It was such a quick process from 4 days of open houses, to having it sold on the 4th day and to be honest he said he could have it sold and we kind of didn't believe him, but he did he got it done and doing all the updates to the house, packing and moving in 3 days my head just stopped spinning...lol so thank you Fred and your team you made it so easy. Fantastic experience: The day I listed my lakefront home with Fred and Team I had a strong feeling that he was going to be the one to sell it. His marketing plan really impressed me. It included setting up a barista at my open houses. This was not only novel but it added a touch of class to my listing. He also did an onsite video of my home and the neighborhood which he posted on Facebook. And to top it off Fred used his great sense of humor to add some color to this! Negative experience: Moved to Erie in January of 2024. Stated looking for a home for me and my son who has an IEP. Which means I need a home in a decent school district. I found a home online and contacted the listing agent. I did not know he had his own team. He sent his team to show us the house which needed a lot of work to fix up. We liked the house when we walked through and I wanted to make an offer but let the agent know I needed to walk back through and made an appointment when my contractor could walk the house with me and get real measurements so we can an idea of how much the remodel would cost. They pressured me to put in an offer before I was able to do any of that and then after I put in my offer they were blowing up my phone to raise my offer. We were rightfully upset after our experience but I wanted to try and talk things out so I emailed the team leader who emailed me back and we set up a time for him to call. He never called. I waited for him to call but nothing until after the time past and I got a message. Don’t remember what it said just felt completely disrespected. I am a single mom who has been through a lot and don’t have time for people who are going to be so rude. I also let them know before we started talking I will not work with high pressure sales people. I walked a couple open houses where the whole team is present and they try and succeed a lot at getting both sides of the sale which is banned at most real estate businesses. I worked as an agent for kw in a different state and they don’t allow it at all because it is a conflict of interest. It was awkward walking through open houses with them so I started avoiding them. With the current market being so high I don’t know why so many agents want to create bidding wars like this team does. This house I tried to buy from them was sitting on the market for quite a while when I saw it and asked to look. They had no interest until I put my offer which I was pressured to put. Then they kept pressing me to raise my offer and refused to let me walk the house again saying it was under contract. That makes no sense because if it was under contract that means the buyer had to accept an offer which wasn’t yet the case. It was probably a misuse of words but that is not acceptable when you are an agent and I could have easily filed a complaint with the board of realtors. I however did not want to do that because I really liked the agent and want to see her succeed. I hope they do not do this to others but I know how some agents are. Just like a car sales person they are also sales people. They need and want to sell. I personally would like to see a reform in the real estate industry. People shouldn’t get financially screwed just to buy a home to live in. Especially in Erie where it is one of the poorest places in America. I personally have only bought off market deals locally and will be patient and continue to wait for those rather then get whiplash from some of these agents trying to get more commission from a deal that are high pressure. Maybe some people feel like they don’t have a choice but in this day and age it seems like people want everything right now. Have patience and you will find your perfect place in this crazy market. Fantastic experience: Never wanted to sell our dad’s camp but, having Fred as our realtor, made the process as good as it could be. Fred is extremely responsive, engaging, and resourceful in finding skilled and expert contractors at short notice. He has a good sense of humor and is sympathetic to odd requests. So if you’re a problem person with eccentric needs like I am, Fred’s your guy! We have hired Fred several times in the past and we wouldn’t come back to him if he wasn’t the hardest working realtor we’ve seen. He even FaceTimed us from Italy once to check on a different sale. As a bonus, he gave us an inscribed Cutco kitchen knife at the closing. As I understand it, he gives a better knife with each sale, so I’m working with Fred till I get the Cutco Cleaver with a Sheath!
