Experiencia negativa: Maybe the finally got new management in the last six months since there finally getting reviews above one star? But in my experience TERRIBLE management. When living here I experienced issues with payment being applied to other accounts, charging me rent after I had ended my lease and ignored maintenance requests. Now after being moved out for OVER three years, I'm being sent to collections for charges that were never explained to me/charges that never happened after they didn't respond to me three years ago or reach out to me at all in these past years. Overall, 0/10 experience I would highly recommend not renting from this agency.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would. They don’t respond to calls or emails, take forever to fix broken items on rental properties, IF they even fix it, it usually takes multiple attempts to contact them first, then when you finally try and move out they want to charge for things that were broken before you even moved in and they never actually fixed to begin with.

Experiencia fantástica: I have just recently started doing business with red key so I cannot say much about the company until time allows me to. I will say as far as a person who works for them, Mrs Diane Kaye Is awesome! Mrs Kaye went out of her way to Help my family and myself find a home. So far, we all love this house and feel A great comfort being there. So thank you very much Mrs Kaye for giving us an opportunity to rent a nice home. If Mrs. Kaye is any example of what Red Key will be like then they too will be awesome But only time will tell

Experiencia fantástica: I have been renting from Red Key for a couple years now and this past week has been nothing but amazing. My air conditioning unit blew out Wednesday night, just a few days before an incoming Omaha heat wave (we all know how tough those are!). Within 10 minutes of submitting my maintenance request, Lisa with Red Key reached out to me asking what was going on. This is at about 6:30 pm on a Wednesday evening. From there, a technician had reach out to me and was at my house by 8 am the next morning. He diagnosed the problem, received approval from Red Key and my landlord, and had the new air conditioning unit installed and running by the time I was home from work Thursday evening. Within less than 24 hours, they had replaced my AC unit. That is RARE! With this, THANK YOU Red Key for this! I cannot be more thankful for a company looking out for their tenants like this!

Rescheduled for the following day at 7pm got a text at 5:30 pm the house had been rented Update within less then a day someone reached out and apologized ,explained what happened, and is now helping me on my search

Experiencia fantástica: I went on Google today just to find the phone number of Red Key and I seen the reviews. My mouth dropped because this is an amazing company. I have such an opposite experience of every day haters. I’ve been in my house for almost 17 years. I’ve been with Red Key for a portion of it when they took over and I’ve had nothing but great experiences!! The maintenance is wonderful. I’ve never had to wait for anything. They have a few teams that I have worked with and I’ve had not one negative experience. Matter of fact I would call them my friends because they treated me that way!! I would highly recommend this company. And if anybody needs to get a recommendation, you can reach me on my Google email! If I email or text the person in charge of maintenance, she replies right away I’ve never had to go without a reply.

Experiencia negativa: I went out to view two houses that this property management company was showing. The lady doing the showing was rude, and got mad about people touching things such as the garage door opener because the garage would no longer shut. FYI, to red key because I know they read these, if you’re renting out a home, future tenants should test to see if things work, no one wants to live in a piece of junk. One of the houses were dirty, and one smelled. The lady is unfriendly and is doing the homeowners a disservice by showing their homes. As a home owner who has my own property manager I would fire this company immediately and pick a new service.

Experiencia negativa: Awful company for renters. If you want to rent a house and be completely responsible for repairs and upkeep then this is the company for you. I’ve been in one of their rentals for just over two months and have now had a leak into my basement from the upstairs twice. The first leak I was supposed to have their maintenance guy come out but he ended up not being able to come out because a family emergency so I paid to have a plumber come out and fix it and asked them to reimburse me and after asking multiple times for a month about it they lied and said that their maintenance guy came and I wasn’t here so it was a no show and that they aren’t reimbursing me. I literally have text messages from their maintenance guy saying he couldn’t come out but they still said he came out.They also couldn’t be bothered to have the place cleaned before I moved in, they sent out cleaners the day after I picked up the keys to the house. Save yourself the trouble and go with any other rental company if you need a place to live.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! Crazy and rude. Unforgiving. Water pressure in the showers was like a light rain.. late one day on rent was like a hundred dollars +. Had to make multiple reports for a toilet that was broke and constantly ran increasing water use. 4+ calls!!! I lost my job and asked if they could give me time to pay Dec rent since I was starting a new job and they refused. The ‘attic’ had an open window that was discovered when a rodent was in the walls- snow was ankle deep on the maintenance man.. and icicles were on the inside driving our heating bill through the roof!!!! But would not break on 1600 rent!!! You could not toast bread and make coffee without the fuse blowing and some of the packets didn’t work— so we had extension cords running throughout. They put one of our rent payments on someone else’s account and charged us fees!!!! Worst place ever!!!

Experiencia negativa: Avoid Red Key Realty – Predatory & Incompetent Believe ALL of the negative reviews about this agency. Red Key Realty operates on greed-fueled, predatory practices while lacking even basic competence in property management. They prey on tenants who don’t know their rights, stacking excessive fees and refusing to provide proper documentation for the charges they demand. They misapplied my rent to the wrong account, then refused to acknowledge their mistake until I provided bank proof that they had already cashed my check. Instead of taking responsibility, they make tenants jump through hoops to fix their own errors. Now, after moving out, they refuse to provide an itemized receipt for the charges they claim I owe. They count on people not knowing their rights to dispute unfair fees. If you’re considering renting from them—don’t. You deserve better than Red Key’s incompetence and shady business practices.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT HERE. I have never written a review before . They sent debt collectors after my roommate and I after they LOST almost $2,000 that my roommate paid them on time- over 6 months ago (when we moved out) . The conditions of the apartment were unhealthy and unsafe to say the least. The stairs to get to our apartment from outside were falling apart and rusted, & the other entrance on the inside reeked of cat pee . If you are trying to save money , and the rent sounds nice , keep in mind that they will make you pay almost double your rent when you try to move out, so they can completely remodel the apartment- on your dime- and they might lose it! But at least they will send an email and say sorry after you show them all the receipts of you paying.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend Red Key to anyone looking for a rental. They will charge you for any possible thing they can think of. A friend & I rented a home well over 100 years old & WE were charged for basic repairs that come with the upkeep of such an old home. A year into our 2 year long stay, the house became infested with mice. This was a several month long issue. Red Key sent exterminators but sent us the bill because "they'd never had mice before." Responses to emails, calls, maintenance requests took at least a week if not longer & it was rare to have a pleasant experience when speaking with staff. Anyone they sent to the home for repairs or extermination were very pleasant but we unfortunately have nothing positive to say about the company or the staff. Also multiple times we contacted them about an issue, we would immediately get a response that included "improvements" we needed to make to the yard instead of simply trying to assist us or bringing up any real concerns separately. It felt as if if there was an issue with them, the response was always poorly counteracted with an "issue" with us that was unfounded. We also lived a few doors down from a home who we found was also rented from red key by a red key employee who had 5 (I think 6) dogs who very frequently got loose & their yard was always in disarray and in the entire 2 years we lived there not a single changed happened there, but if that had been us, we would have been threatened with fines as we had been once or twice. The most frustrating part of renting from this company was probably moving out. We did not move into a clean house, there was a lot of cleaning required before we could actually move our things in. When we left, we left it spotless. We even had professional cleaners come in after we cleaned it ourselves. The company did not do a single thing to "help" us move out & we know it did not require any cleaning and yet we were charged a $100 "move out fee" and for what? We also had gutter cleaning taken out of our deposit which was never written in the lease as a requirement & as a RENTER I don't see how that falls under our responsibility. The best part is where they took $800 out of our deposit for blinds. Sure, not every set of blinds was left in pristine condition but even if they replaced every single set of blinds in that house (that was not very big) twice, it still would not have cost even close to $800. Long story short, if you are looking to rent from them be prepared to pay for every last little thing & repair, whether it is written in your lease or not. 10/10 do NOT recommend. I was recently excitedly looking at a potential new house to rent but as soon as I saw Red Key as the realtors I immediately changed my mind. No matter how nice the property may look (however most don't look very nice at all) it is not worth it.

Experiencia negativa: For your sake, find a different company to rent through. I didn't have details of my move in until the day of the move in. My lease was not given to me until the date I was meant to move in. My move in had been delayed because they wanted to address issues with the apartment. The issues were not address and the apartment had not been cleaned. I then was responsible for coordinating the repairs and being present (per the contract) if they were in my space. I had issues with heating, cooling, water running, and bugs that were not addressed until after I moved out (I put in maintenance requests). I was charged nearly $300 dollars for water (two months) because of a pipe burst in the apartment that was in the laundry space. Most of that time my water was shut of because the pipe that burst was connected to my apartment. (This means that I probably was paying for the water that the washer used, when I didn't use the laundry because it was $1.75 per load for a half the typical size washer). In December my apartment was 84 degrees because the knob that controlled the gas was faulty (if I moved it from the off position it would heat up to this temperature). (I ended up not even living in the apartment for two of my eight months there were so many issues that were not being addressed). The lease was month to month, but I was not able to move out of the apartment 6 of the 12 months of the year. When they acknowledged my end date, but proceeded to not give me any information as to how to move out. I contacted them when the date came. I was never notified that they had actually went into the apartment after I moved out. I have never been notified of any deductions that were to be taken out from my deposit. I moved out at the end of February. As of August my lease still had not been cancelled and I was still being charged for rent on my account. I went past the property and someone else had moved into that space. But, I already knew that because I was still getting emails to notify me of entry. At least one of those emails included the new resident's contact information and mine. One of the emails included a bill including even more of their personal information. I reached out many times over email to get them to cancel the lease and give me my deposit back. I had to send a certified letter (the intended person did not sign for it) and a formal email with the letter attached to get them to acknowledge that they would look into it. As of today, I don't have any documentation that the lease was cancelled (I am not sure that this is typically given), have not heard from the company since, and still do not have my deposit back (A full months rent). Part of me is writing this so that they will notice and finally give me my money back, part of me is writing this to hopefully save someone else from having to deal with this company.

The lack of communication is frustrating the rental property we had was previously smoked in and that was not made known to us however i just want to part ways but again they will drag it out.

Experiencia negativa: I live close by a single family rental they manage. Since Red Key took over the home it has continued to only get worse and worse. The yard is never mowed while the home is not being rented(and rarely when there is a tenant), they hire what appears to be the sketchiest people I have ever seen to work on the home, and outside of the home is beginning to show its negligence. I would advise anyone to looking for a property management group that treats their property with professionalism *Update* I want to acknowledge that not too long after my review Red Key finally cleaned up the yard. Sad that a 1-Star review made them finally care but glad something was done. However in the 4 or so weeks since the new tenant has yet to to do any yard work so it looks like the cycle is repeating itself

I personally will avoid any property that is managed or ran by them in the future. This had nothing to do with the deposit or the owner. This review is based strictly on the interactions with Red Key as the property manager.

Experiencia negativa: This is Going To Be a Lengthy Review, I moved to this Redkey Property September 2020, First the company advertised that rent was 1000 monthly, False, When you get moved in they add a 10$ fee for maintenance fee which was not discussed or advertised. SO NOW ITS 1,010 monthly not a 1,000, then they don't tell you that they have a third party contractor Conservice for utilities, so your now paying Mud OPPD and this Conservice bill that's additional 65$ so now your rents 1095.00 from being advertised at a 1000.00, SO the False representation of 1000 is untrue, Then they nickle and dime you with every thing. They charge 102.50 late fee. THEY HAVE Lisa who is the property manager that is Rude ,Obnoxious will talk to you as if she's tough,and want you to be intimidated, They took most of deposit like I knew they would justify the unit was clean when I vacated. I have photos and a video to prove it they offered me the opportunity to correct a stain on my son's room carpet and wash the walls down then RESCINDED ON ALLOWING ACCESS TO DO SO, then took half of my deposit like I knew they would Justify with False Statement This company is Money Hungry Do Not rent From them steer clear of this Company. Add on red key did give me my deposit back as they should have, SoThank you. IT STILL DOESN'T EXCUSES YOUR WAYS.

Experiencia fantástica: I am just applying to house in Millard, and I haven't heard anything back yet, of course it being the weekend, I get it. We had some misfortune with literally the best landlord passing so we are forced to find a house in just a few days, maybe even to eventually buy. Diane Kaye is the one who showed us the house we were interested in, and she was absolutely fabulous. I don't know much about the company, however Diane Kaye makes me want to rent from this company. She is so full of life, charisma, and so caring. You guys have a wonderful worker, in her. My recommendation is purely based on her and her customer service skills, and how she made our showing of the house.

Experiencia fantástica: I want to start by saying that if you are in the market in Omaha to rent or buy, or have been in the last few years. I’m sure you are aware of how crazy the market is. My family was looking for a single family home to rent, and there is limited availability and most showings turn into open houses that may not happen for 1-3 weeks from the time you send the request to view the property. You then end up spending potentially hundreds of dollars competing for properties to get your app in first before the other 10 people at the open house just in case you like it. This was not our experience with Diane Kaye at Red Key Real Estate and Property Management. I reached out to inquire about a property and within 24Hrs I was on the phone with Diane scheduling to see the property that evening. The property was extremely well maintained in fact I believe Diane was keeping the landscaping maintained herself! I have spent most of my life in construction and involved with literally 100’s of realtors and property managements in several states, and I would like to think I can recognize when someone stands out! Diane absolutely stands out! From the time we walked in the door she made us feel at home, she was straight forward, approachable, welcoming, and made herself available for any and all questions we may have. If you are looking for assistance or advice for any real estate or rental situation, I urge you to reach out to Diane Kaye and Red Key. We put our applications in that evening and within 72hrs we were approved and scheduling move in. From there everyone that I worked with in the office, from Jasmine who helped me get all the paperwork in despite some technical difficulties to Alina who did the initial property walk through and helped schedule the needed initial repairs on the home and who remains on top of any of our maintenance needs, Red Key so far has been one of the easiest and best experiences I have had yet! Thank you to the whole team at Red Key, and especially Diane Kaye, for representing herself and Red Key so well!

Experiencia negativa: Let’s just say everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. The house I rented from Redkey was the WORSE place I’ve ever rented. On the day of my move-in I noticed there was a dining table, bench and shelving left in the house/garage, lots of bricks in the backyard (which a man came to remove bricks weeks after living there) and the lawn had not been cared for in quite some time apparently, also huge fallen tree branches. Excessive plumbing issues which caused multiple floods, floods in the bathroom, basement, master bedroom, garage and the kitchen. Ridiculous! The heat went out one night in the cold winter months although someone was able to come next day and fix it. The kitchen flood was the final straw, which I had to live with until the day I moved out. They offered to let me out of the lease early after only 3 months living there because of nonstop problems with the house. Wow! On top of that, I had to pay a $100 moveout fee because “it’s in the lease.” Not that the reason I have to move is my fault. One of the repair men told me “Redkey is wrong, they should not have rented this house because it is NOT move in ready.” If I had only known! Renting this house has caused me financial hardships and is one of the biggest mistakes ever. It has also caused me mental and emotional distress. I literally had to move 3 times within 3 months because of this house (moving out of my old place, into the Redkey property, and the new place after Redkey). No sympathy received whatsoever from Redkey. They will certainly address issues when they arise but the amount I paid in rent I would think those type of issues with the home should not have happened. The staff were nice on most occasions but sometimes not because of my frustration with the problems. I wouldn’t wish these type of problems on anyone. Good luck if you are thinking about renting from here!

Experiencia negativa: I bought my house three years ago through this agent. I was told to "buy it as it is" since it is a good deal. I followed Kevin's advise then I ran into numerous issues, such as spending 9K to do the pest control, fixing the uncovered power outlets, cleaning and replacing the carpet,... It was a nightmare as a first-time-house-owner! They just wanted to close the deal sooner, take their commission, give you lots of empty promises, and won't take any responsibility! Please avoid this agent since they are unethical and irresponsible.

Experiencia negativa: I was being shown an place an was told I will not rent to a single mother because she’s scared I won’t be able to pay rent. But she’s didn’t know I wasn’t a single mother and I have a very good job. She was asking me personal questions if I had any benefits from the state that had nothing to do with renting. Very unprofessional business and not to mention the place they showed me had dead roaches on the floor. The place was destroyed like it wasn’t even fixed/clean before they showed me it. Really thinking about taking this to the state so they get shut down!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I had a hard time renting from Red Key and haven't been able to speak on it due to legally signing a contract that said I couldn't review them until 3 months after my lease ends. They didn't show up to the first showing they scheduled. Our realtor Dianne was extremely rude and condescending to us college aged renters. To the point where it was extremely unprofessional and blatant disrespect. The only bright spot was an employee named Prithee who was very nice and helpful when we spoke to her. Also we had to beg for months to get out deposit back. Also Dianne knowingly decieved us about the parking situation they were were promised and the working of our broken washing machine.

Experiencia negativa: I was disappointed in renting my place because the place was not cleaned (boarders not cleaned, under fridge, stove, stuff left in basement, under kitchen sink, garage, etc.) nor checked before moving in, found out a dog was in this house which we figured out by the insane amount of dog hair all over and it was buried in the backyard, anyway, my family and I cleaned the entire house ourselves prior to moving in...then was having issues with bugs, the first person I talked to about it was not helpful, and pretty much tried to blame me (not good customer service on that end, that was belittling my character which I do not appreciate - was not residing in the house long at all) NEVER experienced bugs in ANY place I lived in, BUT I have to give credit to Alina, she has made me at ease with the situation and other maintenance issues, she communicates in a timely manner and is patient with answering any question(s) I had, ensuring the job gets done. She is my go-to, THANK YOU Alina :) She alone made my experience with the company better! The owner of the house, he is AMAZING as well, I cannot say enough good things about him!

Experiencia positiva: EDIT: Lisa took time out of her night to call me right after this was posted to clear things up. I have a lot of respect for calling outside of work hours to clear up bad water. Thank you Lisa for everything! I was removed off the lease of my old rental due to me relocating for work. When I left I had all my payments current (also paid a $200 fee plus my rent payment). The paperwork I got stated I was removed from all financial responsibilities (leaving the three other folks I was living with on the lease). I haven’t heard from RedKey since leaving the property. No one has reached out ONCE. I was told that I was good to go by who I would assume to be the owner of Red Key (Kevin). Out of no where I receive a threatening email about outstanding debts that I don’t owe with no information regarding the issue. Red Key is impossible to get ahold of and their communication isn’t good at all. They were slow to reply when I had questions about getting off the lease and answering any sort of questions when I had called. My experience with them I was hoping would be a painless and easy experience, but it has been nothing like that. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend RedKey to anyone due to the lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and lack of organization. I’m hoping that getting this error cleared up with Red Key will be easy and painless and I will update this with the results…

Experiencia negativa: Is there an option for zero stars? I rented a house (4712 N 107th St.) through this company and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I was hopeful initially as early on into renting the basement flooded and they were very responsive and got the issue taken care of very quickly... but unfortunately this is where the good experiences ended and the bad began. 1. It was not disclosed to us we were unable to utilize the fireplace until we moved in (one of the reasons we were excited to rent this house). 2. The house was not move in ready at the start of our lease. There was furniture left in the house, scuffs all over the walls, dirty door, and worst of all a whole pile of trash left in the back yard. 3. There was a storm at the beginning of summer (June or July) that caused a branch to penetrate the roof. We made Red Key aware and the issue was not addressed by the time we moved out (late September). There was water damage on the ceiling of the guest bedroom so I can only imagine the water damage and possible mold in the attic. 4. The move out process was dreadful. We signed a one year this and this company requires you inform them you are moving out... Shouldn't it be assumed you are moving out once your lease is up unless you sign another lease? Thank goodness my husband and I took photos of EVERYTHING before moving in because when we moved out they attempted to charge us hundreds of dollars for damage that was there when we moved in. I took me over two month after moving out to get our return deposit settled. They took over half of our deposit which was not warranted. I only accepted the amount they offered after two months of back and forth and non-responsiveness because I physically and emotionally could not deal with Red Key any longer. I would never rent from this company again and would not recommend them to anyone.

They went out of there way to move me in in the time frame I asked for even tho it was kinda short notice and right before Thanksgiving holiday. The property is really taken care of and clean . Experiencia negativa: I currently rent from red key in a sub division out west. I must say, for the price we pay over 2k a month, you would expect great service with any maintenance issues. Not the case. It has been over two months since we have submitted our maintenance request and still nothing has been done I left messages and emails. Do not sign a lease with these people! 14/30 rule is all I have to say. Have a letter prepared in advance if you do sign.

Experiencia positiva: Well because this is my first time visiting the Red Key Estates, I really didn't know what to expect but Real was in the State of Nebraska. They were Really transparent about the listing that they had available and the listings that were waiting to be updated. So many of the online listing are in a lil RED TAPE and I am being as patient as I can be, but time is NOT on my side!

Experiencia negativa: Not organized at all, bookings are scheduled and canceled last minute. Pictures online of homes are outdated an some don't look like the properties in person. Properties online also aren't updated as to what is forsure available, a lot are ran down and nothings been cleaned or yard work done at time of walk through. Feel if they are asking large amounts for these homes, they should reflect that.

Experiencia negativa: Rented from this property for slightly over a year, before I decided it was a waste. By the time I moved out I had to throw away half my basement due to flooding that was never fixed. Also multiple leaks in the ceiling from water as well. Also, Any maintenance request barely got fixed and when they did they were halfway finished. And don’t be surprised if you get charge for an email for them to contact you! Take my advice don’t waste your time or your money.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been in this property for 2 weeks and so far have no regrets about working with Red Key Real Estate. I was brand new to apartment hunting and was thrilled to find a management company that I liked! Jose has been awesome! Both checking in at every step to make sure I know what's going on and very patient with any of my confusion. Though it is the only management company I have worked with; I would definitely recommend Red Key Real Estate as a great starting point for finding your next property!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been living in a duplex house for a couple months now through Red Key Real Estate, this morning I had a bit of trouble by forgetting my keys inside my home. I called Diane Kaye, and she gave me information on when the office would be open to get my door unlocked (office hours are 9am - but I called at 8am, running late to work) she came out of her way to come help me open my door. She has been very helpful ever since I moved in, she is very informative and reaches out in a timely manner. I’d recommend Diane Kaye for anyone looking for a new place. She is great at what she does!!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would. I have never dealt with such a poorly ran business until now. Property manager Kevin is a JOKE and has no clue on how to treat tenants with manners, the communication is god awful & They tried charging myself and roommates for a $343 late fee for ONE MONTH (which was NOT late on our part, THEY lost the freaking check and never told us until half of the month was over, we actually had to call them on our own accord to find out why they didn’t deduct our rent money!) and then had the nerve to try telling our landlords that we were late handing in the check?! Are you kidding?!?! I will never recommend going through this company to ANYONE!

Experiencia negativa: I rented a home from Red Key and had a horrible experience. They were unresponsive to repair issues and there were huge communication issues. They often sub-contracted our repairs because their own maintenance people were over-booked. Be ware that your property will not be maintained well if you choose to rent from them.
