Negative experience: Foreigners be aware ! Lucas Fox will tell you whatever to rent you a place. We were told we could use the place to do the Empadronamiento without problem but actually we had to go twice and almost beg the person to use the contract for the empadronamiento. Every mentions we asked to get modified on the contract were rejected. Be careful with this company they will always prioritise owners, since they take money out of them, over renters. Additionally they ask you to provide 3 months deposit for a temporary rental when by law the max they can ask is 2 months. Horrible experience with the company. To avoid absolutely.

Negative experience: The worst luxury agency in Barcelona. Prices skyrocketed without respecting the index set by law, listings for unavailable properties, and they charge the tenant a commission instead of the owner, which is PROHIBITED in Spain. Mafioso practices, ultimately taking advantage of people's ignorance. They have accumulated numerous complaints at Facua. Stay away from them like the plague.

Fantastic experience: We sold a penthouse with a terrace in Poble-sec with Lucas Fox, exclusively, and we would do it again with our eyes closed, because of the agency's services, but especially because of José Miguel Esteban, our agent. On the first day we met, he seemed to me to be capable and professional, but above all trustworthy. I also thought that working with LF would facilitate many things, such as having a good video, good photos, the necessary documentation, and especially access to international clients, and even more difficult, gaining the trust of these international clients in the apartment we sold. She made a super productive viewing schedule, was super easy to communicate with and finally made the whole apartment purchase experience very easy and smooth. Negative experience: I want to share my (very short) experience with this real estate agency. I contacted them through an apartment listing platform because I was very interested in an apartment they have for rent; a guy named Pedro called me on the phone to inform me about the requirements to enter the apartment and he asked me a series of questions to see if I fit the profile that the owner is looking for; as a conclusion, he told me that everything would be in order but that he would send me an email (the email is the screenshot I attached) with the information about the apartment or rather, the requirements to enter the apartment. I was surprised to find out that this 'real estate agency' charges 10% in fees + VAT for managing the contract (something that is completely ILLEGAL as established by law). I talked to him and asked why they make this charge if it's not allowed anymore, and his response was that they charge this because they take care of the 'check-in,' and besides that, to register the services and not much else, to which I insisted that it is illegal to charge this and his response was that this is how they work, and if it’s not done this way, then I should not take the apartment, and indeed that is what I will do since what they do is disguise these charges under different names and continue profiting at the expense of the tenants.

Fantastic experience: Nick was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our first call when we reached out, he was very straightforward with us, explained how he works, how Lucas Fox works, and a lot about the neighborhoods we should be looking at. My wife and I were set on El Gotic/El Born because thats where you gravitate to as a tourist, but Nick was very helpful in explaining the downfalls of living in tourist destinations when you transition from tourist to resident. We spent about 1 or 2 months going back and forth digitally looking at properties until we nailed down about 9 or 10 to see in person. It was great walking through in person with him as he was detailed and also it didnt feel like some other agencies in Barcelona that want you, as an international buyer, to come in and make a purchase of the first thing they think you should buy. We narrowed down to 2 places and he really helped us make the final decision. He then went to bat for us in negotiating and got us a great price on our property that we are so thrilled to now call home! Ps - he has given us a lot of food recommendations in the area so if you happen to be looking for properties with him, pick his brain on some food options as well!

Fantastic experience: As an American seeking to make my first investment in Spain, I was fortunate to be introduced to Miguel Cidoncha. Besides speaking perfect English, Miguel had lived in the United States and understood some of the variables I was dealing with I probably my spent an inordinate amount of time just trying to learn the various neighborhoods and property valuations and he was patient throughout. I found the advice he gave to be spot-on and was able to close on an apartment that will be for personal use. Have since gone back to him and have a deal pending on an rental property. Fantastic experience: We would not have closed on our perfect house if it was not for the immaculate support of agent Nick Trafford from Lucas Fox. Not only was he a pleasure to work with, he supported us through a couple of nerve-wracking wrinkles that arose during the process. He was always responsive, prompt, reliable, and honest. Importantly, when it was needed, he also also fought very hard in support of our efforts and represented us well. Our deal almost fell apart when another agency with loose business ethics tried to weasel between things. It looked dark for a moment, but Nick managed to leverage his network, knowledge, and skills to put an end to it and get things back on track. He was a rock of patience and calm throughout. Highly recommended to all and bonus points for any expats needing local english-speaking support from an agent.

We worked together remotely at first and Mark did a great job identifying apartments that fit our style and budget and even did video tours of our top choices. We travelled to Barcelona for 2 days to view the top contenders in person and Mark did a great job of scheduling efficient showings and sharing his wealth of neighborhood knowledge. They speak English and have been helpful in dealing with the sellers, who were not always proficient in English. Contracts could be signed remotely via Docusign, and the team has been available to deal with unexpected problems. Highly recommending, with a special mention to Noemi. Fantastic experience: About 3 years ago, my wife and I started looking into buying an apartment in Barcelona. Due to pandemic, travel restriction, and so on, we had to delay the process.
