Negative experience: The experience I had with this agency has been quite disappointing and they have shown me that besides being unprofessional, they have zero empathy and human quality. After months of searching for a rental apartment, my partner and I finally decided to book one. To our surprise, the reservation turned into real estate management fees. What? It’s July 6, 2023, and since May 23, 2023, when the new Housing Law came into effect, the management fees for the real estate agency are to be paid by the owner and not the tenant. But we accepted through a transfer (even though they proposed paying in cash and without VAT) knowing it is illegal because we were tired of searching for apartments. We left happy, and as soon as we got home, we sent the documentation they required for the rental payment insurance. By the way, this documentation is super important and confidential and is sent by email, but they didn’t even bother to respond with at least a 'Received'. We had to call to ask if they received it correctly. Hours later, Carlos calls us, we don’t know what role he has in the agency because he didn’t even introduce himself, saying that we passed the rental payment insurance but that the owner didn’t find our profile suitable. Well, that’s fine. Prior to the ad made by the agency for the apartment, the owner had published the apartment and once the agency published it, the owner removed the ad. Therefore, we had his phone number and even spoke with him. So, we decided to write to him to find out what he didn’t like about our profile. To our surprise, the agency informed the owner that we had a pet. A pet?!?! Where did they get that from? No one asked us if we had a pet or not. That’s when my partner spoke with a guy named Carlos who did nothing but insult us, disrespect us, and yell at us… the thing is he couldn’t justify why he told the owner that we had a pet. What he did say was that 'we should forget about renting with them, that we would never be able to sign any rental contract with that agency.' A very professional response, indeed! They emphasized three times that the owner was the only one who could decide who lived in the house, but if the owner receives false news about future tenants, who decides there, the owner or the agency? Place your bets. This is how they operate… with lies to both owners and tenants, playing with people’s homes. Moral of the story, look for other real estate agencies that are more professional.

Negative experience: They acted in bad faith with me and I recount THE MODUS OPERANDI OF THIS REAL ESTATE AGENCY TO CONTINUE CHARGING FEES TO THE TENANT. They ask to rent [ONE MONTH FOR THE FEES + ONE MONTH FOR THE DEPOSIT + ONE MONTH OF RENT]. My experience with this real estate agency has been truly horrible and unpleasant. To reserve the apartment and make the proposal document, they asked me to pay one month for the agency fees. I agreed to pay the fees since I wanted the apartment. They offered that I pay in cash so there would be no record of that payment, but I preferred to do it by bank transfer with the concept of FEE EXPENSE, adding VAT in addition to requesting an invoice. THAT'S WHERE THE PROBLEM STARTS. Immediately after the reservation, I sent the documentation they requested. Both my partner and I have a good economic profile and are good tenants; we have never had problems with any landlord. The next day, a guy named Carlos from the agency calls me and tells me that there were no problems with the economic profile, but that the owner HAS NOT ACCEPTED MY PROFILE. I was amazed because the owner does not know me and our intention was to live in the property without children or pets. Having the owner's phone number (an hour before the real estate agency published the apartment, he did it privately and I got the contact), I contacted him. What did he tell me about why he had not accepted my profile? Because they told him that I HAD A PET. They deceived the owner into not accepting my rental application. This is the modus operandi of this agency; they act in bad faith so that I do not get the apartment and do not claim the improperly charged fees. They prefer to wait for someone to fall into the trap of paying in cash without leaving any traces of that, plus I cannot claim the fees, which is illegal to charge to the tenant nowadays. To my dismay, I called the real estate agency to ask for explanations about why they said I had a pet to the owner. In addition to speaking to me very badly and cutting me off the whole time, they ended up saying to me in a very angry voice: 'you know why it was, because you started with the topic of the fees and blabla'. They also told me that I would never be able to rent with REDPISO again. This means that I now have to look for listings on Idealista that are not related to the REDPISO real estate agency. This franchise acted on behalf of RedPiso, tarnishing the brand. I lost the apartment I liked. I work and it’s a waste of time every time I have to go see an apartment. I don’t think it's fair for them to play with people's homes or their time. I write my experience so that it doesn't happen again with others, deceiving both the owner and the tenant. Think twice before dealing with this office.
