Experiencia negativa: This is genuinely the most unprofessional leasing agent I have ever dealt with. I have lived in Lubbock for almost 5 years now and have never encountered a company that runs the way Coldwell Banker does. Impossible to schedule a tour, when you call no one is of any help, and they will not let you schedule a showing over the phone. When you finally do schedule a showing of weeks of trying, real estate agents are late to showings without any communication that they are going to be late. The prices of their homes are listed differently online than what they actually are. I will never rent from them.

Communication is non existent and when reaching out, they have every excuse as to why they expect tenants to follow their policies but they do not. Yes, I have reached out to them and tried to work up the chain of command but still absolutely no resolution or even an attempt at one.

Experiencia negativa: Incredibly difficult to get ahold of anyone for any reason even after leaving voicemails/text messages. After 2 walk throughs with the leasing agent present and noticing multiple things that needed to be fixed (outlets out of code, hole in garage from previous plumbing repair, exposed wires in and around the home, animal feces and feathers left in outside storage room, front and back yard in poor condition, rotted plumbing, etc.), none of the issues were communicated to maintenance to be fixed before move in after being told the home would be “move in ready”. Maintenance team is incredibly professional, respectful, and helpful.

From Bryan helping us tour the rental home to getting set up on the tenant portal and connecting with Amy and Anthony, everything has gone smoothly. The home meets our family’s needs perfectly as we prepare to welcome a little one this April. The portal was easy to set up and made paying the deposit and rent simple. The lease was straightforward and could be signed electronically, which made the process even easier. During our move-in walkthrough, I noted a few items that needed attention. Submitting maintenance requests through the Latchel app was quick and simple, and the team responded to the work orders the very next day. We did have some hiccups with one particular issue, but Anthony and his team (Chris, Gabe, and Seth) were incredibly responsive in problem-solving and finding a solution. When I voiced my frustration, they showed real integrity by coming back to make things right — that says a lot about their commitment to good service. That specific work order has since been resolved, and we’re just waiting on the final touches for the remaining orders as the team reviews them. Overall, we’re very pleased and look forward to the next 12 months (hopefully with no more work orders, ha!). It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood, and we feel very fortunate.

Experiencia negativa: I'd love to preface by stating that the home that my roommates and I rented over the past year through Coldwell's Property management team was a beautiful home with many great amenities. I'd like to start by saying that this whole agency is a joke of a realty firm. Every employee that my roommates and I had dealt with over the past year was rude, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional. The amount of hidden fees, neglect of broken appliances and the HVAC system, was extremely disrespectful. It took weeks for CB to fix a leaky dishwasher, broken freezer, and NUMEROUS plumbing issues. On another note, CB gave my roommates and I an urgent EVICTION notice! Upon receiving the "24 hours to vacate email," I had called the agency and they stated that the unpaid balance had to be paid by the 15th of January, and we received an urgent eviction notice on the 10th! Do y'all not know how that would make us feel? Saying we had to vacate the premises while everyone was on winter break and at home with our families, just to find out that they send an automated email five days before they start the legal process. That is absolutely criminal and blatant disrespect. I am here to just let everybody know that CB is a CRIMINAL realty agency and they have many schemes to funnel as much of your HARD EARNED MONEY from you! I will never rent or purchase from a CB institution again in my life nor will my roommates. You are better off renting a property in Lubbock from a reputable agency such as Tech Terrace realty. I have a corroded faucet on the master restroom tub. It needs to be replaced. Pieces are falling off of the faucet where it is corroded. Caldwell is definitely not helping now with the manage requests.

He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it in 5 minutes. Great work.

Experiencia negativa: Electrical and plumbing were not up to code. Windows were broken when we got there. We put in a work order for them that never got addressed. Fixes were done as cheaply as possible. It was pretty clear the company cared more about saving a few bucks than caring for their tenants.

Then informed us of another property for the price of the one we were interested in and told us they would one, go ahead and talk to the owner and two get back with us about the other property the following day. NEITHER happened. BUT they made sure to change the listing that day. Over priced. Charging their renters for buyers mistakes, gentrifying the city. Trash.

Experiencia negativa: I have concerns about the regulations set by the leasing company and my ability to comply with them. For instance, they require tenants to hire a licensed landscaping company to mow the lawn. Furthermore, the apartment inspections are not being properly maintained. After moving in I have discovered multiple issues in my apartment, including exposed holes, a ripped ceiling, and mold in the restroom ceiling and behind the toilet. Additionally, the threads on the shower faucet are falling off, which makes it difficult to attach a showerhead. Maintenance requests take a long time to be addressed, and there is a strong smell of cannabis in the apartment that persists after working hours, making it difficult to deal with. I believe they should consider labeling some apartments as non-smoking to help me choose one that meets my preferences. It appears that smoking under the table is tolerated since the inspectors never actually conduct their inspections as required. I had no choice but to sign the contract before inspecting it, as I was moving in from a different town and had agreed to the terms online with their promise. They are not really good managers of the property. In addition to my concerns, I want to express my love for the apartment, particularly the absence of carpeting, the presence of a carport, and the central air conditioning. I would like to express my gratitude to the clerks, who have always been incredibly kind and have kept my spirits high, despite the lack of resolution.. It is an unexpected spider web snare, and now I'm trapped for a year. Thank you!

Between an inability to communicate effectively, and shady practices, this company has been absolutely awful to my family over the last year and a half. I hope you’re okay with complete strangers taking pictures of your belongings for “inspections,” and completely and utterly invading your privacy. All in all, coldwell is literally the worst company we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. FAIR WARNING!

Experiencia negativa: No one is good at math, it seems. They come and inspect the house every other month as if you are on section 8 or hud housing, and they're contractors never really fix anything they've been out at least 3 times and my outlets still do not work. Would not recommend renting.
