Fantastic experience: As a renter, I can't recommend Bell more! They were expeditious in their move in/out processes. They were accommodating of my ESA. They were understanding and fair with my early lease termination and deposit refund. They were always ultra responsive when I had questions and on the one maintenance request I submitted (plumber replaced the leaky faucet and water lines the next day).
Negative experience: Their competency truly reflects in their reviews. Absolute garbage for a company. Negative 5 stars.
Negative experience: DO NOT RENT FROM Bell Real Estate. In our experience, Bell Real Estate handled our daughter’s move-out poorly and unfairly. My wife and I own several rental properties and work with property managers in two countries, so we are familiar with standard move-in and move-out procedures. We personally cleaned the apartment when our daughter moved out and believe it was left in better condition than when she moved in. Bell Real Estate initially withheld the entire security deposit. We disagreed with the reasons provided and felt the supporting photos and explanations did not justify a full forfeiture. When we challenged their position, communication stopped until we involved an attorney. After legal involvement, Bell Real Estate returned the majority of the deposit, and we ultimately recovered about $400 after expenses. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend documenting everything carefully at move-in and move-out, including detailed photos and videos, and noting even minor issues on the move-in checklist.

Negative experience: This company should be sued. They are the worst possible landlord you can have in Eugene. 2/3's of their properties are in disrepair or are partially condemned. And they keep all damage deposits no matter how clean the tenant leaves the place. Don't rent from Bell.

Fantastic experience: Very polite understanding staff at Bell realty. Supper helpful and they always respond to anything that comes up. So far I have enjoyed renting under them and appreciate how kind and patient they have been.
Positive experience: This was my review of the apartment complex (1455 Mill St) This is my second experience with Bell Realty and I stayed in the same apartment the second time around. Because of my financial and credit situation, I was extremely grateful and thankful that the staff was able to work with me and move me in without any stress. Maegan and her staff were very communicative and helpful anytime I had a question or concern. The only reason I left four stars instead of five is simply because of the environment around the apartment. This is a college town and there are many houses neighboring the complex with partying students. The walls are thin so I would invest in earplugs and an eye mask if you choose to. Personally, it didn't bother me at all since I worked a graveyard shift and I wasn't home at night. Unhoused individuals do wonder around and dig through the dumpsters but they keep to themselves. I highly recommend not leaving ANYTHING of value in your vehicle and I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep your parking tag visible at all times! (I speak from personal experience) Aside from that, you are a good walking distance from several bus stops, downtown Eugene and the campus so I highly recommend this particular property!
Negative experience: If I can give anyone an advice, it would be like this: Do NOT rent from Bell. It’s the worst place to rent in Eugene.. period. And the reviews show for it, they don’t deserve even a 1 star review. Most likely you won’t get your deposit, good luck if you try to fight it because having a lawyer on retainer is a BIG advantage for them, even if you leave the place 100% cleaned, they would show their own old pictures to their advantage.
Fantastic experience: I generally do not write reviews on an organization/brand until all services have been completed; and as we have not completed our services with Bell Real Estate until we move out, I am happy to report what our experience has been so far. This review will be updated at the conclusion of our contract with them. Let me start by saying that Bell Real Estate has done a great job. We were moving out of state, requiring my husband to fly up weeks before move-in to view the property, meet with the agents, and also requiring me to come up weeks before my husband was able to join me in our new place. Anyone who has ever moved out of state knows how challenging it is. We have always received courteous and timely responses from Bell Real Estate making the process much easier. Throughout the process, Meahgan and Haley were communicative, professional and helpful. Initially I was concerned about the company after reading online reviews, but let me save you some time if you are reading this: we contacted several well-known realtors in the area who are colleagues of friends of ours and each one said Bell Real Estate has been around for decades and is solid. The fact that their headquarters are within 4 minutes of our property also is wonderfully convenient. One of the things I appreciated most about Meahgan was her flexibility on move-in day. I had a long road trip alone with our dog who was highly anxious during our packing and moving and I could not leave her in the car alone, so Meahgan offered to do all the final paperwork online and when I came by to pick up our keys, she walked them out to us at our car in the office parking lot. Now *that* is service! We are grateful for all the professionalism as well as patience with our questions and look forward to a good relationship with them in our new property as new Oregon residents.
Fantastic experience: I've been with Bell for multiple years, 2nd apartment now. I've always had a good experience with the staff and rentals. There was one issue that was resolved immediately. I'll be looking here for my next apartment when I outgrow this one!

Negative experience: Don’t rent from bell real estate. Try and rent with another company. Fighting for your deposit back will be hell. Everyday they make new rules. Just rent somewhere else.
Negative experience: major red flags all around. poor communication on managements end, poor upkeep on the properties, and overall not a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend avoiding renting from bell at all costs. they seem to have a fitting reputation for scamming people out of security deposits and imposing ridiculous fees
Fantastic experience: I was having a hard time finding a place in Eugene. Bell Real Estate helped me and I moved in shortly after finding them! The staff were kind, responded to me quickly, over all a pleasant experience. Megan’s services were prompt, and professional. She helped me move in with no stress and we all know how stressful moving can be.
Negative experience: Do not EVER EVER EVERRRRRR use this company. They will steal your money and deposit, and then REFUSE to contact you or interact with you at all. Sarah, the person I’ve had to deal with, seems to be allergic to work. She is NEVER in her office, she NEVER answers the phone, she ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to call me back, and have STILL had no contact with her since moving out- 2 months ago. Where else do you have to wait TWO MONTHS and still not have any contact from a company? Upon leaving the property, they made up false repairs, and charged me for things that weren’t my responsibility or in my lease, and have essentially tried stealing my money. I had over $1,000 dollars taken from my deposit that I’m still trying to get back 2 months later. Phony repairs that weren’t needed, and yard/property cleaning that wasn’t part of the lease agreement. “Put decorative shelves back up”. There were no shelving units in the home at all. Straight up lies. “Labor for planting new trees and removing dead ones”. Too bad “the spring storm” that hit Springfield happened PRIOR to me moving in, and wasn’t part of my lease. “Trip for asking maintenance to leane”. No, maintenance showed up at 5:30, saying he was actually supposed to be off at 5, and would like to reschedule another day. After saying they would be there that MORNING. Not at 5:30 when he was already off. YOUR mistake, not mine. YOU WILL BE ANGRY AND UNSATISFIED IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FRUSTRATIONS FOR SOMEONE ELSE!!! You will never be able to get ahold of anyone, and your needs and concerns WILL NOT be addressed. If you value your time and money, you will run as fadt and as far away as you can from BELL Realty. This is BY FAR one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. They are straight up thieves… DO NOT USE OR TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! EVERRRRR
Negative experience: BEWARE: Bell Realty does not enforce the parking pass that tenants are required to pay for. They allow anyone and everyone to come and take the very limited number of spaces which forces people who pay rent to park on the street. Do not sign anything with them unless you're willing to send money on things you can't even use.
Negative experience: This company makes its profits by not returning renters’ security deposits. They kept more than half of ours—well over $1,000–despite the apartment looking better when we left than when we moved in. One trick they use is to take far more photos of supposed dirt and damage when you move out than at the time you move in, giving the false impression that these are the fault of the tenant. Do not trust any of the young women property agents who work there, particularly Sarah. Do not rent from Bell if at all possible. If you do take photos of every square inch and get ready to take them to small claims court when you leave. The family that owns the company is rich and has been getting away with this fire years because college students don’t fight back and the rental market is so tight. They are horrible.
Fantastic experience: Was having no luck wading through the murky madness of finding a place to rent here in EUG/SPFLD. Applied numerous times for multiple places, mostly to no avail. Most property management companies in town won’t respond, or let alone even answer their phones or respond to emails. ALAS!…… Alisa S. from Bell Realty swooped down from the skies and took the reins! She made this maddening situation for me into a literal cakewalk!……I cannot recommend this company, and their sterling management team, enough. A++++ A.W. Major Springfield, OR
Fantastic experience: This is the most conscientious and thoughtful property management company I have ever dealt with. Tana is my main contact. She went the extra mile to take good care of me and my family as we moved in and got settled into our new home. She has continued to be consistently responsive and reliable as various issues and needs have arisen. I have never had to wait more than a few hours for a response when I have texted her. I feel fortunate and grateful to be in this home knowing that Tana and her team have my back.
Negative experience: I’m a tenant with Bell Realty, however my landlord is extended family, so I have a unique view which encompasses both sides of renting. Bell does not care about your investment as a property owner. The house I’m in, off Olive street in Eugene, is in a truly shocking state of disrepair that can only be blamed on years of poor quality work from Bell. The plumbing and electrical are a mess, the yard has had no improvements in what looks like years. Every time we request maintenance, they charge us! The fault lies with Bell, but they’ll pass along any charge they can. They do not perform repairs in a timely fashion either. Our second bathroom has been unusable for a month now… no signs of improving. I’ve attached a picture of the pipes under the kitchen sink that leak and yet, no one at Bell cares. It’s absolutely disgusting how poorly they care for another person’s property. I’m advising my relative so he’s more knowledgeable, it’s a shame they’re taking advantage of a well respected attorney in our community who is advanced in age too. As for being a renter, the house wasn’t cleaned upon move in, even though they stalled our move in date just so they could “make finishing touches”! There is black mold all over the bathrooms, due to poor circulation of the fans they don’t bother to repair or update. (The mold was here when we moved in!) The baseboards are grimy, the walls look dingy, all the window casements are full of years of gunk, the refrigerators on both levels have poor seals so the bottom of the door doesn’t make full contact, there’s a horrible nasty leak in the basement that we’ve requested maintenance on several times without any positive changes. I’m really concerned the leak in the basement is sewage but I can’t get Bell to do anything. There’s a leak in one of the pipes that also drains down the wall but they’ve done nothing to fix it. I’ve lived in multiple states, multiple property management companies, many different houses and apartments. I’m genuinely appalled at the level of professionalism they’ve shown and I will not be renting from them ever again. Even if the listing looks great, I don’t care. If Bell has any involvement, I’m renting elsewhere. I’d advise against renting from them under any circumstances nor would I recommend hiring them to care for your property investment.
Negative experience: Absolutely disrespectful and completely rude. Bad attitudes. When we called for maintenance our calls were never returned and we ended up having to pay for it all ourselves. Property manager had a cocky attitude and had a better than attitude. Worst company to rent from.
Negative experience: In the state of oregon you can qualify as a renter for the Renters relocation assistance program if your landlord raises your rent 10% but here at bell reality you can expect a 9.74% rent increase year after year not allowing you to qualify for the renter relocation assistance program. Quality work done by a not so quality company. Bell realty does not care about its renters it only cares about its bottom line. You will not be valued with this greedy company and with their less than favorable business practices. I do hope this helps some of you people looking for a good affordable place to rent.
Negative experience: Parents do not let your kids work with this realty company. They will lie and overcharge, taking advantage of you and your kids. I can’t speak for non-college rentals but for the college renters I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
Negative experience: Had one of their vans cut me off and almost cause an accident on 13th and Willamette. who ever drives the van with 868 ***, they should be fired before they cause an accident.
Negative experience: Absolutely a HORRIBLE experience. Would absolutely NOT suggest even trying to rent a property from these ppl. Their "requirements" are so ridiculous and just a source for them to gain money. If ur a stay at home mom or a domestic violence survivor, STAY AWAY. Money hungry, and they are so rude. They caused my trauma to resurface and had ZERO compassion. They are inhuman to real-life issues. AVOID at all costs.
Negative experience: When I first moved in with Bell, everything was going surprisingly well and I had the most amazing experience with Tana Schick. Recently, I moved into a different unit within Bell. The apartment was not cleaned, the lights and fan did not work, and my car got towed while I was technically under 2 leases. They will not pay for my tow or my cleaning services I had to do for my own move in. With the tow, they even contacted Bell regarding my car and no one stood up for me while it was registered under two leases. Currently, they are saying that things need to be cleaned from my move out and I will be charged for it from my last unit, but they are lying about their units being cleaned by other people. People show up, but they do the bare minimum. When I moved in, there was piles of dirt everywhere, used and unused band-aids in the bathroom, onions still in the drawer, it was just a nightmare. They just want to charge me more and not do anything. I cleaned my unit exceptionally better than the supposed cleaners who did my current unit, so I am expecting the majority of my deposit back and I will update my review after this is resolved.
Positive experience: Bell as a company is what you would expect. But I would like to shout out Tana Schick, she is AWESOME! Bell you need a dozen more like her. Understanding, helpful, and has the patience of a Saint. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: I was in a really rough place when I finally came upon the perfect apartment for me. I applied and Alisa S. with Bell immediately got in contact with me. She was so kind and accommodating. I felt like all of my questions were answered to the absolute best of her ability. When we toured the apartment she gave me tons of advice and it didn't feel like she was trying to push me signing a lease onto me. I really enjoyed my experience working with Alisa, I would really recommend requesting to work with her.

All of their maintenance staff is very friendly and get their jobs and the company said they contract through are also highly qualified
Negative experience: I would like to start this off with saying I have never written a negative review for a place until today, but I felt like I needed to share this! BE WARNED! Didn’t even get a chance to rent from them and had an awful experience. My friend and I were first in line for a house, and they sent us an email to move forward with the application process. I called an hour after I received the email, and spoke with someone at the front desk, who said they would move forward with processing our apps, and would reach out if they needed anything. Didn’t hear back for three days, and I called to check in on the status of our applications. Whoever answered my call didn’t pass along our request to move forward with the application process, and they threw our applications out because I “didn’t respond within the 24 hour period” EVEN THOUGH I HAD CALLED AN HOUR AFTER I RECEIVED THE EMAIL. They told me there was nothing they could do but put us back in line, or refund us. Due to their blatant mismanagement, my friend and I decided to get our money refunded, and look elsewhere for housing. I can’t even imagine what kind of experience we would have had if we actually ended up renting from them.
Positive experience: The down side of this company, is that if you don't get the home you pay a lot of money to apply for, they won't let you use that fee towards a different home. You just lose it. The up side, is that they are very nice.
Negative experience: This review is for Brian Kester, I would leave 0 stars if I could. The most unprofessional property manager I have ever dealt with. He is rude, unhelpful and condescending. Also, when he comes into your house he does not even offer to take this shoes off, he will walk all over your house with god knows what on his shoes. You will only hear from him if he wants to tell you something negative, he will not respond if you have questions or need assistance. He has ignored several issues I have brought to his attention. Within 5 seconds of meeting him it is clear he hates his job and his life. I dread having to deal with him... I am looking to move because of him. If you are looking at renting through Bell, I strongly suggest looking somewhere else, you will regret it. This company has gone downhill MAJORLY in the last year alone, I ignored the warnings and regret it.
Negative experience: I have been trying to get my deposit back for 3 months now. Terrible communication, phones never work, I would take legal action if I could. Do not rent with them.

With School starting just around the corner she was able to get the kids in this weekend September 9th. Positive experience: Rented from Bell the last 4.5 years and have had no problems. My property manager has been nice and they've generally been quick to respond to any maintenance requests I've had. (Found this review years later, they never gave me my deposit back)

Max - You moved out but your roommates stayed. You need to address the deposit with your prior roommates. We don't hold deposits for people - we hold them for the property. Deposits aren't refunded until all tenants have vacated. Once a roommate has moved out, they relinquish their rights to the security deposit - this is all stated in your rental agreement. Again, you would need to work this out with your prior roommates.

Positive experience: we rented from bell for 2 years, several things in the house were broken when we moved in and there were some shady repair jobs that had been done by the tenants before us ( property was not owned by bell at that time) the maintenance team was always really quick to repair what needed fixed. There was some lack of communication issues that happened through out with our point of contacts changing and us not being notified of who to reach out to. Got in contact with sarah Gonzalez the property manager who was always super sweet and very helpful and made sure we were given all the info we needed and pointed us in the right direction and was the first to apologize when things went wrong. She responds to emails in a timely manner which is important.

Negative experience: By far the worst rental company I’ve ever rented from. The only thing they did before we moved in was paint over everything and I mean everything they did absolutely no cleaning before we moved in I actually had to scrub the floors and fridge and everything else myself. they didn’t repair anything there were lights that didn’t work even when I changed the light bulb multiple outlets in every room that don’t work. Too many problems to fit in this review. I just wonder how a company that big with so many different properties can be so unprofessional it’s honestly sad!
Negative experience: Absolutley the worst rental agency i have ever been through not holding up to what they say or will do not abiding by lease agreements and expect me to pay 1000 a month for a house that i was paying 860 and weird nothing has been updated or fixed avoid these weasels at all possible
Positive experience: I am not a tenant yet. I am scheduled to move into an one bedroom upstairs apartment in Springfield in mid September. They were helpful in finding my first apartment. I did look at a couple affordable studios in Eugene which I wasn't first in line and they were rented to other prospective tenant. The one bedroom I am going to rent is affordable and I get a 1 bedroom which will be nicer for having guests. They transferred my application free of charge or offered me a refund of my application fee as my application hasn't been processed yet. The only real complaint I have was their inability to work with my schedule to view occupied units. I have a full time job and it was difficult to get into some of their units to view them. I understand that it is good to only show the unit once a week if it is occupied though. It was just frustrating to get into one of the times they set up to work around my work schedule. I also only had 24 hours to get all my Co signer information in plus the 25 dollar Co signer application fee in after being nofiitied i would require a co signer which wasn't too big of a deal for me. It bothered my mother who co signed more though. Otherwise, they are professional and a good company to rent from based on my experience so far. All experiences with property management companies can be bad though. Update: I have lived here for almost five years now. It has mostly been a good living situation. Whenever I have had a maitentiance request, it is fixed quickly. However, I work nights and in the recent months when I have gotten home from work, there is sometimes nowhere to park in the lot. I called the tow company but they say I must call the property manager. It is supposed to be enforced 24 hours. I understand this isn't necessarily the fault of Bell. Tenants and visitors should follow the rules regarding parking. The tow company should tow unauthorized vehicles. I have reached out to Bell multiple times and it seems like nothing has been done. There also isn't street parking available on the road my complex is located on. Second Update: I haven't had any problems with having available parking spots at my complex in a number of months. Knock on wood. Brent was very helpful in resolving the issue and he got a number of vehicles without permits towed.
Negative experience: Same type of rental company as most. Minimal/temp fixes on most major issues. Severely unprofessional maintenance.(caulked ceiling fan cover to the ceiling and left the site filthy for us to clean up. Left our door completely unlocked after a mandatory "inspection" that we were both at working during. (Severely unprofessional) Left apartment cleaner than when we moved in and was still charged $200 for cleaning. Just the usual milk you until the next occupant. Good response times. Nothing I hadn't expected. Just thought I'd let y'all know. Chances are you take what you can get in the rental market so this may not affect your decision at the end of the day but I wouldn't expect an ounce of humanity.
Negative experience: Bell is the worst real estate company in Eugene, do not rent from them. I lived in a rented home the past year and we had toilets overflow with sewage, rats, loose floorboards that were completely splintered, mold in the basement, and so much more. The management is rude and does not respond. Please don’t waste your time or money here.
Negative experience: A very lazy company. They don't respond to calls, don't help new tenants, don't offer any sort of flexibility, and will absolutely steal your entire deposit no matter how much you clean. Do not recommend, the low costs aren't worth it
Fantastic experience: Bell real estate has been one of the nicest and most helpful property managements that I have dealt with. They are always there to answer the phone and help with any questions. They take time to explain things to you, and dont sound like their annoyed with you, lol. Lori Robert's in particular was very nice, helpful and easy to communicate with when we needed some clarification on straightening out some confusion with our rental applications. Also Anya Pawelec was very fast in replying to us trying to figure out where we were in line with several different properties we applied to. Plus it really helps that your application can be on file for 3 months and even get a refund if needed (alot of property managements do not do that) I definitely recommend Bell Real Estate when looking for a rental
Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant of Bell Real Estate Inc. for five years. Overall, it has been a positive experience, and I have a superb three-bedroom duplex for the amount of rent I am paying. Also, I have nothing but great things to say for my Property Manager, Mr. Brent Breadner. Mr. Breadner has been a positive representative for the company. He has been responsive to my inquires and understanding of any issues I may encounter. I will miss being a tenant of Bell Real Estate, and I wish to live another five years in my wonderful home.
Negative experience: Horrible customer service. I arranged to view a house and received confirmation of the appointment. I waited for over 30 minutes to view the house and they never showed up. They also do not answer their phone. It was a huge waste of time and money as I drove two hours for the appointment. I reached out to management and never heard back.
Fantastic experience: Sarah is now the manager of Bell, since she joined the team everything has been done with efficiency. I defiantly recommend this property management team.
Fantastic experience: I turned In an online application and was contacted quite promptly by a staff member to inform me that the unit I applied to had already been reserved so it had been taken of the list of available properties.
Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of working with Mackenzie at Bell and she was awesome! She was super accommodating and it definitely felt like she went above and beyond to help us get into a rental that fit our needs. We have already had an awesome experience with the move in process and are looking forward to working with this property management company. We are just moving in, and hopefully the move out process down the road will be just as smooth!
Negative experience: Terrible management! Everything wrong with whatever place your in is all your problem. In the year I had... VERY BAD mold, flees, rodents, trees growing through walls, etc. Nothing was done no matter the ask. Do not rent from bell unless you absolutely have to!!! The general manger could care less about anyone else’s living situation.
Negative experience: Fore warning, They WILL rob you of your deposit to "repair" things that never had issues and claim you at fault for existing issues. Never will I ever rent from Bell again.
Fantastic experience: Mackenzie H. was super accommodating and very easy to work with. Very motivated to help and find the right place for me! Super appreciate the excellence and her going above and beyond!
Negative experience: Bell real estate are horrible and unprofessional. Workers are rude. They have no respect for personal space and constantly press "landlord/ tenate laws" further than they are allowed. Like telling my wife and I they have full right to enter our apartment, at anytime weather we are there or not. For over a month of back to back "48 hour notices". When they finally did come in to paint over black mold door jams, they left both of my doors wide open until I got home around 10pm at night. In an area where our car was stolen 3 times and constant break ins to vehicles. No apologies, just reminding us that our property is our own problem if something were to happen. If they want to paint lines in the parking area, you will get a notice that says you have a certain amount of time before they will tow it at your expense. They treat you as sub human. I could really go on and on but my biggest problem is lack of respect for personal space. Brent and Lori are the biggest violators of this. While we were moving out (still had 10 days left) Lori came by to show the apartment reguardles if we were there or not. But I was! So I got to hear all the stuff she tells or doesn't tell potential buyers. Every year they raise your rent. They even replaced our broken refrigerator with a mini fridge that didnt work AND it brought cockroaches into our home! They didnt even want to correct this until we mentioned cockroaches. Then we got a normal refrigerator. No help on loss of food due to cockroach fridge not working when it arrived. Someone with law background should really look into this business. Got 1 star from me just so I could let people know how bad these people are. Read other reviews from REAL people, you will see my wife and I are not the only ones they treat this way. UPDATE: Brent Breadner just emailed me that they are not only keeping our entire deposit, but also charged an additional $194 to us for "cleaning". We spent days scrubbing their black mold walls and cleaning everything. When our neighbor moved in to the unit next to ours, nothing was cleaned. Had a pile of dirt in the middle of the floor, but I bet the charged "cleaning fees". . Read reviews and save your money!
Negative experience: READ BEFORE RENTING!!! When we first moved in with Bell everything was fine. Two months before the lease was up, we woke up to growling and scratching coming from our vents. Obviously there was an animal trapped in there. The night it happened we submitted a maintenance request. We heard nothing from bell and the request was canceled the day after. Soon the apartment began to REAK, clearly this animal had died in the vents. Again a maintenance request was sent reporting the smell. Finally someone was sent out. When the worker arrived he realized he did not have the proper equipment to retrieve the animal and therefore he left saying he would tell his boss. Weeks passed the smell got worse we heard NOTHING. So I put in another maintenance request and included that I was concerned for our health. That request was canceled the next morning. Soon ants and flies began appearing. And I mean TONS of flies approximately 60 in each room (3 rooms) at a time. Not just house flies but FLESH FLIES. So I put in another request about the infestation, that was also canceled the next morning. So I reached out to the campus manager, who apparently had no idea of the situation. Soon I got a call from someone in maintenance and set up a time for him to come by after I was done at work. The day of the appointment I get an email stating that the person who was supposed to meet me showed up 45 minutes early and entered our apartment without permission, and proceeded to tell me there was nothing we could do we had to continue to let it rot. I asked Bell for compensation. And they refused to respond. Today we got our security deposit back we gave them $1025 we got $66 back. DO NOT RENT FROM BELL. Believe these horror stories.
Negative experience: So far, not that great. They don't seem to gave many available properties, have a long line of applicants when there is something you finally find, and have not been great at returning calls or providing helpful information. Hanging in there and hoping things improve.
Negative experience: Absolutely terrible to rent from. Me and my roommate were renting a house that didn't meet any of the legal requirements by a long shot, only 4 smoke detectors in a four bedroom house, unfinished hardwood floors that would give you splinters to walk on with nails sticking out. We figured it would be fine since it was cheap and that they were probably just very uninvolved. Then they had the gaul to take half of our security deposit claiming we 'damaged' a unit that was falling apart when we moved in. It was not cleaned when we moved in, years of built up grime and dirt everywhere, pipes breaking regularly and the power routinely went out. Not to mention that when we forgot to put batteries in a smoke detector they found it during inspection and charged us 400$ for a forgotten battery when the smoke detectors already didn't meet code. Hilarious. During touring season they wanted to be in our unit multiple times a week, often with the minimal amount of notice even though we knew they already found confirmed renters for the next lease. Do not rent from them. The poor quality of the unit and service would be ignorable if they weren't also trying to take you for every penny. Addition: From the get go they screwed up my move in date multiple times as well. No part of this process was easy.
Negative experience: Never answers the phone, very rude people working at this facility. Is doing house viewings during a pandemic, with people coming into my house. Also, you won’t get your security deposit back, take as many pictures as you can before move in and after you move out, they want your money and have no problem charging you ridiculous fees.
Fantastic experience: Okay ! Bell realty is fabulous ! Their application process is a dream and if you have the chance to speak with anya she makes the process super easy and she always checks back with updates and any concerns you might have . You really can’t put a price on good customer service !
Negative experience: Rented for years n never had any trouble getting deposit back until Bell. They stole my 1500$ deposit. We never had keys to the house but were charge for keys, stove n fridge worked but weren't in great shape we were charge to buy new ones, paid for bathroom fan that never wked and also charged because someone walked tar into the carpet although we had already moved 200 miles when this supposedly happened. Idk if it did or didn't but we never had Keys n couldn't lock door when we left but no proof of it. I painted n fixed many things left it better than we found it. NEVER EVER RENT FROM BELL.
Positive experience: We had some challenges with the units and communication with Bell Management until Sarah G took over our account. She was extremely helpful and very nice. If you can work with Sarah then you're in good hands.
Negative experience: very unlikely that you will recieve any of your deposit back even if you do a great job of cleaning and leaving no damage to the property. $120 straight off the top for carpet cleaning fee. Even if you leave the place spotless they send in a cleaning crew and charge you for there labor, my fee was $265. I would take a look at Von Klien Property management. No application fee. Plus a lot of there properies offer furnishing included at no additional cost. Move out was simple and recieved a lot of my deposit back. Good luck.

Positive experience: The application process was easy enough. We just dealt with horrible property management prior to Bell, so we were grateful to be able to move so quickly. They’ve been easy to deal with while living here. They respond quickly to maintenance.
Fantastic experience: Taylor and Olivia did an amazing job cleaning my apartment and getting it ready for move in. I was impressed that they even pulled the appliances out from the wall to clean behind and under them, wiped down the walls, under the stovetop, etc., and made it look shiny and new.
Negative experience: I rented from them 8 yrs. 3vtimes rhey raised the rent n gave me the notices w an incorrect address. It took months to get a correct notice. When I moved out, they refused to confirm my rental history until I gave a 30 day notice. Thank God my landlords lived onsite n they were able to confirm my 8 yrs of being a good tenant while I looked. Who gives notice n then starts looking? Nobody. When I asked what would have happened if I did give notice (it took me 3 months to find a place) when I first started looking and didn't find a place in that month, I would be expected to move out, I was told that was not their problem and I would have had to leave. My landlords were selling the building so I started looking. After I did give notice, they brought a perspective buyer two weeks before I moved (with no face masks in the middle of COVID) and had ME give the buyer a tour of the apt. NEVER RENT FROM BELL REALITY. NEVER. If you can help it. They are super abusive not only to you but your landlords.
Fantastic experience: Austin Anderson was so helpful @Bellrealestate Eugene, Oregon. He listened to my concerns and helped me pick the best option. He also scheduled a private viewing, before the unit was ready. Ive never had such Service. I recommend him to anyone who needs an apartment, or rental

She was able to answer all my questions or direct me to the correct person who could. I definitely will recommend renting from Bell in the future!

Fantastic experience: I did not end up renting a place from them, but Mackenzie did a great job during the application process. She was very responsive and worked tirelessly to get my application approved. She even went in a very messy place to give me a virtual tour due to Covid-19.

Positive experience: I have been renting from Bell Real Estate for a little over 4 years after owning my own home. My experience has not always been great or even acceptable. (There was a period of staff change in which the property manager for my home was unresponsive, unprofessional, and made me look at other options.) With Sarah Gonzales taking the position of property manager for my home, however, my experience has been great. Sarah is responsive, follows up, is professional, and more importantly authentic and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I have always been able to get ahold of my property manager Lori!!!! She has been such a blessing to my family. We have always been able to get repairs done as soon as possible!!! I have never had any issues with this company, I will be directing people to them in the future!
Fantastic experience: Easy, quick and AMAZING! My sister and I got a 2bedroom for a good deal but was too good to be true but with the help of Austin, he reassured us that it's legit and within 5days, we did the tour, and paid the deposit. I would recommend students to use Bell for apartment searching in the Eugene area.
Fantastic experience: I have been renting from them for 5 years and they are simply the best. The property manager Brett is a great guy and always quick to help. Also when I go into the office various different times, I'm greeted by the most lovely receptionist. Her name is Anya and she is an angel sent from the Lord. She is always smiling and super nice. She makes paying rent something to look forward to! Great people and great service.

Fantastic experience: The offices of Bell Real Estate Inc. could not have been more caring and professional. MacKenzie answered all of my emails and questions in a timely manner. MacKenzie also helped me to navigate getting the perfect apartment for my daughter who attends the UO. I would highly recommend Bell Real Estate Inc. The receptionist was friendly and professional. Renting an apartment, especially during COVID-19, can be very stressful but MacKenzie made it easy.
Negative experience: TAKES ADVANTAGE OF COLLEGE STUDENTS. My daughter responded to an ad that advertised no application fee and then was charged $75! After paying a ($700!) security deposit for A ROOM in a cheaply made BOX that she shares, no one got back to her for THREE WEEKS to let her know her move-in date. Then they were trying to make her sign a check-in list without her viewing the apartment and had no $100 gift card that they had promised her. After driving two hours, we arrived to move in and they had given her the WRONG KEYS and had NO PARKING PERMIT for her to park in the place she PAID FOR. Her roommates had no proper heads up and had only found out she was moving in only hours before our arrival. Unprofessional and unacceptable. I’m pretty sure any positive reviews were paid reviews. Save your time, money, and sanity and do not rent from these predators.
Negative experience: Horrible horrible horrible. Unprofessional: unable to reach anyone by phone. Unable to speak to anyone face to face at the office except for the receptionist. Maintenance requests were done terribly (I called about repair for a closet hanging stick and they just screwed it with the same rusty screw it had and it still fell off if I actually hung clothes on it). I had a parking issue where they GAVE OUT AN EXTRA PARKING PASS in housing by the university, where of course pre-covid it was hard to find street parking. For MONTHS my calls and emails went ignored without action. For months I paid my monthly parking fee and was never sure if I would have my spot. Calling the towing company was useless, since they did not authorize a car to be removed without a manager's approval and the manager never approved anyone getting towed. The worst property management I've ever even heard of! The property recently switched to Jennings and when I call Jennings, a real human being answers the phone! Now they're fixing the rusted over busted water heater in my unit that Bell "inspected" four months ago and found no issue with it. Bell is a complete trash of property management. If I owned property I would never trust them with it. As a tenant, I will never rent from them again. They're terrible for everyone. If I owned this building I would be furious at how badly its been managed.

Negative experience: Bell is the absolute worst. They will find any and all loopholes to take your money and tell you to rudly eff off. They said they were unable to verify my previous rental history. My current landlord showed me where she was on the phone with bell for 2 minutes and then detailed their conversation, the second one they couldn't verify is another large rental company in Springfield, so I don't know how you can't verify with them. I sent screenshots of the call Lori made to her and that there must be some mistake and have been ghosted since. They also marked me down as unable to prove my income and my employment, im self employed, pay taxes and gave bank statements. They pushed for a cosigner for me, my cosigner has credit more than the 650 they look for and makes nearly 6 figures. I was still denied and don't understand why, bell hasn't done anything to clarify. The city of Eugene really needs to get bell out of town. If I could give less than one star I would
Positive experience: I absolutely love renting through Bell Real Estate! My property manager is efficient and extremely helpful! Brent Breadner you rock! Any work that needs to be done, gets fixed properly and in a timely manner! Thank you Bell Real Estate!
Negative experience: Awful property management company. They told me I had an assigned parking spot, but ran out of parking passes but assured me it would be okay. Guess what my car got towed and they were impossible to get a hold of and when I did get a hold of them they did not care and would not refund me the amount I had to pay to get my car back. Terrible management company to work with as they don't care once you signed a lease. There is a reason all my neighbors moved out of the units after their lease ended and it was all because of how awful the management company was. I would never rent with these guys ever.
Negative experience: Sketchy policies. Even worst service. Awful RUDE GM refused to even have a conversation with me. I simply had a ?, not a complaint. They have no concept of customer service at all. I live near 1 of there properties. I always advise my friends who ask me to look elsewhere.
