Negative experience: I'm writing my experience here to try to prevent anyone else from going through what happened to me. Around May-June, I signed the reservation contract for a new construction, some townhouses in Maqueda (Residencial Sanabria). They told us they would start building around September. Since I hadn’t heard anything in September or October, I would ask them weekly, to which they replied, 'Everything is fine, Elisa, we will contact you when we have news.' Today, I received a WhatsApp saying the following: 'Hello, I have bad news, the residential project is no longer viable, the reservation money will be refunded, regards.' I find it, to say the least, shameful and unprofessional not to even make a call to warn about the situation. The last time I spoke with them was a week before this message, and up until then, everything was fine. It turns out that the builder realized today that the prices of materials have gone up. It's like someone buying a piece of clothing and then seeing it's more expensive than expected and returning it to adjust the budget a bit more. Now they will be sold again at higher prices, but we are just getting our reservation money back. I don't know the legality of this. The real estate agency insists that they are not to blame, but the ones who are not to blame are the clients, without a doubt. Furthermore, when they decide to continue working with such an unprofessional developer who has deceived clients in this way for months, they cannot say they are not at fault. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
