Trinity Groves: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Good mix of dining options right by the pedestrian bridge
Negative experience: Stopped by after a show on a Saturday night and everything was closed before 9:40pm. Attempted to get into the only restaurant that "appeared" open and was told: "drinks only at this hr". Looked like a ghost town.
Fantastic experience: Betos has very delicious food.
Fantastic experience: Saint Rocco's is a good rooftop spot. Food was amazing.
Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for Dallas Skyline this is a must go Free
Fantastic experience: Great energy all over. Amazing food options, walkable, and a big plus with the public restrooms.
Fantastic experience: I love how scenic this area is <3
Fantastic experience: I had an awesome experience at the bridge and had some great food it was amazing
Positive experience: Parking stuck, the lot across the street is hard to get in and out of. No valet on duty at 7 pm on Saturday so we had to use the lot across the street.
Fantastic experience: Great place. Im coming back the next time in Dallas. A lot of discover here.
Positive experience: I like this place but several businesses have closed. Love the outdoor market.
Positive experience: Trinity Groves in Dallas is still a fun and unique spot — even without the Cake Bar — because it offers a vibe you won’t find anywhere else in the city, especially with gems like Beto & Son and the new arcade you’re enjoying.
Negative experience: Everything closed before 10:30 on a Friday night. Somebody hit a person with a truck in a parking lot then fled the scene. Many gang banging teens on bridge. Wouldn't recommend.
Negative experience: Horrible experience here. Ordered food and said 30 minute wait which was fine. Waited about 40 minutes then asked the guy where is my food they screwed up ran to another table. Had to leave in 10 minutes for a flight and asked for a refund guy kept pushing back and said no. Asked for a manager then to get a refund and he didn’t even care. Horrible place
Fantastic experience: Really nice place to eat, enjoy a drink, and sit outside to watch TV and/or just relax. This place has a great relaxing vibe.
Positive experience: Great dining options! Cake bar is GONE! They move down the street. Sum Dang Good Chinese was ok. Their portions got smaller, but the prices remained the same. The rice in my fried rice was oddly crunchy. Great atmosphere sitting outside for lunch to enjoy the beautiful day. I would absolutely return and try a different restaurant.
Fantastic experience: Ate at Beto's and Sons. Awesome! And so much food I brought most of it home to enjoy two more times.
Fantastic experience: I love this bird sanctuary, I do wish it got more traction because the restaurants are good and the patio/bar area is a vibe.
Negative experience: Shops close for the “season” and just never open back up. No updates given to the public. Starting to feel ran down. And management seems to have given up.
Fantastic experience: to all the following police officers in the United States of America, I will continue to support all police officers and it’s sad to see that the officer has to die in America.
Negative experience: I live nearby so I pass this place a lot walking my dog. Seems to always be super slow except for the arcade bar. A lot of closed down shops, and the ones there are open at odd hours. Security is also sketchy. I’ve had some very rude interactions with them, and even caught one attempting to look inside my SUV one day. Tried saying how the windows were so dark he couldn’t tell if someone was in it or not(kind of the point of a dark window tint), it was during business hours and I wasn’t there an excessively long time, only reason they should be checking is if it seems abandoned/towing. In general I just avoid the place.
Positive experience: A good selection of different restaurants for a variety of cuisines. There have been a few places. I love, and there's always something new discover.
Positive experience: Very nice place with a great atmosphere! Food options are just ok. Pets are welcome
Fantastic experience: This looks like a fun venue. We went early in the day as it just opened. But will keep in mind as a fun evening event spot.
Fantastic experience: First time being there it was a nice place to hang with friends
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic food and fun atmosphere and great service to round it off. We did find the margaritas although good a bit on the very pricey side. We were with another couple and each split meals. So basically we had two lunch platters and 3 margaritas and our bill before tip was $86. 36 of which was small margaritas. It was a good treat but due to expense we can't afford to roll like that so it was a one and dome for us. If cost isn't a factor for you and you are looking for a tasty lunch would recommend
Fantastic experience: Love the nitrogen margaritas. Savannah is the best server. The tenderloin fajitas are so good.
Negative experience: The Cake Bar won me over on the first visit... Unfortunately my second visit was met with discrimination from guy riding around the Trinity Grove parking lot in a golf cart and mistaken me for a homeless person. This rude guy needs to be fired on the spot. He yelled out to me as I was slowly making my way up the steps to get to the Cake Bar because I'm a stroke surviver. He told me to leave the premises or he'll call sercurity. I told him that I'm here to buy a cake at the Cake Bar. Then the guy asked if had money to even go into the store! I told him that he'd better call that security guard! The security guard showed and we discussed what happened with the security guard apologizing a few times and making excuses about dealing with homeless people around the premises on a regular basis. Strange, I didn't see any on my first and second visit. But homeless people are people too! If they have money to buy a piece of cake ,"Let em eat cake!". I would like to thank the somewhat sympathetic security guard for carrying my cake helping me back to my car. As for "golf cart guy" I told him that he needs to get fired on the spot! He seems rather arrogant about keeping his job if I reported him. Too bad I left my phone in the car to take a picture of this guy to show what he looks like. Here's a update. I'm glad The Cake Bar moved from this location and even though I have to drive a little farther, I'm glad that I don't have to go to this unappealing place again! The fat golf cart guy was right! This Google review fell on deaf ears and the customer service never called me back and it's been 4 months! I will be forever traumatized from this event.
Fantastic experience: I live right here and haven’t been in years because I never know what the vibes like inside with that stupid fence they had up. But I just drove by and they FINALLY took it down and you can see everyone having a good time in there so I will stop in this weekend to check it out.
Fantastic experience: We love this place! It's better in the winter because they have amazing fire pits. The food varies based on which restaurant you eat at. I like Beto and Sons and Sum Dang Good Chinese.
Fantastic experience: Imagine a vibrant, bustling area designed for food enthusiasts and social gatherings. This lively district features a variety of restaurants, each offering diverse cuisines to cater to every palate. Some eateries boast spacious indoor seating, perfect for cozy dining experiences, while others provide both indoor and ample outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy meals al fresco. Central to this area is a large, open outdoor space equipped with multiple oversized TVs, ensuring that visitors can watch live sports and entertainment events from any angle. Scattered throughout are inviting fire pits, creating warm and communal spots where people can relax and socialize. Adding to the dynamic atmosphere are several food trucks and a central bar. The food trucks offer an array of street food and gourmet options, contributing to the eclectic food scene, while the bar serves a variety of drinks, from craft beers to creative cocktails, making it an ideal spot for both casual hangouts and lively nights out. This area is a perfect blend of comfort, entertainment, and culinary delights.
Fantastic experience: Such a cool place!
Fantastic experience: Wife and I dined at Beto and Son and ordered the barabacoa taco plate and the bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Both were good but the chicken tortilla soup was really good. My tacos were a little to close to soft marinated brisket meat. We were given a seating choice of inside or outside patio. Patio today was a good choice with cloudy skies and very gentle cool breeze. The inside was very smokey and if you follow me here on my reviews you will know that smoke does aggravate some people eyes....like mine. Had a great time...would recommend!!
Positive experience: We ate at Beto and Son and it was okay. I heard great reviews about this place but to me it was mediocre in flavor compared to other places. The atmosphere was nice. Our service rarely checked on us. I completely ran out of water. But over all I had to try it but not sure if this is the go to place. The top shelf guac was fresh but not as flavorful as other places.
Negative experience: Today we were at DFW near gate D2 at 1:45 PM and began to sit down near one of the chairs at the Trinity Groves location on the airport. The waitress (Devyn maybe- not sure of the the name). Slaps two menus down the on the table before we had even sat down our bags and says, “hi boys, thinking about eating or drinking? This is a restaurant.” And the proceeds to glare at us and say nothing further. Needless to say, we moved on. Maybe she thought we were just going to sit at one of the many empty tables and not order anything. It’s very unclear what is part of the restaurant and what is public seating at the gate as it meshes together. Regardless, that’s not how one should approach someone.
Positive experience: Trinity Groves has really gone downhill following the pandemic. Unfortunately lots of their core restaurants are now out of business. Very few eating options to choose from. It's a shame it used to be a really great place to go to and enjoy a wide variety of food types.
Fantastic experience: Came here with a friend and I always have a blast here. The ambience is always great. Everyone is nice and the views are just amazing. It's by a great disc golf course as well. Thanks, I will be back again.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place for a family night
Fantastic experience: Great place to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail.
Fantastic experience: Really beautiful place. Great to bring the kids for a family night dinner or a romantic date night.
Negative experience: Horrible $18 pizza that serves one and taste super gross cheese doesn’t even taste like mozzarella cheese. My wife got the vegan burger and the one at Burger King is 10 times is good don’t waste your money and service was automated then the person who gave you food had no personality.
Fantastic experience: Really cool place to hang out. Plenty of food places and boutique shops. The outside hang out is large with firepits and it has these neat Globe enclosures that keep you public but give you privacy.
Fantastic experience: Nice place to look at dallas downtown
Fantastic experience: What a spectacular place, next to Dallas skyline, amazing view and that Vibe. Ideal to enjoy a relaxing evening. Bonfire setup with ample seating. Must see pics. Enjoy chilling winters outdoors with family and friends. Good food and aesthetics are superb. Walkable distance from Trinity Bridge and trail, must visit and highly recommended. Note: Food will be little expensive but parking is free. Worth the experience!
Fantastic experience: The Cake Bar at Trinity Groves knows what we need. A cake machine. Yes, it's real, it's magical and it's delicious. When you need a piece of delicious cake for your birthday and the shop is closed, don't worry, there's a magical cake machine stocked with fresh slices of cake that ring the bell on the happiness meter. Go now, stop reading this, let us eat cake!
Positive experience: As a public gathering place , Trinity Groves reigns as a consortium of restaurants, bars, and eclectic shops (chocolates & cakes). I visited the Cake Bar, which consistently offers high-quality cakes, cookies, and specialty jams.
Fantastic experience: It was my first time going to this restaurant and I loved it. The waitress was dressed up like a ladybug I can't remember her name but she was outstanding. The brisket enchiladas are awesome and then some.
Negative experience: When I visited on a Wednesday the place was deserted... As a result there was no atmosphere and I didn't stay to dine here. I did go into the Cake Shop but it was super expensive so didn't buy anything. I would not rush back after my experience.
Fantastic experience: Great place for the patio season before the cold weather hits Dallas
Fantastic experience: We visit Trinity Groves a couple times a year. Food is always desirable and tasty. We love sitting outdoors when its cold or hot. They accommodate outside AC and Heat. Pleanty of options on foods to eat. Family friendly.
Fantastic experience: My family and I visited Trinity Groves to celebrate two of our birthdays. We had dinner at Beto and Son—the service was very good, quick and enjoyable. The food was also amazing. Not a place to go for a quiet dinner…pretty loud, but definitely worth it! Outside ambiance with lots of decorative lighting and tvs playing a football game—very cozy and inviting. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic experience: I love love this location. The restaurants and mobile bars are so great. This area is pet friendly. If you have the chance visit the sushi restaurant, the atmosphere is super awesome
Negative experience: This place is not the same as it was back in 2020 when The Hall was open as they ran them off. They've taken over 90% of the parking to either Paid Parking or Valet, really? Why should you charge customers to park out in a big lot that are going there to do business? We ended up at Beto & Sons (which was great, both the food and service) because Saint Roccos would not adjust any menu items. For instance, wouldn't substitute a wine sauce on a dish with marinara, really, you're an Italian restaurant which leads me to believe that everything is pre-made or frozen and they use microwaves to cook. I'll be hard pressed to go back and pay for parking just to go to a restaurant.
Positive experience: OMG!! Trinity Groves has grown up! There was so much to take in. The artwork, art space, and the lawn area full of different genres activities and Booze and Beer bar. The deejay was entertaining and had contests for participants. Visitors could take pictures with the 360 booth or green leave wall. We had a great time relaxing there before our table was ready!
Positive experience: Order took 30 minutes even though we were the first/only people in line. Girlfriend and I ordered 2 breakfast items. Others were getting served before us despite getting there 10 minutes after us. The place was nice and food was decent so the low rating is just for the awful wait time and price of the items.
Fantastic experience: Sum Dang Good Chinese is wonderful. It was a beautiful night out with friends . Christian Women Council group, just loving God and appreciating each out. Everything was great. Alex was our server.
Thank you so much for the review, F.Burns! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your time with us! Looking forward to your next visit! Thanks again!
Fantastic experience: There is a trail where the bridge is, also there's a basketball court, play area for kids, plenty of benches on tables on the bridge and around it. The weekends are crowed most times. Great place to walk the trail, bike, run, take your dog.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience
here with us. We look forward to serving you again real soon!
Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. I visited once when I was in Dallas for a football game. The vibe here is great and the view of the bridge is the cherry on top. There are many restaurants here, and it seemed like most of them were full when I visited. Plan ahead so you can make the most out of your visit.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience
here with us. We look forward to serving you again real soon!
Positive experience: Great vibes and we loved the backyard style. The bathroom were clean and plenty of food options
Thank you so much for the kind words! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience
here with us. We look forward to serving you again real soon!
Negative experience: The area is nice. We ate Beto and Sons. They are all digital, so no menus or paper bill, so make sure you are digital literate. The food was ok. The pico is super hot, so be careful. They charge $1.99 for sour cream, we were charged $8.99 for churros we didn't order or receive. Won't be going back.
Michael, we are sorry to hear that your expectations were not met during your visit with us. We hope you were
able to bring this to our attention while you were still here so that we could have had the chance to
make things right. We would love the opportunity to show you a 5-star experience.
Fantastic experience: Y'all gotta come out to this cute place. It's perfect for dates, for families and they even have spaces to have private parties. Get you a drink sit in the vast array of seating all around and play giant jenga. Watch a game on the Many screens scattered around. They have beer huts. They have daiquiris. You cam get margaritas from Beto and Sons. BBQ, HOMEMADE cakes from the Cake Bar. You just have to see it for yourself. Oh and the views of downtown Dallas....Amazing!
Negative experience: If you have family, avoid the place they don't want you there. been here many times but not the same place it was before and apparently under new management (Beto & Son). Went on Saturday after noon and BetoSon restaurant will not sit party of 8 or more. They will not offer to split either. The table and fire pit is only for people that appear to be 21 and over. A security person was removing anyone that had kids, a true shame and embarrassment. Asked security how come the folks under pergola can stay with kids and he said it's because they are family of owners. Definitely explains why this place seems to be ghost town last few years. Don't come to this place!
Fantastic experience: Great food & drinks! Excellent customer service by Isaiah. I can’t say the same for Vanessa the very profanity laced bar tender. Clean up your act dear. You looked and sounded intoxicated. No one wants to hear about all your business, that’s what therapists are for.
Fantastic experience: Great location across from Trinity Groves. Plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Huge selection of small-batch beers and ciders. Food is pub-style, but still good. Oh, and they have a large selection of board/card games that are available to play. Servers are friendly and fun!
Fantastic experience: We had a blast!! Although we didn’t get a chance to go to all the places we wanted to go lol we were binge tasting. We went to a Mexican spot called Beto and Sons but we only had a drink and cheese dip. We wanted to try Some darn good Chinese but we ran out of time . It was an ok experience.
Thank you for the review!
Fantastic experience: Great weekend spot for drinks and eats...the artwork (graffiti) on the streets are so cool too‼️⭐‼️
Thank you tonia!
Positive experience: This is a cool area to meet friends. Love the outdoor seating area with the Big Screens. The Cake Bar is a spot that everyone needs to stop by for a slice ....or two. Babbs Brother BBQ is always a crowd favorite as well.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and kick back environment. The fire pits were going and all looked to be having a great time. Great places to eat and drink.
Thanks for stopping by!
Positive experience: The machine gave quite a few of us a hard time. It'll definitely be a lifesaver if the owner post directions for first timers. The strawberry was our least favorite just like the chocolate. The vanilla taste much better.
Fantastic experience: City lights are my favorite & Trinity Groves has plenty. Had a great time at Saint Rocco's NY style Italian Restaurant, what a spectacular Dallas view! Definitely coming back!
Fantastic experience: Just visiting, we stopped to check this area out… not a lot of the restaurants were open I believe due to Renovations maybe, but it was still a beautiful area! Loved all the lights, so much seating area available.
Positive experience: My friend Mari and I had a great time!!!We visited The Hall, which is currently A Christmas themed pop up bar. It's a great place to stop by for a drink. They don't serve any food here. It's a great spot for photo ops and to get you in the Christmas spirit. It's decorated from top to bottom with Christmas decor. They have a special Christmas drink menu (drinks on point) and play Christmas movies and music throughout the bar. Then we went to check out The Art Park, which was pretty cool as well. It is decked out with lounge chairs, fire pits, picnic tables, and tv screens. They also have a couple of trailers set up for alcohol sells. We just had trouble getting seated at the restaurants for dinner, due to long wait lines. Other than that it's a great spot to chill on a nice day or night.
Positive experience: Enjoyed the Asian Fusion place. Pizza was so-so. Competing music outside was annoying. Lots of seating, minimal parking.
Fantastic experience: Ate at Sum Dang Good Chinese Returant, the name honestly says it all. The staff is great and very helpful with explaining the menu and how they prepare their food. Our waiter Trey, made it even more enjoyable, entertaining and fun, he is an awesome waiter, if you go here especially if it's your first time see if you can request Trey to be your waiter, he is worth waiting for and then some. All the waitstaff is great but from here on when I go to the restaurant I will be looking for and asking for Trey, the food is awesome.
Fantastic experience: My first time at this location and it's nice. Great place to hang out with family and/or outside. Restaurants all around to eat at and the atmosphere is relaxing.
Fantastic experience: My Sister and I got a slice of lemon cake from The Cake Bar and it was delicious!
Fantastic experience: Trinity groves is such a fun place! So many delicious food options plus great atmosphere!
Fantastic experience: I came for Cake Bar, brought a friend, she had never been over here and we roamed around and checked out their EATS. Nice spot to go sample some new treats, dine in or outside.
Fantastic experience: We stumbled upon this place and loved the atmosphere. Lots of restaurants to choose from and cool ambiance. The Vegan restaurant we went there for wasn't opened although it showed online that it was. We easily found somewhere else to eat.
Fantastic experience: Delicious Chinese food! Sum Dang good Chinese food & drinks gave us life, was our 1st time there and can't wait to return and try something new!
Positive experience: Love the atmosphere, had a great dj. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. The beverage is a little upscale but worth the price. It's a fun place to go with family, friends and first dates
Fantastic experience: Loved it here!! Great food and drinks. We brought family and friends for a night out to relax outside and play some games. This place is well thought out, trendy, fun, and a great date place. Food can be order directly to your picnic table or you can eat at one of the many restaurants.
Fantastic experience: Amazing place to hang out with friends or even for a solo chill. There are a variety of restaurants & bars all serving delicious food . My friend and I ate at Avotreats, where everything on the menu has avocado, and it was very good. There's also a wide outdoor dining area which is perfect for large groups. I also loved how colourful the place is with the inner wall painted with different graffiti.
Fantastic experience: What a cool vibe at this place. I ordered a hot dog, fresh and bacon-wrapped chicken jalapeño poppers from Off-site Kitchen and watched people playing giant Jenga, Connect Four and Cornhole, while baseball and football games were showing on TV screens all around, with great music from the 80s and 90s pulsed around us. Good service and good food. A great experience all around.
Fantastic experience: The art park was awesome! (Was the only part we visited) Had a cpl drinks from the margarita truck, got some pizza from holy crust and played jenga while watching tv outside with multiple fans and misters blowing. It is also pet friendly i noticed, with water bowls around for the dogs too. NOTE: it is a not sandal friendly type of place ladies. Had to stop several times to fish tiny rocks out of my shoes.
Fantastic experience: Beto and Son has some killer food and nitrogen adult drinks. I highly recommend this place. Atmosphere is amazing too.
Fantastic experience: Love the restaurant commissary concept here and outdoor vibes. Definitely a place for families or friends to gather. A diversity of food options and adult beverages. Unfortunately when I visited not everything was open so we will just have to come back again to get the full experience.
Fantastic experience: Great place to grab some drinks and food with friends.
Fantastic experience: Easily one of my favorite eatery locations in Dallas! I first heard about this place shortly after it opened in 2015(?) when I heard on of the Board Members interview on the news. It is full of shops and eateries that you cannot find anywhere else! They are small businesses and the menus tend to change seasonally. Definitely be sure to go often!
Positive experience: I visited the Cake bar for there Delicious stand in line cakes. Every slice of cake I've had is Delicious moist with creamy icing. However this is the 2nd time I've had to ask for a different slice of cake, the Carrot cake seems to be a little short in the container. Someone seems to cut this cake a little smaller. For the price, I want the same size as my German chocolate slice.
Fantastic experience: Beto & Son, kept it simple with bacon and eggs tacos. Topped it off with queso and elote!! So good!!
Fantastic experience: Great concept …. Restaurant park. We ate at Sum Dang Good Chinese. It’s a great order-from-menu Chinese place. Very good food and fresh ingredients. Good fusion of various Asian cuisines. Works great for me.
Fantastic experience: Hip area of shops and restaurants across the river from downtown Dallas. Vibrant colors and lots of options. We are at Babb BBQ and Cake Bar.
Fantastic experience: Clean, safe, well-lit walking bridge near the downtown Dallas area. The bridge sits atop of the Trinity River. It's an easy walk suitable for all ages. There are several designated seating areas and several spots to take photos of the view. Overall, this is a great spot to check off on your site-seeing tour of the Dallas area.
Positive experience: Cake Bar! I'm not a foodie... but if you don't like this cake something is wrong with you. The vending machine they have outside is epic.(When it works. Took my money on two separate occasions) anyhow, hands down hard to beat dessert.
Fantastic experience: Literally the best chocolate truffles I have had. I had almost lost faith in fancy truffles until I had these. I was seriously thinking that I maybe just didn't like truffles, but this place proved I just haven't had any good enough yet! So cute and beautiful and tasty! Definitely give this place a try! I had the mango habanero, which was good but I thought it could have brought the heat a bit stronger. The one I LOVED was the lavender apricot. Lavender is a hard flavor to balance (too much and it tastes like soap, too little and you can't taste it) and they nailed it! I loved the variety of texture within the truffle, too!
Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the environment! Convenient parking. Although it can be difficult to find good parking space. I think Trinity Grove with it's variety of establishments has a lot to offer patrons. No matter what your taste is you can find it there. However, try something different and break the old habit of eating the same boring dishes, smile! Get out and have a little fun and relaxzation. You will certainly enjoy the kinda of romantic atmosphere. The lighting is cozy but well lit, great security presence and family event for the kids. Try it you will return again!
Positive experience: Lots of restaurants to choose from. Indoor outdoor seating.
Fantastic experience: We didn't know it was the first day for our waitress but we all were patient and she did her thing serving our party. She did great
Fantastic experience: Ah-mazing food and great happy hour specials! So many great eating spots! This is from Beto & Sons. The fajita family meal is worth it! 4-5 people can share depending on how hungry you are!
