Experiencia fantástica: During my recent trip to my Florida property, I experienced an incident in which personal property that was inadvertently left at the pool was taken. Alex Oelnaga our onsite property manager for the complex provided outstanding services to ensure the missing property was returned. Alex also assisted with the installation of new technology that is use to enter secure areas of our complex to include the pool and clubhouse/office space.

Experiencia negativa: Useless company. I have multiple work orders and didn’t even work on them. I got blocked by another car on my driveway. The manager supposedly was giving me a call to help. useless company
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all work orders and resident concerns seriously. Following an investigation with the Board into the blocked driveway, it was found that the vehicle belonged to a third-party delivery service and moved shortly after. We understand how frustrating these disruptions can be, even when they involve outside parties.

Experiencia fantástica: Afroditi at Sentry Management for Southern Oaks has been very effective and professional when I have approached her with an issue regarding our neighborhood / community. I sent her an issue and withon teo days it was cleaned up and taken care of. In the past she has taken action and informed some of our neighbors of their unsightly properties immediately, it is not her fault they have not responded quickly or with any action. Taking prode in our properties and neighborhood does not start with Sentry but Afroditi is very responsive. This action really belongs to the HOA management board and holding residents seriously accountable or be penalized. Afroditi is quick to respond and very helpful. I have never been disappointed in her superior service and action to anything I have brought to her attention. She is an asset to our HOA.
Experiencia negativa: ***1 Year UPDATE **** I became the HOA Treasurer 2 months after my original review. I'll keep it brief. Worse management I have ever worked with. They cannot pay routine bills on time costing us $100s in fee. Their maintained repairs extremely inflated and very subpar. Terrible communication. There CAM refused to provide financial documents after many requests. Read your contract closely b/c they will nickel and dime you. Homeowners could not get in touch with Sentry. Sentry was so unresponsive to our vendors and homeowners. Our CAM and asst. would not answer emails from board members. In the end, this community bought out the remaining year of the 2 year contract and still saved money with our new property management company - Ameri-Tech!!!! - HOA President With serving on 2 HOA boards (FL keys and Park City, UT) and dealing with some great, responsive, professional property management companies, I can truly say this one rates as one of the worse from a homeowner resident side. Unfortunately, our HOA went to this company. After 2 weeks of "transition", they cannot email or mail anything about the 2025 payments. Not to mention you need to jump through hoops to talk to someone and when you get someone they cannot help you. First time dealing with this company, just abysmal. Oh ya, that 727 phone # you see, ya that goes to a call center in another state. -Chris

Experiencia negativa: First, they don't deserve a star. Here's the thing. I called their office on US Hwy 19 in Clearwater to see if they were in the office at 8:30AM 12/30/25; lady on the phone checked and said office is listed as being open at 8:30AM but no one answered the phone so apparently they were closed. I took the elevator up and about 8:50AM someone showed up for work; she let me in and I paid my HOA fee. But, there was someone in the office already but she didn't answer the phone from Sentry worker who called for me; the office does not have an outside bell nor does it list its office hours at the front door. I find this unprofessional though their slogan is that they are kind and professional. Second, they use the cheapest receipt slips from the Dollar Store when you hand over your HOA check; the woman who took my payment wouldn't even type up a decent receipt. What kind of company is this? Unprofessional. To top it off, I found the clerk kind of surly and lacking in customer service manners; like she didn't really want to do the job though she had to. Well, Sentry is, from my experience, not that good a management company. I think their money cushion is pretty big and when you're pulling in a lot of dough from HOA fees, then the company managers like the woman not answering the phone already in the office, thinks it is fine to do that sort of behavior; she can ignore those paying those exorbitant fees because after all Sentry is just managing lots of condos. The system in place is rotten to the core and the customer always gets stiffed by surly types and a lack of professionalism. Sentry needs a wake up call because it is coasting or is a parasitic type of firm, making money hand over fist and its staff cuts corners given it is on easy street. Again, unprofessional.
We always appreciate feedback and look for information to help us improve our service to our clients. It does appear that there is a perception challenge, which we hope to improve! We will share this review with the local office.
Experiencia negativa: When considering a new neighborhood it is important to do your research regarding management companies and HOA Boards. We recently left a Sentry managed neighborhood. During our time at the former property the cost was high and the communication suffered ( management company and board) we left a condo neighborhood that cost in excess of $ 700 a month for a community that had little to offer (only a pool). A change in the HOA leadership resulted in a nearly 40% increase in monthly dues without any new amenities. Over 50% of the monthly dues went to reserves for future expenses. HOA Boards have a lot of power. Choose wisely. Our new community’s HOA fee is 2/3’s lower at an active adult community ( indoor and outdoor pools, walking trails, gated, on site security, active adult programs, weekly food trucks, etc.). Most importantly a management company that is homeowner focused. Always look to see if there were or are current pending lawsuits. Reviews can be manipulated. Board members have been known to post great reviews. Should you currently live in an overpriced HOA neighborhood remember you can take action to combat high prices. Did you know not having a quorum for the annual meeting can often times stop increases in dues? Overpriced HOA dues can drive down property values. Glad to not have to deal with these problems any longer. My experience and opinion. My experience and opinion.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately Sentry is currently managing our community HOA. My husband and I have both been attempting to contact a representative for over a month. They email stating someone will contact you within 48 business hours to assist with your ticket which is completely false. We were told on Friday 10/10 after 6 total emails since the beginning of September that no one bothered responding to that someone would call us the same day. Of course no one bothered to do so. Apparently you are also unable to reach a manager to escalate any issues unless they answer the phone within two attempts of being connected by a representative. (We were told this today) Which to no surprise management does not answer the phone either. Sentry is extremely unprofessional and clearly an unreliable company. We have been told our community is looking to remove Sentry in the future as our management company and we will be voting to do so as well.
We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication and the frustration this has caused you. Providing timely support is a core standard we strive for, and it is clear we failed to meet that mark in your case.

Experiencia negativa: Sentry manages the community I live in and has been a real disappointment to me and my family. There are several items that need to be repaired at the exterior of our town home and I have formally requested service 4-5 times over the last YEAR!! They have never completed any of the items resulting in damage to our property. Their follow up is poor and they appear to have a complete disregard for their customers. If you are considering a management company to assist your HOA association, I would be very careful before contracting with these people. They will make you look bad.
Sentry Management serves as the managing agent to an elected Board of Directors. When a request for repair is received, we deliver the request to either the Board of Directors or an Architectural Review Committee (ARC) that they have appointed. If the ARC requires additional information from a homeowner, then we communicate that request on their behalf. Often, residents perceive that the management company is the decision maker or the source of a delay; when in most cases we are the intermediary and support staff. We realize that delays in the process may cause frustration and/or further issues. Please understand that we are following a process established for the association and the reviewers are community volunteers who may not be able to respond right away. Sentry Management takes online reviews very seriously. We discuss each one internally and try to determine what we can do differently to improve service to homeowners in communities we are privileged to manage. Your review is amanous and we want to address your specific issues but we do not know who you are or in what community you reside. Experiencia negativa: Our HOA recently hired Sentry to be our management company. So far I have been disappointed due to the lack of communication on the part of our assigned CAM. I have sent several emails and not received a single response. Due to the lack of communication I have no idea what is being done on our behave and where we stand in the transition process, payment of bills, setting up the owner portal, etc. The assistant has always been very responsive to both emails and phone calls. They are always helpfully to the best of their ability, professional and pleasant. Recently, we had to cancel our first Board meeting with Sentry because it was not posted on the property. Once again, poor communication on the part of Sentry not posting it and not requesting someone on the Board to post. Also, it is not clear what the responsibilities of our assigned maintenance person are, even though I have requested that information. Another example, the Board was not notified first of access to Sentry website. They learned about it through other owners.
We are disappointed to hear that this is your perception of Sentry Management, and hope that recent communication has helped bridge the gap. Your local Sentry Team is stellar and we look forward to building a great relationship by providing exceptional service to your association.

Experiencia fantástica: Sentry Management, Inc. has been managing Itopia Private Residences for almost a year. However, Sentry Management seems to be on its way to becoming one of the better management companies that had been dealing with some very difficult challenges and issues of the Itopia community since my wife Sandra and I have owned our unit since 2012 and have resided here in the Itopia community since 2014.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been with Sentry Management for just under a year since purchasing a condo within their umbrella in Tarpon Springs. They have been fantastic so far. The gentleman named Alex who is the office manager I believe is extremely helpful with anything I've needed, very responsive, always send pertinent updates and overall a super nice person. The grounds are spotless as well as all the amenities. Overall, a great management company.

Experiencia negativa: Frustrating week to get someone to answer the phone. I personally went to the office because the phone message said they were closed. Fortunately a lovely kind and accommodating person named Abby was extremely helpful. For some strange reason the century main office does not handle closings!?! Oh well, Abby is taking care of it for me after seller buyer sellers agent and myself tried to make contact for a week.

Experiencia negativa: Sentry Mgmt. continues to try to defraud their (mostly senior) tenants by incorrect "late fees", topped with equally-illegal "interest charges." Their latest attempt came after HOA payments were delayed in the mail by Hurricane Milton. Their practices violate Florida statues designed to protect seniors and other citizens from targeted consumer fraud, so please report any and all suspicious activity from them to the Attorney General's office in Tallahassee.
Again, we appreciate feedback but disheartened at your less than positive perception of Sentry Management.
It may help to better understand our role in your community. We are privileged to assist the Board of Directors in the day-to-day administrative functions of managing a community. We do not charge homeowners anything, All assessment fees and any late fees are paid to the association and are dictated by the governing documents. We have no authority to make any changes to the fee schedule without Board approval. We are happy that this was resolved satisfactorily and hope that some clarification of our role is helpful.

Experiencia negativa: I am extremely disappointed I called in reference to the twigs that are all over the courtyard I was told someone would call me back needless to say the twigs are still there and I didn't receive a call . I got an email telling me how to prepare for the storm. We are about to get the largest hurricane this area has ever seen and we have a large tree on the street and twigs everywhere.

After further review with your local team, we learned that an attempt to call was made on October 7th. Unfortunately, they were unable to leave a voicemail due to the voicemail inbox being full. However, they followed up with an email sharing information that per the Board of Directors FEMA would be completing clean-up, but it would be after the second storm. Experiencia fantástica: Our Association just changed over to this Management because the previous Management was horrible . We are renting out our Townhouse and it has been a small leak from the roof for over a month. The previous Management would say that they would look into it but they just kept ignoring me.Then it all got transferred to this Management and Chad was on it right away even though they just took it over a couple of days ago .He had a Roofing inspector out within days! Experiencia negativa: This is the worst management company I've ever had to deal with! They don't return phone calls or emails. The HOA here is a nightmare! Retired people who with nothing better to do than spy on other residents, complain about the smallest of things, quite petty! There hasn't been any real security, the gate has been broken for months! There isnt enough parking for full time residents. I will not be renewing my lease and I would never recommend buying property at the Club at Feather Sound!! Update- I'm speaking about my experience with Sentry. I've called and emailed your company with no reply!
