Experiencia negativa: Very bad experience – waste of time and money Dealing with EGL was extremely disappointing. They scheduled a showing, made me go and view the apartment, and assured me everything was fine. After that, I submitted the application and paid the application fees, only to be told after payment that the apartment is suddenly “on hold.” This is completely unprofessional and feels like a scam. If the unit was not available, they should have been transparent before taking my money and wasting my time. I do NOT recommend EGL at all. Be careful before applying or paying any fees.

Experiencia negativa: This company has incompetent employees. I've been having problems for about 7 months with a tenant who lives below my unit. He bangs on my floor because it creaks since these are old apartments where the owners don't invest in maintenance. I've complained so many times, I've sent them videos of the tenant causing disturbances, and Ms. Melinda only responds when she feels like it. First, she told me to contact Alexis and explain the problem to him. When I contacted him, he said he didn't know anything about it. I explained the situation, but it was like talking to a brick wall. Because of this, I've been sending more messages to Melinda, since she's supposed to be the manager at 5440 Harold Way. My wife recently had a baby, and I just had surgery, and we were supposed to be resting, but because of this tenant, we couldn't. He was bothering us from 4 am onwards, and nobody from this company takes the time to resolve this issue or even show up. And Ms. Melinda simply said at the beginning, "Put down some rugs," which I think is so stupid, just to get rid of the problem.

Experiencia negativa: Update. Horrible building service. Nothing is working, no one cares, no one comes to check or clean common areas, but they won't forget to rise up the rent to ridiculous price. Don't recommend to rent from this company if you dont want to live with no light in common areas and no management to contact with. Impossible to contact with anyone. Trying to learn information about listing and no one is answering the phone or messages. Anywhere.

Experiencia negativa: First time I deal with a Worst company ever ‼️ I try to get apartments with them over 2 months they put my application on hold for a month then I send them emails no response ..in till they response !! I summited paperwork but they didn’t move fwd !! they felt me and my family I don’t know who run this business but is horrible service I

Experiencia negativa: The property manager lied to me and said I would one day get a parking spot since spots were limited. So far 2 new tenants have moved in and have been given parking spots before me. They also locked off my patio stating that it violated some sort of code but other people in the complex have access to their patios and bbq on them and use it for storage. Not too big of a deal since I like the unit but this company definitely lacks integrity and honesty. They also take forever to get maintenance done and returned my girlfriend’s security deposit past the 30 days they had to do so. Reply to 7/9 response from owner: I don't have a problem with following state safety guidelines. I have a problem with enforcing them only for me. There are units on the property that grill on their unsafe balconies and smoke cigarettes. You can probably figure out which one but they were also allocated 2 parking spots some time ago. There's clearly favoritism at work.

Regarding the parking space, we would like to clarify that from the time you moved in your unit did not have a parking space. Although we shared with the owner that you were interested in renting a parking space, the property owners, through their appointed real estate agent, decided to rent available parking spaces along with upcoming vacant units. This was an ownership decision, and as the management company, we had limited authority to allocate parking spaces independently. That said, we remain committed to assisting you—should a parking opportunity become available, we will promptly relay it to the owners for consideration on your behalf.
As for the balcony, due to updated state regulations, the owners were required to seal the balconies to ensure safety and legal compliance. We understand this may be disappointing, but please note that the unit was rented with no access to a balcony. We apologize for any inconvenience, but adherence to state law is mandatory in this matter.
Additionally, regarding maintenance requests, in order to ensure the most efficient service possible, we strongly recommend that all tenants submit maintenance issues through the online tenant portal. This method helps prevent miscommunication and ensures that your request is routed directly to the appropriate vendor or technician without delay.

I was pretty frustrated at first, but to their credit, EGL didn’t give me the runaround. They sent someone out within 48 hours and followed up to make sure it was handled. Experiencia negativa: I just rented an apartment with eglproperties and after a week I moved in they said I didn't pay a move in fee and they also were charging me a late fee $95.00, when I tried to contact them they never answered the phone. I called like thirty times in a day and they never answered.

Experiencia fantástica: Very affordable price on their listings, along with solid services offered to tenants! Tenant portal is also easy to navigate. The lease signing process is entirely online so it is rather simple and straightforward, however in my case it was delayed due to lack of communications. I would give a 4/5 but thanks to Alexis’ assistance, I decided to give a 5/5 score. This is my first time renting a place on my own and Alexis was able to ease a lot of my stress. He is the most reliable, thorough, and responsive out of all the staffs! If you ever ran into a problem or have inquiries, look for Alexis!

Amparo and her team has always gone above and beyond for me, addressing any needs or maintenance issues I might have, as well as looked after my mail, helped with security issues and provided quick answers to questions via her direct cell phone number. All the while I’ve maintained a fair rent price for the area. Thanks EGL and Amparo!

Experiencia negativa: My fiancé and I turned in an application for an apartment the same week it was listed and paid $60 each for the background check and credit check just for them to not even bother reviewing our application, nor did they check our credit scores, they never answer or respond to emails, this company is awful and are going against the fair housing act, not even giving us a fair chance, don’t bother with them or their properties.

Experiencia negativa: how often do you increase rent, 6155 fulton building is not under rent control, why the rent are below market. You should increase rent once a year. you have manage the properties over 10years, the city allow you to increase rent ever year. how many times did you increase.

Experiencia positiva: I currently reside in one of EGL's recently developed properties, having commenced my lease when the establishment was less than a year old. Unfortunately, I have encountered persistent hot/warm water issues throughout the past five months. Despite attempts to address this matter, there has been no lasting resolution, revealing a systemic problem within the entire building. The overall quality of the construction appears to be subpar, evidenced by issues ranging from thin bathroom walls and doors to low-quality flooring. Noise disturbances, both from above and below, have been a recurrent problem due to the inadequacies of the building materials. Additionally, the close surveillance conducted by the on-site resident manager is disconcertingly invasive. Excited for my lease to end!

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled a visit for an apartment with them and nobody showed up. I had followed all the steps that were sent to me to confirm but nobody came and nobody answered any messages or phone calls. I also left voicemails when I was there and no one has called me back. I do not recommend renting through them because you will just be wasting your time standing outside of an apartment with no one coming to show you the apartment so just save yourself some time.

Experiencia negativa: STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! Maintenance department takes MONTHS to schedule repair requests. I currently have a leak from a pipe under a sink they installed but they've been ignoring my requests ever since. After the sink was installed, their tech guy said he was leaving to go get equipment and come back to fix the pipe but never showed up. When I asked the maintenance department about him, they told me he said I kicked him out because I have a flight to catch whereas what I said was "I prefer today over next week cause I'm traveling next week" so I was just sitting at home waiting for him to come back but he never did. Also, this was not the first time someone from their behalf lies. I’ve caught them in endless lies twisting what I say and telling the property manager something entirely different from what was discussed! They also never answer their "emergency line" and even if they do, no one reaches out to schedule you. Now I’m traveling in a couple days, the apartment is at risk of flooding and no one is answering their phone. I understand it’s a holiday but an emergency is an emergency. What a shame!!!
