Fantastic experience: We love this venue, and this past weekend we were able to sit in the suites on the second level and we were so impressed. We will absolutely try to upgrade to those seats for all future events.! The bartender Corinth was amazing, the bathrooms were clean. The acoustics were amazing. The facility is in great shape and laid out well and not too big so the concert is still intimate..

Negative experience: Staff THREW AWAY my personal property. Guy at the metal detector took the pepper spray off of my keychain without asking what it was (just looked like a black leather pouch) and I never saw it again after he dropped it into a bucket. After the show, I asked where I could get my stuff back to two different staff members. The first one said “I don’t know” and the second said “it’s probably in the trash.” I am a young woman who drove four hours out of my way to see Ministry. That pepper spray was my ONE comfort on this solo trip. Staff did not give a DAMN about my stuff. Even if all of my favorite bands played here at once, I would not return. Especially considering the cheapest shot here was $9.

Fantastic experience: There's a venue in OKC called The Criterion. This venue is almost exactly the same except this one is wayy better. The balcony seats are awesome and it was chill enough up there and bathrooms too. Love that they have a dedicated merch area line and the bars are lit up cool. Had a great time seeing Poison The Well. There's a parking garage behind the venue.

Negative experience: No re-entry even for emergencies. Absolutely ruined the entire night. Couldn’t get to the car for a tampon, an inhaler or any reasonable excuse to walk to your car. $9 bud light as well isn’t too appealing.

Fantastic experience: I went for a concert and the line was wrapped around the building, I was afraid it would be crowded when I got inside. However, once inside, the building was way bigger than I expected, and it was enough room to accommodate all the concert attendees. The worker did an awesome job moving the line to get in, and despite the huge line, I only waited 10 minutes to get into the venue. The drinks were overpriced, but that was to be expected. Overall I enjoyed my experience and will be back for more events.

Positive experience: This venue has been a staple in the Dallas music scene for quite some time (name changes and all). I’ve only attended using GA which has plenty of floor space and bar access on both sides. There is also a balcony with seats but seems quite limited in capacity. My biggest complaint is how the merch line can become an issue when leaving the venue, but generally I like this place.

Negative experience: I agree with every comment here saying the place oversells the tickets. I went to a Zedd concert where I got physically assaulted at and when I told a security officer all he had to say was “it’s too crowded for me to go in there.” My night was ruined. They obviously don’t care about their audience’s safety which is the ABSOLUTE bare minimum. I tried to contact them via email with no answer. Avoid this place at all cost.

Fantastic experience: I bought tickets for the Atarashi Gakko concert at The Factory in Deep Ellum and I was concerned about my ability to stand for long periods of time due to a back condition so I was told to let them know when they scanned my tickets. I usually bring pain meds and medical devices to ease but I was not allowed to bring them in my backpack, I found out. Did not matter. The staff was absolutely amazing. I was taken to an area where not only could I sit comfortably and not have to worry about the pain, but it was also my kids 1st concert experience and the area that we were put in was mind blowingly fantastic. We got to see the show from close and although this might not seem much for some, this simple act allowed core memories to be created for my two girls. The experience was so good that I don’t know if we’ll ever top this so we will cherish this experience forever. I really wish I could remember names but everyone from the security guard, event coordinator, and the bartender, were simply the best people. This is what a venue should strive to be.

Fantastic experience: I added a star because they have a great booker. But solely because or a Boss Lady "Katelynn", she single handedly elevated the facility's review rating to ☆☆☆☆☆ Her and the staff and servers are attentive and responsive. Production quality is ALWAYS on point. This is a larger facility with high ceilings and lot of flooring real estate for a standing room crowd. As stated, the booker for shows here is probably the best in DFW for my entertainment dollar. This is one of the best performance venues in DFW by a good margin.

Negative experience: I recently attended a concert at this venue and had a disappointing experience due to their strict camera policy. They wouldn’t allow digital cameras inside, so I was forced to leave mine outside. Unfortunately, there was no staff monitoring the area where belongings were left, and my camera was stolen while unattended. When I approached the staff about my concerns, they claimed they weren’t liable for any stolen items, which felt incredibly dismissive. It’s frustrating to know that a venue doesn’t take responsibility for the safety of attendees’ personal property. While the concert itself was great, the anxiety of losing my camera overshadowed the experience. The lack of security measures for personal belongings is a significant drawback, and I won’t be returning in the future. Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that I am fully aware of your camera policy, having attended events at your venue before without any issues. In fact, I was able to keep my camera in a safe place inside on those occasions. This time, however, the staff failed to inform me about the options you mentioned or provide any guidance at all. Their lack of communication left me without a viable choice and ultimately caused unnecessary stress during my visit.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Hana-

Our camera policy is listed on our website and on our FAQS that you had to AGREE to and physically push the accept button before purchasing tickets.

Our staff offers you the opportunity to take your camera back to your car (and not
wait in line afterwards) or stash it somewhere. If you don’t choose those options, we let patrons leave their cameras behind our doors but advise that we are not liable for items left on a public sidewalk.

We’re glad you enjoyed the show but happy to answer any questions you might have on the policies listed in our website.

Negative experience: i did not go into this venue but i dropped off my girlfriend here for the concert she attended and also picked her up later. this might not be the fault of the venue itself but i feel i should warn everyone that right nearby when i was dropping her off i had to do a few turns to ideally drop her off somewhere safe and just a block away there were homeless people wearing vests trying to pretend to be valet parking attendants. this occured around 5PM on a sunday. not only were these vagrants rudely touching on her vehicle that i was driving they kept insisting that we park the car to presumably scam us for money. there is no police presence here to monitor activities such as this. later around 10pm when i was picking her up i still hardly see any police presence to make sure the area is safe but there were no fake valet attendants. however there were plenty of drunk people around the area jay walking in darkly lit streets and a lot of speeding and aggressive dangerous drivers. deep ellum noticeably has a bad reputation for homeless vagrants and bad safety. well i first hand experienced how undesirable this area is and i want to warn everyone this is a bad venue lest you tolerate all of the above i mentioned.

Negative experience: Look, this is a great venue in a great location. No complaints there. But we saw the Sierra Ferrell show last night, and the show stopped 3 times because of medical emergencies in the crowd. After spending $65 at the bar, I asked for a glass of ice water and I was told it was $5. At first I thought the bartender was kidding, but he wasn't. A small glass of tap water and ice is $5. I hope management will take note of the events that unfolded last night and change their policies. It was quite warm in the crowd last night, and I can't help but to wonder if those 3 people wouldn't have passed out if management showed a bit more compassion for their patrons and offered free water. Change your policies and I'll revise my star rating.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback. We appreciate honest reviews and constructive criticism, but we’d like to address a point of clarification. It’s important to have accurate information before making assumptions. It is presumptuous of you to assume the medical issues were due to lack of hydration . The venue worked closely with the tour to ensure that water was distributed to the crowd consistently (as noted in reviews from other shows). We remain committed to creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment for everyone and will continue our efforts to provide ample hydration.
We hope you have a great day!

Positive experience: Security stricter than TSA lol. They told me I had to either throw away some medication I had in my purse or put it in my car. Didn’t even ask what it was or if it was medically necessary. It wasn’t but still. Don’t try to bring Aleve, Zyrtec, or Pepto Bismol tablets in here, it’s not allowed. I always carry that with me just in case, so didn’t really think I had to get rid of it for a concert. At least they ket me keep my inhaler with me. I also think they should enforce no photos/videos during the shows. Previous shows I went to here had that rule, but maybe that was something the band wanted, not the venue. Just annoying when people start holding their phones up above their head, blocking the view of the stage.

Fantastic experience: I went here to see Orbit Culture. It's been a long time since I've seen a show here. So much has changed, for the better. The bar is nicely setup and easy to access, it's also lit well enough to see in the dark. Having gone in August it was so nice that the air conditioning was so good. So good I had goose bumps a few times lol. I can't stress how thankful everyone was for the cold air. As far as the ladies room, I only went in there one time before the show and at that time it was fully stocked and very clean. The show itself was also really good made great by the sound system, it was perfect. Overall if you're going to see any show here you will not be disappointed, the only negatives for me were the drive to and from and the location. But, that's obviously going to be different for everyone. I just don't like driving in Dallas lol. Expect to have a good time in a really nice venue.

Negative experience: My husband and I went to the Toxic Summer Event at The Factory in Deep Ellum Dallas last night. We were so excited to see all the artists and enjoy being back out in the scene now that my husband was feeling more comfortable getting back out again. Back story: He was shot in January of this year. As a result, he is paralyzed from the waist down. He is now in a wheelchair and also has nerve damage going from his spine into his legs, causing severe and random nerve pains. He grabs his leg, and leans forward and focuses on the pain to ease it, as a way to help get through it. We were so stoked to get to see all the artists on this absolutely incredible line up. But unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the majority of the show. Security and staff kept coming up to us asking if he’s okay during his nerve pains. Which I completely understand. I would tell them he is okay, that he has nerve pains, it’s unfortunately normal for him now. There is no need for concern. The problem was when it continued to happen, snd by the same security and staff that I have already explained his condition to. Over and over. I repeated to them, if we need them, I will be sure to let them know. But we are trying to enjoy the show and all they are doing is bothering us at this point. They came back two other separate occasions to the ADA section with EMTs, (AFTER) we already told them about his condition, numerous times. They would try to get his attention and make him answer questions, like what is today, who’s the president, what’s your name, etc. I was leaning in trying to tell the EMT to give him a moment, he is fighting a nerve pain right then, but he ignored me and he kept trying to get his attention. Then we had a staff member come up and ask what he took, what is he on.. he takes too many medications daily that he cannot mix with anything, not even alcohol. So he doesn’t drink or partake in anything. After this, we had enough, so we left the ADA section and went to the back of the venue behind the crowd. A staff member then came up to us, and very rudely told me and our new friend that we were chatting with to get away and go. Of course I don’t listen and stand there because no one is going to make me leave my husbands side. Then they tell another staff member that he is over heating and he needs to be taken to the medical area. I proceed to tell them that he is not overheating, and that he is fine, and explained his condition once more. They then say that management is here and I have to take him to medical to get checked out and cool off. My husband and I both continuously tell them he’s fine, and they just kept pushing us to go to the medical area. So we just left. I absolutely hate that this happened! This was our first time he got back out and they made his experience so uncomfortable.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience at the Toxic Summer Event. It sounds frustrating that what was meant to be an enjoyable night out turned into a series of misunderstandings and discomfort for both you and your husband. Please know that the intention of our staff was not to upset either of you, but rather to ensure your well-being. We genuinely care about our patrons and, at the time, believed we were going above and beyond to assist both of you. I hope you can recognize our efforts. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you both back soon.

Fantastic experience: I was attending the Kublai Khan concert on 05/26/24. My friend was injured in the pit and we had to leave early after he was assessed by paramedics. As a result I completely forgot to close my tab and collect my card. I emailed staff and was contacted by Scott Lonski with The Factory. He said he had the card at the box office and I can pick it up any day when there is a show. Well, my schedule made that very difficult. I am a police officer and work night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. Every day they were having a show for the next month I had either work during the show times or had an engagement. My friend had tried to go pick up the card for me and his car broke down. I was running out of options and was concerned I was just going to have to cancel it at that point. Scott offered to personally and securely mail me the card as an exception to their typical pickup rule, because of the repeated complicated schedule issues I was having on getting it picked up. It arrived and it is now In my wallet. Scott was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help a customer in need when he absolutely did not need to. He and I communicated via email back and forth through each change in plans and was courteous the entire way. While it was stressful for me because I needed a debit card for some upcoming events, he made sure it was taken care of and gave me peace of mind. Thank you Scott! Not only do y’all have some of the best concert experiences I’ve seen, but some of the best customer experiences as well. God bless and take care. I’ll see y’all again very soon.

Fantastic experience: We haven’t been here since 11/7/2022 for Slaughter To Prevail (another awesome live show and experience) but this, our most recent visit on 5/3/2024 for Bad Omens (and a birthday celebration) was top class. Our first time reserving a suite and must say from the booking (Caitlin) to the staff on-site, it was an amazing experience that I couldn’t recommend highly enough. The Factory rocks, and is a great place for live shows - if you fancy the once-in-awhile upgrade, it is worth it! can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic experience: Recently saw Bad Omens & I See Stars at The Factory and they were absolutely AMAZING!!!! Perfectly sized venue- packed but there was still a way for me to find a way to get a good view of the band from pretty much anywhere! Upstairs is reserved for ticket purchasers who would prefer seating if you do not want to stand amongst the crowd. This is in downtown Deep Ellum and the parking is atrocious down there for big events- so either be prepared to WALK or WAIT in a parking garage after a show!! But the venue itself was awesome!!

Bethany Kay Grace Published on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: I enjoy the venue for concerts but felt like I needed to write this review specifically for the bathroom attendant in the woman's bathroom. She made me extremely uncomfortable pressuring me for a tip before I left. Tips should not be asked for or pressured out of by people. It felt very weird and I did not like it. If people want to tip they will, no one asked you to hand me a paper towel for my hands. If I knew that she was going to make me that uncomfortable I could've just gotten paper towels myself. She asked for a tip, pointed at the jar, I told her I have no cash, then she pointed at her sign for cashapp and gave me a look like she was upset when I said no.

Positive experience: Nice size venue. Prefer theater size shows vs stadium shows. I got there little late so there was virtually no line, assuming they did a speedy job of getting people in the door. The beer options were very limited but it was cool that they had a coffee stand and snack foods too. Didn't eat anything but nice to know there was something.

Getting in the door and bar service was smooth and easy, great service….the show was funny as expected, we enjoyed it. The venue was SO COLD, A/C was blowing all night. Several of us and around us asked staff if could be adjusted a bit. We were buying hoodies at the merch table cause it was SO COLD! It was cool and nice outside, seemed colder inside.

Hi Aaron-

We are disappointed your experience wasn't 100% satisfactory. We did turn down the AC after the complaint, but with a room that size, it can take sometime. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how your experience went. We are glad to hear the staff was amazing and that you enjoyed the show. We hope you'll revisit us soon in the near future. We hope you have an amazing day.

Positive experience: Had an amazing time and the atmosphere was perfect. The fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha was the sponsor and Roland Martin was the host and he did an amazing job. Cudos to the bartenders who were serving drinks that were not watered. I gave only 3 stars because although we closed our tab after 1 drink and tipped generously the next morning there was a $340 unauthorized charge to my friend's credit card and we've been unable to get a hold to anyone from the factory and now she’s having to cancel her card and wait for the bank to investigate. Meanwhile she’s out of $340. That's theft!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Another great experience at The Factory. My son and I attended the Mr. Big show on 1-13-24. Inexpensive city parking nearby. The security check at entry was thorough yet those working were professional and courteous. Beautiful facility was clean and comfortable. Those assisting with seating were friendly and helpful. Would love to return to see more hard rock and heavy metal acts in the near future.

Fantastic experience: So, I have been to this venue over many years and owners, and have never experienced the care I just received by them. I had an issue with with some tickets and it got handled perfectly! Bailey, who I am assuming is a manager, is by far their best asset. She was friendly, immediately understood my dilemma, and took care of it! She ROCKS!!

Fantastic experience: Went to see a concert and had an issue at the front door causing the manager to respond. The manager was extremely nice and solved the issue with professionalism. This was my second concert at the venue. The balcony is the best bet to see the band and stage. Acoustics were great. Bands including the warm ups were great. Staff all around was courteous and helpful.

Positive experience: The place itself is pretty cool.. the wait to get in is stressful if you have issues with your knees or back. The doors didn't open until 6:30 and the concert started at 7. The line was around the building. So by the time we got in and hit the Merch table, we had totally missed the first band.

Positive experience: I'm giving it three stars because the venue itself is very nice. The people working the bar are great. The sound system is great. But they have you empty your pockets, and go through a metal detector at the door, and make you return any knives, legally carried firearms, Etc to your vehicle. Leaving everyone inside defenseless. And they have no armed security. Many concert goers, even recently, have suffered for this policy. Has former military, and law enforcement, I take offense at that policy. And it is for this reason that I will not return.

Fantastic experience: This place is in a decent location. It’s in Deep Ellum but it is on Canton which makes the traffic and parking a bit easier to navigate. It’s a huge open space and the staff were all Rock Stars. I was at a themed party so they decorated well and the band was really good. I didn’t watch anything but I was happy with my drinks!

Positive experience: Came here for the Stayc concert a little more than a month ago. If you are going to be camping for front row for more than a few hours, bring a hat or an umbrella. If you bring an umbrella make sure to bring it back to the car before you go in because they aren't allowed in. Even though the weather was in the 60s/70s the day I went, the sun was unbearable. I've walked in triple digit weather and felt fine but standing out there with zero shade and the sun just baking you... it sucks and it dehydrates you quick (so bring water too). Venue eventually came out and provided water but it was after a few hours. There are a lot of restaurants/bars nearby you can buy beverages from. Anyways staff was super nice. I wish they gave that one woman in charge of instructing how VIP and non VIP will be separated into two lines a megaphone though to get her message across further as loads of people in the back rushed up thinking a whole new line opened up just to be sent back disappointed. Inside of the venue was also really nice. It is Deep Ellum though and there are gonna be druggies walking around here n there. Loads of cops patrolling the area though. Parking wise there's a parking garage right around the corner. If you bought a parking ticket on AXS or Ticketmaster, that's probably the garage you bought it for.

Fantastic experience: I've been to my fair share of concerts, and this is one of my favorite venues, I've been here twice. It's clean and well organized, security is great, and the staff is nice. The sound is well-mixed, and the stage is high enough that you can see from virtually anywhere in the room, there's not a bad spot in the house. Most recently, I saw Stephen Sanchez with some friends, our spot was right up on the side of the stage, a little obstructed, but still great. The only issue is the area... yikes.... We were dropped off, I wouldn't have gone if I had to park and then walk back to my car at night after the concert.

Positive experience: I wish the layout was more like south side with a raised back. If you’re not at the front of the pit good luck seeing the show. Ended up getting balcony seats from then on out. Totally worth the extra money! My main problem for the three stars is getting in the venue. Several concerts have taken me an hour to get into. Yes I’ve heard their excuses for people all coming at once and bigger concert sizes. I’ve been to many concert venues over the years and have never experienced such a long line to get into venue. Not to mention the merch lines are just as horrendous. Overall balcony seats are awesome! But they need a better way to get traffic flowing into the venue

Fantastic experience: Drove here from Houston go see Kesha. Parking was easy to find near the venue. The venue was great, staff had everything well organized. Was surprised how large the space was. Drinks are pricy but definitely worth it. Would definitely travel here to see another one of my favorite artists here again.

Positive experience: Very unorganized staff I went to STAYC concert on October 19, 2023 for VIP lines they didn’t make a separate line until after the check in time (check In was at three, they didn’t start moving lines until 3:30) merch shopping was ok. They didn’t let everyone in from merch which I can understand but what I didn’t get was that they don’t allow merch Shopping during the concert. The staff was great though (barring the unorganized lines fiasco). It’s also a very small venue and there’s no public restrooms until two blocks away.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal music venue, no overlapping audio, powerful bass, overall great acoustics. Most shows have pit only seating, which makes for intense, but fun shows. Being in Deep Ellum there is plenty around to eat/drink. Honestly my favorite music venue in DFW. I am sad that they renamed it from “The Bomb Factory” though, it had so much more character.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time at the Teddy Swims concert. The staff at the Factory was very informative and provided assistance when needed. The entry line was really long even we arrived but it moved very quickly. $12 for a can of wine was a little steep, tho!

Fantastic experience: We got the last row isle side balcony seats for the Fit for a King and the Devil Wears Prada show and I don't think I have ever been so comfortable at a show. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Seats were amazing. Even being all the way back we had an amazing view and the sound quality was top knotch. Literally only possible thing to complain about would be the stage lights in your eyes and that is something they have no control over so not really worth deducting any stars for.

Fantastic experience: We had a Blast!! Sevendust, Static-X, Dope, & Lines of Loyalty, Really Awesome show. The bartenders were pretty quick, drinks were great, But I have to say we met an awesome bar back named MATT!!! This guy deserves a raise! He is definitely a hard worker, and a super nice guy! We'll definitely be coming back to see more shows, and to watch Matt do his thing. My experience was better than I expected, and I'd recommend coming here. Bathrooms were well maintained, kudos to the attendants & staff. Thanks for a Great, Rockin time

Fantastic experience: Pretty nice venue for a concert. Good acoustics and lights. The bar is very accessible from pretty much everywhere. The only real complaint that I have is that the LED lights that line the balconies are pretty bright and never turn off or anything and it does mess up some of the immersion with the lights and the band’s show.

Positive experience: Great concert venue, huge space and awesome sound. But while All Time Low was playing, several people pushed very hard against the crowd to get to the front. They talked super loud and waved their drink around, and when I finally said something to her, she admitted she WORKED FOR THE VENUE, and "made the cookies for the band, so she was excited." But ruining the experience for fans who PAID to see the show! I'd suggest speaking to your staff about their conduct at venues. Put a super sour taste in my mouth to find out she worked at the venue... Very unprofessional behavior.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Bekah-

Sincere apologies for that incident. You are absolutely correct that anyone representing the venue should conduct themselves in a reputable manner and should not be hindering other patrons’ experiences. She actually doesn't work for the venue, rather a vendor/contractor we purchase custom cookies from. We will address this and re-educate staff/vendors/contractors on concert etiquette as venue representatives.

If you have any further questions or feedback, please email us at contact@thefactoryde.com.

We hope to see you again soon!

Fantastic experience: Been here a few times. The balcony seating is an amazing view of the stage and the crowd. Fast pass entry is worth it. The VIP area is great if you buy the VIP packages. Lines for entry can start forming by 10am some days. So definitely plan on either showing up early or standing in a long line.

Negative experience: Security was awful. It was pouring out and they made everyone toss their umbrellas. I have a medical device with a medical card and was given back talk about a security guard opinion of my device and false info. The event was also way oversold and very crowded, pretty sure fire laws were being broken. I will never attend an event here again. Not worth it. Reply to the venue: I never told you when I went so how could you know? Also, there was no bins. Trash, utter trash.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Josh-

Thank you for your letting us know about your night. No one is asked to "throwout" their umbrellas. You are, however, asked to put them in bins at the front as they are not allowed in the venue- this is also indicated on our website. We highly value the safety of our patrons, artists, and staff and we actually weren't even NEAR our capacity. We had two fire marshals onsite that evening to ensure we were not only compliant but to ensure everyone's safety in any extreme case that might have happened. Hope this provides a little more clarity on the night for ya!

Fantastic experience: Went here for the first time! To see "motionless in white" live! Loved how fast they got everyone in without skipping a beat! BE WARNED you do need your ticket and ID to enter! They have "snacks" but nothing that I'd consider a meal. But there's tons of restaurants on this street. But they have tons of bars inside. Parking: you are in the middle of Dallas. So finding parking may be a problem so take a lyft to get in and out. (Perfered) If you want to be in the pit area, you might want to get here EARLY I mean 4hrs early for the big names. Overall good experience recommended

Positive experience: SEP19 - Sleep Token Concert Event was very packed. Almost felt oversold. Spent a collective two hours in line to get into the venue while a thunderstorm poured on us. They had to push the start time back because so many people were still coming in at 8, myself included. The merch line was just as bad. Once in, the place is nice, but they must not enforce their no-smoking/vaping policy, because people were doing their best impressions of whales breaching. Nonstop smells of smoke that was nauseating. Band was wonderful, but overshadowed by indecency of fans.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Anthony-

Unfortunately we are unable to control when people show-up to the venue. Also, as mentioned, a random storm popping up did not help the situation either. Our staff worked diligently to get everyone in as quickly as possible without negating security protocols. We do our best to policy vapes in the venue, however, are unable to prevent all from using inside the venue. We are glad you enjoyed our facility and the band. Have a great day!

Fantastic experience: I have been to this venue for quite a few concerts but last night was by far the best experience I have ever had. My friends and I went to see motionless in white and we had a kid with us. The manager and the rest of the staff were super sweet and kind. Even though they had a lot going on they would check in on us and to make sure my friends kid was doing okay. I just want to say thank you for the great experience and my friends kid had a blast at her first concert!

Fantastic experience: This venue rocks. Not insanely large to make it feel empty and lose the intimate concert vibe, but not so small where you can't find some space to breath. Plenty of bar space and servers to get you what you need and not have to wait, also has some non-operating bar space that's perfect to post up and chow down on some tasty brisket nachos. Oh yeah, that's right, they had a food vendor on site, which worked out perfectly because I arrived to the show later than expected and was starving. Prices were not too crazy either. The surrounding area seemed to be promising. Plenty of bars and food options to choose from. Nice sized parking garage directly behind the venue was perfect.

Geoff Richardson Published on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Saw The Midnight here tonight. What should be a fantastic music venue is otherwise ruined by the sheer volume of people choosing to vape/smoke during the show. It’s nauseating and ruins the otherwise brilliant light & sound show. A stricter “no smoking indoors” policy is sorely needed.

Positive experience: Long and thorough review incoming :) I was a bit worried about coming here after reading some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. That's not to say it was great though (hence 3/5 stars). I got in line around 2:45 and staff seemed to have line management under control pretty well. Giving wristbands before entry, splitting out Fast Pass ticketers, etc. It did start pouring rain RIGHT as they opened the doors so it was very unfortunate timing that we had to pitch our umbrellas right beforehand, but the fact is they weren't allowed inside. So, we just enjoyed the break from the heat . Nothing much that staff could've done. Security went pretty quickly! I wish they had more than one merch table. I got in line almost immediately and waited around 30 minutes still. I couldn't even see the end of the merch line by the time I made my purchase and went back to my spot. It was just as long when we were headed out... Paid $10 for 2 bottles of water which was absolutely ridiculous :(. I get that staff need to be paid, I was just very surprised by that. There were a couple times people were trying to flag down security for immediate health needs and it seemed to take a very long time for assistance to come. I hope everyone got the care they needed! Plenty of water being passed around which was good. Stage was very high up which was great for being able to see. Although I'm 5'8" so I have a slight advantage there. Parking was easy in the garage right behind the venue. We got there at 2:45 though so there were plenty of spots at that time. And for getting there so early I do wish we were closer to the stage but I didn't want to be THAT person and shove my way forward; we all waited and at the end of the day we're there to have fun and vibe together . AC was good, facilities were clean, staff was fine, though we didn't interact with many of them. Biggest let-down was the audio. Some of that comes down to where we were standing, but the mix for the opening band was wayyyyy off. Could hardly hear the vocalist and I could hear the speakers being blown. I don't know if they kept things at a safe listening volume so I'm glad we brought earplugs (shout-out to Eargasms!) . Personally I don't go to hard rock/metal concerts for perfect audio, so it wasn't devastating. Just something to keep in mind if that's really important to you. I'm sure farther from the stage was better. And lastly, this isn't a big thing but the lights on stage and above the crowd were kinda...janky . Some weren't working right or were flashing the wrong color, etc. Not a huge deal but still a little distracting. So, all in all there was some good, some not good. 3/5. Would come again .

Negative experience: After spending well over a grand for tickets, travel, etc to see my absolute favorite band (sleep token), i’ve never been so disappointed in my life. The venue was so small and packed, I couldn’t see the artist at all, was constantly being shoved around, and most of the other concert goers were talking so loud the entire show, I couldnt hear the band at all. This band means so much to me so by the end of it, I was in tears with disappointment. I had such high expectations and so much excitement for this show but between the venue and the most disrespectful crowd i’ve ever been around, I will never come back to this venue.

Fantastic experience: We brought our 10 year old to see his first show-Dance Gavin Dance tonight and we were standing in the back up top where he couldn’t see much. A lady who worked there came up to us and said she wanted him to see the show and let him stand next to the VIP section where he had a clear view of the show with no one in front of him. That was the highlight of his night! Thank you for doing something so small, that he will think about for so many years!

Venue felt safe and I will say it again sound was great for JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown. Thanks!

Negative experience: Great sound. Loved the "Fast Pass". Well worth the extra charge. They did however double charge the tip on my drinks. My drink was $8, I added a $2 tip to make it $10. Negative experience: Disorganized, unsophisticated place. The ticketing situation is near impossible, and you can see very clearly that their management is subpar the way they handle everything, from security to the folding chairs. They hired more people to check purses, go through metal detectors, check tickets 3 times and card 60 year old women then they did to act as bartender (there was one bartender upstairs with a ridiculous line of people) to sell drinks before a comedy show. If you like paying to sit in folding chairs for a show, maybe this place is for you. The huge speakers blocked our entire view of the screen, there was no heads up that our pricey seats would have blocked views. Management at ticket purchase was rude when there was an issue. Yuck.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Brenda-

Thank you for your notes. We checked with the staff and management and no one reported to have received any complaints last night.

We apologize for the delay in getting a drink initially at one of the three bars we had available. We’re happy to hear from the staff there was little to no wait once the show started.

Safety is our top concern. We aim to prevent any potential risks, unauthorized items, or hazardous materials from entering our premises so thoroughly checking bags and securing metal detector entrance is for your safety and ours.

You must look like a young 60 year old woman to get your ID checked!

Sounds like your view was upstairs with our cushioned bar stools. We do not sell the first 10 chairs on that side of the venue to prevent obstructed views but still have been requested to have availability for fans to be able to be as close to the stage as possible.

Hope you were able to still laugh and enjoy the comedy show!

Negative experience: I have been to literally hundreds of venues, shows, and festivals across the world, and my worst experience by far was this venue. After paying $500 for 2 balcony seats my fiancé and I first had to stand in a line 4 blocks away in 100 degree heat for over an hour just to get into the venue despite arriving a full hour and a half after doors opened. After that nightmare we get to our seats which were specifically selected via stub hub only to be told we used the wrong app and our tickets were GA Despite the tickets showing row 1. The first usher listened to our explanation then made the sensible choice to give us the seats and told us if anyone came that we may have to move, and she would find us other seats which we obliged. About halfway through the show, another usher taps us and asks to see our tickets I explain the same thing I told the first one and she takes us to the back where it’s quieter and I show her my tickets on my phone, she agrees that they show I’m supposed to be on the first row and the price I paid was for the first row of the balcony, she makes us wait as we miss 3 more songs. When she comes back she said there’s nothing she can do we need to move to GA and maybe she can get us some drinks. I told her I can buy my own drinks just as I bought the front row seats and asked if we can have the two open seats. There’s maybe 3-4 songs left as Brook? (I think) continues to argue with me refusing to remedy this easy solution by just fixing the confusion and letting us sit. Fed up with mistake after mistake from this place I just left and didn’t finish the show. Also the show was wellllll over capacity, surprised it wasn’t shut down. Save your money.

The Factory in Deep Ellum
The Factory in Deep Ellum

Hi Calvin-

You chose one of THE shows of the year….as did 4000 other people. As a fellow concert goer, lines are inevitable to ensure security protocols are being followed for your safety and ours.

Our website lists AXS as our official ticketing platform so we can not guarantee the validity of purchased tickets sold through third-party resale sites like StubHub, VividSeats, SeatGeek, etc- bane of our existence, I tell ya.

There were dozens of others that night who also purchased through these third party vendors that we have no connection or pull with. Ticket scalpers have gotten extra savvy these days. It angers us just the same.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure the seats you purchased with the counterfeit tickets. We understand how disappointing and disheartening this must have been.

Management offering a couple drinks was on the only other avenue we could have taken considering the sold-out nature of the show and all seats being spoken for.

As you mentioned, you've been to shows all over the world so we hope you can understand the pickle scalpers put us in.

Hope you make it to another show!

Positive experience: The staff is super fun and friendly and try to get to everyone who needs medical attention or water as quick as possible so I appreciate the effort! However, if you’re short, like under 5’5, you’re gonna have a tough time seeing the artists, and also it gets insanely hard to breathe at my level (5’1). Last time I was here I nearly passed out because it was so packed and the dude in front of me was smoking a joint and blowing the smoke into my area, but apart from that, friendly staff and pretty clean!
