Negative experience: Part 2 of the review. It’s incredible how most landlords take advantage of the desperation of students and people in need to raise prices exorbitantly under poor conditions and safety. And the crown jewel: the theft of the deposit. A couple of neighbors already warned me to be very careful with the return of the deposit, as they would do everything possible not to return it. That’s why, weeks before leaving the apartment, I arranged for the girl from the real estate agency to come and check that I left the studio in perfect condition on the day of my move so I could get the deposit back and hand over the keys. The day came, and I contacted her to confirm she would be there at the agreed time, but to my surprise, she told me she couldn’t go and asked me to hand her the keys, saying they would check another day and they might return it to me. I refused and told her to send another colleague, as I was not going to hand over the keys without seeing the deposit. I even cleaned the apartment thoroughly, but now I regret it after knowing the outcome. They sent another colleague to check the studio, without the money, and I refused to hand over the keys, presenting myself personally at the real estate agency. There they told me to hand over the keys and that the return of the deposit would take 5 to 10 days (another lie). I replied that I had given them the deposit in cash and that they should return it to me in the same way. It is worth mentioning that at that moment, they already had the money prepared in case their lie didn’t work... They stated that I was right and that they would give it to me in cash, but deducting the garbage fee, that is, taking away €95. At no time were we informed of that in the conditions when I signed the contract. They told me it was specified in the contract and that they had sent it to me via WhatsApp, but in reality, they sent me the contract after I signed it, without giving me time to read the fine print. Because of my small mistake of not taking the contract with me to read it carefully before signing, I lost that money, when in reality, that fee should have been the responsibility of the landlord. At least I managed to ensure they didn't keep the full amount of the deposit, €290. Also, be careful, another €290 in fees... How frustrating. I can't do much more with this comment, but at least I write it to let the truth be known and to warn that one should never trust and hand over the keys without having received the deposit. Unfortunately, many landlords do everything possible to trick you. If my comment can help someone, I will feel relieved, as at least they will know what they might encounter if they decide to rent one of the studios they offer. Don’t let them take you for fools like they have done more than once with me. Mind you, I have always tried to remain polite and formal with them, but I am fed up with how they have taken advantage of me and how often they have ignored me. They have made me lose a lot of peace and money. Deceit, disinterest, lack of communication, and empathy are the main characteristics of this company.

Negative experience: The floors of this building are done poorly. They sell them to you as renovated but it's just a layer of paint over rubble. Neither the owners nor the real estate agency Altages take responsibility for the problems that arise here. If you are thinking of renting, run away from here. Poor communication, poor management, and bad solutions to serious structural problems.
