Violated our lease on several occasions, including unexpectedly entering our home without proper notice. They will charge you random fees for “services“ you will never receive. They are so bad our landlord dumped them before our lease even ended.Terrible communication. Terrible customer service. I would give them negative stars if I could!

Experiencia fantástica: Truly wonderful Landlord (Tom), and absolutely phenomenal Tenant Relationship Manager (Vania). Vania is Godsend for sure. She has been such a great help to me. I’m very thankful to the Lord for her! Also, their Meld service is fantastic. I am not the kind who submits repair issues unless I really cannot fix something myself. But, whenever I have submitted a request, I’ve had the best service possible. Good company, good people!

Experiencia negativa: The vendors used to fix our issues are great but the century 21 teams communication is below terrible. It took them 5 weeks to get a fix for our garage door approved leaving us without use of our garage for over a month. They’re never return calls and routinely ignore messages

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give this company 0 stars. Can't believe how poor and unprofessional the management here is. We have experienced two major issues, first with our AC in June & then months later in winter with the heat, and despite attempts to contact this building management multiple times over several WEEKS, no one helped. The temperature inside our home got up to 82°F in the afternoons for 28 days and this is obviously an immense health concern. Absolute disregard for their residents and their well-being. Heating and AC are the most basic of "amenities" and when I asked to be reimbursed for the part of the month in which I had no AC or heat, they had the audacity to tell me that I owed the entire month, even though I couldn't breathe in my own apartment for the extreme heat. ALSO, the trash hasn't been collected at the property for 3 weeks and garbage has been piling up in the parking lot -- attracting rats and other vermin. It reeks and has begun blocking the spaces around it, so we have even less parking than we did before. I have attempted to contact the management and have heard nothing. *Adding the below text after seeing their response to my above review* There was a part needed for my AC repair, yes, but that wasn't the issue. The repairmen themselves were very kind & professional (to clarify, they're unaffiliated w/ C21 Accent Homes -- they were professional). The issue was that after WEEKS of no AC, rising temps, & my continuous attempts to contact the office & schedule an inspection & repair, no one was responsive nor helpful. In fact, I had put in a request on your "24/7 maintenance hotline" and when the repairmen showed up, they couldn't access the unit that they needed to because it was on the roof -- I requested from your office the roof access form that your team apparently needed, scheduled another day for the repairmen to come AGAIN, stayed home from work, helped them upstairs with all their gear, and EVEN WITH THE "ACCESS FORM" FILLED OUT, they still couldn't get into the roof as it was still locked. Even though Century 21 Accent Homes had promised that it would be open during the window that the repairmen needed it. This happened again like 4 more times, and each time this interfered with my work schedule. So frankly, it was repaired DESPITE Century21 Accent Homes Property "Management" . I cannot stress enough how mind-boggling the unprofessionalism was and is. To go on charging residents a full month's rent after an ordeal like that is nothing short of CRIMINAL. "Several provided ways for residents to reach us" is BS.

Regarding the HVAC concern, our records show that service was scheduled and a repair was in progress while waiting on a replacement part needed to complete the repair. Unfortunately, when specialized parts are required, there can sometimes be delays outside our control, but our goal is always to restore service as quickly as possible.
We would also like to clarify that we manage only the unit, not the entire building. Roof access and trash collection for this community is managed by the community association and their contracted vendor, rather than our management team.
We also want to acknowledge that we did relay your request for a rent credit to the owner; however, after review, the owner declined that request. We understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and we are sorry for the inconvenience.
Accent Homes provides several ways for residents to reach us, including phone, email, and our 24/7 maintenance hotline for urgent issues. We take resident concerns seriously and always aim to address maintenance requests and questions as quickly as possible.

Experiencia negativa: I have rarely experienced the level of incompetence, unprofessionalism, and dishonesty as I did with Century 21 Accent Homes Property Management company. I would not ever deal with this company again, under any circumstances. They refuse to respond in a timely manner, if at all, they are misleading recalcitrant, and uncooperative. Your response failed to address the problems I brought directly to you. This had nothing to do with your claim that my application was declined for the reasons you stated. Your claims were inaccurate; you stated that the screener was responsible for the application, and the screener, more accurately stated that your company was responsible. I was never able to reach anyone to ask questions, your clients are being poorly served. It turned out that your incompetence worked to my advantage as we found a larger and much nicer home, in a more preferable location and the application went through with no problems. I noticed that you have had to lower the price of the home, evidence that you are not serving your clients very well.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointing and unprofessional management. We have been dealing with a serious heating issue during extremely cold weather, and despite contacting the office multiple times over several days, no one took responsibility or provided a real solution. The temperature inside our home dropped to 64°F in the evening, raising serious concerns about how a family with children is expected to sleep through the night. What makes this worse is that we kept receiving automated messages saying that a service request was “completed” and asking us to leave a rating — while the problem was clearly not fixed and the house remained cold. This shows a complete lack of urgency, accountability, and basic tenant care. Heating is not a luxury; it is a basic necessity, especially in winter. I would not recommend this management company unless they significantly improve their response time and take maintenance issues seriously.

From the moment he showed up, Carmine had a calm, professional vibe that made us feel comfortable right away. He explained what he was checking, why it mattered, and never made us feel rushed or like we were in the way. He’s very thorough, but in a good way. He noticed things we wouldn’t have even thought to look at, and he explained everything in a way that made sense without making it stressful. You can tell he actually takes pride in his job and wants to make sure everything is safe and in good shape. On the few instances we’ve needed service, the requests have been responded to promptly and the individuals who’ve handled them have been fantastic to work with - once even returning after hours to resolve the last of an issue we had with the HVAC system. Experiencia negativa: We took great care of the home, yet after moving out they charged us for things like fireplace cleaning (never used), painting, and “junk removal” that never happened. Completely unreasonable and outside normal wear and tear. Very disappointing experience — Avoid this managment company if you are renting a property managed by them.
Experiencia negativa: Very bad experience was in touch with a agent regarding a home they would seem to respond days later which I should have taken as a red flag but no I just thought maybe they’re busy they told me they house wanted someone in by the 22 I spoke with my current home to leave on the 22 instead of the 31 now here it is the 16 and they are now saying it no longer available that would have been nice to know you were even thinking of going with another candidate but didn’t. I don’t recommend using them not professional at all!!!

Experiencia negativa: ***Review update** The review below is the review I posted back in January 2025. I reposted another review in July 2025 because this review had been removed. In my July review I went into more detail about my experience with Century 21. I provided what I saw as pros and cons of the company, detailed the fact that I was contacted immediately after my 1/2025 review and ask to terminate my Owners Agreement. I also mentioned that the below review had been removed in my July 2025 review. The owner Tom, replied to the July 2025 review. A very lengthy response. It seems like my July 2025 review has been removed and the January 2025 review is now back. Very interesting behavior*** Been using Century 21 for about 6 months now. When I initially called to sign up the person I spoke to made me think having them manage my property would be the best experience. I've seen nothing but the opposite. I'm an owner that wants to be kept in the loop on what is going on with my property. I get little to no communication from them. I just see a charge to my account for something they "authorized" on my behalf. The owner (Tom) called me in the beginning when they where getting the property for the first time and told me "you can call or e-mail any time during business hours and we'll get back to you". That was the first and last time I've spoken to him. Even after I reached out to him directly to understand the utility bills I was being charged for. Their management contract essentially takes all of the owners power away and puts them in sole authority for what happens with your property. You can't use your own contractors, you have to use theirs. This might work for some but it is not ideal for me. They mark up and/or pass on service fees to the owners (i.e. fees to change utility bills to 3rd party vendor). E-mail's and phone calls go unanswered. This is my first time working with a property manager to rent my property and this experience has not been pleasant. The only bright spot I will say is that my monthly payments are deposited timely, but I'm also looking at the general ledger on my owners page every month to see what "random" charge will be deducted.

Experiencia negativa: Response: To clarify, I asked for a couple of extra days due to my move in date. There was no good reason that I wasn’t allowed to pay for those days if all you were doing is lining up repairs. As to those repairs and updates, I saw the inspection report and those should not impact my deposit. Some are things that were not addressed or that the owner declined to repair when I reported during my tenancy. It’s funny that the home is being brought up to the standard you want for new tenants when the same repairs were not done for an existing tenant. Update: they forced me out and would not allow a single extra day past 31 May. Only to have it sit there until being listed about a week ago. There was zero reason for them to behave that way. It’s now listed for a more than $200 increase—too high for a place that has original laminate countertops and vertical blinds that don’t function. Terrible management. Poor customer service. Not responsive. Less than desirable maintenance and attitudes.

To clarify, your lease concluded on May 31st as per the original agreement. Following the lease end date, we completed necessary repairs and improvements to ensure the property met our standards for incoming residents. This renovation period is standard practice between tenancies.

Experiencia negativa: Zero stars if it were possible. EDIT IN RESPONSE TO TOM’S REPLY: Tom, you were not on the call with Joe and I and it was not recorded. If so, there was no prompt stating recording took place. I stand behind my review, regardless. My issue IS NOT with the comps. I didn’t even commit to a preferred price - just asked for the likelihood (percentage) my place getting rented for a couple specific prices. JOE CONTINUED TO PUSH, EVEN AFTER I STATED THAT PER THEIR COMPS, I WOULD BE NETTING LESS THAN I PAY FOR MY MORTGAGE IF I DECIDED TO CHOOSE EVEN THEIR CHEAPEST PACKAGE. I STATED THIS IN EMAIL. JOE REPLIED “…you might be right…” WHILE AFFIRMING THAT MARKET CONDITIONS CAN BE UNPREDICTABLE (I know bc I asked if there was potential for that to change giving the upcoming season) , YET DISREGARDED THIS & HIS STATEMENT THAT C21 WOULD BE READY TO CHANGE THEIR STRATEGY IF IT DID. HE STILL CALLED, PUSHING ME TO SIGN. The 2nd time Joe called he led by asking if I were ready to move fwd with signing the property management agreement. I had to remind him that we hadn’t discussed numbers (since he’d emailed the comps). TO BE CLEAR, when I asked if there was a clause in the contract to sever our management agreement IF my property were to remain vacant for an excessive period, Joe said “no” and couched the $500 fee between stating that we wouldn’t let it go that long and asking how much I wanted to rent it for. I then asked him directly if the management agreement would be in effect until/unless I’d pay to end it early in the event of a vacancy, he did the same thing. When I said stated that I being direct and asked wasn’t giving me straight answers, he hurried and told me this wouldn’t work and rushed me off the phone. Joe is hyperbolic, dodgy, and passive aggressive. He consistently does it when asked about anything that’d impede him closing the deal. Specifically, when concerns are voiced. He strategic with it. Ask him a direct question and watch him go. Highlight anything in the contract for him turn it up a few notches. The grand finale? Address the way he avoids answering and *VOILA*. He rushes you off the phone too quick to get a word in. His focus on getting that management agreement signed and QUICKLY is the true star of the show, though. Joe continued to make statements that he showed no proof of (having ZERO vacancies in nearly a decade, etc), made guarantees that my place would absolutely get rented (can’t do that). Tom has never communicated with me outside of his response below. I can’t speak for anyone else, so by all means. Feel free to see for yourself.

For the time that they rented my house, they constantly charged me for ridiculous items such as I got charged over $100 to have someone adjust the feet on the refrigerator (refrigerator had adjustable feet and could have been adjusted by the tenants themselves vs charging me over $100). This was one of many many crazy items I had to deal with. They also stated they would run any repair over 250 by me but during the last month of the lease, they were approving tickets well over 250 without ever running it by me and the items could have easily waited until the tenants moved out. Based on the nonsense they stuck me with, I am questioning if there were actual repairs or if they fabricated that to support themselves and their in-house repair team.

Experiencia negativa: This has been a difficult relationship and, unfortunately, I would not recommend based on my personal experience. The biggest issue, was it taking them two months to get the home on the market. It did not appear to me they actually cared when I cautioned them about taking to long about advertising the home - due to the approaching holidays. They are very process oriented and do not deviate even if it will negatively impact you. I do agree being process oriented is good but, in this particular case, it did not make sense and it created a ton of stress for my wife and I. Also, they have a weird policy about digital locks. If you spend money on expensive digital locks, they will make you remove them and you will pay a contractor to install cheap locks. I hope the relationship improves, and maybe it will in time, or maybe it was a random unfortunate event at the wrong time, but the amount of stress induced trying to get this home listed was too much.

Experiencia fantástica: We found ourselves in need of a rental property manager and were a little stressed about it. We have had pretty bad experiences with the last 3 we had used previously. We decided to try Century 21 Accent Homes, in part because there fixed fees were more reasonable than the percentage rates others were charging. Now, are the perfect - no. Do they deserve 5 stars - probably not quite. But, 5 is definitely a more fair rating for them than 4. And while they have made a couple of mistakes over the last 2+ years, they have always owned up, fixed it and it hasn't happened again. And compared to the last bunch, they are a breath of fresh air. I actually don't have to think about this home. They just take care of it and make the decisions (up to a certain dollar amount) without me always being bothered. No more plumbers calling me sitting outside the property because they called me instead of the managers. Truly awesome. I don't mind being a landlord anymore. And, they had some guarantees about security and unpaid rents with their Gold service. I didn't think much about it until I tenant didn't pay rent for three months. Well, C21 have paid for themselves now with that. Special shout out to Tom. He is really a professional and gets things done. Thanks team and thanks Tom. 4.8 stars!

I had a microwave that sounded horrible and was ready to break down at any moment. I never received a response from the property manager in the beginning, but when Century 21 took over they had a technician and a new microwave to me in a very short amount of time. Friendly, prompt and responsive is the best words to describe Century 21 as property managers. I wish I could take them to my next property.

Experiencia negativa: TLDR Between fights over major repairs, poor communication from the property manager, and half finished construction projects I would not recommend renting from this team. A selection of incidents below. Exceedingly difficult to get major required repairs done on the property I rented from them and the property management team is unresponsive to both property melds and phone calls, often taking several weeks to address needed repairs. I often had to go in person to get timely replies. Roof on house was allowed to leak from July 8th 2019- August 28th 2019. The garage roof leaked my entire tenancy from June 2019- June 2023. The AC is inadequate for the house I rented and the upstairs bedrooms routinely reach 85+ degrees in the summer with the thermostat set to 75. They did provide a single window unit that would only cool one room leaving an entire bedroom unusable for the entire summer. In 2021-2022 I noted a major issue with the plumbing where the water pressure became dramatically reduced to the point that showers were nearly unusable and baths would take over 30 min to fill the tub. From December 20th till April 12th I had to take multiple days off work for no work to be completed other than changing out faucets and some internal plumbing which the plumber stated was not the problem before beginning the repair. The property manager at the time attempted to tell me that it was a 'normal water pressure' despite my prior two years in the house and code enforcement indicating otherwise. It then took till April 4th for it to finally get approved to replace the water main (made of galvanized pipe). This did finally resolve the problem and was clearly the issue all along as the plumber has indicated in the early months of his many trips to the property. The repairs left me with no tile and rough, uneven concrete in the laundry room which was still not repaired when I moved out in June 2023.

I applied online 3 weeks ago, paid the application fee ($50), gave all my confidential information, online application said it's completed but no one get back to me. I called them, emailed them even went to their office to see but nothing. It's like a scam. There is no communication what so ever. Worst experience ever!
