Experiencia positiva: I work with Muhammed Yildiz who has been very friendly and helpful throughout the process. I appreciated that the beginning of the process moved quickly and was straightforward. However, after the initial apartment approval took place, we were given an unclear timeline and misinformed about getting a payment plan. I think that if the entire process had included clearer communication and expectations I would be more inclined to work with them again.

Experiencia positiva: Everyone we have dealt with has been very friendly but there have been a couple things that have been concerning. We were given an unclear timeline of when our initial payment of first, last, security deposit, and broker fee would be due. We were given the impression that we would have a payment plan, but were then blindsided by being told we would owe thousands of dollars the next day. Additionally, we submitted all of our payments, but were told we still owed $1500, after we had sent proof of all payments. This error was corrected only after we asked them to double check their accounting.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a landlord in Cambridge, and I have worked with Kristian Kotov for several years. I can say with confidence that Christian is one of the most effective real estate agents working in the rental field that I have worked with. He is prompt, responsible, and most importantly, gets things done! Though he has assisted us in all types of rentals, this year in particular we called on his skills in working to identify housemates for partially complete apartments, given the more difficult rental season that came upon us after the middle of this past summer. Kristian has contacts or ways of identifying very high quality candidates that have consistently produced people at the right time when our larger (five-bedroom) apartments required it. Very professional, knowledgeable, quality service and handled the process quickly. June 2024: I had to find a new apartment. While browsing apartments online I found a listing by Kristian one weekday morning and called him to let him know what apartment I was interested in viewing. We discussed things I was looking for in an apt, what my income was, apt style/amenities I was looking for and my budget range. Kristian was able to do a late evening showing the same day, and also provide info on other viewings in the area I might be interested in. Kristian answered all my questions, was knowledgeable about the premises, landlord, lease, and next steps to apply. He also let me know he was available by text or phone if I had any other questions about the apartment. Within 48 hours, I signed the lease, provided the deposit and received the keys. Experiencia fantástica: My existing Landlord, at the last minute did not renew my lease, so she could convert the apartment to condos. It's mid August and now I am nervous! I happened to find Amanda Latasz, a broker at Jacobs and I genuinely felt a sense of relief. Her professional nature, but calm low pressure approach really made the difference. I've been in Boston for 30 years and rented at Burroughs Wharf, Harbor Towers and Commercial Wharf, but this time I just needed a nice clean studio near a T. I can't say enough about Amanda, she was like a cross between a broker and a therapist, making the process stress free. Amanda is not your typical broker. I needed a cheap studio, not the biggest money maker for any broker, but she treated me like I was her only client. Answered every call, gave me news an updates (from her office) at 9 PM. I had never used Jacobs Realty before, but as long as Amanda is my broker, I won't use any other Boston firm in the future. As a serial renter who likes to move around, I am a good client to have, but I am also type "A" pain in the you know what. Amanda managed the process and me better than brokers twice her age, I highly recommend Amanda, and Jacobs. Experiencia fantástica: Fabrice Bastien of Jacob Realty showed us an apartment in South Boston that seemed too good to be true, so we were hesitant to commit without seeing other options to compare. Despite our indecisiveness, Fabrice kept in close contact and continued to reach out to us with other options within our credentials and, as well, made himself available for in-person tours. Also, he was able to get the landlord to waive last month payment up front, which definitely helped our decision. In the end, we went with the original apartment, and the process was pretty seamless. My husband and I reached out to Jason Nicol at Jacob Realty a little over a week ago because we were interested in renting an apartment in Beacon Hill. As with every company I’ve reached out to, I provided a little blurb about us/ our situation—most importantly explaining that my husband is active duty military and we are currently stationed overseas but will be arriving in Boston in a few months. Jason was the ONLY person that actually read my message before promptly responding to me. Experiencia fantástica: I just signed a new lease after using Charlie Denhart's services at Jacob Realty. It was definitely a 5-star experience! Since the September 1 rush for housing is so insane in Boston, I had been looking for places for about two months before I saw one of Charlie's listings and contacted him. We had seen almost a dozen other apartments, all through separate realtors, and I had contacted more than I could count. Many of these other realtors were quite rude, flaky, and at times even tried to scam/squeeze more money out of us. Charlie and Jacob Realty did just the opposite--Charlie treated me with respect and a very positive attitude right off the bat! He was prompt in responding to every question and concern I had, and I was extremely impressed with his transparency and what really seemed like a sincere desire to help us get a listing we were very interested in. When we went to actually see the listing, it was exactly as described (if not better!) and it couldn't have been a better fit for us. Charlie helped us expedite the application/signing process so that we could put a deposit down right there at the showing and be approved/signing the lease mere days later, all electronically which was extremely convenient. Since Boston's rental market is so competitive, many realtors seem like they want to take advantage of people and are just focused on their cut of the deal. Since I'm a dog owner as well, many realtors were very rude about trying to help with pet friendly housing and those first two months of our search were incredibly stressful. As soon as I started working with Charlie, everything changed for the better. He was supportive of what we wanted/needed and we couldn't have asked for a better realtor to help us jump on a perfect place quickly and without any hassle or unneeded stress.
