Experiencia negativa: Hands down the WORST management company I’ve ever experienced. They lie. They do NOT adequately upkeep their properties. They also take zero responsibility and do not attempt to fix things. They once suggested that WE should purchase things from Amazon to fix their leaky shower door. We were handed a dirty unit (food splatters in the microwave, dirt embedded in the shower as well as a fresh muddy foot print! They also just don’t care at all. I have been voicing complaints since move in and their answer is “okay you can break your lease and leave” - meanwhile we still get scalded by intense hot water in the showers and sometimes cannot get cold water to come from the sinks. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! You’ll pay a luxury price to live in filth and cheaply renovated units. And if you’re truly lucky like us and live at Preserve at Cabrera you’ll get a leasing agent who lies, pressures you, charges you illegal fees or you’ll “lose the unit” and screams in your face!

Experiencia negativa: Came in Marquette management on the 4th floor. The elevator door opened I felt uncomfortable unwelcomed when I was speaking to Nancy. Nancy was Very rude, unhelpful, When I asked to speak with staff that was walking up and down the hall to my left. To get answers about who is in charge. I feel like at the property I live at I am not getting the help from the office staff at the place I live at. I cannot believe the excuses I have gotten from people at Marquette Apartments. so I found out that the office had a main office here in Naperville so I thought maybe I will be able to get some answers but it just seems like that I'm not going to. I have one huge issue that is not being taken care of so I have pictures of documents and nobody seems like they are too concerned. Here is the main problem that I'm having we are having an abundance of flooding a dirt is washing away. The worst part is that you could see where the water has washed away the dirt against the building and pipes are able to be seen exposed. the worst part is that the STANDING WATER is breeding ground for mosquitoes, Ducks and Geese and diseases, Nobody seems to be concerned. Back in January of 2025 we had a January thaw where the snow melted in the gutters had thawed out enough that the person above us it had leaked into are apartment they did a temporary patch then three times they replaced the gutters and still they moved opening in the gutter 10 ft from my door and they caused this flooding that I am having now.

Experiencia fantástica: I currently live at a Marquette-managed building in Chicago, and over the weekend I experienced the unthinkable — a pipe leak caused by a neighboring unit leaving their window open, which resulted in water damage to my apartment. During such a stressful and overwhelming situation, the support I received was truly unreal. A huge shout-out to my Regional Property Manager, Paris Allen. She responded to my email in real time at 10 PM on a Friday, which alone speaks volumes. She provided immediate support, reassurance, and accommodations without hesitation, and I am beyond grateful. With the holidays just passing and the first of the month approaching, the sudden burden of hotel costs, food expenses, and emergency arrangements would have been extremely difficult. The fact that the property management team acted so quickly and compassionately meant more to me than they probably realize. It is rare to find property management that genuinely prioritizes residents over property, but in that moment, I truly felt put first. Thank you again — 10/10 service. This experience meant so much to me and my family.

Experiencia negativa: Ongoing extremely bad experience with their Haven of Ann Arbor property in Ann Arbor. Our unit flooded three days ago due to a faulty pipe connecting to the washer (this has been part of an ongoing pattern of faulty equipment and crumbling infrastructure). We spoke on the phone with Lindsay Achatz, who, instead of being apologetic and resolving the situation said that she "did not want to respond immediately" and "needed to toss it around" before getting back to us. She also made it clear that the decision was up to her so it is not as if she needed to consult her superiors. She is employing delay tactics in what is an extremely unsafe, disruptive, and stressful situation for us. Extremely unprofessional, negligent management. We are still waiting to hear back about when we can move to a new unit. We are experiencing trouble breathing in our apartment and nobody at Marquette even offered to relocate until we specifically called to ask. We are paying out of pocket to stay at a hotel and still do not have confirmation whether hotel expenses will be covered. Negligence on the part of the Marquette management group led to an unsafe living environment in our home, extreme disruption to our lives and Marquette has been very rude and unresponsive.

Experiencia negativa: So I’ve lived at Carol Stream Crossing for 3 years and it’s been a horrible experience. Around 2 years ago (2022) management tried to cook their tenants alive. This happened to all of the taller buildings on Gundersen Dr. these buildings don’t have wall units for AC what they do have are fake thermostats in every unit. They are fake because you can’t switch to heat or AC on a whim like you’d expect instead management controls if you have access to heat or AC when THEY decide it’s appropriate. So one day it was 90 degrees outside but they wouldn’t turn the AC on! They claimed that they were at the “mercy”of their ONE vendor that is HVAC certified to come out and work on the heating/cooling system. Okay fine but why wouldn’t you have all of your maintenance staff be HVAC certified? So you’re not at the “mercy” of a completely separate vendor? Not sure but it probably cost Marquette management way too much money to do that and they HATE spending money on ANYTHING around this property. So after repeated complaints via email and phone calls threatening legal action and reporting this incident to Carol Stream’s village office. They FINALLY got their one and only vendor to come out and get the air to come on. Of course during that time another tenant in my building had to be carted off in an ambulance for heat stroke and my wife got so sick from the extreme heat she kept throwing up and we had to stay with her parents for a couple of days. But hey their entire leasing office is always properly temperature controlled so they didn’t know what it was like they don’t live here so screw the tenant’s am I right. The Maintenance team we do have is ridiculously slow it takes weeks upon weeks that turn into months upon months on end before something gets fixed if it’s fixed at all. When asked about why it takes so long to get things fixed I was told that they just don’t have enough maintenance workers on staff and at the time of writing this review they still don’t. You shouldn’t run an apartment complex if you don’t have enough people to fix all the broken stuff around and in the apartments. The outside doors to get into the buildings are almost always broken or cracked and don’t close properly so much for security. The garbage will and does get pilled up for weeks at a time even though tenants pay $25 bucks a month for garbage service which is a joke as you can see in the picture I posted with this review. The hallways in the building I lived in where always gross other tenants trash in the hallways the elevator and one set of stairs always smelling like old urine. Has the maintenance team ever heard of a vacuum or carpet cleaner? Do you like to take hot showers? Of course you do but if you are taking a hot shower for too long even with the fan running the walls will LEAK old nicotine goo from people who have smoked cigarettes in the bathroom in years past which is hilarious because they send out emails once or twice a month reminding everyone that this is a smoke free building but they don’t take the time to redo everyone’s walls to get rid of the gross nicotine because that would cost to much money for them to do so they just let it be gross. Lastly as I’ve mentioned before they are charging $1700 and up for a one bedroom which is insane to me that they want that much a month from people when they don’t fix anything that breaks and the hallways are always dirty. If you have that kind of money to spend on a place to live I severely encourage you to take yourself and your money elsewhere. Definitely not here Maquette management just wants your money nothing more they do not and will not care about you. DO BETTER MAQUETTE!

Experiencia negativa: I have an URGENT problem with one of your buildings and no one answers the phone. I have been calling several times a day since Monday (today is Thursday). I left like 5 voicemails and no one calls back UPDATE: Your response is not accurate. Management of my building is not helping me to solve the issue. She only wants my money and she is obligating me live in an unhealthy environment(second and third hand smoke). She is not even answering my emails anymore so please don’t state that we are working together to solve this issue. Please answer the phone

Experiencia negativa: I am having an issue with my security deposit at the property I rented at in Bradenton, Florida. Called the corporate office to escalate the matter, and dealt with the most unprofessional, rude, and ignorant secretary ever. She refused to give me her name or transfer my call to someone who could help with my issue. Do not rent from any property managed by Marquette Management, Inc. as you will never get passed the secretary to speak to anyone to help you.

Experiencia negativa: Marquette took over the apt i rent in MI. They are misplacing over 50 residents who receive section 8. The mgr looked me straight in the face and told me i have no lease. When i told her i had just resigned my lease, she replied oh thats their lease not mine. WHAT??? Her signature is on the paperwork. They wont fix anything in any apt where the tenant receives sec8. Making them fail their inspections. Therefore leaving them with 30 days to move. There is no law protecting the renters. And if u cant find a place or come up with 1st and security deposits to move, not only are you homeless. But u lose ur sec8. Leaving single mothers, the elderly, ppl with health issues in crisis. Trying to find a home in 30 days is crazy for anybody. But for ppl who have to find a place, wait to get it inspected and then wait for approval and then being given the ok to move. That all tales time. A lot longer than 30 days. They should be ashamed. 6/9/22 i see the reply of the owner. its a messaging service. no real person. i left a message lets see if i get a call back

Experiencia negativa: In regards to Carol Stream Crossings Properties - I am writing this now as I am planning to leave my apartment to check into a hotel. The temperature in my apartment is above 90 degrees. It has been this way for 3 days. There is no sense of urgency on the part of management to fix anything at this complex. Currently feeding my small dog pieces of ice so she doesn’t go into heat exhaustion. This company would rather let you roast in your unit before spending additional funds to fix genuine safety issues. My experience has been horrible since I first moved in three years ago. I continued to stay due to the low rent costs. DO NOT RECOMMEND. The first unit I was in had severe flooding issues and my living room window would leak during any rainstorm. Management actually requested I sleep in my living room so they could “perform repairs.” By the way my living room was flooded too. I’m willing to bet that unit is still experiencing flooding issues…Ultimately I moved into a different unit after having to March down to the leasing office and demand a different apartment. When I moved into the new apartment both toilets were leaking from the base. Luckily those were replaced immediately. Since that time, I have regularly had to wait WEEKS for necessary repairs to be completed. On two separate occasions my washing machine was full of standing water and the office neglected to fix it for over two weeks. Yes, my washing machine ended up having mold in it. And no, the office didn’t clean it. I currently have water damage on my bedroom ceiling. I was told this would be fixed last week, of course it is still present. Now, I am slow roasting in my apartment. The leasing Office claims they are working to turn on the AC in the building but has offered no temporary solution for tenants beyond advising us to remain hydrated and eat popsicles. Let’s hope that the 5th floor tenants survive this problem. People have small children, pets, and elderly relatives in these buildings (all high risk groups for heat stroke and exhaustion).

Experiencia negativa: They recently sold the complex in Texas (Marquette at preston park)I am living in and sorry to say it was shady at best. Not only are they claiming the mandatory move in checklist that details the issues with the apartment at move in didn’t ever exist (which multiple residents including myself have copies of) but they also left me without a working fridge for two months and without ac for a total of a week and a half in mid summer TX. In addition for those moving out they never transferred over the proper move out documentation to the new property management company taking over claiming it was all in a portal that they deleted. Property manager Gina told me I am just having a bad week when I brought these issues to her after relaying the above two along with flooded kitchen due to broke garbage disposal, dishwasher improperly mounted leaving it to practically fall out of the counter every use, and MANY more. They were unhelpful in every way. I would like compensation for the spoils groceries/having to eat out since my fridge was broken and they said it was fixed each of the 7 times over two months (documented) I asked them to fix it.

Experiencia negativa: over priced for the service they provide. when I moved into one of their 3 bedroom apartments at 5000 a month there were kitchen drawers missing or hanging off the rails, the water didn't work the entire place was dirty, there was urine on the patio. I had to spend the next month letting maintenance come in and fix everything AFTER I moved in. Water isn't working? You don't have AC? These are obvious issues that should have been caught before a tenant moves in. But it is the policy of the Catalyst that the tenant has to do the move in inspection and identify everything that is wrong and then while they are trying to move in they have to accommodate the building coming in to fix the problems that should have been fix before move in. This is a cost saving measure by Marquette and it's disgusting and I will never rent from another building that is managed by them. They are the WORST!!!!!

Experiencia positiva: Bob, in the office has been very good at resolving minor problems and maintenance is excellent. But I feel the outside of the property has not been kept up as well as previous management. There are weeds in the grass and many of the wooden signs should be straightened or replaced. The pool area, barbeque area and dog run are all nicely appointed.

Experiencia positiva: We lived at the apartments located at 4701 Preston Park Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093 for eight years. It has maintained it's charm and being a nice place to live. Since we've been there, it has changed ownership three times. We really enjoyed how things were run when we first moved in. I can't say the same about the subsequent owners. I will say, the maintenance crew remains top notch! Of course rents have gone up and up. In the end, it just made more sense to buy a home then continue to pay comparable rent.

Experiencia positiva: We truly love living here. Good service and very comfortable. The one thing that we don't understand is the water. Scalding hot water comes out of the cold tap. Even the toilet, you can feel the heat of the water when your sitting there. Super hot water. Over time it returns to cold but can take 5-19 minutes for it to clear. We have seen plumber here several times but still it's the same. Dangerous the water is truly scalding. Why can't this be repaired?? The only issue we have

Experiencia fantástica: Been here over 8 years. Changed apartment floor plans as needed for family changes but since they had 1,2 or 3 bedroom apts, it wasn’t a problem. The 3 bedroom even had a 2 car attached garage. Managers have came and left; maintenance personnel have came and left, but over all the complex is well located, has good residents, and we have felt safe. We’re ready to extend for another year. All apartment facilities and managers have issues, but we have worked with the office personnel and issues were resolved in a fair manor. Personal Safety, in unit washer/dryers, actual location and sprinklers (fire protection) were our main reasons for moving here. Great place to live!

Experiencia fantástica: Having moved here just a few months ago after downsizing from a large house, I remain in the process of getting used to living in my apartment. The experience has been most pleasant, however, even if I still do not have everything organized as I would like it to be. The apartment itself, with its vast window space, is cheery, quiet and comfortable. The staff has been most responsive to any requests I have had. All in all, I look forward to continuing to live here.

Experiencia positiva: I have just completed my first year here at Highpoint. I have some great neighbors and I like my apartment. I have noticed since the change in garbage companies that the pickup is worse.Garbage is left in the bins for weeks, in front of 1334,the garbage has been there for 3 weeks.They used to clean after the pickups, now the trash is left on the ground. I'm afraid that we will get rodents.

Experiencia fantástica: I have lived at Highpoint now for the better part of a decade. I’ve always been greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces when interacting with any and all of the staff. They always go above and beyond to ensure that anything that I have needed is taken care of both professionally and fully. Even with today’s maintenance request. Experiencia fantástica: Met with Kristen today about lease renewal. Very pleasant took the time to listen to my concerns and didn't rush me through anything. She was very pleasant and helpful. Experiencia fantástica: Love living here! I feel like I live in a resort, with the pool, club house, pool tables, gym, and actual 1/2 gym. The grounds are beautiful, we enjoy walking around or riding our bikes. The neighbors have all been very helpful and friendly. My kids are really enjoying it as well. Good area for bikes and skateboards. Close to anything! Maintenance has been great with my issues. Management at the complex has been very hands on, love the people in office! They make you feel like an old friend!

Experiencia positiva: I have lived for close to two years at Club of the Isle (managed by Marquette) in Galveston, TX. For the most part, I have liked my apartment and the grounds are kept relatively safe/clean. My three primary issues include: 1) A lack of transparency in rent prices and increases for the apartments (market-price is a nebulous term and somehow always seem to indicate an increase), 2) It an often be difficult to reach office personnel during open-hours (during the pandemic, we are not allowed visit the front-office in person), and 3) I believe everyone in Galveston knows our entry-code and our pool is quite often populated with folks who do not live in the complex (most of the time they park in the front-office lot instead of by the resident buildings or ask "where is the pool at?").

Experiencia negativa: We moved into the Westmont village apartments about a month ago. This is one of about 7 holes in the floor of our apartment. The electric is not up to code. There is water damage everywhere and the walls are peeling and chipping. We've gone back and forth with Debbie *the manager*, placed dozens of calls, sent dozens of emails and yet here we sit a month later with nothing being done. We were given three separate dates as to when construction was supposed to start and all three have come and gone with nothing being done. We've asked Debbie several times for her bosses name and number and she's refused. I'm not quite sure how this woman is still manager here considering there are reviews from over a year ago claiming she's been doing this for over a year and yet you've done nothing. I personally called and emailed you at Marquette at least four times with ZERO response. You've had over 30 days to address this. I CALLED YOU AGAIN TODAY, TWICE, AND SENT AN EMAIL WITH ZERO RESPONSE. It is 7:30 at night on Monday, July 13th, if I don't get a response within 24 hours I'm calling every news organization in the area, sending them every picture of this apartment I have, I will call every code enforcement agency in this state and I will retain a lawyer. RENT FROM ANYONE BUT MARQUETTE!!!

Experiencia negativa: No response from the call request! My experience with this management company has been absolutely terrible. Broken gate, no lights on at entry, they only have security part time now. 2 car jackings nearby and both times the assailant ended up in our neighborhood. Management told me "I shouldn't be worried" Seems okay if you don't LIVE here. Now the problem has escalated. The management is feeding feral cats/rodents in the area right outside the clubhouse! The girl admitted herself to doing it!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place a zero I would!!! Management is terrible., I have only lived here one year and they have been through three different managements. I’ve had several issues upon move in -the apartment finishes were messy and unclean. The outside door NEVER locked and anyone could walk in. The fire alarms were shut off for about 3 weeks because “someone kept pulling the alarms.” Later we found mold in our closet. We had requested this matter be fixed promptly because we were still bonded to our lease. However, maintenance came by and only painted over it but lied to us to believe it was completely gone. Due to the neglect to affectively do the job we have discovered more mold (oct 5th)in the same closet in the same area but WORSE! Which has ruined everything we had in that closet including my newborn’s diapers ! We addressed this immediately to the property manager Debbie and she told us she was busy and could not speak with us! Are you serious?! Finally we went back to the office that day and she nonchalantly talked with us. Still the issue is unresolved but we are moved out ! I refuse to live in the slums ! Do NOT rent from them. They do not care about their tenants nor the upkeeping of their property. No one should have to live in a mold infested apartment where we are paying over $1200, in which it’s NOT worth. On top of that I have a newborn baby! This is absolutely unacceptable and deems liable for a lawsuit.

Experiencia negativa: I just moved into a new building run by Marquette Management and it's been nothing but hell since I moved in. The average wait time for a response from the office is about 2 weeks and I have to constantly send emails in hopes of a response. It took them 6 weeks to fix a hole in my floor that happened before I moved in. Maintenance entered my unit without my permission and without any prior notice, or even a notice at all, which is illegal. I haven't been receiving mail for 6 weeks and they're telling me it's the post offices fault, it's not, I called and confirmed, that's a federal offense. The leasing office failed to mention that the building wouldn't be fully up and running with amenities until September, so I'm paying a premium price for an unfinished building for 3 months!? I was also told prior to signing that Everywhere Wireless was an internet option, that was a bold lie, it is not an option and I was just told yesterday it will not be an option, that service was a large factor in me signing at this building. It took 6 weeks just for me to be assigned a mailbox and receive a mailbox key. They've already argued with me about a package that Amazon confirmed was delivered and the building somehow misplaced and then tried to argue with me about it. Overall I've had a horrible experience and I'm filled with regret. Mostly tho, the missing mail and entering my space without permission is what I'm infuriated by. I no longer feel safe in my own home and as a single woman safety is incredibly important. Truly dissapointed.

Its super annoying when they charge for a dependent person for letting us live in their community. Please people make sure u know all of this drama before they surprise u.

Experiencia negativa: Marquette is the absolute worst management company I’ve ever dealt with—even worse than anyone I rented from while living in a third world country for 5 years. Read your lease carefully. When they say they may occasionally have to enter your apartment, they actually mean that they’ll be dropping by whenever they feel like it and there is nothing you can say or do about it. They do not schedule a time with you to enter when you will be home. They come in whether you are there or not, and whether you agree to the visit or not. If you are wondering, no, I don’t owe any money nor have they had any other reason to stop by. I’m the kind of person you’d want renting from you. I pay my bills on time—usually early, I keep my place clean, I take good care of everything, and I have never complained—even though their plumbing is pretty bad, they do randomly turn off the water, their parking situation is the worst, and they do other annoying things constantly. I let all that go, but this recent situation is a definite limit for me. I expect my home to be MY home. I should not have to hide my computer and other valuables constantly in my own home just IN CASE someone from this place decides to break and enter without my consent on a given day. They’ve been in my apartment 3 times in the past couple weeks without my consent. One time they left all of the tenants a note saying that they would be randomly entering all the apartments for the next 5 DAYS—maybe once, maybe multiple times. They leave no information that says whether or not they’ve been there, WHO was there, nor do they indicate the time they entered/left. If someone steals your stuff or breaks something, good luck trying to figure out who it was. If you are deciding between a property managed by Marquette, and some other company, DO NOT RENT FROM MARQUETTE. Anyone you choose will be better than these idiots. (Location: Woodfield Crossing)

Experiencia fantástica: I have lived at Park Place of Northville for six years under Marquette Management. I came from owning a home from the age of 24 until I was 59. The care and concern of the kind and professional leasing staff and professional and courteous maintenance staff was more than I expected. We felt like family immediately, and that has never changed a day in the entire six years. The grounds and buildings were beautifully kept and our neighbors were professionals, quiet yet fun. Marquette DOES care about all aspects of the quality of your living experience at there properties. I highly recommend choosing living at one of their properties.

Experiencia negativa: They found mold in my apartment, their answer for it was to send me and my two infant children to a hotel for two weeks and also made me pay out of pocket for the hotel, food, and clothes. I asked to recieve everything they said they were going to do in writing and she has been giving me the run around. The managers are Never in the building and seems like they only work three day out of the week. Bad management company they could have done more I'm still currently living out of a hotel.

Experiencia negativa: Since taking over I cannot say that I have had nothing but good experiences; one can only wish that I can say they the GOOD outweighs the BAD. I guess that will be dependent on what area that you stay in will determine if all of the core values of this management company is carried out to the T. Any who problem number 1; since taking over these apartment have double in the price of rent, a 800 square foot two bed room 1 bath has the starting price point of $1200.00 tenant pay for electricity, water, and garbage. the amount that we have to pay for Garbage we should have the trash picked up more than once every two week when Eagle Creek had the building we had trash pick up at least twice a week, they amount of trash that is piled up for the number of units on this property is NASTY. We never had a issue where trash was blowing in the wing on this property because of the trash being over flowing. Water; every time you turn around the water is being turned off for something; once again with the amount that we all of a sudden have to pay for water monthly there should not be any reason why the water is being turned off. Not to mention we are not being charged for account set up of $20.00 who charges there tenant $20.00 to take there ass online and set up an account so that a water bill can be paid. If that is the case then you should have allowed me to set my own account up and have the bill mailed to us so that we can see exactly how much water we are using. In other words YES we feel that we are being cheated. Rent, You never know what your rent is not when dealing with this company since they have been charging for water and trash. and because you don't know your rent is and pay what you think you know you will come home with s 5 days notice that just says you own us money and not for what and you have 5 days to pay. I have never experience such a money hungry company and I tell you what if my children or myself get shocked because there incompetence to come and patch up the hole in the electrical panel the trust my family is prepared to sue. I have made sure the everyone has the photos and our lawyers information. they have been told on multiple occasions to come fix it and no one has at all.
