew whether it's a busted fridge or just paying my rent, they've been down to earth, hard working, and to the point. I have been offered to move somewhere else in town and won't. I do wish the property owners would be more pet-friendly. However, I'm finding that the norm in Billings. It's difficult to find an apartment or house to rent that allows pets. I'm grateful that the owner of my building allows pets.

They are a very good property management company and have had no delays on maintenance or any other home issue. Thank you for the two years of hassle free renting, I will promote this company to any friend or family that is looking for a house.
Experiencia negativa: Their name must have been chosen out of irony, because never have I dealt with a company that is more unprofessional than Professional Management. They don't respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner (if at all...I made multiple requests that were never answered at all). They will lie and/or deny things they have previously told you or worked out with you, so if you do go through this company, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING or they WILL take advantage of you. When I pointed out to one of their managers that I had turned in multiple requests for maintenance issues that had gone months without being fixed, he deflected and said it wasn't his fault instead of stepping up and asking how he could help. PLease save yourself the aggravation and go with a company that actually cares about the tenants they rent to.
Experiencia negativa: Eric Nelson they did they same thing to us(rented the house we were applying for without telling us, at least not until a week later when they said we were approved but they rented the house). We are patiently waiting for our lease to be up. I have never been overcharged this bad for things in my life. I am not happy with they professionalism at this office. The secretary has been the nicest person We have delt with. Everyone else not so much. They have lost a check of mine and the pittly charges for everything are outrageous. I could go on and on about our bad experiences but I am not going to. All I know is We will NEVER rent from nor recomend this company EVER. They get 1 star as I can't leave it blank. I will say they have been timely on fixing a few things but I wouldn't rent from them again

I fell in love with a 3 bedroom condo and they are being very helpful with me while i await the process. The girl that is at the front desk has been so awesome with me when I call even if I called yesterday and was there dropping off my application.
Experiencia negativa: This business does not deserve a single star based on my experience with them. The only reason I would consider a single star is for the fact that the employees who showed us the properties were very kind and helpful (and there is not an option for zero stars). My family and I went to their office to fill out an application for a property we were interested in. My first impression of the place was not good, since the office was filled with employees who seemed to be doing nothing besides chatting to each other and standing in our way. Though, our experience was not too bad until we met with the woman who was going to review the application we had yet to fill out. Before we had an opportunity to show her any supporting documentation to verify income or rental history, she frankly told us that there was little chance that we would qualify and that we were wasting not only our time but hers as well. I tried explaining to her that if she would only look at our tax returns she would see that we had more than sufficient income to pay our rent. She then countered that she doubted we would have the necessary rental history to qualify. I told her that I had two years of rental history. At the end of our conversation, she said that we could apply if we wanted to but there was little chance of it being approved. We decided we were not going to waste our money on application fees if it was useless to do so. We also decided we are never going to do business with this establishment. If this nightmare of a woman has done the same with other potential customers, she is a serious problem that Professional Property Management should deal with.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give this company 0 stars, I would.Over the course of living at a property rented by them, we have gone in several times to the company to state what what wrong/needed fixing while we were living there. They did NOT once come by to repair ANYTHING. Now, since we moved out they have kept all of our deposit money and are wanting over TWO THOUSAND more in damages?? I cannot believe this company is still around. Good thing we have a great lawyer who will be looking into this scam of a company.
Experiencia negativa: I only give one star because I can't give zero. I'm so disgusted with this place. We rented from them for 2 years, always on time with rent, never late. Took care of the property very well. Got evicted for no reason .Left it better than when we moved in and they still took $900 of the deposit for the cost of propane from 2 years ago!! When it was $3.04 a gallon back in 2014!! Very disgusted with this place! They will look at every opportunity to screw people over.
Experiencia fantástica: Rented for around three years with this company. Was fortunate enough to be able to interact directly with the landlady and a few of the employees of the company. Any issue with broken equipment was handled, and when I moved out was given my entire deposit back. If I ever need to rent again they are definitely on my list. Will try and get my landlady back as well cause she's just awesome.
Experiencia fantástica: We LOVE PMI they are always up front with us, timely with notices. They worked with us when we wanted to transfer to a different property, they where very fair, sure they charged us some cleaning fees, sure we where probably to busy to pay attention to the details they pointed out to clean before charging us. We pay our rent on time ask for repairs when needed, we take care of our rental like we did when we owned our house. Compared to any of the competition in town they are hands down the best rental company to work with. Thank you for being reasonable with us.
Experiencia fantástica: I've rented 3 places from Professional over the years and I've been extremely happy with them. My most resent house went up for sale and Jim (the owner) personally took me out the very next day to show me two properties. I was surprised at how well they helped me find a new house. They made the process extremely easy and pleasant. I've never had a single complaint!! Plus most of my maintenance requests have been handled within 24 hours. As long as I'm renting, I'll be going through Professional Management.
Experiencia fantástica: Many property management companies experience poor tenants and then get slammed online for not giving back the deposit when actually it was the renter who did not clean or fix the damage. PMI always responded to any issues we had quickly. They returned ALL of our deposit, I repeat all of it. Wow ! Sure we did clean everything thoroughly and even had the screens replaced. If you treat the rental as if you own and leave it move in ready they will treat you fairly. I can't say that about other companies in town. We reckoned them highly. The staff is friendly in an industry that would make anyone cynical and jaded. Congratulations for changing my view of rental companies and I hope others will follow your example.
Experiencia negativa: All we as a family have to say is that living in a trailer that was threw them for over a year was the worst experience anyone could go threw. Our rent was 675 which we paid to them 800 cuz we also paid water thinking we could get ahead and stay ahead ya nope that money never got pushed over so they probably pocketed the money. Also when we called and told main manager there at professional management that our trailer was being broke into and would like New locks well that was another no they could care less our door was kicked off hinges tons of damages were done to the place cuz of previous break ins we fixed it all they didn't do a damn thing. On top of it all we had a huge major gas leak and had to evacuate cuz our family was getting sick and our two small children got really sick and we called mdu they came out well they just shut off our gas and said professional management would come fix the pipe change it out tomorrow well they never did. The next day we got An eviction notice and until we moved they never came to fix the gas it stayed shut off till we were moved out. The people there are horrible and they don't care if you have problems would love to treat them like they did us and see how they like it.
Experiencia negativa: I want to warn anyone considering renting from this company. We rented a house for two years. We did notice that many repairs went undone: there was a horrible storm and the company tried to make an insurance claim, which was denied, so they simply never repaired the paint or the screens and windows (one broken window had a piece of thick plastic taped over it the whole time we rented the house!); we turned in half a dozen requests for pest management due to spiders and bees that made our life miserable and their response was a guy with a can of Raid, only to charge us to clean up all the bee and spider debris when we finally moved out. When we moved in the house was pretty dirty (I cleaned the carpet upon moving in, changed the stove filters at my own expense, and had to remove dog waste from the yard). The yard had fence and tree debris that we were promised would be removed. The debris was still there when we finally got fed up and moved out. We were late paying rent one time (by only one day) in two years. When we moved, they sent us a bill that blew my mind. I cleaned the place until it was in much better shape than when we arrived, and I agreed to pay for some things I acknowledged responsibility for (a small hole in the plaster we made for one), but the list of expenses included things like new screens (half the windows never had them, and the storm tore up the few that were there!) as well as charges for cleaning appliances that weren't even in the house. They kept all our deposit money plus sent us a tremendous bill. The bad report on our credit has cost us other housing options, so I have decided to take the company to small claims court. Thankfully, I had many friends help me move both times who are willing to testify to the fact that we are clean, responsible folks that left the property in better condition that what we took possession of minus the few repairs we agreed to pay to have fixed. The worst part is that after they sent us a tremendous bill, they changed it to an EVEN HIGHER AMOUNT when we complained and claimed it was a "revised" list. It included things like new MATCHING light bulbs and a cover for a plug receptor that was missing when we moved in! So, please be cautious; photograph everything if you decide to gamble on Professional Management!
Experiencia negativa: After reading plenty of negative reviews, I've decided to put my two cents in. I've lived in the same apartment downtown for over two years. In that time only once has our rent increased, when our sink in the bathroom needed fixed they came and fixed it (poorly) until finally conceding and putting in a new faucet. I heard so many bad things about professional management before I moved in but decided to give it a try and am glad I did. I don't plan on moving out soon, but do anticipate the move out experience to be like any other management company. Follow up... upon moving out 3 years later, never once having any complaints against me, cleaning the apartment better than it was before I moved in, being assured I wouldn't be charged for rent since my move out date was a sunday... well lets just say their "practices" are quite sketchy. I did a walk through with Don, who didn't mention things like blinds (that never were hung right so they hit us in the face everytime we tried to use them) but they had no hesitation to charge me $70 for "missing" blinds, charged me over $130 in cleaning fees ( I was provided a list of 6 things to clean including limescale in the toilet bowl) but was charged for cleaning over 20 items. I took the montana law in there, with all my paperwork and was not met with any arguments at all about being overcharged, was assured I'd get my full deposit back, minus $40 for rehanging the "missing" blinds... well that was over 2 weeks ago, and still no reimbursement. My rating has gone from 4 stars to 1 star. I had credits on my account, was late on rent ONE time in 3 years, and was treated like total scum upon my move out. Be sure to take photos of everything upon move in and move out, also know your rights as a tenant, they seem to think all their renters are uneducated & desperate and will try to take all your deposit for whatever they feel the need to take it for. Still waiting for the rest of my deposit back, I'll probably never get it.
Experiencia negativa: Avoid if possible. If you ever have a question or problem, expect to report it, be transferred to someone else, explain once again, and then be transferred elsewhere. Now, your third person with a very annoyed voice will once again ask why your calling(and wasting their precious time.) They will get all your information, and make a quick escape with "I'll give you a call back." Never once on any occasion have I received a call back. After giving my notice to vacate I ended up with only 15 days of rent on my last month. I did the math and sent in the prorated amount. A week later I get a notice to vacate because I didn't pay the whole months rent. Trying to get them on the same page got me into the phone loop reported above, and eventually never a call back(Thanks.) Moving out, was another fun story. Like another reviewer below they did a walk through, showed me the few "problems" and told me I had the weekend to fix it. I bought the needed supplies and did everything they asked to a "T". After waiting over a month for my deposit I had to (after once again finding myself in the black hole of phoning them) stop in. They report I had $200 worth of cleaning taken from my deposit. Also, I found out they sent it to the wrong address, I had changed it with them at the walk through. They told me I should go to the post office and track it down. Thanks for nothing, being free of this company is worth the 200 dollars they stole from me.
Experiencia negativa: This company deserves one star - not any more or any less. The company took our call about the property and told us there was an opening at 11:30am the same day, which was very nice. When we arrived early, we waited for awhile before other groups started showing up. At first it was only one other group, but eventually several others started showing up. After this, the property manager showed up. She let us in, and gave just a few little tidbits. She was disorganized and unprepared, telling us the house would be ready after "a week or so" and then telling us an approximate date of the same day we were looking at it. After realizing her mistake, she corrected herself and gave it a week. Later she told us the wrong price for the property. A final low point was that the house really wasn't three bedroom ready as is, but instead more of a two bedroom house. I do not think we will be returning.
