Negative experience: I reached out to him as a first time home buyer. He asked several questions and asked if there was any way I could get my loan pre-approval higher. He said that I would receive a call from someone on his team. No one ever reached back out. Seems like they weren't happy with the commission they would receive. I found another realtor who helped me through everything and made me feel as if I was his top priority. I definitely recommend looking for other realtors and not bothering with Hodgkins.

Fantastic experience: We recently sold our father's apartment in Syracuse with Chip Hodgkins representing us. Chip and his team were awesome to work with from start to finish. He made good recommendations about what to do (and not do) to present the apartment for sale, and connected us with a really excellent, affordable painter who did a fabulous job. The images his photographer made of the space were so nicely done we actually thought twice about selling the place. Fantastic experience: I am a die hard do it yourself-er with everything I do. I invest the time to learn and research. As I planned selling my Condo I planned on "for sale by owner". But first I decided to heed the advice of Barbara Cochran and give The Chip Hodgkins Team a chance to pitch their plan. It turned out to be one of the best real estate moves I ever made. The first call I made Chip answered the phone!!! no voicemail, no assistant, no automated system! Chip patiently and respectfully listened to my plan and my specific requirements. Then he quickly countered with a BETTER plan. He sold the condo in three days for 10% MORE than I wanted. I wanted to wait until the end of May for the condo to go on the market, he created a plan that put it on the market the first week in April. The result: the sale closed the first week in June!!! Fantastic experience: There is enough that I can talk about Chip's team, especially Vicky. If I sent her to a home, she was a bull dog. She would get to a home 20 minutes early just to walk around the property and tell us anything good or bad. Not once did my wife or I felt pressured into buying a house. It felt like we had a boxing coach on our backside telling us where to hit. There were nights where she stayed up to 2 in the morning looking at houses with us. What I liked the most is she would talk to me not just about homes, but what's happening in our lives. And I trust her. She is straight forward, no bull***, and as a Veteran I appreciated that.
