Negative experience: *NOT RECOMMENDED* In February 2024, I moved with my partner and our two dogs to a place in Santa Cristina, Lavadores, which I found through a real estate website. The details were from the real estate agency HOGARVI. The place was advertised as a cozy townhouse and we were given an (illegal) rental agreement for a primary residence. I'm mentioning this in case I can help someone avoid the same mistake we made: Through a management issue with Aqualia, we learned that it was not a regularized dwelling but a warehouse whose main use was industrial. No one informed us of this before signing the contract or after. With a real estate agency involved, we trusted that everything would be correct and legal, as one would logically expect. Now it seems they have processed the change to residential use (because we found out that the contract situation was irregular and we let them know) but we had to leave the property because it was impossible to breathe inside during the summer (we spent all of July poorly sleeping on the sofa bed and, even with the terrace door open, it was unbearable). I anticipate and presume that in winter there will be humidity, with the potentially serious health risks that implies. When it rains and you are in bed (in the high sloped area), the rain makes a lot of noise and it feels like the ceiling might collapse. It's very easy not to notice these things when visiting the property; there’s a deceptive appearance. Manuel, from HOGARVI, acknowledged being aware of the situation but refused to offer us alternatives, repeatedly stating how 'wonderful people' the owners are. When we learned of the fraud, Manuel even said to me, literally: 'You also know that no one would rent you anything with two dogs. Let's be sensible.' Moreover, the real estate agent lost his temper and shouted at me with unprofessional and uncontrolled remarks (in fact, the next day, we changed the lock for safety). He is committing wrongdoing against the law, just like the owners, and takes no responsibility; on the contrary, we had to endure various rudeness. '(...) Let's be sensible,' says Manuel. That property can also be a problem for pets. We have two dogs, one 14 years old-12 kg and the other two years old-6 kg, and the fatigue they have experienced there, especially the older one, has caused us a lot of distress. We finally left there on Saturday, August 3, 2024. And on Monday, the 5th, they put this property up for rent again, which *indicates, in my ethical opinion, how little they care about the people who will live-suffer there* and, quoting Manuel, how 'wonderful people' they are. Someone desperate to find a place to live in Vigo with their dog will probably end up renting it, as was our case. BE CAREFUL. Additionally, *the information provided in the ads is false*: it’s a building from 1945 but is being advertised as 2021; it’s 30 square meters but advertised as 60 square meters (I base this on the property registry). BE CAREFUL. We have a huge feeling of injustice and helplessness regarding this situation, especially concerning the treatment we received from the real estate agent. Housing is a basic necessity and based on my experience, I believe these people only see the part of their profit and, I think, they don’t care about anything else. Obviously, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this real estate agency at all.
