Experiencia negativa: I have had unfortunate experiences with Ness Bros Realtors & Auctioneers. In particular Mr. Wayne. I had a problem picking up items within the day/time I was supposed to. I paid Mr. Wayne an extra $45 for picking up a different day or time. He told me he hates clients who do not show up on time. I have only bid on three of Ness Auctions. The first auction I had won a Dining room table and chairs and I called him because I had won another dining room table and chairs at another auction. We were running late because I picked up the other table and chairs first. I called him and told him we were coming from Fort Wayne to Huntington. The next auction I was 35 minutes late. He told me he was not paid to wait for clients and I'd have to pay him for his time. No problem. When I arrived, there were people there picking up items. I said there are people here, you had to stay anyway. He was nasty to me so I gave him $$. The last auction I could not pick up because of family issues. I paid him an extra $45 to pick up another day. When I drove to Huntington on time to pick up my items, they were not all there. Mr Wayne did find almost all the items but two items were not found. I asked him to see about a refund for those lost items. He said he would call me. He never called me and when I called him he said no refund. I didn't know this regarding HiBid Auctions but you have to use the card you use to register for the auctions. I like paying cash so Mr Wayne had a problem with this issue too. He is very vindictive because I found out he wrote a bad review on HiBid about me. Buyer beware of dealing with Mr. Wayne of Ness Bros. Update: I am on probation with Mr. Wayne

Experiencia fantástica: To Ness Brothers Employees: What do you want and need when you're leaving something behind that is physical, has past memories and you are starting over? -- and you're scared. You need someone to hold your hand because you don't have all the answers. So you choose someone with expertise and knowledge to provide assistance through the process -- even Sir Edmund Hillary didn't climb the Himalayas alone -- he had a guide. Ness Brothers is awesome and has the answers. We had never dealt with an auction company before so this was a new experience. Tim and I found this company open to suggestions and particularly helpful in explaining "why" their organization operated in the manner they chose. They always guided us and offered assistance. They were available when we asked questions, had the answers or offered suggestions in a respectful manner. Tim and I cannot give enough positive comments about this company. BOTTOM LINE: you won't regret choosing Ness Brothers. Tim Miller and Martha Coussement

Their terms were awful and they sent employees that we felt like were very inexperienced and completely uninterested in an actual auction ( just wanted the real estate) and even bragged that they had a rental property down the street. We decided to go a different direction. No harm no foul. What is more aggravating is that we keep getting newsletters from them. I actually called and asked to be removed from this mailing list (9-23-24). Well today I received another newsletter. This thing is a useless waste of paper. The only useful information is copied and pasted from nerd wallet. It’s riddled with spelling and grammatical errors and frankly I don’t care about what her Halloween plans are? Katelyn if you read this please remove us from your horrible newsletter mailing list. You should probably not add people to this unless they are actual customers or agree to be harassed by your ineptitude. Edited to add after response: I believe our consult was in January. We fortunately did find another company and all went smoothly. (Again in January) I didn’t write a review because I was upset with your terms or because nearly a year later I wanted to complain. I wrote the review because for the better part of a year you’ve been sending me unwanted and unsolicited mailers. I called in September and politely asked to be removed from this list. You lied when you said I was because a month later I received another one. So it’s not “one piece of paper” it’s several months worth. Please remove us from your list and have the day you deserve.

He explained everything well and helped me make the best decisions for mom’s situation. Kyle even helped make arrangements to move her personal belongings. Experiencia negativa: A real estate auction was held by Ness Bros with a minimum bid of $115,000. We won the auction after 25 total bids with activity from 3 other bidders. The winning bid was $205,000. A purchase agreement was signed and sent to the seller within approximately 1.5 hours. After over 5 days of waiting and wondering why our agreement had not been signed, we received a "counter offer" for $230,000. While I knew this was within the fine print of the [extremely seller-sided] terms set forth by Ness Bros, I was shocked to actually see it exercised. It was worse still to find out that Ness knew from the beginning that the seller needed to get at least $230,000 out of the house to avoid being upside-down, so no auction result below that level would have ever been accepted. The auction itself was held simply to see if they could get even more money, and the "minimum bid" of $115,000 was only chosen to drive interest in the auction, not as a true minimum acceptable offer. While completely legal and within the terms they have set forth, I find this to be an objectionable business practice that wastes the time of anyone participating in the auction. If this home had simply been listed for the desired price of $230,000, or if the minimum bid had been set appropriately, I would have happily paid the money. As it happened, I rejected their counter offer on principle, and they have chosen not to accept the result of the auction that was fairly won. This has been a wholly disheartening experience, and was a terrible way to end over a month of anticipation and excitement for a future home. Buyers, beware. They can and they will use all of the available fine print to their advantage with absolute disregard to the human beings they are manipulating. The auction means nothing unless the property goes for more than it is worth. I personally addressed this with the agent on the listing, hoping to resolve the issue more privately, and received little more than a couple of highlighted lines from the terms to justify their actions. So, unfortunately, here I am leaving a Karen rant on Google Reviews. Best wishes and happy house hunting. Edited due to reply: so much of the reply is nowhere close to reality that I genuinely do not have time to attempt to clear it all up. What's hilarious though, is that they are seemingly mistaking me for another person that they have recently screwed over. Must be hard to keep them all straight! The level of condescension is also incredible given my review clearly states that I am and was fully aware of the terms of the agreement, I simply disagree with their practices from an ethical standpoint. The review stands, thanks for the laugh. Edit again: attaching their original reply since they either deleted it or it auto deleted when I edited originally. 2nd reply edit: You're right, I am not the agent, but most of the other stuff that was said *still* does not apply in the least to my situation - you had me mixed up with another buyer entirely. I have also made it abundantly clear that I understand the terms, I simply object to the ethics of applying them in the way that Ness has. I will quote from my original review, because you have clearly put as much effort into reading my review as you have in proofreading your posts. "While completely legal and within the terms they have set forth, I find this to be an objectionable business practice that wastes the time of anyone participating in the auction." <- That is my only point. If you want to explain and hide behind the terms again, you may feel free, but the terms are not the issue.

Experiencia negativa: Called these folks because of the great reviews. This is not my experience. Needed an appraisal of my home. An appointment was made to do a quick walk through and Mr. Ness never showed or called. When I called him, he apologized and made an appointment to call me when he returned from vacation. Since I was in no rush, I agreed. Again, he blew me off and never called! The next day I called someone else, they made an appointment and did the job! And, to my surprise, they were much less expensive than the price Ness quoted. Sorry, but this is not good business!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chauntell for nearly 2 years on/off navigating through this crazy market we’ve experienced and she has been nothing short of amazing. She’s been a great communicator, has answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly, has given great advice that was within her power to give as a realtor, and has made herself always available to show houses I'm interested in. She has been extremely professional as well as very easy to get along with. I highly recommend the company and Chauntell.

Experiencia fantástica: Think all real estate agents are the same, think again. I attempted to sell my house on two different occasions with another real estate agent. To say the least, it was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I had over 50 showings on my house, an accepted offer and the house was on the market for over 4 months, yet, for numerous reasons, the house never sold. I even had other real estate agents that represented potential buyers of my house tell me things that my agent was doing wrong that were hindering my house from being sold. After moving on from my original real estate agent and taking my house off of the market for a few months. I called Kyle with hopes of a better experience of selling my house. Kyle surpassed all my expectations and delivered. After Kyle put the house back on the market, it was under contract within two days and the offer on the house was exceptional! Not only that, we were able to close on the house in 20 days after the house was under contract!!! Don’t drink the Kool-Aid and think all real estate agents are the same. My original agent cost me thousands of dollars and I lost months of my time and I even almost lost my sanity. Kyle was a breath of fresh air and built my faith and trust that there are real estate agents that are worth their value. Kyle, I deeply apologize and regret for not using you from the start. I definitely am eating crow for that decision. However, rest assured, I will not be making that mistake again! Thank you for selling my home. You were worth every penny! Thank you for your hard work, diligence, and all your help. It is greatly valued and appreciated. Respectfully, Alex Bishop

I had an agent and her name was Chantell, I've never experienced such a professional and down to earth kind of person, any and all questions I had were answered, I was never left hanging out without knowing the answer, she was very persistent with any problems that had came up and found the very best solution that was best for you. My wife and I were extremely happy with her, Chantell always went out of her way to make sure that you were happy with whatever situation you were in, always making sure with you that you were comfortable with whatever came your way, the miles and hours she put in just for us was absolutely outstanding, not every house we looked at was what it was that we were looking to purchase, not only wasting our time but it was wasting hers as well. Not once did she ever complain or say no to any home we wanted to look at. I feel sorry for those agents who go through that, it's ashame that so many people are desperate to sell their home knowing that they are not telling the truth about certain things, Chantell was very honest and up front with everything, it made our experience very pleasant and none stressful. My wife and I can't say enough of good things about Chantell, what a wonderful person, what a wonderful company to deal with. Chantell made our home selling and our new home purchase such a wonderful experience. Experiencia negativa: No transparency…..Andy Eckert Overzealous realtor sold my house without discussion or setting of a reserve bid price before auction began ,he never mention that I would end up paying more than the typical 6% in commission fees that I specifically informed him I was trying to avoid by going fsbo initially, whole ordeal seemed pressed for sale….during closing I was offered $3000 off in commission fees ? I didn’t know rather to be happy about that or to wonder why they were there in the first place…. Didn’t want to write this review but My experience is My experience

She came to us and presented us with lots of information and took the time to explain everything. She was always in contact and always had the answer.
