Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Hands down the WORST rental company I have ever dealt with. It’s astonishing how unprofessional and unreliable they are. After 2 years of renting with them I would tell anyone to avoid renting from this company like you would avoid the plague. I planned on making this review after we’ve moved, but today was the final straw. They are horrible and their staff is so incompetent it’s painful. We have received 4 notices in the past year from the city of Saginaw regarding defaulted property tax payments and every time we notified them we never heard back until we made multiple follow up calls with no real resolution outside of being told the landlord would make the past due payments, just to get another notice that the payments were never made. Went 2 weeks with a sewage backup because they dragged their feet on getting a plumber out and never follow up with us on that after the plumber notified us that he told them they needed to send a cleaning crew. When we first signed the lease we were charged a cleaning fee and had to call multiple times to ask they honor said fee and clean up the house and backyard, which two years later the backyard was never cleared so our landscaper could properly cut the grass. Broken doors and door knobs and faulty plumbing in the bathroom and kitchen showing they do not hire real contractors and just bring in some idiot who can only tell you what he can’t fix instead of finding a working solution.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible, rotten, disrespectful, to say the least. Watch Madison she will try to pull your section 8 out from under you. I have been with Elite for over 4 years, four long years living with bullshit!!!! Living with broken ovens and I haven't had for a whole year I have not had a working stove for a year, I have a 220 outlet that's just open they won't do anything about it. Last July 2025 Becka came to do a inspection 3 times. Elite refused to do any repairs so section 8 quit paying so did I. They gave me an abatement because they wouldn't even put handles on my faucets. They wouldn't do anything that was their sneaky way of getting me out. I go to court in February and I have a lot of documentation and proof they may get me evicted I'd rather deal with that then what I'm going to hand them in court. Please do not rent from Elite. When I lived on Western the neighbors behind me had bed bugs so bad they came thru the walls into my apartment. I had to get rid of 3 couches and the other building had an infestation so bad cockroaches climbing up the walls on the ceiling. It was totally disgusting they did nothing about it. Madison's the type that will he he ha ha in your face and talk about you like a dog behind your back to other tenants. THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR ⭐. MANAGEMENT IS PATHETIC!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Let me preface by saying that me and my significant other are great tenants who always pay our rent on time and are responsible. Living in the bervean apartment was a good price, but the living conditions were horrendous. During my over 1 year in the apartment, I had been exposed to mold the whole time in the ceiling, causing me to have many medical issues due to the mold exposure. Not to mention we went without heat all winter, and our apartment flooded after over a week of reporting a leak via phone, email, and tenant portal, which turned from a small leak in the ceiling to sewage water draining onto us from above. When calling the emergency line they yelled at us to “be patient, because it is early” and no one came out for close to 4 hours. Our neighbors also had water flood their bathroom from the ceiling and electrical sockets. The same person handles all the plumbing, electrical, etc, so I have to assume they are not properly licensed and definitely sloppy work. Very professional when you move in, but after that they don’t care about the experience. They own many properties and are only concerned with collecting their rent and do not care if the properties are livable. I always am respectful and understanding but this was a traumatizing living experience. They even tried to make us pay rent for the month we wouldn’t be there after the apartment flooded, but eventually after battling them, we got that knocked off because I had everything documented through email. This is only the tip of the iceberg, this company preys on the vulnerable and I would not move in.

The property is a reasonable price but If your home have any problems your home will become stressful instead of peaceful. They are kind people but they super suck at communication. No call backs, when say they will call you back "nothing" I been a tenet since feb 2025 I was dealing with a problem for 6 months "weak floor boards and back door wouldn't close" never got anything done so I paid there maintenance man to do the work and he just took my money and did a sloppy job. So it still need to be done and now I'm having problems with my electrical and I called them and it's going on Two weeks now and they still haven't fixed the problem.

Experiencia positiva: Staff is very friendly and they are quick to respond!!! I only gave three stars because the application process is very strange and something to consider. They let all approved tenants view the home and then let the landlord decide who will get the property so the process is longer than most and can also leave you without a property based on factors out of your control and also theirs. I did not rent from them personally so I can’t speak on that but the application and touring process did leave me disappointed because i fell in love with a property I wasn’t chosen for. Many of their houses and units are gorgeous though!!!

Experiencia negativa: I was a previous tenant of the Bervean apartments, 102. My Experience with elite only went downhill from the start. They started off communicative and the second I moved in it felt as if they didn’t care about me. We had the only in unit washer and dryer in the building in which they charged us extra for, which I wouldn’t have minded if it worked. It took them months to fix, and the whole time we were charged extra for something we didn’t have. The first alarming thing I noticed was holes in our trash bags, and in our stored food. I then saw mice had inhabited the kitchen area. Secondly, our radiators had stopped working in the middle of the Michigan winter. To which they gave us 1 space heater. This space heater a few days later then blew out all the power to our unit, and when the maintenance person came to fix it they said “yeah this has been happening a lot, don’t plug the space heater back on and just light the pilots on the stove to heat the house” we have a gas stove. And even if we did that the bedroom was completely opposite of the kitchen. They never ended up fixing our heat. With how cold it was my hamster ended up passing away because I couldn’t keep her warm enough when all the power went out. Lastly, the day we were forced to evacuate. I woke up to the sound of running water only to discover my bedroom was flooding. I called emergency maintenance and they told me “be patient no one is awake at 6am” and as I continued to beg for just someone to come and shut off the water they stopped responding to me. They didn’t answer my calls, emails, anything, until 3hours later, 3 hours of my personal belongings getting destroyed and soaked with moldly water did someone show up to fix it. And the kicker, we had been complaining about this small leak for 2 WEEKS and this is what it turned into, an emergency evacuation of my home. Which they still demanded that I pay rent for next month even though the apartment was completely inhabitable after the flood. Do not be fooled by their kindness, the second you sign that lease they don’t care about anything except your wallet. You could be dying of mold exposure (which my partner was) and not even get a call back, or someone to check it out.

An leaked from ceiling an destroyed allot of my stuff... Then mold you could smell in the apartment was horrible ! Paid extra for washer an dryer in our apartment that didn't work for months but still had to pay ... I could go on but it would be a novel ... Save your time an money they don't care about you ! Bervean Apartments 318 w 2nd st Flint Walk in front door.. First floor first apartment to the left ... An washer an dryer is in there ... Again it goes to show how much you don't even know or care about your apartments ... It actually helps to visit these places you own... Then you'll see it needs to be condemned ! But that won't happen because your slum lords !

I feel like they should refund my $140 i had to pay for 3 adults , you should not take other applications while one is pending the BBB needs to be notified way this company runs

Experiencia negativa: Update on this review on Camden Ave. again. If we had to do it over again, we would NOT. This realtor and his seller knew from the beginning this house was in bad shape. When they said new plumbing they forgot to mention the rotted main pipes under the house to the street. We could not see them since nothing was hooked up before my brother bought the house. Also, the furnace doesn't work. It has been one rotten egg after another. Do yourself a favor and RUN if you see a house from this realtor. Don't buy. It's probably a trap.

Whoever I spoke with on the phone told me it was already rented, apologized and offered me two other properties. I applied April 16th and the listing was taken down on April 17th. 1533 Illinois ave . I also received a call Friday April 18th but was at work couldn’t answer. I asked for a refund since I applied it was already taken and whoever I spoke to apologized and they said “oh we don’t see that money that’s what the company charges for the application.” So which one is it ? It’s not a oh I didn’t get the property I want a refund. That’s not what’s happening here . It was already rented . Listed as available and had been listed since November. Then I apply the next day it’s taken and rented out. Do you see where I’m coming from how that’s odd? Listed since November 2024, I apply the next day it’s taken down and is already rented, they apologize, but will offer these other two properties I just wasn’t interested in.

I moved in to a broken oven, and it took over 3 months to get it fixed. They have tried to rent out the red tagged unit next door. The shared basement has had human feces in it for over 10 months from their tenant. The tenant has been red tagged out, and still Elite refuses to clean it. They dropped a construction dumpster in my driveway, then when I parked in the driveway, they immediately called the police on me and tried to have my vehicle towed without notice. They called the police on me for asking more than once for maintenance. They filled the dumpster with bed bug infested mattresses from their other red tagged units. But they refuse to do any work here. Their craigslist maintenance guy has been disrespectful and threatening when he is out here dumping more trash every day. The city comes out and tickets them, and they just ignore the tickets. They will only work on unoccupied units, so they can rent them again. Once you are paying them money, they will not perform any maintenance. It took over 10 months to get a working light fixture in my bedroom. There was a hole in my roof for over 9 months, and it cost a fortune to heat and cool. City had to ticket them twice before they came and fixed it. Then they left behind all the trash and old siding and shingles. Then even with the big construction dumpster here, they still refuse to pick up their trash and expect me to do it for them. All these units are red tagged because the type of people they rent to. Police are familiar with all their properties. You'll have real swell neighbors. There have been many times since I have lived here that I have wondered if I would be better off at a homeless shelter. Do not rent from Elite. You WILL regret it. They will cause you all kinds of stress, and they are drama queens who will try to tow your vehicle without warning, in your own private driveway, parked appropriately. And put recording equipment in the empty unit next to you to spy on you. And call the police on you for nothing over and over again. I can't wait for my lease to be up next month. Don't make the same mistake I did. Stay away.

We’ve had the exterminator out for roaches, bed bugs, and 30 days later ROACHES AGAIN they refuse to inspect the entire building and just keep throwing bandaids on my unit even though the critters not coming from ME! It’s also 44 degrees outside with NO HEAT in the building, which is extra strange because YOU PAY YOUR OWN GAS so how does the building control the heat? And NOW they’re trying to drown out bad reviews by offering a chance to win a free month of rent for positive google reviews. Meanwhile we can’t do laundry on site because the laundry room is LOCKED

Experiencia negativa: These people are not flexible and will not work with your work schedule. I scheduled a tour last Thursday for this Monday at 2:30 after I conveyed to them that I work 45 minutes away. They reached out by phone while I was at work to let me know that they moved the tour up at 9:15 this morning while I was already at work and could not access my phone to let me know that they arbitrarily moved my tour to 1pm. What is the use in scheduling if you can’t keep your scheduled time. Might as well just fly by the seat of our pants all the time. If you can’t organize well enough to schedule a tour and keep that time, it forces me to lose faith in their ability to manage the house we’re looking to move into.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! A day before my move in these people decided to give me my deposit back and tell me. They won’t allow me to move in. The maintenance man told me that these people do not care about Black people so they paint over mold instead of fixing it so that Black people can get sick. When I brought this to their attention, they told me that was a lie and that they will address it, the next day before my move-in the management told me that they would not want to move forward with my And in my defense, I feel as though it’s because I knew things that others didn’t. Their apartments are disgusting roach, infested, mold under every wall everywhere poison they don’t clean. I was told you get what you pay for.

Experiencia fantástica: I understand everyone isn't perfect but Elite is very understanding and will try to work with you as much as they can. For example, I hit a rough patch and became behind on my rent instead of evicting me Tanya allowed me to make payments until my back balance was paid off. Maddie was super helpful and quick on showing us houses that were available when first looking, and the house we picked wasn't ready. Experiencia negativa: Elite real estate professional are horrible people and they don't care about anything you say I told them I was 30 weeks and was ready to move into a two bedroom I gave them a deposit for a 2 bedrooms instead got a 1 bedroom so they just took my money and told me we can do a 50 dollar credit finally went to the apartment to pick uo my keys the apartment was not even livable water pressure didn't work in the kitchen they had an old refrigerator with rotten meat in it and they told me the 1 bedroom was ready to move in I just cried when I saw the place because I'm pregnant and I couldn't understand why would a person or business do this to a pregnant women and they knew they was wrong because they gave me back my money asap I had to drive 50 miles for my money but I'm a child of God and i find me a better safer place for me and my unborn child and I just thank the lord from leading me away from people like that

Experiencia negativa: In selling one of my units this HOA submitted the forms incorrectly 3 times in a row. The title company tried reaching out for weeks by call and email with no response. Very poor customer service for owners. Do not hire them.

Experiencia positiva: Elite helped me and my kids get into a home when it seemed like everyone else was turning us down and we have been there for over a year now because they not only helped us get in our home but continues to work with me on my rent moving forward. They have helpful staff that are willing to communicate and work together for you. Thank Elite!
