In our case, we had to leave out of fear of squatters, and the landlord made up false reasons not to return the deposit. In the end, he said he would return it, and more than half a year later, we are still waiting...

The negative part comes when my son leaves the property because someone opens the mailbox or calls the intercom at odd hours. Well, the owner of the property refuses to return his deposit claiming that he drilled two holes in a tile in the kitchen, which is completely false; it's an excuse to keep the money of a student who does not have any income. Lara offers to pay the deposit out of her own pocket, but I refuse because she is not to blame for her client's actions. And I want to emphasize my gratitude to Lara for her concern; it's a pity that sometimes you encounter irresponsible people who tarnish her work.
