Negative experience: The gardens are very beautiful, the small palace as well, an idyllic atmosphere. I attended a work dinner with many people, but except for the dessert, the food was not up to par, nor was the room where it took place, very empty and lacking charm.

Positive experience: Good food in an unparalleled setting, a bit pricey but worth it.

Fantastic experience: We ordered a ventresca salad, Huelva prawns, and zamburiñas to share. For main courses, we had oven-baked turbot and grilled hake. For dessert, we had cheesecake and truffles. Everything was really tasty. Íñigo served us, he was delightful. He explained a bit about the history of the palace and showed us some salons.

Negative experience: Excellent food Spectacular place Terrible service for the place, a young waiter, a plate without a dish underneath, he didn't know how to open a bottle of wine and the best part was when he cleared the table... he must have thought he was at home... first, he picked up the cutlery and held them all in one hand, there were six of us... passing the plates in between, I could smell his armpit several times, and he intervened in the conversations... They could train the waiters... Other than that, very good.

Fantastic experience: We went for my parents' wedding anniversary celebration. As soon as we arrived, the facilities are amazing, a beautiful palace. The service attention is very good and attentive. The dishes were very good! We ordered shared starters and a main dish (meat/fish) for each of us. Finally, we got two desserts and coffees. We were 5 people. I want to highlight the perfect service provided by the two waitresses on the terrace, they made the experience even better!

Fantastic experience: I have been there for work meals several times, the place is very nice and the waiters are very friendly. We have eaten well, but for me, it is a bit difficult to access.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful palace for getting married. The gardens where we held the ceremony and the cocktail were fabulous. Inside, the different halls are very well decorated. The food is spectacular (especially the anchovy rib) and in very good quantity. All the guests, including those with special menus, were delighted with the venue and the food. The service was very good both with the guests and with the team we hired, who worked very comfortably. Special thanks to Siria, who was super attentive to our needs and questions from the beginning. Also to the waiters Iñigo and Yolanda, who attended us perfectly and everything turned out very well.

The spacious rooms have been converted into 'almost private' dining areas with a few conveniently separated tables, leaving plenty of room to move around. Magnificent service, attentive and eager to help diners with their choice of dishes. The menu features traditional dishes with good food quality. High prices, but the place and its exquisite nature are worth it. Tuna tartare (€24), Ventresca salad (€22), Sea bass (€28), Hake with squid (€24), Desserts (€9). Very recommended place for groups and families with small children due to the spaciousness of the place. Children's admission: Children are accepted and special chairs are provided for little ones. Access for wheelchairs: There is an elevator/lift at the back of the palace, although I'm not sure if a wheelchair would fit, a stroller might fit, but just.

Fantastic experience: We went for a birthday celebration with 5 people and a small child (2 years old). The child fell asleep and had already eaten, so I will explain what the others had: We ordered three appetizers to share: • Ventresca salad (it's delicious when accompanied by pickled onion and roasted red pepper) • Red tuna tartar. It was good, but nothing remarkable. Good quality. • Sautéed vegetables. Excellent, I would order it again. For main courses, we ordered: • 3 servings of sea bass, we were told they served it by fillet, so they were probably part of large sea bass. • 1 serving of hake in batter with squid in its ink, we were told it was the typical and most traditional dish of the place. • 1 serving of squid in its ink with white rice. I tried this one, and it was particularly good, good quality, good texture, and very tasty. For dessert we ordered: • Idiazabal cheese platter. Very good. It was served with quince and bread. • Truffles. It's a good portion, so I recommend sharing among several. They are dark chocolate with cocoa powder coating. They are neither too soft nor too hard. • 2 portions of light Russian cake. They explained to us what traditional Russian cake was like and how it differed from the one they served there. The conclusion is that for a hefty meal, the one they serve is lighter and suitable for celiacs. • Chocolate brownie with pine nuts. We all agreed that the food was excellent, the service was also very good and attentive, without being intrusive, and the place is beautiful. It's a palace that has kept its rooms turning them into different almost private dining rooms; we were there with three other smaller tables than ours. I did notice some cleanliness or maintenance details that the palace lacked, such as a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom, some cobwebs in the corners, or chipped paint in specific areas. The price came to about €53/per. It's definitely worth it! Child admission: • They have high chairs for small children. • There is a small elevator that fits a standard baby stroller to reach the dining area. • There are hallways and gardens where you can stroll with the baby to help them sleep. • There is also a play area nearby. • The waiter tries to interact with children and is very friendly. • The bathrooms are spacious, and there are sofas to change the children, although I didn't see changing tables as such. • They have a children's menu. Access for wheelchairs: Only for narrow wheelchairs because they have a small elevator that leads to the dining area, but it is small, and you access it from a narrow hallway.

Fantastic experience: I took my parents for my birthday and the experience was very good. Starting with Iñigo, who was a professional as good as gold, and who solved everything from the reservation to the end like a master who loves his job. Of course, I cannot overlook the rest of the waiters who were very helpful and kind at all times. For me, they were perfect. The food was all excellent except for the sirloin; honestly, I have never had it so badly, but that does not overshadow the time I spent in this restaurant. Everything else we ate was excellent, and I can attest to that as I tried all the dishes (except for the turbot). The architecture was a 10, the cleanliness a 10. The price was in line with what I expected. Without a doubt, an experience I recommend and hope to repeat with other people. Thank you very much.

Fantastic experience: We went on a Sunday for lunch and we honestly couldn't have chosen a better place. From the moment we walked through the door, we were attended to excellently! All the waiters were very professional and friendly. Regarding the food, every dish we ordered was a complete success; we can't highlight anything because everything is noteworthy. There were 6 of us and all 6 main courses were excellent, just like the desserts and appetizers. The price was around 60 euros per person, including a bottle of wine, water, 3 appetizers, 6 main dishes, and 6 desserts. The place is spectacular, very well preserved and taken care of, with a modern yet classic style. Very cozy.

Fantastic experience: In my opinion, it is a magnificent restaurant with an excellent level of cuisine. Additionally, the building is wonderful and is part of the historical architectural heritage of Getxo.

Negative experience: It's a great shame that we had to leave because we couldn't access the restaurant with a person with reduced mobility; the service elevator couldn't fit the wheelchair, and the other option, which was a stair lift, was broken. They need to solve this problem; I recommend a HYDRAULIC ELEVATOR that doesn't cause issues. The responsible staff made an effort, despite their hurry, to resolve the problem by trying to repair it, but it was impossible. A place as beautiful as this with such friendly staff should not have this issue unresolved.

Fantastic experience: The building retains its timeless charm and has a wonderful interior, with beautiful lounges and bathrooms, but unless you are attending a special event, wedding, or private meal/dinner, the daily menu is not worth it. You pay for the experience of having been there. And if they also seat you outside due to lack of space... the food is hard to enjoy.

Negative experience: I didn't like the food and drink at all, and the staff's treatment was very unpleasant and unfriendly. Dietary restrictions: If you can't eat something or you don't like it, they don't give you another option to choose from, even though some people were given other food. However, my companion was given nothing. I am very disappointed and I don't plan to go back; it's a scam, the price is not worth the little food they serve.

Negative experience: We came for the first time to have the daily menu and we left very disappointed. For the first course, there was a rice with vegetables that was just plain white rice with no flavor, resembling school food. For the second course, cordon bleu. The breading was soft and pale, like when it is reheated... for dessert, a French toast that was worthless... with a small dollop of cream... I mean, for €28 for the menu, I expected much more. The place is very nice but we are sure that we will not return. The service was very slow.

The place is beautiful both inside and out, it has a unique charm and you can enjoy the palace inside and outside in its beautiful gardens + marquee. The food was spectacular!!! Fantastic experience: Celebrating our wedding at the Palacio San Joseren was the best decision. The place is spectacular, close to the sea, close to the metro, the outdoors are perfect for an outdoor cocktail and the tent protects wonderfully from both intense sun and rain. The food was excellent; everyone pointed it out to us. But above all, we would like to highlight Clara's work. Negative experience: It's a very nice place that, based on the experience I had yesterday, is not well utilized and I wouldn't recommend it right now. The food I would say is 'okay', nothing remarkable, considering we paid 50 euros per person. If it weren't for the service, the place and the food, I think it would be a 3.5/5. We had a reservation at 3:00 PM, we were given the menu at 3:30 PM. So far, okay, I can understand there might be a bit of chaos due to Father's Day, but then I thought everything would go smoothly. We ordered, everything took about half an hour to arrive, and by 4:30 PM we had only eaten 3 croquettes and 4 prawns from Huelva. At 4:45 PM, one of the main dishes (chop) arrived, and around 5:00 PM the second (turbot); the turbot was bland and undercooked, we had to ask for it again and it took another 20 minutes to bring it back (also, it wasn’t a half piece, as is usually served, but 1/4 and most were bones). The burner for the chop went out and we had to ask for another one up to 3 times (they said yes but nobody brought anything), until they finally changed it for us (the remaining chop was half-cooked and we couldn't eat it for another 10-12 minutes from when we requested the burner); we also ordered more bread (it never arrived) and around 5:30 PM we ordered dessert which would arrive close to 6:00 PM. Additionally, we asked for 3 scoops of ice cream and they brought us one. In short, a complete disaster of service (which surprised me because everything was calm and there were 4 waiters in the room), although the waiters were pleasant, but this had never happened to me, and I didn't expect it to happen in a place like this. I would say the final comment is 'disappointed' because I was surprised by the place when I arrived, but everything that happened made it not the pleasant day we expected. Such a shame.
