Negative experience: Not recommended. We bought a single-family home in Valladolid and the experience has not been satisfactory at all regarding the treatment received. In contrast to some reviews I read (mainly from sellers), our buying process was tense and unpleasant, filled with demands in only one direction. In our case, we, the interested buyers, presented economic offers for the property, which allowed us to increase if another interested party surpassed our offer, a circumstance that occurred (it felt like an auction...). The higher the price, the more they charge (in our case, the buyer paid a fee of 3% of the purchase price, plus what the seller paid, which I don’t know if it was the same). We made some requests, which later, when we spoke directly with the seller, they told us had not been communicated at any time. Our feeling is that they only worked for the interest of the seller (even though the fees were paid by both parties). In the end, we bought the house and the whole process has concluded, but honestly, we do not recommend it, and we would not do it again... but in the end, if you like the house, you have no choice but to "go through the hoop".

Negative experience: I proceed to share my opinion regarding the treatment received by Mara (team MaraVillas) after sending it to her: Starting from the premise that the real estate agent is hired by the seller, I would understand that your services are aimed at covering the interests of the seller. However, since the commission is paid equally between the seller and the buyer (to which your services are imposed on us), I believe it would be fair for your work to also be focused on facilitating our purchase process, and I honestly did not feel this way. Perhaps the fact that the seller was your brother made you lose a bit of the neutral and objective position, but: - During the sales process, I felt pressured both by the price and by the timelines. I understand that this is how business works and your job as a real estate agent is to maximize profits, but the feeling for me was quite unpleasant. Even that you waited until the last hour of the day when the seller was telling me whether he would sell it to me or not, when that same day, around noon, I received a call from Unicaja regarding the mortgage (I understand that you are not going to give them my number for them to call me if you do not know already that the apartment is going to be 'for me'). - Regarding the reservation contract, setting a deadline of 90 days so I would have more time to look for the mortgage and give the seller time to organize himself, and during that time, the only one fulfilling my part was me (who already knew that the time it would take me to find the mortgage would be the time it took me to decide). Since your brother, at no point, sought an option to leave the apartment before the deadline (or not much before, at least). - I also felt pressured to buy the furniture when you implied that if I didn't do so, he would take the wardrobes (built-in wardrobes, by the way). This gesture seemed very ugly on your part and even more so when you told me on March 15 that your brother was taking EVERYTHING and that he already had EVERYTHING ORGANIZED when he either didn’t take everything (not just leaving furniture and appliances, which you didn’t consult me about wanting, but also leaving a plant, assorted products, drinks, etc.) nor did he have anything organized and that’s why the purchase signing could not be done in April (by April 9, I already had my FEIN issued, and since mid-April, the furniture I had already purchased was in a warehouse) but rather in May, when your brother, the seller, who DID choose to hire you, was fine with it. - Regarding the appraisal, you bragged about having spoken with the appraiser to be generous when neither I had asked you for it nor did I need it. Rather, in terms of getting home insurance through the bank, having a high appraisal penalizes me since the cost will be higher (and that, no matter how much you say otherwise, is the case). - And the cherry on top arrived when I requested to see the apartment before signing, and there were all sorts of inconveniences on your part, and it was me who had to adapt to you... in short, honestly, I do not believe at all that showing me the apartment twice before making the offer, handing me the documentation of the apartment, letting me enter the apartment so that the painters could give me a quote, and facilitating the appraiser to do his job are worth, not even close to the 3% of the sale price + VAT that I just paid you, and I also don’t believe that your way of doing things contributes to improving the bad reputation that real estate agents have.
