Fantastic experience: Seriousness
Negative experience: We went to see an apartment for rent and the service couldn't have been worse. The agent had zero interest in her job; when comments like 'the apartment is dirty, someone will come to clean it' were made, she responded that she had seen much worse apartments. That's not how things should be, just because something is wrong doesn't mean it should be the norm. Criticism should be accepted with humility, not with arrogance and haughtiness. Being the first visit, without having any other scheduled yet, she said that the apartment is already promised to another couple who will take it without having seen it, and they as an agency, without knowing the tenants. That already says a lot about them.

Negative experience: Inappropriate use of my personal data and phone threats. A pretty dreadful experience with that real estate agency. I have rented several apartments always directly with the owner, I have never had a problem. First experience with a real estate agency and they want to take my deposit. If you are tenants and cannot do without that agency, protect yourselves. At the moment of entering the apartment, do a walkthrough with them and take photos, the same when leaving. They will do everything possible to take your deposit, if you complain they will make you an offer returning part of it and saying they are doing you a favor. They wanted to charge us cleaning fees, luckily we had photos as evidence of how dirty and unacceptable the apartment was when we entered. (Photos signed by the owner and us that they had because they were part of the contract). We left the apartment in better condition than it was before (thank goodness for the photos that could prove it). We received the apartment with mold in the bathroom, food remnants in the kitchen, black sockets... We accepted the apartment in that condition because during the visit we were informed that the owner had no intention of fixing it and we needed accommodation. So we decided to clean the apartment and make minor repairs ourselves (because more than once, a kitchen door came off in my hand, of course now they will have that new). We left the apartment in much better condition but we were not going to leave it in new condition by spending thousands of euros on renovations. Important, take photos before and after or they will charge you for everything they want. Besides that, they hid from us that the same day we signed the contract, facade renovation work was going to start that would last a year. We had to endure the workers at home, the dust, the noise, the covered windows... Those works generated an impressive amount of dust and left the windows dirty. Windows that are on the eighth floor and the only way to have them cleaned is to hire professionals because they have all the tools and safety systems. They wanted to charge us for those cleaning costs knowing that the dirt was generated by the works, which we were never notified about. There are laws and tenants have duties, but also the right that no real estate agency can take from us. Unfortunately, having to threaten to report. They tried to shift all responsibility onto the owner saying they had nothing to do with it. On the contrary, they have everything to do with it because they are the ones who know rental and urban laws and must advise property owners in accordance with what can or can't be done. If not, what is the purpose of a real estate agency? Just to make money? From what I can deduce, the advice to owners is not good. So whether you are tenants or owners, that real estate agency can be dreadful for you. Update on that comment: After reading the comment, Francisco called me furious saying: 'I'm going to respond to you as you deserve' calling me scum. He improperly uses my personal phone number to tell me that. There is a huge lack of professionalism and illegal use of my personal data. I believe we all have the right to express our opinions without fear or feeling threatened. PLEASE do not call me anymore about that comment!!! I urge you to delete my personal data according to data protection law.

Your words are full of lies. For example, that I was angry when we spoke on the phone. I was absolutely polite. 'Riffraff' is a word I don’t use in my vocabulary, an invention on your part, and you know it. That you feel threatened, again, a lie and an invention on your part. I never threatened you, and you know it. And I wasn't angry; I just didn't understand your comment. And you know it. I will try to summarize the facts briefly. But before I start, I hope no colleague or owner has the misfortune of crossing your path. And no, I will not use your personal data. And you know it. In my over 30 years of experience in the rental sector, I have rarely encountered someone like you, fortunately. What were we going to do, take the deposit from you? Let me explain. Always with the property’s agreement, it was proposed to give you a refund of 550 € instead of the total amount, which was 650 €. You accepted it, and it was transferred immediately. The next day, it didn’t seem enough to you, and you threatened the property via email, demanding that the full amount be refunded. And that was done. I remind you of the deplorable state of dirt in which you left the apartment. Invoices that support this, of which you are aware. And you know it. I also remind you that when you entered the apartment, you examined it and found everything satisfactory regarding cleanliness. Please check your files. And you know it. Likewise, as I told you, the new mattress that was put in the apartment when you entered was unusable in just over a year. It went to the trash. And you know it. Oh, I almost forgot. The windows were also left in a deplorable state of dirt. Your only justification was to tell me that you weren’t good at cleaning them or don’t like cleaning them. Negative experience: My first contact with this real estate agency: they left me and my family standing at the entrance of the apartment we were interested in buying. We agreed to meet at 11 a.m. at Manuel de Falla (Tarragona). We were there at 10:45 a.m. We waited 10 minutes courteously, and no one from the agency showed up. At 11:15 a.m., I made my first call from my phone (which I used to contact the real estate agent): the phone was busy, no signal (have they restricted my calls?). I made a second call with the same result. Then I tried to call from my wife's phone; it got through and then they hung up on me. This happened for two calls. I tried to leave them a WhatsApp message to see if they would respond: I am still waiting for an answer. Finally, I called from my father-in-law's phone: one tone of signal and they hung up. At 11:45 a.m. (45 minutes after the agreed time), I decided to leave because I had to go to work. We all can have unforeseen events, but since 1876 the telephone has existed, from where one can notify and reschedule the visit if necessary. This says a lot about this real estate agency, where I highlight the lack of professionalism and shamelessness, mobilizing an excited family to the doors of an apartment they could never visit.
