Fantastic experience: I reported a backup waste back up in the building and I called yesterday. They immediately came out and took care of it and then even though we were still smelling like sewage, they came back out today to clean it up and I could not ask for better service I was very very impressed with their service. Jennifer is who the one I talk to. She made sure that they went out and they did what they had to do today so thank you to brought our properties and thank you, Jennifer.

Negative experience: If you ever have to rent thru them make sure its your LAST resort!!!! Horrible response time, horrible customer service, our apartment caught fire at no fault to ANY of the tenants and they could've even help with that. Want there money by the 5th but dont gaf about the people busting their ssa to live there..... Wires sticking out of the walls and ceilings like just a scrappy place that takes advantage of those in need with no shame.

Positive experience: I haven’t had any issues at the building I currently stay in. I’ve had to call maintenance twice and the wait wasn’t long for them to come out. I would say your building is what you and your neighbors make it . If you have trifling people in your building it’s going to be a nasty environment. Thank God my building isn’t like that . Next January not this upcoming January will make 3yrs in my building . They try their best to work with you .

Negative experience: I moved here to start my family and we gave them too extra weeks to get ready for us to move so we waited we was ready to move on the first, but they had us wait. We moved in And found bedbugs we Immediately contacted me sent pictures and all this man came out every two weeks to spray chemicals in my girlfriend is pregnant. I’m scared that we can possibly contact I cancer I took pictures of all the chemicals that they were using told them that there’s a better way they can use a heat treatment, but my son is due 1-3-26 I thought that this problem would’ve been taken care of in September but it’s And it’s still bed bugs I’m going to clean the advocate something has to be done

Negative experience: I used to feel safe here but I don't feel the same vibe. Not having a constant presence of management kinda blankets that feel. Not to mention the fighting family on my floor and alot of people who were here when I came have left. Not to mention that someone just recently stole my door rug with the hall camera just 10 steps from my apartment. A cat who roams the halls and stops and looks at you like you're in his way. But all in all, the affordable rent, location and the friendly longer residents and garage parking will determine time here.

Negative experience: I asked if they could please turn the power back on, its been over 4 days straight, even went to their new main office, they laughed at me and said its "not our problem, you should get flashlights and a generator or stay at a loved ones" and they didnt deduct the rent either. Lost all my food, no reimbursement. You can never reach them on the phone. I will sue.

Negative experience: I’ve been sitting in the dark for almost 24 hours with a 5-year-old daughter and my autistic brother, sweating in this nasty heat, watching all my food rot in the fridge because these clowns don’t care enough to fix the lights. They’re quick to cash rent checks but vanish when it comes to basic living conditions. This place is unsafe, unlivable, and flat-out disgusting. Berrada doesn’t care about families, kids, or human beings — they’re parasites living off tenants’ misery. If you’re thinking about renting from them, don’t just walk away — RUN. These people are the bottom of the barrel, the definition of slumlords. Shameful, greedy, and trash.

Negative experience: I’m currently renting through them and very upset and hate that I have these people as landlords!!!!!! They real unprofessional, they quick to get over on the tenants! We had a real bad flash flood 8/10/25 here it is 8/19/25 still no answer or response back on repairs to our building! Still no hot running water, no heat if we want to turn the heat on!!

Negative experience: 0 stars !!!!!! The female who take the maintenance calls do a upset work !!!! She don't understand the issues. I have like 1 month with a new range and Have the connection but with no power I call like 3 times , my wife call like 3 more and .... Waiting and waiting.... Buying food every day $$$$ because I can't use my electric NEW range!!! Wasting money in food every day!!! Believe or not they leave an unrented apartment open, open doors and windows unlocked, one family homeless stay one night and now have a homeless family living front of me today and maybe this night!!! They move with kids and one luggage!!!!

Negative experience: 4509-4519 N 36th. Consistent problem in the alley of my rental property. Why do y’all allow contractors or whoever they are to remove furniture from the property and trash and leave it in the alley. These people have no respect for the neighborhood and the homeowners. Treat this neighborhood like it’s a dump. I’m tired of it. I hope I see one of them working in the building so I can give them an earfull.

Negative experience: Spent a bunch of money "cleaning up" the outside appearance instead of dealing with the antique heating system so now a bunch of tenants are with out heat over thanksgiving weekend. Children and senior citizens paying full rent for apartments that are forty degrees inside. Repairs are never finished, building systems failing regularly. The apartment above my Aunt's has a heat register that leaks whenever it's turned on. It's been reported several times over the last year or so and they refuse to do a simple repair. Instead they just asked the tenet not to turn it on. It's Wisconsin, it gets cold. They turn it on, It leaks down into her kitchen/dining area. It's a gross display of indifference. My aunt has been a long time resident of this building and it's heartbreaking to watch its decline at the hands of an archetypal slumlord. Rent from ANYONE else if you can. UPDATE - The damage in my aunt's apartment has been repaired and they did a pretty decent job as well. The scheduling was a challenge because communication is really difficult but they did get it fixed. I can't verify the repair upstairs but the aesthetic damage was addressed. I would still consider other options if possible.

Negative experience: I didn't have an issue living in Grantosa Crossings building until this year. My filthy neighbors moved in and brought German roaches in the building, they swarmed the hallways, from the nymphs to adults. No matter what I do, they won't stay out of my unit. Although I'm not infested, I'm tired of seeing their dead carcasses. I've tried caulking, using Advion bait gel, Combat, DE, THEY WON'T GO. The people who brought them didn't want to cooperate or open the door for the exterminator, so it kept getting worse. One of them literally had roaches crawling out their door while one was dead. While some of us were literally fighting for our lives to make sure these pests don't crawl into our homes, they just stood there and watch it unfold. They didn’t email or report the infestation to the management, NOTHING! Trifling and filthy. Edit: (2/27/2025) In the holidays of 2024, they towed my car for a petty reason. They towed my neighbor six times. I had my car broken into in the garage, so I parked outside just for it to be towed a year later. Some of us park in the street because of Legends Towing, the owner threatened to have his family jump me. Literally do not move here.

Positive experience: Tow truck driver lied and said I was parked in the wrong spot and my car haven't moved from that spot for a whole month because I was saving up money to buy a battery for it And my parking sticker was in the rear window. It's been in my rear windows for 8 years. I never had a problem before Is there any way I can get a satellite view on 12-9-24 to prove my car was in the right place Plus the people at the office I was talking to them and they called the guy and he never said nothing about my car being parked in the wrong spot he just said I didn't have a sticker nothing else

Negative experience: This company took over my building in the beginning of the year (Jan 1 2021) while renovating they got paint all over my car. I was told by whoever answers their phone to TAKE IT TO THE CAR WASH. From around February to now (April) no one has yet to contact me back after sending numerous emails, made numerous calls, left numerous messages and also went up to the rental building as well. This is very unacceptable and will be handled correctly since no one wants to communicate all of a sudden. Update: 9/26/24 This company still have yet to fix the issue, currently waiting for court date. Also moved everybody out of my building to move “they” people in smh.

Positive experience: During my time at berrada my apartment was decent and the area was ok. You do have to provide your own stove & fridge.The only issues were the common areas wasn’t kept up holes in walls, door knobs missing, dog urine and feces in the hallways, mail boxes broken and people stealing your packages.

Negative experience: I wish I could give this company negative stars. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! They keep increasing rent and not up keeping the properties, my car has been towed TWICE within 3 months THIS YEAR! Second time, I had my permit and KMK said that the permit does not match the property address. They also had me and my two young children with NO HEAT for months during the winter even when I called and emailed them several times. Enough is enough! Renting with Berrada has been a complete nightmare! I can’t even sleep at night anymore due to worrying if my property is being messed with. If I park in the lot that I PAY RENT ON, it gets towed, and if I park in the front of my apartment, my car gets hit! God bless the day when I’m able to move out and my mind can finally be at peace!

Negative experience: Do. Not. Live. Here. Unless you're truly desperate for a place and willing to deal with maintenance not showing up to fix whichever issue over a MONTH later. They don't respond to emails or answer the phone. Unprofessional. Doesn't take complaints seriously. You'd have better luck living in a garbage can.

Negative experience: Worse place to rent from. Landlord is a slum lord and honestly it's better to live under a bridge then rent here. Berrada purchased my building as I would never rent from them knowingly and ever since the acquisition the property value has decreased dramatically. They don't properly clean nor maintain the property nor make repairs. Yet they charge for everything and will have your car towed at the drop of a dime. Do NOT rent from this company, very rude and unprofessional. If I could give them 0 stars I certainly would....

Fantastic experience: I really like living in berrada properties apartment. I pay my rent on time and they are really good when something needs fixing I email them and they fix it. It's better emailing then calling as they're very busy. They seem to kick out the riff-raff too, if you know what I mean.

Just got a response from them today and she won’t receive the keys till next week she supposed to just wait for when they are ready. The procedure is wack. Management and staff wack. Negative experience: Yall better start buying houses and taking your neighborhood back. They are ghetto and move anyone in once they buy it. I blame they city for allowing Berrada for buying so many thinking he was going to do something. Then other landlords on purpose sell their property knowing he will buy it. At first it was okay because he was fixing houses in the hood now its all over garbage.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say I've seen progress over the years within blocks and neighborhoods! This man and his team has helped changed Milwaukee for the better. I frequently see the workers rehabbing and re-fixing things he has already remodeled for the tenants to live comfortably. I see jealousy and anger towards someone that God put in place to help his city. Folks are always criticising people who worked hard for THEIR money, and he...decide to invest. We all could do the same and chose not to. He is a landlord who isn't about to let you play in his face nor with his coins. Thank you to Berrada properties keep up the good work !

Negative experience: I would give them zero stars if I could. My previous landlord sold the property to Berrada. It was a 4-family building. They turned 6 parking spots into 4 and said 2 were reserved for maintenance (who never came out when called) so tenants didn't even have a place to park anymore. The people who came to "remodel" the outside cut all of the wires on the outside of the building, which included spectrum, AT&T, and power lines and refused to remedy the situation. In addition, a tenant moved into the unit in the building and brought roaches, bed bugs, and mice with them. The new tenants were flushing pampers, paper towel, and napkins down the toilet which caused the plumbing in my unit back up into my bathtub, sinks, and toilet. They refused to send a plumber out at first so I ended up calling the city and then a plumber magically showed up. I moved out a month later and dropped my keys in the drop box. They tried to put an eviction on my name an entire year after i lived there. Thank goodness the judge wasn't going for it. DO NOT RENT FROM BERRADA!!

Negative experience: Complaints I heard and recorded during 1 1/2 hours of canvassing on Barrada owned properties recently. 1. Won't replace broken stove. 2. Maintenance requests were honored at first but never anymore. 3. Building's gas bill hasn't been paid this month. 4. Water coming out of vacant apartment (and the unit below which I saw). 5. Has tried to take advantage of all given resources to get unhonored requests taken care of but nothing has worked. 6. Main front door wouldn't open once and the fire department had to be called to open it. Additionally, I personally witnessed these buildings largely in disrepair and have had very similar experiences canvassing Barrada owned buildings perviously, so much so that I recorded the complaints this time out. Joe Barrada is a slumlord through and through and these last few weeks have killed any doubt of it in me. I will never be renting from Mr. Barrada.

Negative experience: Moses berrada legit just yelled at me and hung up on me for trying to report stuff in my building. Ive been calling all the offices to report the problems and nobody Acknowledges anything that's going on in this buildingTenants broke the locks stole the fire extinguishers are harboring crackheads and I've been reporting it for months nobody does anything about it so I called Moses and he yelled that its not his job and hung up.

Negative experience: If I could give this place no stars I would. The amount of problems and rudeness this property management has is unbelievable. They don’t answer emails or phone calls nor do they return calls. You have no contact with them unless you sit and call the offices for hours at a time. Their newly purchased units are falling apart yet you can never contact maintenance and they will have you either boiling hot or freezing cold as the poorly keep track of the weather and act accordingly. It has been a year I have been requesting a replacement for one of my utilities but they have yet to replace it.

Positive experience: I've been with them for about a year, other than the women with the snotty attitude at the service counter for the payments, it's much pretty a decent place to live... the buildings are clean and well maintained they answer maintenance calls pretty decently and overall I haven't had a problem with them being slumlords so I am satisfied. Fast forward. A couple months have past and their slumlord is showing. Garbage everywhere , rodents in the walls, no heat and the overly large woman Paola is harassing me by phone. berrada is a joke and a horrible place to live

Negative experience: Neva Again Slum at it's BestNEVERRRR Answer the phone for Anything even for maintenance wth does that .Bugs Nice infested n u have to Call the City in order get sum Help plus Keep your Own Stuff Down ‍ Still Fighting for My Security Deposit .

Negative experience: I don’t even rent from them but they keep sending their bills from WE Energies to my P.O. Box. I have called and left messages to take my P.O. Box off and it hasn’t been done. It’s been months. No one answers the phone and the voicemail is always full. If they can’t even do my simple request and I don’t rent from them, then I would never want to stay in one their properties. I bet their actual tenants have issues getting in contact with someone if a situation occurred.

Positive experience: I like my apartment it’s nice and up to date it’s hard to find that in Milwaukee no mice no roaches it’s clean mostly quiet I can pay my rent online without leaving the house when I got my keys the place was beautiful perfect my kids love it too also the updated windows help me save a lot of money on the heating bill only thing I don’t like it nobody cleans the hallways and yards regularly I do it myself a lot of times

Positive experience: Properties are rodent and roach infested. This property located at 3104 West Wells St. in Milwaukee Wisconsin has had this ongoing problem since Berrada Properties have purchased the apartment buildings in this area neighbors are now experiencing problems with rodents in their homes. These are taxpaying home owners who have lived in this area for 20 to 30 years to no avail. We have had no assistance from. Robert Bayman , the department of Neighborhood Services, etc.. this is just one photo of what the garbage buildup looks like in this area and believe it or not this is not at its worst

Negative experience: Moved into a unit. Promised it'll be move in ready at lease signing. Moved in was not completely move in ready. Mentioned the list of fixes to the leasing agent Angel. He was slow on his feet. It is mid winter Heating wasn't heating up like it should. Spoke with Appalachian in Maintenance she promised someone will come out to service furnace nobody came out. Had to call City of MKE and once they contacted Berrada someone finally came out. Heat is still barely blowing upstairs on second. It's freezing upper level. Berrada has some of the worst people working for his company. I can only imagine the type of person he is considering the things he allow to go on. Negative experience: Don't fix nothing always going up on rent my stove don't work my frigerator has two settings Frozen an unthawed my rug I've not been changed since 1980 I wouldn't rent for these papers the last people in the world very terrible service you called and get an message or complaint the company will not get don't get back at you

Positive experience: I hate to say it but my experience with the management itself was not the problem it's the tenants they rent too..just dont care how they live..I watched they crew clean up the garbage several times and try to keep the trash up grass cut snow shoveled but it does absolutely nothing and l can only speak for where I was.

Positive experience: Maybe i have been lucky but i been here for the past 2 years wo any issue tbh. When Berreda bought this building, i called d/t a leaky toilet n they where on it w in 24 hrs. So far i have no complaints.

Negative experience: I’ve been with them for 2 winters and my heat say going out I call i email and it take days for them to fix it I have babies and they don’t care a horrible rental company they upped my rent just to do it.

Negative experience: If your air conditioning or heat go out it's your responsibility. Also if your kitchen appliances go out the landlord makes you buy new ones.

Negative experience: I hate the fact that my old landlord sold this building to Berrada! The temperature was in the negative yesterday I called because my heat is not working at all. Someone was suppose to fix it yesterday that NEVER happened. The city of Milwaukee need to stop letting Berrada buy some many properties, they don't have enough workers to fix the minor stuff. I'm calling fox6news

Negative experience: This is by far the worst living experience ever, they take over everything, no privacy just walk in my apartment unannounced, give notices but come 2½ hours early, disconnected my furnace on the coldest night of the year -28° , and don't answer emergency maintenance number ever. I hate living under Berrada Properties.

Negative experience: these people are brainless they came out and made two parking spots for a 4 family APARTMENT. My mom comes home to some one in my parking spot so she parks off to the side so they are able to get out without hitting her car they tow her car!!!! even though she is the only one in building with a LEGIT PARKING STICKER so then i call ann the lady who handles the tows for my mother while she was at work she cuts me off while i'm talking to tell me that it doesn't matter if everybody has a spot to park or not we will be towed if not in a spot knowing that all 4 apartments have vehicles her words exactly "these are our rules and yall just have to follow them". but if your a property manager and provide parking them OBVIOUSLY it should be provided for the whole buillding she was very rude and ignorant and i wouldn't be surprised if Ann was a high school drop out with her musty big wig wearing a** she should be fired for the way she talks and handles situations they need to hire some staff with actual sense
