Negative experience: Terrible Customer Service, Beware! I personally went to a whole buying process of a property with this agency, and can confirm that was one of the most terrible experiences I’ve had in my life. The only fact of buying a property is already stressful, but this agency put it to the very limit. The first visit to the property was good, it was shown by a lady who is in the learning process and did a great job, smiling, proactive, and had a good enough amount of information for a first quick visit. I wish she would have taken lead of all the process. Everything started to get more complicated once the owner, who is the person who answers the reviews here, took control of the situation. From there, everything was disorganized, all in a rush and with constant pressure to get the money. I understand that this could be a common “practice” from the agencies now days, but it does not mean that is correct. The market in Barcelona is indeed very aggressive, but believe me, unless you are a vulture fund, you will want to make sure everything is in order before investing your savings. From the moment the owner took control, I knew it was going to be a stress path. They had ZERO proactivity in providing the must BASIC documentation, and I had to ask one of by one, the most basic things ANYONE would need to put down an offer. Documentation came in very long times, most of it incomplete, and all certificates were already past due, which give a clear idea that none was taking care of the property correctly. By the time this happened, I kept receiving aggressive messages pushing to put down the money and with “kind messages” expelling they need to keep offering the property to others, when it was them delaying in giving me the basic documentation. The things got even worst when they “transferred” the transaction to a lawyer (property owner’s lawyer, BUT that I was told many time that they have worked with him plenty of times and that he was professional and trustable) From this point they (Casa Mona) totally disconnected from any process or assistance I could possible need. I won’t go deeper with the lawyer, as he is a separate company, but PLEASE, if you have to go with this agency because you liked one of the properties, and you hear the name of the lawyer, Jaume Prats, DO whatever is in your hands so he is not in charge of your case. This person is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever had to deal with. Unresponsive, rude, zero interests, and will try to go around you to fool you and take advantage of you. The owner of the agency even shared by mistake some screenshots between them where he was referring to me with bad words, so, what could I expect from both. But again, he is not “part of the agency” but DOES work with them plenty of transactions as it was confirmed by the agency. I had several calls with the owner of the agency asking for support, but at this point she had her commission secured (which by the way, the same lawyer shared with me it was a lot, so you can understand his profile) and did not care about the case anymore. No help, no advice, no mediation with the owner (which also has a good relationship with the agency), no nothing. I heard several time the phrase “I have 10 years of experience in the business” which is great for you, but truly 0 experience in customer service and empathy with their clients. They will do nothing to help you and will just wait the best moment to move away and let you solve things by your self. I know, based on other reviews, that I am not the only one that has gone through an extremely frustrating experience with this agency, so please be very careful! I had visited many agencies and visited properties in the city before ending with this one, and plenty of the other agencies will put the world upside down to make you feel secure of what you will be doing, guiding you through the process and overall, making such a delicate experience as smooth as possible, which DID NOT happen with Casa Mona.

Negative experience: We tried to rent an apartment and with the deposit months in advance, and two weeks before they left us stranded with the process because the owner no longer wanted to rent it because Csamona messed up the contract indicating an entrance date that had not been agreed upon. Subsequently, they were changing the team we worked with without notifying us. They told us that one week before the scheduled entrance date, after having sent the initial deposit to ensure that the apartment would no longer be shared on the internet, and yet we found it active again hours after they informed us that they no longer wanted to rent to us, after having left us with so much time secured and money on their part.

Negative experience: Do NOT book with casamona, we got scammed for 3.000 euro’s each. By an employee of casamona, they said they were going to fix it but 2 months later and we still don’t have the money back. Just DON’T use/thrust Casamona they are frauds.

It’s a Real Estate boutique who cares a lot for their customers, both owners and buyers, and they treat them with accuracy and full dedication. All the team lead by Tine is extremely professional, they speak several languages and know very well the market in Barcelona. Totally reliable, they make very good job every day!

Negative experience: Avoid This Rental Company at All Costs My experience with this rental company was absolutely terrible. From the start, they made the process far more complicated than it needed to be. Instead of providing support and making things easier, they only added to my stress. The agents were incredibly rude, especially one named Elitsa, who stood out for her unprofessional behavior. She was dismissive and unhelpful, doing nothing to assist me and only making the situation worse. To top it all off, there was an incident where I accidentally locked myself out of my apartment. When I reached out for help, they demanded payment under the table to resolve the issue. This was completely unacceptable and made me feel even more uneasy about dealing with them. And one of their one agent came and just locked up the door for cash under the table Overall, my experience with this company was a disaster. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and seem more interested in making a quick buck than in actually helping their clients. I strongly advise against using their services—save yourself the stress and stay away.

Fantastic experience: TLDR: Casamona helped me go from from search to sale in 17 days. Can't recommend them enough. Huge thanks to Casamona for offering an outstanding buyer's agent service. I approached them in early July for a quote, explained my tight timeline to purchase, and contracted with them on July 15. They organized apartment visits within 48 hours, guided me through the process, and as of July 31 we completed a purchase, keys in hand. Mile, Lea, Tine, and their team were all highly responsive, communicative, and efficient. They advised on neighborhoods, building construction quality, etc., and assisted in negotiations with the buyer and closing. I could never have accomplished a home purchase in this timeframe without their support and services. Highly recommend them and the buyer's agent service.

Negative experience: Hello, I am back on the site to cancel my arrival message. We always have the red carpet when we come to rent and the interns do the job, as they keep the agency running. I can speak from my daughter's experience since I accompanied her in her apartment search process. The stay has just finished, 5 complicated months, you pay 1200 euros in cash upfront for agency fees. You sign a contract, normally during your rental, if you have difficulties, you notify the agency of the different problems encountered, which was our case (collapse of a piece of the bathroom ceiling, common area normally renovated, nothing was done (staircase very dirty and dilapidated), intercom in the apartment never put into operation, and our friends the cockroaches also present in the apartment, etc... for a rent of 1200 euros and 1400 in the months of June and July for a 2-room apartment certainly renovated of 35 m2. The agency did nothing except communicate with the owner, this was handled by the poor interns on-site. For the condition of the premises, the new intern managed as best as she could, but at the agency 'Responsible' level, never seen except on the first day to collect the envelope with the cash... Condition of the premises signed by both parties without any comments, the housing was compliant, everything was okay at that moment. But the owner kept 600 euros from the deposit, for cleaning fees?? not clean enough for her taste, while we had cleaned everything (floor, stains on the wall, kitchen, dust, etc...) We negotiated with the agency that the rent would remain at 1200 euros given the problems encountered, but in the end, the owner keeps 400 euros for adjustment, the agency did nothing. The students and interns are good pigeons. Caution because even the best-rated agencies are not that reliable. I still thank the intern HUGUES who left the agency as of today, but who was the only one who listened.

Negative experience: I replied to an ad on idealista and they sent an email with the rental conditions. Firstly, it is illegal to make the tenant pay agency fees for a long term rental (i.e. 1-3 yrs as detailed on their website). Second, they are basically saying you will have to sue the landlord to get your deposit back- this is true all over Barcelona- and clearly they don't care. A reputable agency would not work with landlords who steal deposits. I would definitely avoid this agency.

Negative experience: I was initially going to rate this agency rather highly for the help they provided me, but after my experience it's absolutely impossible for me to do so. Given the impossible renting situation in Barcelona and being a student from England, this experience was rather new to me. I actually ended up booking a flight to Barcelona with my mum for 24 hours to find somewhere to live, where we viewed an apartment offered by Casamona. We saw it, even met the owner and agreed that we'd like to rent it and meet at the estate agents the very next day to discuss documents, requirements, etc. At the time, the listing stated that renting was available for 1 month up until 11 months. A bit of back and forth between myself and my flatmate, ultimately we agreed that we definitely are happy to rent for 11 months. My mum and I left Barcelona feeling accomplished. We send their agency fee, a few days pass and there is no update from them. I'm getting worried; I'm due to fly out the same week to pick up the keys. Only then do they tell me on the week I'm supposed to leave for Barcelona that the owner has randomly changed his mind and he doesn't want to rent to us. I'm stranded (still am haha!) without an apartment a few days before I was due to leave to start university in Barcelona. The reason given: the owner does not want to rent to two girls (my friend and I) from separate families. I'm shocked at this answer and I think the two agents from Casamona were as well. They seemed embarrassed and offered us other options but they just were not right for us given the location and price. Had it been left like this, I probably would have been writing a different review on this site; unfortunately this is not the case. They REASSURED us that to pull out so soon, leave two girls stranded and giving a confusing and unacceptable reasoning behind it meant that they were striking this man off his profile and would not be working with him again. I felt glad that the agency cared about their potential future customers, even if we wouldn't be one of them. I'm gobsmacked when, in my hasty search for last minute apartments, I go online and see that not only are Casamona still working with the man, but the price has actually been reduced for the apartment. It's sad. I can't believe they would lie to us and tell me that they wouldn't be working with him again to then go and do just that. At the end of the day, these guys only care about getting their commission. I still don't know what made that man deny us the apartment but I truly hope Casamona never gets it off their hands. Lies and deceit is not a great business model but I'm starting to think it's all too common in Barcelona.

I found an interesting apartment on their website and just went to their office without an appointment. Quentin knew exactly if the apartment was still available or not, could tell me what I had to do, and he would always answer within minutes on WhatsApp. So in no time I got a visiting date and then the contract.
