Experiencia negativa: I am a homeless veteran who was working with Community Hope Homeless Veteran Program to secure housing. They were assisting me with the rent and deposit for what I hoped would be my new home. After reviewing the lease documents, their legal team found multiple inconsistencies and told me they could not work with Goyburu Realty LLC or proceed with the lease. This left me with no choice but to back out of the agreement. Because of this, Jose the realtor is keeping my $1,000 hold fee. Technically it's my "fault" for breaking the lease, but when you're homeless, losing $1,000 isn't just an inconvenience—it's devastating. That money represented my entire safety net. I understand policies exist for a reason, but I wish they had shown even an ounce of compassion for my situation as a veteran trying to get back on my feet. The fact that a veteran assistance program found enough issues in the paperwork that they walked away should tell you something. This experience has left me in an even worse financial position and extended my homelessness. I wouldn't wish this on any other veteran.

Experiencia negativa: They said a building was available for Dec 1st, I then drive , pay tolls, and deal with traffic the day before a holiday for them to tell me it’s not available. I believe they knew that but just wanted to get me out there, like others have said. Mind you this apartment was a birthday gift for myself. And one of the guys came off very nasty for someone that wants 7500 up front.. especially since I just went elsewhere and they wanted significantly less upfront. Overall I would say be prepared to be lied to.

Experiencia negativa: One star because they work with Ania Management who raises rent hundreds of dollars when it’s time to renew your lease. They also will lie to you about what they can, to get you to sign the lease. There’s no elevator that was said to be installed at 112 Godwin Ave prior to lease signing. Ania has a different new negative review every day and Goyburu Realty will not share how misleading and unfair Ania Management can be. Taking advantage of people at times like this is not right but soon everyone will know the truth. High rent in cheap buildings, unsafe neighborhoods, and for your packages to get stolen by your own neighbors is disgusting.

Then when I asked to at least see other viewings I was told it would be pointless if I didn’t have cash on hand or wasn’t willing to apply immediately. Complete scam of a company. Spoke with Diego by the way who was nonchalant to the fact that he’s just wasting peoples time

Experiencia negativa: This company is a complete scam, I spoke with Jose, he told me he just sold the unit I was looking at to the guy who came in before me, then tried to get me to rent a different unit with completely random prices that were much higher than those listed on Zillow. He showed me a PowerPoint he threw together about how they need $6000 up front to cover the first 3 months (rent is listed on Zillow as ~$1500). He also said that rent was supposed to be $4000 a month but they have “discount vouchers” or something like that to make up the difference, which doesn’t even make sense. He basically tries to confuse you and provoke a sense of urgency to make you put down a deposit which is non refundable before you leave. These people are SCAMMERS. Don’t trust them, stay far away. These positive reviews I’m 99% sure are from their friends / family / people they paid.

Experiencia negativa: They posted a studio apartment for $1300 online and when I went to the office, they said we have to do a down payment of $2000 and then it went up to $4000. That’s not even a security deposit. This is a scam company. They don’t post anything real online. Don’t deal with this company.

He really went above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect place for a price way below my budget. He made sure all my needs were met before my move in date (window guards for my 2 year old) and made sure to inform me of any updates throughout the process. Ready to move in but not being able to buy furniture because of the fear of just dragging along roaches to future places is the worst. looking forward to moving out in a year. absolutely insane and unacceptable. if i could give 0 stars, i would. I also passed by the management building on broadway to settle some things out and everybody that was there, were tenants with a million and one complaints. get rich quick scheme like realtor agents who say there’s not a realtors fee but really it is… literally just show you some sketchy home made under an hour powerpoint to convince you otherwise. very shady people like i said. please be aware of places like this and always read reviews ! i wish i would’ve paid more attention during the walk through . 0/10.

Experiencia fantástica: Jose Y. made this process seamless and direct. I found a listing for an apartment on Zillow and reached out to Jose Y. by phone. I was able to schedule an appointment for the same day and I commuted from NYC to Jersey. The apartments go fast but Jose Y. was able to show me other apartment listings within my price range. After we went to view the apartment he explained the process throughly, answered all questions I had and gave me advice. Jose Y. is very professional, detailed oriented and kind. I was apartment hunting for months so I am very thankful that Jose Y. made this process painless. I highly recommend Jose Y of Goyburu Realty, you won’t be disappointed in his hospitality and service.

Experiencia negativa: They made me travel way out of my way for nothing. I left work early and came from Midtown to their office to view an apt because the man said I had to go to the office. An hour and a half bus ride and an 18 min walk just for them to tell me they had someone put in an application 5 mins ago for the apt and I should've asked to do a virtual (which was an option never given to me, the first person I spoke with knew I was traveling far). When I told them I wanted to view the apt anyway because they said I could even though the other people would get approved, it never happened. They're liars that tried to upsell me an apt way out of my price range. Seeing someone else say the same thing validated this. Horrible day, luckily my friend came and picked me up to take me home. I wouldn't trust their integrity.

They will list an apartment, you reach out to view, go into the office and specify your income and price range (they know which unit you’re interested in) just for them to tell you the unit is already rented and try to convince you to move into something outside of the price range you just told them. These people can be a waste of time, specifically Josè. You should know what apartments your company has available or rented. They lure you in with the whole “bad/ no credit, we’ll work with your income” nonsense even when your credit is good and you make more than what they ask they still waste your time. Would never recommend. Learn to take down listings that are rented out to save people the headache.

Experiencia negativa: This place is the worst o showed them my pay stubs and the had the nerve to tell me I don’t make enough but the crazy part is I make 5200 a month and for some reason they kept trying to say I only make 4000 when I know for a fact it’s 5200 and then they hit me with rentals insurance that ended up being a total of 7000 for an apartment that cost 1500 in the hood like I’m not sure if they are faking their reviews but this place is trash and very unprofessional

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly worth it!! Other apartments will charge you the same, if not more! These apartments work with you and give options for those with less income/lower credit!! They allow you to use your deposit as credit towards your rent! Everything is nice and up to date!! Also Jefferson was a HUGE help!! He was straight forward and honest and made the process smooth!! Hit him up to view properties!!

You can see that the area is growing quickly, if this is an area you see yourself living, I highly recommend Goyburu and speaking with Jose Y.

Experiencia negativa: Goyburu apartments are really nice but these apartments have no insulation. I can hear my neighbors whisper’s. You are paying top dollar to live in a dangerous area. Look for something else I guarantee you won’t regret it.

Experiencia negativa: I was almost instantly denied an application before the guy even looked at my income or credit I believe he made very poor decisions about the person I am before even letting me explain, I am a mother of 5 I have never been on welfare or any government programs I make the income than he says well it’s about the credit if it’s 580 assuming that I had poor credit he than said you have to pay another month I have seen thier apartments and they are not worth the price I was just trying to get out of my current apartment he was disgustingly rude he said oh we’re not open on Sunday just for my clients I would encourage no one to use this company they judge by appearance and seem to be highly racists.. I will be putting a complaint for discrimination

Experiencia negativa: They have made this whole process extra stressful for me. I don’t know if it’s just the agent I got but I literally have to beg and send several reminders for 90% of the things I ask for, even when they claim they’re on top of it. At this rate I’m not even confident my apartment will be ready in time because I don’t get updates, they only call me with bad news, and everything I ask for I have to repeat myself and feels like I’m pulling teeth to get done. I just hope they have my keys on time on moving day because this process has been disheartening and draining from beginning to end.

Experiencia negativa: I came here to look at a couple apartments, I found one I liked. But The first problem was that they wanted me to pay more months rent in advance due to problems with credit which i understood. I said okay we proceeded. Me and enrique (the manager) worked out a lease agreement and i made him explain over and over again and also told him to show me the math. After a whole day of going over the lease with them. We both agreed i signed. Now a couple weeks later, there telling me there was an error with the lease on their part and they have to draw up a new lease for me to sign. The new lease includes me paying more. So ofcourse i refused and i told them the original lease is what i agreed upon and i wont be signing anything else. They also mentioned they made an error on atleast 10 other leases with tenants which is terrible business and not professional at all. Wish i could give zero stars.

Experiencia positiva: Decent apartments in not so decent areas, which if you from the hood doesn't really matter. The quality of the apartments don't seem the best & the ceilings are really low. If you are looking for a renovated apartment in the hood while you work on your credit I would say give them a chance. I went & viewed a couple of apartments in a couple of buildings & decided not to leave a $1000 deposit which they require to "lock in" your apartment. I decided to pass just because I was looking for something with amenities in the building. Although if I was looking for a quick move in a decent renovated apartment I probably would've took one.

He helped my husband and I make sure we were comfortable with the space we wanted and then was extremely helpful with the paperwork stuff ! You won’t be disappointed. The apartments that we were still were extremely beautiful and coming from New York this process was very comfortable and ease feeling. I have no regret dealing with Jose and this group overall I’m sure they all nice as Jose. If you don’t have the best credit he will make sure for sure to get you your wish no matter what ! Experiencia negativa: Will have you waiting for hours very unprofessional, very unorganized, all over the place will lose your papers. Set up a time for you for an appointment and will be hours late. Once they have your money , they do not care , will steal from you. No refunds. Once December come i will be moving out to a better place. 8 months pregnant I was home alone in the apartment and a man and a woman had keys to my apartment and open the door on me while I was sleeping , I asked them how did they get the keys to my apartment door and they just stood there and laugh . I do not feel safe living here. The walls are very thin. I will be moving out very soon and taking everything to court to get my money back.
