Experiencia negativa: The staff is an unreliable and unprofessional. Expect unclear communication and unclear conversations. I was told I could move in to a unit on the 1st of the month 2 days before my move in day I CALL THEM THEY DID NOT CALL ME and tell me that the unit is not ready for me to move in when I ask them when the unit will be ready for me to move the day anywhere between the first and the 10th They could not provide a date or a time. So when I call them to find out when I can move in, they never have a response. They send me to another provider and it’s a vicious cycle of me calling and calling and calling and getting no clear answers. They told me they could give the deposit back for the apartment, but it was going to take them 21 days to process it back to me. again, if you decide to rent from this company, understand you will get no clear communication unprofessionalism in an overall waste of time. And at this point from my situation, they are just being utterly disrespectful

Experiencia negativa: Probably the worst move in experience I’ve ever had. Had to wait over an hour, after checking in with them multiple times, only to be told that the unit won’t be ready for almost a week. Then I was told they could get me the key to move some stuff in at least, and then took over 45 minutes for that too. Only reason it’s not one star is that the staff was nice enough inside and it was not their fault. Writing this as I’m still waiting for the key. Edit: lowered to 1 star because I still haven’t gotten my key and I’ve been waiting for over an hour and a half. They also told me they didn’t have a restroom. So I’m going to be paying thousands of dollars in rent and I can’t use the restroom after being held up for hours on end?!? Not only is it ridiculous but honestly feels disrespectful.

Experiencia negativa: Nova management is the worst to rent from. I tried to leave their slum apartments infested with roaches and rats, they had crack heads and strangers coming in and out of their building and also wanted people that got into the building at 50 Willard street, Hartford ct , 06105 but still wanted me to pay to break the lease for my safety own safety. I had an allergic reaction from the rats I had to clean up constantly and I sent pictures to their management and they would not peacefully let me out of their lease. I still left and they said I owe them for the rest of the year and sent it to collections and it ended up on my credit report. Please please please stay far away from Nova management. Every other day I found a dead rat in this apartment. Sometimes they would die in the wall and the smell was so bad I had to leave. Also left us with no hot water during winter. Also the elevator would break down and at one point I got stuck in the elevator. Stay away from this place.

Experiencia negativa: Nova Management LLC has been awful to deal with. From January 18–22, I was left with no heat and no hot water, and my apartment fell to about 50 °F inside while it was freezing outside — completely unlivable. Heat and hot water are included in the rent, yet they failed to deliver either. I called and emailed repeatedly and they NEVER ANSWER — except once when they offered a space heater that was never delivered. They promised the heat and hot water would be fixed by 4:00 PM on January 22nd, and that never happened. Their only “solution” was to relocate me to a hotel that doesn’t accept pets, which is useless since I have pets and they refused any real alternative. Under Connecticut law, landlords must keep rental units in habitable condition — including supplying reasonable heat and hot water — and tenants have rights if those services aren’t provided within a reasonable time after notice. Tenants can even procure substitute housing after 48 hours or seek remedies like rent deductions or termination if the landlord repeatedly fails to supply essential services. Nova Management’s lack of communication, broken promises, and disregard for basic habitability put my health and safety at risk. Avoid this company if you value basic services and responsiveness.

Experiencia negativa: This company is extremely unprofessional. They are always a mission to get a hang of because they never pick up the phone and whenever they say they will do something they never actually do. Right now as I’m writing this review it is January 22, 2026, one of the coldest time of the year, I haven’t had heat or hot water for the past 4 days and they have done nothing to either compensate or fix the issue. Keep in mind: I ALWAYS payed my rent on time and heat and hot water is supposed to be included in the rent. Right now my apartment is below •60 degrees with an outside temperature •13 degrees. Right now I’m working on a case with the City of Hartford and Health Department. DON’T do any business with this company, is not worth your time, energy and money. NOVA deserves what is coming to them.

Nothing is done. No help is being given. Nobody cleans the buildings. They got one person fixing four buildings and that one person that’s fixing stuff is not even fixing stuff correctly. nobody cleaning the hallways the hallway smell like piss is homeless sleeping in the hallway people get shot in my building. The door is broken from the outside so anybody can get into the building. I’ve been complaining to the email is calling for months. Nothing has been done it had to take for somebody to get shot for them to want to move me to a different building.. everyday I step out my apartment into this bullshit.. save your self the headache and stay away!

For example, Last Friday I put in a request to get a new mailbox key, My request wasn’t taking seriously, and hereWe are a week later Waiting for the key. In a world where people are losing jobs left and right, It baffles me how no one on the property management staff has lost their job. The level of professionalism is comparable To the social dynamics of a Sea otter. They don’t give a damn about Any of their tenants. I’m writing this With hopes they change their ways before I sue them. My advice to future renters, Do not rent here unless you’re prepared to fight over the most minuscule task. The entire staff has to go.

No trimming of shubery in over a year.Lots of times garbage is not picked up and spills all over parking lot.

Experiencia negativa: This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a management company. Before moving in, I asked Nevelline multiple times if heat and hot water were included, and she reassured me they were — that was completely false. On October 10, 2025, the heat was working, and I reported it right away. For over two weeks, nothing was done. The apartment became unlivable, and I had to stay elsewhere due to the cold. When I reached out for help, Stephanie and Diliana constantly ignored my emails or gave vague, delayed responses. I even requested a rent discount on October 15, which was denied, despite not having heat. They later offered November free only after admitting they had made a mistake. Today October 31,2025 - the heat still is not working . The neighbors and maintenance staff confirmed this heating problem has existed before — meaning management knew about it and still rented the apartment in unsafe condition. Communication is awful, and accountability doesn’t exist. Nevelline is completely clueless, and the rest of the team does not take tenant issues seriously. I’ve since returned my keys and requested lease termination. And to no one’s surprise they are being greedy and keeping my deposit even though they messed up my lease. If you value honesty, professionalism, and basic living standards — avoid this management company at all costs.

Experiencia negativa: This building is a complete mess. There’s trash all over the parking lot mice, and even cockroaches inside the apartments. It’s disgusting and unsafe. I don’t even have my kids living here because I’m scared for their health. Nova Management knows about the problem and still hasn’t done anything serious to fix it. They just collect money. They even tried to offer discounts in exchange for “good reviews.” Nope!! I can’t wait to finish this lease and move out. Do NOT rent here!! it’s a scam and not a safe place to live.

They only send a cleaning lady to pick up the garbage and they don't clean, they leave the worms alive and without disinfecting. It is negligence. Neither the supervisors nor the office employees do their job well... it is the 3rd time this has happened.

Experiencia negativa: The apartments at 166 Collins Street desperately needs help. From you enter the parking lot you can tell the condition of the inside. The outdoors/parking area is in a deplorable condition, lots of trash. The steps to the apartments are dirty and need repairs. The laundry area is full of cobwebs and messy. Big rats live in the heaters you see and hear them, roaches in the apartments, to me this apartment building is in an uninhabitable condition. You can't owe them any rent but they expect you to live that way because people need somewhere to lay their heads, so they don'tcare. They don't care about the renters they only care about the almighty dollar. Shame on you all!!!

Maintenance requests are ignored and you have to harass them to get someone to come out. It took for me to reach out to the health department to get someone out to my apartment to fix an issue. I will never rent from nova again and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: It’s the worst management and company they are very wicked my daughter apartment full a roach and rots , mines too and when she was pregnant she got very sick because her heat not working and there plumbing not working either, her apartment flooded out and it’s carpet she emailed call about the situation no one answered , her apartment gradually drys but it’s smells and moldy, now her baby born her electric sachet keeps burning up everything she plugs in 7 fans, 4 air conditioner, a blow up bed and the a baby swing , we reported it nothing, now my daughter and her baby stays with me because the apartment is not save , the building roof leaks and under the garage was flooding out from the ceiling also , the building is very old and the structure is not safe, the put $4,700 on my daughters rent account saying she used there electricity when we called Eversource they told us it’s 2 apartments on the account they charging my daughter for , this is not a good place to live , they pad unknown bills on your account also and they charge the tenants rental insurance and the person who works over 50 Willard street don’t explain anything to us and she will tell you something and after she tells you something different and say she didn’t say that , my jeep was towed from under there building because she wrote down the wrong license plate number on my sticker and I have to pay out of pocket to get back my jeep because they telling me they won’t pay it they only can reimburse back the money to my rent app I was so stressed out because I had to take uber to go pay for my car ,they have employees working that don’t speak English so we can’t communicate if we have an emergency after hours, this is the worst place to live and I’m working hard to move out

Experiencia negativa: 30 Evergreen building is a disaster. The parking lot and surrounding areas are filthy, full of trash, junk cars, weeds, and poorly maintained. Management raises the rent but does nothing to improve the property. They even had my car towed despite having a valid parking permit that THEY requested and then refused to take responsibility, forcing me to pay the tow fee. Completely unprofessional and unfair. Avoid this place if you value your money and peace of mind.

The ceiling has fallen down in the passage and closet area damaging our stuff, as well, it has stopped raining outside but it's still raining in our apartment and Nova has done absolutely nothing despite calling and sending numerous emails almost two weeks now. They fix nothing... Nothing!

The office does not answer the phone, they do not care if you are days without a functioning elevator, hot water, or if mice are crawling through the walls ! The trees are falling on top of cars & as much as maintenance does their best to help, they can only do so much to make things better. They really need to treat people better & increase their professionalism. The conditions are completely unacceptable

It’s not safe for women and children when strange men comes in to sell drug and prostitution! It’s disgusting ! We gave complain and that resident sibling is still in the building! The elevator is out and the doors are broken! This building smell like urine and Feces ! Condoms in the stairs. Rats and roaches. Plumbing horrible! The super does the best he can but certain tenants are disgusting and they won’t kick them out because of money !

Experiencia negativa: Here is what renting from Nova looks like. Issues in the building that haven’t been fixed for months. No hot water for days multiple times. Roofs leaking in the rain the yellow cause around a planter and a bucket filled with dirty brown water was the solution. Trash covering the front walk way constantly. Mice in the walls and an exterminator who canceled/no call no showed 3 times. Can’t wait to be out of this lease. Was way better with the other company. If they’d let me out penalty free I’d empty my savings to put my family in a better place. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Sometimes they are very busy and you have to go in person to talk to someone but you get what you need from them. My apartment is awesome! My neighborhood is quiet. If you're looking for a second chance and a well maintained apartment call Nova! I know most of the reviews are negative but you have to consider why and find out for yourself. I almost allowed the reviews to determine not calling them. I don't regret renting from Nova at all.

I gave them my full deposit on the 30th of April and was told my apartment building would be ready by the 5/10/25. I’ve been calling everyday being disrespected giving the run around from everyone I spoke to. I even had to show up to the office multiple times to speak to someone on why I haven’t received my lease or keys and no one had any valid answers for me… not one person. VERY unprofessional management. Please please please don’t hand over your money or sign anything that they do not elaborate on their end of deal. I’m so disappointed I have to wait a whole nother month to move.
