If I could leave a zero star review, I would. When families are preparing to get ready for the Christmas holiday, the agent decided to go ahead and deliver their gift early. You have 30 days to move. Because of late payments or missed payments...no. Because of complaints...no. Even though circumstances made this situation, this was a bad time to deliver the news. The staff then nickle and dimed this family. A basic cleaning was all that was needed. Your staff is disgusting with how this was handled. I suggest when renting, do yourself a favor, avoid the headache and find another company.

Experiencia negativa: Well when I moved in there were holes all in the wall. Not a huge deal as long as they dont put it on me. Dishwasher broke but maintenence doesnt fix anything. And when I finally got out of there, they not only took all of my deposit, they also said I owe more due to damages. There was only 1 light fixture that was damaged and I know for a fact that does not cost over $500. Everything else was already there and there are pictures to prove it. And now they will not answer the phone or email or message to explain to me what was supposedly damaged. They are just trying to get as much money as possible

Our “new” property manager, Britni Adam, apparently thinks that one week before Christmas is the ideal time to blindside tenants. How? By sending an email out of nowhere saying our lease will not be renewed. No explanation. No warning. No professional courtesy. Just a cold, impersonal email designed to ruin our holidays. Now, earlier this year, we were forced onto a month-to-month lease. We were reassured by our previous property manager that it “would not be a problem” and to “not worry,” so we trusted them. But it’s clear BG Realty doesn’t value trust, consistency, or basic decency. Fast-forward to a week before Christmas, and they hit us with the non-renewal email, piling stress on top of stress. Let’s talk about the human side: we have multiple children 3 and under. Tiny humans who thrive on routine, stability, and minimal chaos. BG Realty clearly doesn’t care. They drop major life-altering news during the holidays with zero consideration for the fact that we’re juggling small kids, work, and life. It’s not just inconvenient—it’s cruel. And let’s be clear about our record: almost two years of perfect tenancy. Rent never late. Maintenance requests submitted politely, even when they took forever to resolve. We were loyal, responsible tenants. And how did BG Realty repay that loyalty? By treating us like disposable numbers, ignoring basic decency, and creating unnecessary chaos for a family who has done everything right. BG Realty, congratulations. You didn’t just fail as property managers—you actively made our holidays stressful, disregarded our loyalty, and showed zero regard for tenants who have followed the rules from day one. If you enjoy stress, zero communication, and feeling like your loyalty doesn’t matter, sure, give them your business. The rest of us? We’ll be telling everyone far and wide to avoid BG Realty like the plague.

Experiencia fantástica: I would like to not only recommend this management company to anyone looking for a home to rent, but I would also like to state what makes BG different from other management companies. Following a terrible experience with a previous very well known management company in Lafayette that led us to breaking our lease, something I never would have thought I would do, my fiancée and I stayed an entire one year lease with BG, with Rachelle as our property manager. All I can say is… this company cares. From our manager, Rachelle, to the maintenance crews who arrived to help with our requests, everyone was quick to respond and was a pleasure to work with. In the only instance where we had to wait longer than a few days for maintenance to contact us following a request, Rachelle kept us updated with what was going on so that we knew they were working on it. Not once has our communication with Rachelle ever felt like anything other than friendly and helpful. I recommend BG as a management company 100%!

Experiencia negativa: Legitimately the worst renting experience I've ever had. Find an actual landlord not a property managment company. These people are intrusive and our mail got wet for 2 years because they would not come and replace the mailbox. Also requested they fix outlets that do not work and they never fixed them. They are trying to make us sign up for notifications so that they can show the house that WE ARE STILL LIVING IN to new tenants. We bought a house so i asked if they would be willing to let us out of our lease a month early and they said no. I renewed with them twice. I should have just went month to month. I am a landman so i have traveled all over the country and have rented 15+ houses over the years and this is the worst experience I have had. Two days ago some dude with BG showed up, knocked on my door, i didnt anwer right away so he just tried to walk in my house without permission. These people have no decency. Like you cant wait till i move out to show the house? Also, they came in the house to "Inspect it" a couple of weeks ago and went into my bedroom and took pictures. Never again BG. And anyone that I meet who asks me about rental houses i will tell them to stay far away from BG.

Experiencia negativa: Do NOT rent with this company. They hound you by sending multiple notifications that rent is due before the 1st of the month but don’t address maintenance issues. And if you don’t choose to renew your lease they barge in and start taking pictures of everything a MONTH before your lease is over. Needless to say when we moved in the house it was not cleaned with pink paint on the walls from the previous tenants, dirty kitchen cabinets, and decals left on the walls. We left the decals up for 2 years because we were afraid to the pain would come off with it and we would be fined for painting repairs. They invade our privacy by putting a lot box on the door which make it hard to turn the door knob so they can try to show the property with all our personal belongings before even move out weather you are at home or not. Mind you all of our personal belongings are still in our homeand we have no say in it. BG realty is Money Hungry but could care less about the tenants.

Your properties will sit vacant for months. They’ll send you outrageously high invoices for repairs to take advantage of you too. Look for another company that will add value to you as an investor. Not this one that only cares about taking more from you every second they can.

I felt very comfortable reaching out with any questions and knew I would have a response as soon as possible. The process of setting up utilities was something I was unsure about but they were completely set up with one phone call! I would 100% lease through BG Realty again!

Experiencia negativa: I'm not sure about other Realty companies but BG Realty is definitely not the answer. The best part about BG Realty is that my lease is up in a week. I never had to deal with a company with such unprofessional/rude people in my life. The only thing this company cares about is getting new tenants in and that's it. They do not care about the well being of the tenants or the condition the house is in, but believe me they will charge your security deposit as hard as possible. We bought a home and moved out a month before our lease ended and as soon as BG Realty knew that they started harassing us on grass being "too long" (when it wasn't that bad) and other conditions of the home that I never even got to take care of yet because I was still moving into a new home. They would give me 48 hour deadlines to take care of certain maintenance around the house no matter if we were in town or not and if I didn't take care of it then they will hire someone to take care of it and I would be responsible for the charges. When we asked where at in the lease can they give deadlines to take care of maintenance, our "Realtor" Britni Adams threatened that they could just evict us instead. Knowing the type of company this is I'm sure if they did send someone out they would mark up the cost, so that they could've made money off of me. The company will send inspectors to the house without informing me, so random men would be walking out in the yard while my toddlers are outside playing. Plus I once rented a home from BG Realty back in 2020 and one day at the house our A/C stopped working in the middle of summer with my pregnant wife still in the home. To make sure the A/C gets done quicker I hired a local A/C guy I knew and he came fix the A/C no problem and charged me $100, easy fix. When I got with my Realtor at the time for reimbursement they said they could not help me because it wasn't one of their preferred technicians. Okay I guess I can understand that, still sucked though because usually their technicians will wait at least a day before showing up. Then, for that same house before we had our babies we got permission to replace the carpet in one of the bedrooms, since it was gonna be our kids room and the carpet they had was old and dirty. After fixing their A/C for them and replacing the carpet in one of there rooms they took about 75% of the security deposit after we moved out all with bullcrap charges so do not expect to get your deposit back with BG Realty. I'd rather pay more money with a different Realty company than ever use BG Realty again. Also, good luck trying to chat with someone face to face about problems you have, because they keep their office locked on Bertrand drive and the realtor's are never there to answer calls. EDIT: In response to BG Realty's response to my review. I do not know the 2 people who's names you mentioned. I only mentioned Britni Adams, one of your employees. And yes you did lease out this property 325 Oak St. in Lafayette to me from 5/12/2023 to 5/31/2025. The owners of the home only JUST NOW put up the property to sell so do not pretend like you never leased this home. You can try to lie and hide your terrible business practices all you want but people will see how bad y'all really are. I have screenshots I can post if you'd like more proof.

Crystal Robin-Racca was in charge of our rental at 411 Harding this past year and their unprofessionalism has made my life a living hell. There were termites roaches and wasps infestations our first months there and later possums in the walls. The exterminators they sent were creepy men. A lot of the doors were broken and even when they sent people to fix them they never all got fixed. They had to borrow my tools because they didn’t have their own and I never got reimbursed when they broke my screwdriver. In February our pipes busted and when she said she’d get back to me within an hour it took them 5 hours later to get to our house to turn off the water. They had me watch their 4 year old while they were fixing it without pay. Lastly I paid a $300 pet deposit and $615 rental deposit initially and only got $275 dollars back though the house was in objectively better shape when we left it than when we moved in. Would never rent from this company again would never recommend. I needed that deposit back in order for basic needs to be met and they have caused me great poverty/adversity due to their lack of compassion and decency. Taking advantage of people like this should be illegal. Criminals. I wish for them to treat people better in the future because if that were on my conscious I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night or live with myself. Ridiculous

She is very easy to talk to and doesn’t make you hesitate to ask questions. Everyone I’ve spoken to is friendly and informative. BG Realty is great and I would definitely recommend them to others. They are very thorough as well.

Random men showing up to my house while I’m there with my children. Never work with this company! This was termite inspection. I was home with my children during this. I was never informed that the termite person was going to come that day being that the original appointment that I was informed about was canceled due to a hurricane. I was never informed of the new appointment until a man showed up to my house walking around. This company is extremely rude and does not care about their tenants. They also charge a monthly fee for maintenance even if no maintenance was used during that month. Never do business with them.

Experiencia negativa: Choose this company only if you don’t plan on ever making maintenance requests! The maintenance guy is poor and doesn’t know how to do his job right. They are now trying to charge me for damages that aren’t my fault, that were obviously issues before I moved here. For instance, I made a request about water that was leaking from my townhouse second floor bathroom to the ceiling of the first floor. They said it was due to the water being on the bathroom floor. Now the ceiling downstairs is water stained. This was apparently an issue with the townhome before I moved here, not me. So why should I get charged for an improper structure of the property or a plumbing issue? Not to mention, the property manager takes forever to reply to anything and seems to not care. When I first moved here, I was very excited, now I’m believing the bad reviews. Take caution and be advised!

When need repairs everything is fix in a timely manner. The mantiene man is good very nice and does such good work so 5 star I give.

Then offering two months free of said service for 5 star reviews, not only for their branch but two other branches of bg reality. Which is in fact illegal. If I could afford to move I would, and I look forward towards the day.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this realty company to anyone. We love our home and have been here for 3 years. This is the ONLY reason we continue to use this company. Do not believe the 5 star reviews, as BG Realty has sent out a mass email to residents offering to remove fees for 2 months in exchange of a 5 star review. Any 5 star reviews left from June 2024 and later are likely due to this. Very unprofessional staff and they take forever to respond to maintenance requests, as there has been no after hours number to contact.

Super spacious and well managed so far, and we've had no issues getting in contact with our realtor anytime we've had any questions or concerns. Absolutely planning on staying here for a few years, so if you're looking for a new home I'd 100% suggest checking out their properties like we did!

They not only took care of the tenant and helped her find another place but are helping me with the tree removal and the clean out. I can not speak more highly of Wendy! She is phenomenal! Don’t care about current tenants ONLY new tenants! Asked them not to tour my space of living until my lease my over (multiple times) & they still DID(MULTIPLE TIMES). **its stated on their lease that after you give them notice that your moving they can tour your home at anytime** I told them i wasn’t comfortable with them touring my space that i was STILL living in & they didn’t care. (literally didn’t know who could’ve been touring my apartment, if it was an enemy or someone that could’ve now come back to harm me because they now KNEW where I stayed) SO PLEASE READ YOUR LEASE FULLY BEFORE SIGNING! On top of that, they charged me for leaving the shower curtain up but NEVER once came to fix any of the things that needed repaired the PROPER way! The Wall socket caught FIRE & sparked in the apartment causing the floor to break & that was NEVER fixed!! MORAL of what im saying is save yourself the stress!

She helped me with a repair situation prior to me selling my condo and went OVER AND BEYOND to make sure it was taken care of. I was able to talk to her on the weekend simply for peace of mind. She sent me the information I needed to get my place sold- and took time on a Sunday morning to do it without any hesitation. She is excellent at communicating to clients in need. It's not always easy to find people in the property management industry as thorough and knowledgeable as Ms. Dena! I am very grateful to her!

Experiencia negativa: Update: The response is misleading since they are holding the payment from October 2023 until November 2023. The service I'm primarily referring to is a $2700 AC Condenser replacement which I'm sure there's more than one person who can do. My experience having them manage my property has not been the best. High charges, holding payments for unclear reasons, pressure to get their guys to do things fast without time for me to evaluate the situation.

Experiencia negativa: I recently had an unfortunate experience with BG Realty & Management LLC. Me and my spouse rented a house from this company and it was located in a cul-de-sac neighborhood, they had a HOA. We loved the house, the move in process was very easy and simple. The HOA complained about our front flower bed every minute they could when it was never maintained while on the market lol and it actually didn’t even look bad. My spouse and I had to break our lease due to unforeseen circumstances, and we agreed upon terms with the property manager and owner. However, when we received the Security Deposit Statement, we were shocked to find substantial charges that were not part of our agreement. The discrepancies in the charges were alarming, and it seemed like they were trying to take advantage of the situation. We left the property in good condition, with evidence to prove it, yet we were being asked to pay for unnecessary repairs and cleaning. 5k worth of stuff they made up! What disappointed us even more was the lack of transparency and accountability in their communication. We had documented text messages confirming our agreement, but it seemed like those agreements were conveniently ignored. The lady Natasha which was our property manager was very rude after breaking the lease. I guess they was mad we couldn’t give them another dollar. While our time with BG Realty & Management started well, this experience has left a sour taste. I would advise future tenants to be extremely cautious and document everything meticulously. It's essential to ensure that agreements are honored, and charges are fair and justified. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale and encourages the company to improve its transparency and customer service in the future.

Experiencia negativa: We used BG to manage our HOA account. I would never recommend using this company for accounting. They withheld valid payments to vendors to punish other accounts. Also lied about issuing payments, and when we had our contract terminated it was extremely hard recovering our own money. Very bad business practices.

Experiencia negativa: i would give zero stars if i could. i’ve rented multiple different houses & apartments over the years & this is by far the worst experience i’ve ever had. The land lord i originally got this house from moved me into a house she had clearly never walked through at all. it was far from move in ready. the air conditioning didn't work, the refrigerator didn't work, & that was just the beginning. The house was falling apart the entire time I lived there & getting someone to come fix anything was like pulling teeth. The original landlord was extremely rude & obviously hated her job. Also, the landlord changed like 3 times while i was living there. By the end of it i didn’t even know who my landlord was but everything could only be done through the website. At the end i sent in my notice to vacate & got an email back thanking me for the notice & acknowledging they received it. The next month I got an email reminding me of rent due on the first. I called to let them know i would not be paying this since i was not living there & gave notice of that. Brandi informed me that she couldn’t find my notice to vacate & i would have to pay the last months rent. I sent her to email of BG realty acknowledging my notice to vacate a month prior & got no response from Brandi. not surprising.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I recently rented a house from BG and the entire process was completely seamless. Rachelle has been absolutely amazing through the whole move in and she is a complete asset to their company. We had a few minor fixes when we first moved in and they got them taken care of so fast I was shocked. We have never had a management company so on the ball with things, it is truly a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend using them if you are looking to get a place in the Lafayette, Breaux Bridge and surrounding areas.

Experiencia negativa: If you’re looking for a place to stay,by pass this place. I could list many reasons why I left but I’ll start by saying Kristy and Michelle are the worst. It was always an attitude or talked down on to. The best manager was ms Dana. Every year they went up on the rent but would complain when you asked to fix something. I remember one time they “forgot to pay the water bill” and woke up with no water. Another time I had an issue with my toilet and we woke up with the materials at the door just dropped off. I was told if somebody had stolen it I was responsible. How am I responsible for the lack of professionalism. No knock no call that it was there. At the time I was working out of town and thank goodness I was home that day. I loved my little apartment and was sad to up and leave but I was fed up with management. I begged for a new stove for years and they couldn’t do that. The guy who came service it told me to short it because BG wasn’t giving me a new stove. He also stated Michelle talked to him crazy also and he didn’t like her because the lack of professionalism. For the most part the apartment building basically needed to be condemned because I found mold in my apartment and I’m several during the showings when I moved. They just paint over the mold and tubs also. So basically if you’re a handyman and don’t mind doing the repairs yourself this is the place for you. The list goes on and on but I don’t want to discourage first time renters. Just don’t move to Rue Royale because it seems they don’t care about those units back there.

This is the most fraudulent, unprofessional , scammers, money hungry, unorganized, thief’s, company ever. This was literally the worst experience I ever had. We were with out HEAT/AC IN FREEZING COLD TEMPERATES in December for about 2 weeks, the owner would not replace the unit instead just played around and kept sending out AC Technician each time it will go out, the AC technician confirm that the breaker box was old and outdated & that a new unit was needed. Also we had a major rat problem, dropping all over the house, we would hear noises at night. The company also inquire a deposit upon renewal which is absurd, you don’t pay a deposit upon renewing a lease, you pay a deposit when moving in. Also if you do not renew the lease, they will then start showing the house to possible tenants while you’re still living in the house. Not knowing if the tenants coming view the home can possibly sexoffenders, kidnappers, thieves, dangerous people, etc. Just letting anyone come in the home while your still living there, putting you and your love ones at danger. Maintenance request can take days to be view or even fixed.They add extra fees , also rent price is not actually price that’s listed on there site. Animals where living next door in a empty. Mostly all there rental house has rats confirm by previous & current tenant that rent from them. Also maintenance or a possibly cleaning service steal equipment from a job that was working for, literally open boxes and took items that was still under my name.This was just a horrible experience ever, all my family & friends knew how much I was stressed out living and renting from this company. Please guys save the headache not rent wit these people.

I viewed the property and chose my unit, Kristi reached out to me promptly. she guided me through her part of the process and by the end of that day I had the key to my new apartment in my hand. it was very clean even all the baseboards and trim were spotless. I'm so happy in my new apartment. thank you Kristi and Crystal!

Experiencia negativa: 1 of the ladies made a mistake on our bill that ultimately messed up the next 5 months after that made it look like we owed over $500 back rent & late fees which it really was less then $150 if the mistake would have not been made or at least fixed once the mistake was found & brought to their attention but it wasn't so we got evicted on grounds of overdue balanced owed which was not true.also many times throughout the year we would tell them about maintenance needed only to get ignored until it got so bad we called our own inspector that left them no choice but to come fix everything needed.I feel they are not compassion for their renters at all,they let repairs go unfixed so long that it ends up costing alot more to fix then blames the tenet for high cost repairs so they can keep the security deposit.people make mistakes it's ok unless you don't fix or do anything about the mistake that was made causing problems for others then it becomes not only unprofessional but really a person who is only out for themselves no matter who pays the consequences for their mistake.

To have a baby and lose $130 for application that was never processed or return doesn’t make sense. Rent elsewhere after calling other realty companies they all do combined incomes but this one “so say “ doesn’t.

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent from this realty group they are scammers and after reading the few bad reviews I regret wasting my time and money. Me and my friends all paid $65 application with the understanding that we could combine our incomes to get the house for the rental price. Different people reached out to me and my friends giving misleading information and took our money and now we have been forced to look elsewhere with extreme homeless situations. I never heard of not being able to combine incomes especially after we found another realty property that will do it for us! But they claim it’s against their policy but couldn’t show me where that was stated! On top of that even if someone did make that amount of income in a month I don’t know who else will stay with n that side of town for that price and neighborhood. Don’t waste your time I’m sure there’s a reason all the properties they are renting haven’t moved yet

When you call they lay out their process, rules and expectations so you kind of get the feel for how this is going to go. ( I hate surprises) Mrs. Denna (Not sure if I'm spelling it right) is amazing and knows her STUFF! I cannot thank her enough for helping me find my "Home Sweet Home!" Everyone there was so nice when I called and was more than happy to answer any of my questions (And I had a ton!) Def. rate this place 10 out of 10!!!!

First and foremost, I called up there numerous times and no one picked up the phone for DAYS. Not hours…DAYS. I eventually got a hold to one of the clerks which had the worst attitude. I was calling on behalf of my fiancé which works at USPS and it’s hard to hear him on the phone because he works in a loud truck. She proceeds to tell me “You’re not on the lease. He needs to be on the phone.” Then hung up IMMEDIATELY. I call again, I put him on the phone and she tells us, “I’ll transfer you to our manager.” Transferred and no answer. My fiancé called again today. And ANOTHER rude lady picked up the phone. He asked a couple of questions about the apartment and I asked a question as well. We got off the phone. She called him back and told ME not to call anymore. First of all, I didn’t even call that day. Secondly, is that how you conduct business? Thirdly, you can’t tell someone what to do with their phone that they are paying for. She acts like she owns the company, which she doesn’t. She was just the Receptionist. I will be contacting the Manager shortly. What a disgrace to have employees like this. If I was the owner I would be embarrassed.

Experiencia negativa: i was interested in a rental property in breaux bridge, and for 1 week of calling and waiting, the girl skylar, said she would talk to the manager and get back to me. 4 days later i called and she said, someone already submitted an app, and they are waiting for the deposit. My mother had called, and the skylar lady, said, "he should've contacted management" and when told that was her job to follow up, she said "well, he can just find another property to rent." im willing to bet she either held the property for a friend, or she just wanted the easy way out. we are 2k miles away with a close deadline to move, and we had our hearts set on this house/property. Because of someone's carelessness, we now have 2 weeks, to try to find another home near the area and near the price, all because someone couldn't be bothered to answer a few questions, and return a phone call. Sad, nowadays, when people don't do their jobs the right way, they somehow can keep their jobs.
