Fantastic experience: Nadine Engels advised us on the real estate market in the area, always in a correct and professional manner, also with good attention and treatment, always providing just the right amount to each party. A stroke of luck.

Negative experience: We sold a house with this real estate agency, but the experience was not good. Nadine, who is the owner, took her commission directly from the buyers' deposit (when normally only part of it is taken until the sale is finalized), and since she took her commission, she lost interest in completing the next steps, often not answering us and even at the last moment at the notary, documents were missing. I found her actions very irresponsible and in poor taste. If I had to recommend a real estate agency, I’m sure this wouldn't be it.

Negative experience: We first bought an apartment through this agency 20 years ago. The owner was professional, efficient and helpful… in fact we became very close friends with her and always defended her against her critics. We purchased a villa through her 10 years ago which we sold with her last year. This last experience couldn’t have been more different from the first. We trusted her to act in our best interest, but she only acted in her own. We cannot believe how she has behaved and how she has refused to engage with us ever since. She has ignored our messages, our letters and even a burofax from our lawyer. We feel incredibly let down. Please be very careful and triple check every detail if you use this agency, try and speak independently with the buyers or sellers and use a solicitor. We have been in Miami Platja a long time and know there are many other real estates you could choose. We never imagined we’d be in this situation and are still very surprised at how different this last experience was compared to the first time.

Fantastic experience: From the first moment that we were in contact with Nadine in the process of purchasing a house, we were pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and dedication with which we were accompanied. Clear explanations, many viewings (also in her spare time), no trouble was her too much. Much help in arranging the additional things like a bankaccount, NIE- number, taxes etc. With great pleasure we look back on the past period and we want firmly recommend Casa Esmeralda!

Fantastic experience: Thinking about buying again in Spain, so checking reviews. I normally only read, not write. However, after reading such a short, negative review without explanation of that client's experience, I feel that I have no choice other than, in this instance, to write about mine when buying and selling through this company! In the early 2000's, I visited the area and decided to try to buy.....having no experience of buying in Spain before and having little or no Spanish language. From the beginning, Nadine and her staff were able to extensively show us the area and availability in our price range. Financial expenses, commitments and liabilities of buying in Spain were clearly explained and calculated - in very clear English! Nadine guided us (often tirelessly!) through the whole process (which is very different than buying in England), ensuring our understanding and satisfaction at each stage. There wasn't a legal or relevant question that she couldn't answer for us. When the time came to sell, I had no hesitation in returning to use her services. Our property was sold surprisingly quickly and as we had returned to England, she carried the whole process of interacting with the buyer, their agents, local government, Notary etc. keeping in frequent contact with us by telephone and email. all necessary papers were drawn up and in order - all we had to do was turn up, sign and receive the proceeds of sale.
