Experiencia fantástica: I’ve loved living in my townhouse through this company. It’s nice, not overpriced. You get a great deal. They don’t charge big fees to pay rent. They are quick with maintenance. Always polite when I’ve had to call for anything. I highly recommend renting through this company. Especially amberjack court. You really can’t beat 1050 for 2 bed 2 bath townhouse these days. It’s quiet. I’m moving out soon out of state and I’m genuinely going to miss my little townhouse. Great experience here.

Experiencia negativa: Reservation for Rebecca's Downtown Luxury Living (527 N 1st St), Feb 12 – 19 We stayed at one of their airbnb rentals and below is our experience using Byers & Harvey The house was nice with an open layout, but there were multiple problems we ran into: The second day we were there, a maintenance man just unlocked the door and walked in the house as my wife was half clothed, sleeping with our 6 month old baby in the living room. Then, later that day, my wife stepped on a screw while walking on the carpet right next to where our baby was playing. At this time, we called the host Julian and let him know our concerns of a man entering the house and choking hazards around on the floor next to our baby. Julian seemed unbothered by the issues. My wife explained she would b vacuuming the carpet to ensure our baby did not pick up any other things. Sure enough, she vacuumed up a second screw. She called Julian and requested that a partial refund be given as she was now cleaning someone else's house during our vacation to ensure our baby was safe, someone walks in on her napping with our baby and things just didn't seem clean in general (we told him there was also dried white fluid on one of the blankets, so it couldnt have been washed). He offered us a $47 refund, which we took but were disheartened it wasnt a bit more off our $980 stay. We turned down his offer to cancel the rest of the stay since we had already cleaned and dealt with what we figured was the worst of it. After this, we then had multiple other issues..... found an empty water bottle lying around that was not from us, our fingers got pinched while scooting forward in a chair because it was broken and the bottom wasnt screwed on, found another screw under the couch, the shower faucet fell off while bathing our baby, and there was mold in the washing machine. I feel like a lot of these problems could have been prevented had there been a thorough cleaning and overall proper upkeep of the house. It did not seem like host cared about our disatisfaction. Will not be using them in the future.
Experiencia negativa: 406 Hietts lane bottom apartment for rent looked okay until the neighbor upstairs (Anthony I think?) with the outside shelter/tent in yard, made us sure where property lines were, made me and wife uncomfortable. Hard pass on the location. This was a couple weeks back. Wife was excited. Gotta factor in neighbors when moving into apartments I suppose.

Experiencia fantástica: HVAC went out just when we needed it most, maintenance dept sent the right people at the right time to solve the problem. I had questions for the vendor after the repair. The vendor was prompt to respond answered all my questions. Funny thing today I had to call in a work order for something unrelated. Service guy has already been here and fixed the problem ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ B&H have been top notch!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give Byers and Harvey a zero star rating I would. This is the worst company to rent from. If you are looking to rent an apartment or a house, DO NOT rent one that is managed by Byers and Harvey. They are leeches for money and try to charge you for things that they shouldn’t be. Not to mention, they don’t answer emails or phone calls for months, but when they want something from you they will be sure to call you at all hours of the day to harass you whether you are at work or not and then claim that you never reached out even with proof showing you did. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! Edit to add: Byers and Harvey did only manage our building a few months and a new landlord took over our building in October (the new landlord has been nothing short of amazing!). However in the few months that Byers and Harvey was managing our building is what I was talking about in my original review, I just posted my review late.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. For clarity, Byers & Harvey has not managed your building since October. It looks like you moved into the unit on October 1, and on October 10 we communicated directly to let you know that we were no longer the property manager and provided the new owner’s contact information for all future questions, concerns, and billing matters.
Any issues or communications after that date would have been handled by the current management, not our office. We always aim to be transparent during management transitions and wish you the best moving forward.

We’re sorry to hear you felt frustrated. To clarify, the water heater in this unit was recently replaced. Unfortunately, the initial installation had an issue that wasn’t immediately apparent. Once we were made aware, we sent the vendor back out and the problem was corrected.
We were not notified directly that the water heater wasn’t functioning before your call to Building & Codes, but once the issue was brought to our attention, it was resolved promptly. Maintenance requests can be reported via text, call, or app. Unless notified, we won't know there is a problem. We encourage tenants to submit maintenance concerns directly so we can address them as quickly as possible.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible company! House had used underwear and bong cleaner medication left behind. It had mold upon arrival. They show up without notice and privacy is non existent. They don’t take accountability. Check yelp. Robina is a joke. These homes aren’t inspected and she showed me a picture of a prior clients home that was dirty… UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! They won’t fix anything save yourself the nightmare
Experiencia fantástica: I love this townhome. And the Management/Hosts were so helpful, always checking in, making sure we were comfortable. I really appreciated that. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, baking dishes, utensils, spices and lots of counter space for cooking. Even the bathrooms have the little extras you might forget like toothpaste, toothbrush. The WiFi was excellent. Also, quiet and peaceful.

Experiencia fantástica: Julian is the perfect host. The place was easy to find and check in was a breeze. They checked on us to make sure everything was good and even took time to wish us a Merry Christmas. The property was so clean and comfortable. It was perfect for us. The location was quiet and safe. We had some car issues and asked for an extended stay and although the property that we were in wasn’t available, they sent us some of their other properties that were available. Amazing hosts. We will definitely stay in their property again when visiting my daughter and her family. And we were only 7 minutes from my daughter. Thank you Julian, for being the perfect host.

Experiencia negativa: I had no problems with them until it was time to end my lease. Literally the worst experience ever not only did the try to charge me extra rent without telling me they also used a high amount of electricity after I moved out and footed me with the high bill! The Agent Alicia was condensing and rude! They have no customer service skills and are very greedy they will try to charge you for every little thing that they can! I do not recommend renting from this business and if you are an owner I strongly recommend you find another realtor to do your property management!

We aim to enforce all lease terms, including 30-day notice requirements and prorated rent, consistently and fairly for all parties involved. Experiencia negativa: Unresponsive, have left several voicemails and emails trying to get in contact and never get any responses back for our past rental and even when we do get a response we sit on hold forever just to not have our questions answered. Maintenance requests take forever to get filled (had one open the entire year my wife and I were in our unit and and it never got fixed.) Overall I’m very unsatisfied with the experiences I’ve had with this company. Might as well join the ranks with Reda!

We did have successful phone conversations with you on October 7th and attempted return calls previously. That said, we recognize that delays, regardless of the cause, still impact your tenancy, and we apologize for that.

Experiencia positiva: I really liked the place and location was perfect for me. However I did run into a couple of problems. First on the second day the hot water seemed to have become quite scarce when I returned from my days activities it was barley warm but I felt it too late to inform Management and went to bed I called first thing in the morning someone came to check it out about an hour after I called. He discovered that the expansion Tank on the water heater was leaking quite Badly and had to turn off hot water completely. He informed me that he would get a plumber in as quickly as possible. I said I would go do my daily activities. When I returned that night the hot water was still off. Two days in a row I heated water on the stove to wash up and could not shower. I understand problems like this happen but was expecting some kind of discount. He just grinned and said we'll see. Checked out and plumbing was still not working. I was only able to shower one time. The second problem when I arrived the entry was totally dark it was very scary I had to go get a flashlight to put in door code. Inside my room was switch to turn on entry light light if I was coming back after dark I left it on. There either needs to be a switch in entry,or the light needs to be left on.. The place was really cute and very nice and clean. It totally meet my needs as I could walk to the university. I think I would probably take a chance on it again. This is why I can't give it a top rating at this time. Had the problem been taken care of faster or some compensation been made I'd have given it a perfect score.

Experiencia negativa: Process is really slow, working with a coordinator/agent with a rental application, she never delivered the information to the office and caused the application process delayed. My husband had to stay in the hotel after 9 months overseas deployment!! Called the number and tried to get things sorted out, the lady answered the phone was really rude and not helpful at all!! Not recommended for this business if you are looking for a reliable and professional service.

After reviewing the communication on this application, it appears there was some confusion regarding who was submitting the information and in whose name the application was completed.
Unfortunately, we did not receive the necessary application details or approval documentation in order to proceed, and without that, we were unable to move forward with scheduling showings or finalizing a rental before the holiday weekend.

Experiencia negativa: I'm currently renting thru your agency. I've been without water for 5 days now. Your maintenance department hasn't responded to my texts email and calls for the last 3 days. This is horrible service. You're only responds to me is automated instead of a phone call email or text back that's all I ask for for 3 days this is all I get in response to my issue .

I do want to clarify that our team has been in communication with you since your initial work order was submitted on Friday and we’ve been working closely with our vendors throughout the weekend and into today to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Because the request came in right before the weekend, vendor availability was limited, but we’ve stayed in contact and continued coordinating repairs.
We know being without water is extremely inconvenient and we appreciate your patience while we work to get everything restored. If you need anything in the meantime, please reach out directly and we’ll do everything we can to assist you.

Experiencia fantástica: Our stay was amazing! The houses were very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed and then some! The outdoor rooftop patio space was awesome, we enjoyed watching football games on the outdoor tv. It was perfect for our family. Loved that we were so close to everything, there was also a great park that we enjoyed that was within walking distance. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We would love to visit again soon.

Experiencia fantástica: We stayed at The Family Truckster and it was so much fun! The tiny home is themed off the Griswold family in Christmas Vacation and it was amazing. From the moment you walk in, it was instantly a cozy, warm feel tucked away near the wood line. Don’t underestimate the word “tiny” home because it was spacious and comfortable. It was clean and the host was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend whether it’s just a night stay or a little weekend getaway.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Document every single defect, I am being blamed for a gap in blinds that were poorly installed and/or defective out of box. Said “broken blind” is pictured in kitchen photo. Edit: “said broken blind is pictured, and what a surprise! ITS NOT BROKEN “. Its a shame to see such a company try and act like a victim when clearly taking advantage of their customers. Video camera their employee handing you apartment keys if you use their service. Threatened to be charged $75 re key for mailbox if 3rd key isn't returned when I was only given 2 apartment keys and 2 mail keys (apartment was 2br/2ba). A wire rack that was in the apartment oven when I moved in (brand new unit) was never used and not mine so I left it behind, and they called it “trash” left in oven. There is a “50-100$” fee if any “trash” is left behind in apartment to have their contractor walk 25 yards to the dumpster. Also company forces tenant to keep utilities on 2 weeks past day of move out even if not on a lease agreement. If you are on lease agreement and you move out early, you are either required to pay utilities for the remainder of your lease agreement. Or until the next tenant moves in. Greasy move out inspectors will find anything they can to charge against your deposit. Find another company to rent from in Clarksville.

The lease terms outline what our move out policies and procedures are, if any of those items are left incomplete, we have to bill accordingly to get the unit ready for the next tenant. According to our records, a move-out checklist was provided to you that outlined the necessary steps for that process.
At move-out, the blinds were noted as dirty with one broken slat and it was noted that the kitchen was not cleaned. Regarding keys and utilities, your lease (sections 1.7 and 1.9, which were initialed) specifies that utilities remain on for 14 days and that you were provided three mailbox keys and two apartment keys. Any applicable fees for unreturned keys or leftover items are outlined in the lease.
Our inspections are conducted to ensure units are returned in proper condition for the next tenant and we strive to maintain fair and transparent procedures for all tenants. Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Scam scam scam, they will act friendly and helpful initially but once moveout rolls around they nickel and dime everything and pull charges out of thin air. Poor excuse for a company and they know it, once you call them out on it they become hostile and route your call to higher authority and it always goes to voicemail.

I walked into their establishment and was greeted — no, ambushed — by the front desk lady who must’ve graduated top of her class at the School of Rudeness. If eye-rolls were Olympic events, she’d bring home the gold for Team Disrespect. One question out of my mouth and she looked at me like I’d asked for her social security number. Then came the cherry on top: they tried to butter me up just long enough to dangle a $1,500 ‘security deposit’ like I was born yesterday (WITHOUT ME EVEN VIEWING THE LEASE). Crazy right? Not to mention, I moved around my whole day, ironed a shirt, and drove through traffic to see this apartment — only to get a call an hour before saying the tour was canceled. One hour! I’ve had Amazon packages show up more reliably. Then the nice agent that I had the pleasure of talking with (totally not her fault by the way) parades me through some downgrade of a unit that looked like it hadn’t seen a mop since the Reagan years. If that’s their idea of an ‘upgrade,’ then I’m the Queen of England. Also 200 DOLLARS MORE!!!! And to all you young soldiers and service members out there — listen to Freddy. You fought for your paycheck, don’t let a cranky receptionist and a shady setup snatch it out of your hands. Guard that money tighter than your MRE stash, because the only ‘secure’ thing about their deposit is that they keep it.

First off, $50 for an application fee. Fifty! That’s good beer money, gone!!! For what? So some secretary can staple it to a wall and forget about it? Strike one. Then they tell me I need an approved application just to look at the place. Fine. I jump through their little hoop, only for the gal on the phone to announce, “Oh, someone already rented that house this morning.” Well isn’t that precious. Strike two. Now here’s where it gets good. I say, “Okay, let me see the lease before I give you another dime.” And they hit me with, “We need a $1,450 security deposit before you can view the lease.” Excuse me? That’s like asking me to pay for a steak dinner before I’m allowed to smell the menu. Strike three, the batter’s out, and the umpire’s gone home. And don’t get me started on the front desk troll they’ve got running the rentals department. Rude, unhelpful, and about as sharp as a bag of wet socks. When I asked why they needed money up front, she acted like I’d just spoken ancient Greek. This outfit doesn’t rent homes — it harvests paychecks from young soldiers who don’t know better. Predatory, shady, and about as trustworthy as a used car salesman with a forehead tattoo. Save yourself the headache, folks. Andrew M. Goose, signing out!!
Experiencia positiva: The Trucker tiny house was great. Beautiful inside and out. The only thing I can share is the location does not pull up. I would suggest giving an address to the one of the neighbors' homes on the main road, because unless you have been there before it is so hard to find. GPS does not help. We were visiting family so thankfully they were able to give us an idea to where we found it.

Experiencia negativa: Moved in and place was filthy (see pictures). Mold in dishwasher, pile of wet clothes on the porch, massive cob webs in the corners, etc. Turns out the management company never did a walk through before we moved in! Fast forward two years, I am a handy person and fix up the poorly maintained house best I could. We paid a cleaning company to do a full move out clean. Management company still charged us hundreds of dollars of cleaning after moving out!! Even though it was dirty when else moved in AND we paid to have it cleaned! Crazy.

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent with this company. We're leaving with a negative deposit after they absolutely nitpicked everything after move out, and added on extra charges for "cleaning", "cost of labor/repairs", and a flat $500 "move out fee" even though we didn't end our lease early. They're completely disregarding tenant/landlord deposit laws that clearly states normal wear and tear and general cleaning is at the expense of the landlord. We've moved several times and have had past landlords/apartment companies comment on how good of a job we cleaned and took care of each unit, and we did the same for this one. Barely hung any pictures and patched and painted those small and few places. Spent time cleaning carpets, painting any scuffs, cleaning floors, all things wiped down, you name it, and all for nothing. We forgot to pull out the fridge to clean behind it and wipe the blinds, and we got charged $450 for cleaning. This is just a scam honestly, so kiss that refundable deposit goodbye if you're renting with them currently. We've never NOT gotten most of a deposit back until renting with this company and we're generally clean and neat people. Will absolutely never rent with them again.

Experiencia positiva: Quiet, cute tiny house with outside seating area. Property offers toiletries and clean towels. Loved how dark and quiet it got at night. However, the property has a big spider and insect issue. When I opened the door, I had to clear spider webs and a wasp that was inside the property went in my shirt and stung me several times. The toilet and sink had dead bugs and we found 2 dead bugs on the bed. We couldn’t use the salt or pepper because it was so hard. The place is clean, just seemed to be vacant for a while and not maintained or dusted.

Experiencia negativa: My wife and I have rented from Byers and Harvey for the past 2 years. We’ve always paid our rent early. Never late. Probably the perfect tenants. When we decided to purchase our own home, we sent in our notice on the 4th of August that we would be out on the 31st. We get a notice from Byers and Harvey saying that we will be out of the property on the 1st of September. As a going away gift, they decided to “bless us” with a $400 bill for pro rated rent through the 4th of September. Trying to talk it through with the office staff was like trying to mop up a puddle during a rain storm. If at all possible, avoid doing business with Byers and Harvey. They’ll nickle and dime you to death

Per the lease agreement and the Tennessee Landlord Tenant Act, a written 30-day notice is required before vacating a property. Since your notice was provided on August 4th, the 30-day period carries over into September, which is why you were billed for the four days through September 4th. Unfortunately, we can’t shorten the notice period, as it’s set by both the lease and state law.

They were prompt to respond to my calls and text messages. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The house has a spacious layout which made it easy to settle in, and the fenced backyard was a peaceful retreat for me and my two Boston Terriers. I highly recommend the patio in the evening with a cool beverage and classical music on the patio! The home is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully equipped. The kitchen is a true gem—clearly designed for cooking with ease. Whether you are whipping up a quick breakfast or preparing a meal, it has everything you need. The Smart TVs in both the living room and primary bedroom were perfect for winding down with a favorite show. One of the highlights was how pet-friendly the space is. My Boston Terriers had room to roam and relax, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The in-unit washer and dryer were a huge convenience, especially for a longer stay. John’s Place combines comfort, functionality, and a welcoming atmosphere in a way that is hard to beat. I will be back—and I will be recommending it to friends and family looking for a relaxing, well-appointed getaway convenient to Fort Campbell, Fort Defiance, the lake, and other attractions.

Experiencia negativa: I have lived in Clarksville TN for over three years. Byers & Harvey has tried to charge me for mechanical repairs on pipes and sewage in both properties I have tried to leave. They are very known for never giving your security deposit back by over charging nonexistent repairs and charging you for them THREE MONTHS after you’ve moved out. I only lived at each property for 12 months each, and got charged for missing washer and dryer hook ups which I noted myself wasn’t there and I paid out of my pocket to get. Highly suggest trying Copper Key Realty as they have not done that to me nor have they spoken to me disrespectfully as Penny Neverdusky of Byers & Harvey did to my wife and I when we had questions about the charges. This company is wrong and shameful. Military is highly recommended to STAY AWAY.

That breakdown outlined both tenant and landlord charges, so not all listed items were your responsibility. Penny tried to call you today, but was hung up on after introducing herself.

Experiencia negativa: Rental experience with buyers and Harvey over all has been awful. I email and they don’t respond. I’ve been having issues with the people next to since the day I moved in, I contact the office and nothing is done about it. Kids constantly are screaming and hollering, and multiple messages have been sent out by the property manager but the issues still occur, and I reach back out and I never get a response or they respond taking up for the other tenant. Poor management and lack of respect. I also had issues with my hot water coming out cloudy, they told me to call the water company as if it was the water companies fault. Clarksville water department came out and flushed the lines nothing helped. I’m not gonna sit here and argue with ignorance. Flushing water lines has nothing to do with my hot water. Overall would not recommend them, horrible customer service and management!

Regarding the issue with your water, our maintenance team reviewed your concern and, based on the findings, advised you that the matter be addressed by Clarksville Gas & Water. As you mentioned, they did flush the lines. While we understand this has been frustrating, water quality and treatment is handled directly through the utility provider, not our office. Byers & Harvey does not own your property, we are the management company. Our goal is always to point you in the right direction for a resolution when something is outside of our control.

Experiencia fantástica: We traveled from middle Georgia for my daughter’s Little League Tournament of State Champions. We stayed at one of the B&H properties, in Clarksville, TN..Hilltop Acres, for 4 nights with 3 other families. The house was perfect! Having multiple living spaces & kitchens was a dream! The house was clean & well stocked!! Sarah sent us all the info to make our arrival & stay seamless! We actually arrived in Clarksville a couple hrs early & when I messaged the hosts about early check in, Julian immediately answered with an “Absolutely ”. The property is huge & beautiful, which was perfect for all of our kiddos to get outside & play! They really enjoyed the tree swing! And the string lights were beautiful at night! Great little touch. We felt safe in this neighborhood, too. We somehow tripped a breaker, so I sent a message to find out where the breaker box was & Rick answered immediately, so we had that breaker switched back on within 5 min! We enjoyed our stay thoroughly & will definitely be recommending B&H Real Estate & Properties to anyone looking for a rental! THANK YOU!!

Experiencia positiva: The accommodations I stayed in were decent enough, except the toilet was running the entire time. They knew this, because a few days into my 9 day stay, someone called me, like the 3rd name I've seen associated with this rental, and said they were aware of it from the prior rental time period and were coming to fix it that day! They never came and it remained running the rest of my time there. The apt was also quite loud with thin windows, despite being a block of the road, the noise was very loud. The AC was not very effective in the bedroom either, with a noticeable temperature difference between the living room/kitchen area and the bedroom.
We really appreciate you sharing your experience, and I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with a running toilet during your stay. Once we were notified by the previous guest that it was running, we contacted you directly and had a service tech on site within 45 mins. Thank you for letting us know that the issue is still ongoing. Now that we're aware, we have someone scheduled to replace the toilet on Monday. I will personally inspect the HVAC with a vendor at the property on Monday. Regarding the noise, these units are just blocks from downtown and APSU, placing you close to all the fun — which is why we provide earplugs, just in case they’re needed!
