It should’ve been a very simple call to get a reset password link but lady couldn’t understand me telling her my address like five times. Was rude and got an attitude with me when she was the one that couldn’t understand what i said the first five times i said it. accent is thick but she wants to speak fast so i couldn’t understand. I think once my problem was solved i was transferred to an angent that could speak slightly clearer.

They are trying to charge us for a broken door that was broken prior to our move in I have the time stamped photos as well as the filthy home they moved us into. They didnt obviously do a walk thru before hand i will sue and WIN cuz timestamped pics say a thousands words. They will pay us for time missed from work filing fees ect. Not to smart this is a crooked slumlord company I will also file compliants. Your bad NOT MINE! They also wouldnt replace the 13 year old ac unit that ran hot all summer also running up our electric why it didn't affect them no way! Pics of that too Stay far far away from this place the home was in a shity part of Phoenix rotten neighbors and so much more we left after a year it wasnt worth the money or headache. I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS! PLACES LIKE THIS SHOULD BE MONITORED MAKING SURE THEY ARE LEGIT.

Experiencia negativa: We rented from Them for 4 horrible years. They do not care about anyone or anything. They fix nothing. We had huge safety issues is: door hardware didnt work, couldn’t open doors, a/c was not working and caused heath issues and we had outlet explode. They said don’t use power on that wall. Yet they charged 44.95 for haha maintenance. That means they did no maintenance. I expressed this to Shannon. Told her I’m elderly, disabled and fear dying in fire or becoming homeless. Sahannon laughed at me. It is better to be homeless than rent from this corrupt agency!!! Cathy Gomez. Crazy horrible female went from law enforcement to this! Saving lives to distroying lives. They should not be in business!!!
Experiencia negativa: The property management company I'm only giving a one star because our windows are very old and need to be replaced and leak like crazy which makes our electric bill very high and the roof is also very old and leaks every time it rains. We are about to put in a huge long maintenance request for the house itself. We have faucets in the house that also leak which affects our water bill. Utilities are very high due to these problems....but the pool company that they hired, I would give a five-star review to them because they always do a great job on our pool but the actual property management company does not do a great job on upkeeping the house.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. I have not had a working oven since October 15th! I have put in multiple work orders, called multiple times and spoken to multiple people. Sitting here over a month later and still without a working appliance! This is very unprofessional, negligible, and extremely frustrating!
Experiencia fantástica: It was a semi rocky ride with HomeRiver group, but come to find out the majority of my issues were my property managers. I definitely had a couple property managers that were not great. But recently, I have a newish Property Manager named Amber! Who is absolutely amazing. She gets me the answers I need she follows up and I’d say in a reasonable timely manner versus when I wouldn’t hear from my other Property Manager Buffi absolutely ever for weeks or even at all unless the owner needed something. Having Amber as my new Property Manager has been a blessing since dealing with all of that. I hope in the future, they hire more property managers like Amber! She is easy to talk to and she has been excellent to work with! 5 stars for Amber

Not only did the property manager suck but the customer service agents did as well not resolving any of the issues than begging for a five star review when hanging up. Very frustrating and painful all around.

The day I go pick up keys, I find out that there were homeless people camped out in the back. Called up HRG, all I get is "oh, so sorry sir." 1st day renting, and I had to call the cops 2 TIMES!! YES, I'm aware of the area and it's inhabitants. ****Update #4**** Alright, progress is finally made and I have Ashley R to thank for all his help! The septic system was completely backed up for three weeks and after numerous calls, I got to work with Ashley. And just FYI, Home River Group, you need more like Ashley, able to get things done! And he wasted no time calling me back and not giving excuses, he gave results! Keep it up, Ashley, I hope they promote you or give you a bonus! *****Update Bonus****** Ok, Ashley Rabelas rocks! I called in for updating our rent payment and to discuss the homeless encampments behind our home and Ashley handled it beautifully! Ashley needs a promotion and a bonus for being HRG's to your employee. I would like every time I call for Ashley to pick up the phone cause I don't want anyone else to handle my profile at HRG. If HRG needs to have someone training new hires on how to handle business, make sure Ashley is the one doing it. Keep up the amazing work you do, Ashley!

Experiencia negativa: I have been renting with them for 2 years. You can’t get a hold of anyone. The AC unit went out every summer and I live in Arizona. They only would send someone to fix it when I threatened to not pay rent. However they still charger me late fees. Also even when you have all the money in your bank account they say “we never received payment” in an email on the 6day threatening eviction. Guess what, they ignore you and charge you late fees even when you show them proof it was a mistake on their end. Another thing, when my lease was about to expire 2 months prior and be mindful I already been here two years. They ask for a security deposit of $3250 which needs to be paid by the first on top of your rent and there is no payment options. This is an additional deposit from the one you gave when you first moved in. If you don’t, you get threatened again to get evicted. Trust me, you don’t want to deal with these people. They will squeeze as much money as they can up until your last day renting with them.

Their system for maintenance and rent payments doesn’t work half the time, they don’t respond and they don’t care about tenants at all. Guess owners like being screwed financially as they haven’t failed yet. Oh wait, their contracts must screw them over too. This is not just from one bad experience. It’s from every experience. Avoid renting from this company at all costs or you will have regrets. Guaranteed. If I could give negative stars I would.

Still no answer 1 week ago I'm call homeriver they need call me or the second week of 2025 is only business I'll be calling back. After talking to Maurice Martin I was helped with out being tranfer few times and no answer or resolve this now I feel like this has been resolved by Maurice Martin crossing my fingers.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible place to rent from, incompetent, disrespectful, slow, and unprofessional property manager Chris. No one gets back to you in a reasonable amount of time, say 48hrs, if it's something they just don't feel like responding to. It took months to get the filthy HVAC ducts cleaned. They won't provide estimates for normal grounds maintenance or emergency repairs, they just say they're looking into it and don't get back to you until you check in multiple times. I have never met a single maintenance person, nor the property managers, and they rarely clean the grounds, so there is glass and trash all over a heavily populated parking lot. The units haven't been updated since the 80's, they can't even bother to put in a dishwasher (surprising thing not to notice until it's too late), but still charge on the high end for rent. When I discovered a rat infestation in the back utility closet and the attic that was coming inside the house and crawling around my towels in my linen closet, they repeatedly closed my maintenance request, told me it was my responsibility, and then told me it was just the non-existent branches scratching my roof. They didn't care that I had pictures of their droppings, that my connected duplex neighbor saw the rats himself, or that I had statements from the previous tenant of my unit confirming that they also struggled to keep the rats out. I had to send them a screenshot of my lease that they didn't read where it clearly states that pest control is the landlord's responsibility and financial burden. It still took days to get someone out and they only came once, now I just can't use the closet and AZ tenant protections are weak af. I don't call often but when the PM chooses to answer the phone, he blurts out "what??" and interrupts me. Must be hard doing nothing all day. No service is provided here, I'm doing them a favor by maintaining their property, paying their mortgage, and paying them for a job they are unwilling to do. If it weren't so expensive to move and find a rental with a yard, I would have. They include a "Resident Benefits Package" (RBP) that costs about $45-50/mo for a concierge service that you have to hand-hold and is only practical for the first month to get everything connected. They're supposed send a new air filter every 60 days, they sent me the wrong size, and the filters were bent/folded/crushed in a small box. The concierge service couldn't do anything without having me on the phone, so it just added a middle person to the process and I ended up getting everything connected on my own. The supposed benefits to credit building and cheap monthly perks and prizes were not worth the added cost, so I had them remove it, PIA. When I had that package removed, I agreed to purchase my own rental insurance. Due to the delay in this after trying out the RBP for the first month, my rental insurance policy started and later renewed a month after my annual lease. Instead of lifting a single finger to confirm the rental policy term that they already had on file (I have extensive proof of this that they chose to ignore), they decided to just charge me a for rental insurance anyway. They then told me I had to contact their third party insurance verification company to tell them my policy was still active. After jumping through several hoops and getting a confirmation, HRG still charged me and told me that I needed to contact THEIR vendor and get THEIR vendor to contact THEM, because none of these people want to communicate. They didn't even bother to tell me the contact information for any of the internal departments between HRG and the third party vendor I was supposed to go out of my way to connect, like they didn't have a vendor contract and communication on file already. They claimed this was all my fault for not reading the lease, they claimed that regardless of their records showing my active policy still on my tenant profile in their records, that I needed to duplicate the effort and upload it again before it even renewed, just so they would agree not to charge me again. Experiencia negativa: Do not rent from this property management company. They will keep ½ of your deposit even though you clean when you move out. Touch up paint , trash removal is bull. The city picks up bulk items at the curb. They charged me 350 for trash removal. 300 for touch up paint. Burnt out lightbulb, batteries in smoke detectors, .. This firm is not verry nice. Anytime you call you speek to people in a call center not even in AZ... ALL IN ALL. DONT RENT FROM THEM... THEY WILL RAISE YOUR RENT AND TREAT YOU LIKE A SECOND CLASS CITIZEN.. Not to mention this guy down the street who watches your house then brakes in as he sees you drive away to work. Good luck AZ KEEP PACKING

Experiencia negativa: Honestly, has been the most painful leasing experience I have had to deal with. The property sells itself, but my applications process took more than 3 weeks to go through and get approved even though I am more than qualified to rent the specific property. The underwriting team adds a bunch of fees into the lease that they will not be willing to remove even if you dont want them and the service are almost 0. During the application process, I would get one reply every 24 hours and then would have no support or insight in regards to amending the lease. Almost no communication from the underwriting team , which is the only team that is able to help you with you application and lease. Overall has been very stressful situation and I do not suggest any homeowners/leasers to go through this group as their broker. Horribly inefficient

Experiencia negativa: Extremely Unprofessional and Unresponsive (They shouldn't even get the 1star) I have been renting through Home River Group for 2 years now, and my experience with their property management has been nothing short of frustrating. For 8 months, they failed to add property taxes to my rent without informing me. Then, out of nowhere, I receive an email saying I am 7 days delinquent on payments I had no idea about. The email stated I could call and work something out, but no one answers emails, and when I call, I'm told someone will call me back within 24 to 48 hours—which has never happened. To make matters worse, they are now charging me admin fees (almost $200) to coordinate the tax payments, which they completely failed to do for 8 months. So, how am I being charged for something they didn't even do? Now they are starting to add late fees on top of this and are even threatening eviction if I don’t pay. I’m not trying to avoid paying what I owe, but I have legitimate questions and am trying to work out a reasonable payment plan. However, they are completely unresponsive and seem to be mishandling the situation at every turn. This is unfair and shows a lack of professionalism.
