Experiencia negativa: I am a landlord in the Clark County area, so I have some knowledge about real estate, including real estate law. Unfortunately, Seiler Home Group runs a Facebook group that promotes/allows illegal rental activities, including landlords breaking RCW 59.18.255 which prohibits landlords from profiting off of rental application fees. They use their moderation power to censor even neutral, factual comments on social media. I'm sure this company does good work from time to time, but I would be wary, because what they do privately is ethically questionable and to an extremely low standard. Leaving this at 2 stars, so I can downgrade to one and crosspost in the case of any retaliation from this company. (based on their ethics so far, I wouldn't be surprised). If that happens, I will add more details about it to this review, decrease it to 1 star, and copy this review to additional websites, as I think the increased risk to those seeking a company to work with would warrant the additional effort. On the other hand, if they provide a remedy, I may increase this to a 4 or 5 star review in recognition of their receptiveness to feedback and integrity.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely awful money hungry people who have no self-awareness to the community that they are supposedly supporting. I'm so glad Melanie Walker grew up with money but she does not understand the struggles of most of the people in Pacific county. Raising my 75-year-old mother's rent by almost $500 a month means she is no longer going to be able to live in her apartment. This is absolutely insane. $500 a month increase?! Update: Seiler Homes have now blocked me on all social media platforms due me to calling out what they are doing. They has their lawyer contact offering $3,000 to vacate the unit in less than three weeks. It's a shame how they run their "business".

Experiencia fantástica: I will admit upfront, we were very challenging clients for Seiler Home Group. We had a long list of requirements, including some fairly unusual ones; we did not want to be rushed into a decision; and we were prepared to (and did) walk if our conditions for a purchase weren't met. We were willing to consider houses and vacant property that needed substantial work, too, so some of the listings we looked at were quite unusual. We came very close to closing on one property right away, only to walk away at the last minute when the owner made unreasonable demands we weren't willing to accommodate. Melanie fought our corner, but didn't try to make us stick with the deal when the terms were untenable. For the second offer we made, there ended up being something like 8 addendum in total, as we had to negotiate through challenges like getting a well and new roofs, then being unable to get the well after drilling, appliances breaking down between the offer and the walk through, and half a dozen other minor issues. At the end of the day, I think both buyer and seller were satisfied, and we got a house that ticks all the blocks of my exhaustive list, at a price we can afford and that compensates us adequately for taking on some additional work. Melanie was an excellent realtor - personable, professional, and a ruthless negotiator. I would recommend her to other buyers *or* sellers.
