Experiencia negativa: Makes Beal look like a saint! Zero integrity. And that's how you lose good tenants. Missed an appointment THEY requested. No courtesy call. No text. When they finally reached out to tell me the guy couldn't make it (hours later!!), and I asked their mission statement, he had no idea. I ended my vacation much earlier than I'd hoped for this appointment, and took time off work for this. Build a case? That's what all their tenants need to do. Log everything. Call Fair Housing, and file a complaint with the Division of Real Estate. Call Dpt. of Commerce. Call Engage Toledo. This is an unsavory company that just took over as property management, and it's been nothing but problems, and they're only 12 days into their position. Zero stars for zero integrity. To them it's just a missed appointment. To me, it's time that I had to take off work. Sad sad company. And Hugo said "we want to make it right with you", but when I asked him how, he had no response. Trashy company. My former landlord was amazing. This is just bad business behavior. Janeile said "you don't need to call us having a meltdown.." when we get your rent amount and date wrong. (Guess you don't take your bills as seriously as I take mine, Ms J) Such a classy, professional response. If you'd learn to do your job, I wouldn't even have to call, lol. You guys can't even do your jobs right. From missed appointments to lousy management, to classless responses void of any real people skills. The "good reviews" are lies. Find out for yourself, though. Check the Better Business Bureau, while you're at it.

I have listened to the recorded phone calls and don’t appreciate the rude way you treated my staff members and explicit language used as they calmly tried to de-escalate a minor situation that you chose to amplify. I, too, have spoken to Fair Housing and the BBB. We are legally compliant and ethically minded, with no ounce of discrimination.Unfortunately, your residence is in significant need of repair, which is why our professional property management company has been brought on board— in order to work through the proper channels to get the property into fully functioning shape again.

Experiencia negativa: THE MOST DISGUSTING DISRESPECTFUL SUPPOSE TO BE COMPANY IVE EVER SEEN I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE A DOT OR A BOOGER PLEASE DONT BE ILLITERATE THEY THINK YOURE DUMB.ALSO IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN 5 YRS OLD OR UNDER PLEASE ‼️PLEASE ‼️ BE MINDFUL AND THOROUGHLY CHECK THE HOME (LEAD PAINT)‼️‼️‼️ DONT GO BY THEIR WANNABE MAINTENANCE PEOPLE. Experiencia negativa: Slumlords. Will keep your deposit even if you pay on time every month and leave it like it was when you moved in. Doesnt care how Tenant keeps their property. Do not follow up on complaints. Overpriced for bad/unsafe neighborhoods. Again will keep you deposit no matter what.

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely enjoyed today at laplante, staff is wonderful, office is cozy, Leasa is always on the job, she explains things well, very warming personality, it makes the trip to the office a breeze for me. My leasing Manager Tiffany Thompson also "made it make sense today", she knows her stuff, I enjoyed yet again at Laplante Real Estate.

Experiencia negativa: I have been calling & calling & leaving messages for months with no response. I finally went in to speak to a Person.. My lease has been up for Montgs & would like to move to a smaller house.. Basically got brushed off.. Never had a problem until NOW... NOT A HAPPY TENNANT... 2

According to our records, you made your intentions known on Sept 29 to our customer service associate, and you were given the number to our listing agent. On Oct 5, that listing agent reached out to you with the active listings she had and advised you to keep an eye on our available properties on our website.Today, you came into the office, and our staff member reviewed all our listings with you again – none of which met your needs. We gave you a card with our website so you can check for new listings since we don’t presently have a property that meets your requirements and the listings are always updated online.We only lease and manage contracted properties – not every rental in the area. While we would love to keep you in one of the properties we manage, you are free to look for a rental outside of our listings if what we have is not what you are looking for. We wish you the best!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They will say you owes months of paid rent then evict you and keep charging you rent and late fees. Not to mention the lease holder was in the hospital and almost died twice. They do not take care ofgh property like they are supposed to for instance 5 times since March I've called maint. about and animal inside the downstairs ceiling and in September it still remains. They don't give you the water bills on time then tell you that you have to pays months worth of water bills or you're being evicted. They love to put up 3 days notices and charge $50 everytime they put one up. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this company after renting from them for close to 4 years.

Experiencia negativa: I would give this company negative stars if I could. I rented a property for two years. Always paid my bills within the month, and kept communication when my rent would be late. Despite water damage on my kitchen floor, my carpet was so nasty my legs would itch just by walking in my home barefoot. The landlord Dave rejected me for asking if I could have cleaners come out. The apartment was not cleaned at all before I moved in. This was also during Covid. Aside from that I had a summer job and left my things in a few days after my move out date. When I went back for my things, everything in the basement area was gone. All of my furniture, shoes, clothes, vintage collectibles I had over the years, just gone. I’ve lost everything with I owned with this company. No one gave me the heads up that my things would be thrown away, even a day before the trash was to be scheduled. Then they charged me over 700 dollars just for leaving it there. So I got back no deposit. I have thought about taking this company to court cause I’ve lost THOUSANDS of dollars worth of things I’ve worked so hard for. Management never answered calls to fix maintenance issues, also fear of asbestos. Never trust this company. I’ve had to start over completely at my new place with nothing. I’m still struggling with dealing with the loss of my possessions.

Experiencia negativa: This is the 3rd time that my gas has been shut off due to them not paying the gas company. Their response was " the owner doesn't have the funds to pay it". If you can't pay a simple bill you have no place in managing peoples homes!

Experiencia negativa: WORST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER SEEN, DO NOT CHOSE THEM FOR YOUR INVESTMENT PROPERTIES, THEY TOOK COUPE THOUSAND DOLLARS WITHOUT EVEN GETTING MY AUTHORIZATION WHEN THEY KNEW I WAS GOING TO GET OUT OF THEIR CONTRACT THEY TREATED ME LIKE A SLAVE AND TALKED TO ME IN RUDE WAY. Experiencia negativa: The communication is horrible. I was told by an employee prior to move in date about a bill that I would be able to see in the portal. I never seen the bill in the portal and they waited until last minute to inform me about the bill which accrued up to $500+, via text message and I was left with an outstanding bill of the $500+. They proceeded to tell me it was sent via email by another employee, in which i never knew of. I asked to speak with a manager about the issue, never spoke to one mind you, in order to be compensated for the miscommunication and the unexpectedness, they denied it stating that I would’ve had to pay it anyway. Prior to me moving in, they was aware of a drain problem caused by the roots of the trees around the house. It took them over 2 weeks and 2 different companies to fix the roots and drains, so I was unable to use my washer or dryer. I was also told to minimize my water usage until the problem was fixed. I was never compensated for the inconvenience of that. I also put in a request for maintenance, and they would set up my appointment but never showed at the time it was set. The communication and inconvenience is very annoying and inconsiderate.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would. I like the maintenance team, but nothing ever gets done. My window is broken and has been since April 15th and it's still not taken care of. I've put multiple requests in on the portal and left multiple voicemails to try to get in contact with someone, but alas, no response. Sometimes they mark our requests complete without even contacting us. Not to mention their office is only open for 5 hrs and if you call you almost never can actually talk to someone. People have came out twice to look at the window and they boarded it. But now with this heat, our electricity bill is outrageous considering it goes right out the huge whole in the window and we have an ant problem we can't control. Maybe they'll see this review and finally decide to do something about it, but I won't get my hopes up.

Experiencia positiva: Totally friendly & professional staff. I'd give a 5, but am having constant trouble accessing maintenance portal. They always resolve my issues though & am confident things will improve, based on their performance. I am overall very happy with them.

Experiencia negativa: I would not even give you a star but I don't have an opition in order to write a review. This company is horrible, I have been with them for 1 year and have paid all my rent and utilities on time. When it comes time to them paying their bills and if they owe you money FORGET ABOUT IT!!!! I only have one bathroom and my shower was leaking for 2 mths before the owner was ever contacted to even fix it. After they were contacted and it was approved to repair I had to stay in a hotel while it was repaired because well it was the only bathroom and out of commission for 3 days. Using my money I payed for said hotel room and have yet to be reimbursed 4 mths later. I have wrote emails, left messages and noone returns either. Secondly, it has been a year so my lease is up, time to sign a new lease and I decided to go back and look at why I was supposed to be paying 750 and was being charged 762 the whole year. There it was a $12 fee if you don't carry insurance, now mind you I have had insurance and they have had a copy on file for the entire time and still charged me. I know some are like oh it's only $12 a month, that 12 dollars adds up and it is about to be the holidays so here we are they owe me around $500 and have the nerve to add my rent again this month with the 12 fee on it AGAIN!!!! HORRRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! Lastly lets not talk about the dumb answering service they don't have that DOES NOT answer the phone and there is no way to get in touch with anyone unless you physically walk into their office in which I WILL be doing!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: LaPlante Property Management has been wonderful. Our previous property management company was disorganized, rude, and we weren't sure what was going on with our properties. As out of town real estate investors, we feel very confident using LaPlante because they have displayed nothing but professional service since we first began using them. Communication is great, the platform they use for owners is easy to navigate, and all members of the staff we've worked with have been great. I highly recommend LaPlante. We can't wait to try out the real estate side of the company next time we buy rentals.

They have a good financial tracking system in Buildium and make the process of buying and selling any investment properties very simple! I highly recommend using them for investment properties in the Toledo area.

Experiencia fantástica: I am an out of state investor, and have never physically seen the property I own. But I am able to sleep at night knowing Mike and his crew are looking after my property as if it were their own. Communication is crucial when you invest out of state, and LaPlante gets back to me with thorough answers to all of my questions. And as I was in the process of buying, Mike would help me scout out properties and give me his opinion on the area and the rentability of a given home. I look forward to purchasing several more properties in Toledo and am comforted by the fact that LaPlante will be managing them!

Soy un inversionista fuera del estado que recién comenzó su viaje en Ohio el año pasado con 3 pequeñas propiedades multifamiliares. La comunicación es clave y Mike y Katie son increíblemente receptivos y comprensivos.
