Negative experience: I rented with vantage point before but when i tried to get another place with them, Barb Johnson made the process very difficult and she was very rude especially when my girlfriend and I turned down a house OLD house that we didn’t think was worth the money, she wanted us to pay almost 4,000$ just to get a 2 bed room house. After turning it down she started to ignore our calls and emails. The person that showed us the house had a very dull attitude,and seem like he was just going through it fast to get it over with no enthusiasm. Then when I did find another location and sent it to barb, she then sends me someone else lease information claiming I’m that person due to having the same Spanish name. After correcting her she proceeded to ignore me again… very childish attitude doesn’t want to help, my apologies if I messed up her commission but she didn’t have to be unprofessional for turning down a unit we weren’t comfortable with. I don’t recommend this company especially working with barb Johnson who doesn’t know how to work with people and thinks she’s better than others.

Negative experience: If you’re a renter that can afford the high deposit and rent they want you so they can steal your money out your deposit, they managed to rip off $1300 dollars out of our deposit based off crap lies, we only lived in there home for one year and returned it in a cleaner condition than they gave it to us. Literally they picked any literal thing they can find to trump up charges to get money from us we left the house so clean it was ridiculous and they still found a way to charge us for cleaning, we cleaned the carpets that was absolutely disgusting when we moved in and we had to clean it ourselves and it was in the notes when we moved in that it needed to be cleaned but they charged us anyway. This companies will lie to steal your deposit as much as they can so take lots of pictures and if u leave one spot or a crumb they charge you even if they know it’s move in ready, they don’t wanna do the work after you move out they want you to do it for them and the lady showing there property doesn’t care at all she won’t assist in the tour to make a good impression at all. As someone that can afford $1600 in rent each month I warn you all now they’re not a good company they’re thieves and that’s exactly what’s going to happen to your security deposit if you rent from this company also the material they put these homes together are cheap. Also i would like to add I’ve never ever rented from anyone and not gotten my full deposit back this is the only company in my history of renting that’s stole from my deposit the way they did please run and stay away from this company and there cheap property with small bedrooms.

Negative experience: Was pretty good until I no longer have any pets. I no longer have pets but they still charge me $100 a month for them. I asked them to remove the 100 and they said no. But they did say if I get them back to let them know. Why would I let them know they are already charging me extra for them. Just a word to the wise if you have pets and they die or move with an ex somewhere else you will still be paying for them. You say you can’t break the lease. But you can propose changes to the lease that we can mutually agree on but you obviously don’t want to do that or you would have done that when I contacted you. Legally yes you can refuse to change it but I have talked to other landlords and morally under the circumstances changes could be made. You have my number you can contact me to make changes but you probably won’t.

Negative experience: I made the mistake of trusting the reviews that painted VantagePoint as a good company. I read them, believed them, and thought I was applying with a management company that was fair and transparent. That trust cost me time and money, and my experience showed me those reviews do not reflect reality. I write this review as a warning to others thinking about applying here. VantagePoint’s website claims that applications are judged on multiple factors credit, rental history, income, and employment with the only absolute disqualifier being money owed to a previous landlord. They also advertise conditional approvals (such as higher deposits) instead of outright denials, and even publish a credit score pricing matrix showing that applicants with average credit should still qualify with only a small monthly fee. In reality, none of this is true. Applicants with clean records, excellent rental history, stable income far above requirements, and even average credit in the 600–650 range are denied outright, with “credit score” given as the only excuse. No conditional approvals are offered, and no consideration is given to anything beyond the number. That makes their policies and credit score matrix nothing more than bait. By advertising flexibility, they lure in people with lower or average credit to apply knowing full well those applications will be denied while still collecting nonrefundable fees. The more people they attract under false promises, the more they profit. Their reply to my original review only proved my point. Instead of addressing the facts, they hid behind vague excuses, claimed they “lose money” on applications (no business runs at a loss on purpose), and even tried to imply they couldn’t find my application at all. That kind of deflection and condescension says everything about their professionalism. The message is clear: do not apply here unless you have perfect credit. VantagePoint’s actions show they are not interested in regular renters at all. Their business model appears designed to filter out anyone less than “ideal,” reserve properties for investors or pristine applicants, and pad their pockets with fees from everyone else. Companies like theirs get reports at discounted rates ($5–10 each), then pocket the difference under the label of “admin fees.” This is not property management it’s predatory exploitation. Misleading renters during a housing shortage is not just unprofessional, it is shameful. In the end, I’m actually glad they denied me, because it exposed their true colors before I ever signed a lease. Better to see the dishonesty upfront than to experience it while living under their management. Fantastic experience: Professional, timely, well-managed, great staff. I relocated to Green Bay a couple months back and started the hunt for places. If you’re looking for a place to rent, go ahead and get approved with Vantage Point. They have tons of properties and still manage to give a personal feel. Barb handled the approval process and all the paperwork. I’m convinced she doesn’t sleep she’s so efficient. (Thank you Barb!) Dennille handled my move in and property inspection. She’s a kick in the pants, great person to deal with and efficient as well! These lovely people helped a totally foreign southerner get into a BEAUTIFUL Green Bay cottage home while enjoying the process. Vantage was one of two property management companies I chose to deal with. The other was a polar opposite of this experience but hey… this company sets a high bar. Tips: Get prequalified with them at the start of your search. Their rentals are nice and they’re good to work with so it’s competitive. Get your ducks in a row and the perfect place will pop up! Negative experience: Anyone who's a seasoned renter should know better, but this place has countless complaints towards them with the state and county housing authorities. Their rental agreement has multiple violations in it that they are aware of but won't change. if you are a college student or a first-time renter. heed this warning is to steer clear of this place. Tenants are not responsible for repairing a property no matter what a lease may say. (Batteries in smoke detectors included) They will nickel and dime you when you move out, so kiss your deposit goodbye because they will find any little thing to prevent giving it back. The only 5 star reviews they have are the clients who pay them to manage properties.

Negative experience: Avoid searching for an apartment with them if you're new in the country and you don't have a credit history yet. They will give you the worst options. I was able to find a much better apartment on Facebook directly from the home owner after all for $750 and $1000 as a deposit about 2 years ago. Also they refused to remove my SSN from their database.

Negative experience: I applied with my mom to rent a property in 404 Broad st Menasha, these people took 872 dollars from my deposit after I moved out, the description states that they needed to pay for pain, which is a lie I painted the whole apartment and paid for a professional painter to do the job, I took pictures on how I left the apartment, however they charged me $88 dollars for pain?... then they charged me for cleaning 225 dollars but a cleaned everything. Windows, appliances... one by one... I took pictures as well. And for the last two months of my contract no one lived in the property however there was two electricity charges for over 200 dollars and I asked an explanation of that... no, they took the money from my deposit. Please, please. Avoid renting to this people, while I was living with them they charged me many times for different fees... making my mom nervous, the harassed my mom for the time she was living in there with even eviction notices. I will find petitions with authorities as they have been doing so many things wrong I am sure all the reviews they have in this page are not real.

Negative experience: As a college student with low income as well as living alone, I felt this company has been extremely predatory. Especially for college students living alone. They bought out Titan Property Management in Oshkosh that was able to keep my rent @540 since 2021 when I moved in. Then in 2024, vantage point took over and increased my rent to $600 as soon as they took over then when the new year came around, they increased to $650. Now I am out of the state- in treatment- and they expect another payment for $650 for the month of march when someone is also moving in the same month. Very unreliable, communication to tenets has been extremely unclear and unreliable. Completely unsatisfactory.

Negative experience: If you can avoid dealing with this company, DO. Shortly after moving into one of their rentals, most batteries in the smoke detectors died. The company charged me for not replacing the batteries when I moved out. The home furnace came with filter replacement for 3 months. I had to pay my own money to replace those for the rest of the year. The doors on the closets in my bedroom were so old and beat up and damaged that I had to place a decal on at least part of it to hide the ugliness. The company repaired the door at my expense when I moved out, claiming that my decal caused the door to be that messed up. Decals do not stick firmly enough to things to cause any damage. Absolutely shameless. And don't forget the gutter clean out fee. Are there ANY honest people left in this world?

Negative experience: Doesn’t respect neighbors of properties. Took an entire month to take down motion sensor lights off of my tree and my fence facing their property. Didn’t ask. Didn’t offer to have me rent the fence out. Anything to not have to spend money. Dude said he moved them. All he did was take one off the tree and moved it right next to the other ones on my fence. You didn’t put the fence up, you don’t get to put lights up. Especially not ones that glow like the beacon of Gondor whenever people pull up at night. Light trespass is illegal by the way..

Fantastic experience: After a recent move out of a long term tenant we were concerned about the amount of time our property would be vacant, but within a week VantagePoint had the property turned over, fixed up, and a new lease signed at a substantial increase! We have hired a few property managers over the years. VantagePoint Property Management is far and above the best. Negative experience: I was extremely disappointed with the experience I had. I would never recommend Vantagepoint to anybody. I paid a ridiculous amount in the short 2 1/2 months I lived in their property. Anytime I needed maintenance assistance they would either ask me to leave my door unlocked or hide a key for them (mind you, I wasn’t in the nicest area) instead of getting a key from the landlord. Everything, and I mean everything was falling apart in that apartment. Neighbors were selling and doing drugs out of the property. In the short amount of time I lived there, they never had someone come and clean the property until I filed a complaint because someone BLED all the way down the stairs and it was never cleaned up(even though in their detailed lease it claimed they came once a week to clean the property). I never used my stove, not once, and was charged over a 300$ cleaning fee when I moved out. The air conditioning unit is garbage, my house stayed no cooler than 85 degrees and I ran it on full blast at 62 degrees constantly. With all of that being said, this wasn’t even everything. I would highly reconsider renting from these people.

Negative experience: They call it VantagePoint because they have everyone else at a DISADVANTAGE. Do not rent a property from this place. They make you maintain the property more than Tenants are legally obligated to, and if they suspect you are complacent, they will fine you a ridiculous amount of money. When moving out, you better have the place clean enough to eat off the surfaces... they will charge you for any and all cleaning that they do. Nothing is considered wear and tear to them. They give you no list of expectations for their standards of " clean and rentible condition" when you move out. We were charged 5 hours of cleaning at 50 an hour for a dirty and worn-out stove that they replaced anyway and some dust and hard water marks, and 2 dog toys that were left by the previous renters. Heed this warning, you're better off living in your thoughts than living in a pine box managed by this place.

Fantastic experience: Fran and James have been great. They are very responsive and professional with communication. They helped us with a situation with our garbage service that the previous Property Managers just would not resolve effectively. VantagePoint did and used every means to make it happen. Negative experience: Been renting from them for over a year. If you pay your rent using a money order they charge you $5.00, if you pay your rent using your debt card they chagre you $20.00, if you pay your rent using that paynearme app its a $4.00 fee, not to mention if you are looking to find a new place and put them down as your most recent place of residence they charge you $20.00, even if you you need verification for proof of residence they charge you $20.00 not to mention when applying for a place with them even IF YOU ARE A TENANT you still have to pay the application FEE!!! IT'S RIDICULOUS

Negative experience: As soon as we moved into 1521 Ridgeway drive in DePere, there was something off about this place. Let’s start with the awful smell of smoke and mold that took 200/300 dollars of air freshener, damp rid, and other products to “kind of” make a positive difference to where the smell wasn’t intoxicating. Next, we have all the mold caked onto the window seals that we cleaned, dirty cabinets and drawers, the bathroom, and kitchen where we found a used Meth pipe. The carpets were awful, you should have seen the water after we cleaned it. It resembled chocolate pudding...They claim the unit was cleaned prior to move in but that’s clearly a lie. The real kicker is the neighbor and the dog. Since day one, the dog was aggressive toward us. Barking, nipping, and lunging at us whenever we are outside, not to mention the owner has NOT ONCE picked up the dogs poop. There are at least 20 piles of poop in the backyard at all times. I’ve called Vantage Point and they have done nothing besides send an email or try to reach out to the owner by phone. They didn’t send anyone to review the property or check to see if the new protocol(shorter leashes and dog cannot be left outside unattended)was being followed. It wasn’t. I’ve filed two police reports about this animal and still nothing. Worst management company I’ve ever dealt with by far, to the point that I’m questioning if they are even a real business. I’m shocked that they have such high reviews. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Stay away from them and definitely stay clear of 1521 ridgeway drive. You will want to leave as soon as you move in. I’m currently trying to get out of our lease and of course they are going to make it difficult. The saga continues...

We are a bit confused regarding this review, as you had moved out nearly a year and a half ago, there were minimal deductions as it relates to your security deposit (you had left the unit in very good condition - thank you!) and none of the concerns you mentioned in the review were noted either during your initial walk through of the unit prior to renting it nor noted in the move in checklist that was provided to you when you began tenancy. In fact, we don't have any documentation as it relates to concerns regarding the smell nor cleanliness, the unit was professionally cleaned prior to your tenancy.

As discussed during your tenancy, we were certainly aware of the issues regarding the dog next door and did work to address them, but as you can imagine our actions are limited to what the law would allow.

Negative experience: Don't fall for the scammer trap. They will take your money for everything. touring the properties-gotta pay for it. Applications- gotta pay for each person in your home. Got pets?- each one of those cost you money too. So I went through it then that evening received a denial because they didn't get the animal paperwork fast enough. Like come on it was less then 12 hours later. This was months ago and I see the property is still not rented. They make money off the paperwork only to deny your for absolutely no reason! Glad we decided to buy a home instead for falling into this company. You should definitely be ashamed of taking advantage of hard working families.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. Was renting from owner, owner went with this property management company. Craziest lease I've ever seen, refused to sign and moved out instead. Great decision as working to get security deposit back correctly was quite the hassle. Only positive was they were prompt at sending a receipt for rent payment. Which is not always the case for other companies.

Fran is a pleasure to work with. He is extremely professional, communicates well with property owners, and takes care of everything down to the smallest detail! Negative experience: Dennille had an open house today and was not friendly or welcoming at all. She didn't show us around, she was basically lying on the kitchen counter, drinking an energy drink and acting as if we were an inconvenience to her. She poorly represented this company today. A disappointment.

Negative experience: Told me after a year I was on a month to month lease, charged me an extra $50/month to maintain that. Then they tried to charge me for an entire years lease and legally "evicted" me for not paying even though I'd left the property 2 months prior and talked with them several times about the month/month lease and had verbally been told several times the problem would be corrected. Also, the maintenance was useless (I gave up on asking) and the place wad NOT well maintained. Only good thing about them is they left me alone while I lived there.
