Negative experience: DO NOT STAY WITH HIGUESTS. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We rented an apartment in Gothic Quarter on Carrer de Ferran and it was an absolute nightmare. Here is a list of complaints that we sent to HiGuests that were never addressed or took weeks to address: 1. Constant smell of sewerage coming from the airconditioning. At night, it would smell like sewage in our apartment and we would have to sleep in the heat or the smell of sewage. 2. Constant smell of cigarettes coming from the airconditioning. People in other apartments in the building (all managed by HiGuets) were smoking in the center corridor where the air conditioning vents were. We complained and nothing was done. 3. Other apartments managed by HiGuests had loud obnoxious Scottish girls in them that constantly held parties and caused extreme amounts of noise at all hours. Once at 2am, I went upstairs and they were blasting music with THEIR DOOR OPEN. I'm all for having friends over and even having a party, but close your fn door and have a reasonable level of volume. I could hear the music 2 levels down. 4. Other apartments managed by HiGuests were dropping cigarettes and ash onto our balcony. We asked them to stop, they didn't. We told HiGuests, they did nothing. 5. The apartments don't have a dryer, so we hung our clothes out to dry on the balcony. Of course, people in other HiGuests apartments dropped cigarettes onto our clothes and burnt holes in them. We mentioned this to HiGuests, they did nothing. 6. Someone in the apartment above vomited onto our balcony. It went all over our clothes. We had to clean it up ourselves because when we knocked on their door, they didn't open it. We told HiGuests and they did nothing. 7. HiGuests staff CONSTANTLY entered our apartment with their keys without our permission. Why? Unclear. Once, we opened the door and the guy ran away and down the stairs. He came at a time that we were usually out of the apartment. So draw your own conclusions about what he was trying to do. This is just a short summary. There were more issues and complaints that were never addressed by HiGuests. Now, they are constantly delaying the release of our deposit. Contractually they are required to give us our deposit back within 31 to 45 days after leaving. It's been 50 days and they're saying we have to wait longer. Photos attached: 1 - Vomit on balcony 2 - Hole burn in shirt 3 - Ash on balcony I also have videos of the roof leaking that took months to fix, but it won't let me upload it.

Negative experience: This is a normal apartment building with no office, there is just an overflowing letter box. I spoke to tenants in my quest to find somebody but there is nobody there. I booked with them through a platform and they cancelled a few days before my trip. I tried to talk to them but they didn't respond to a single email and when I told them my name over the phone they hung up without a word. I would not recommend booking with them. They are based in Dubai and can do what they want, you have no rights. You should look for other experience reports online, there are pretty bad ones. I think I actually got lucky because I never sent them a deposit.

Negative experience: Many things were not right but the most important is that 1800 euros deposit hasn't been refund 45 days after I checked out...and still waiting reply and refund from them.

Negative experience: FATAL!!!!!! LOS PEORES COMO EMPRESA!!, POCO SERIOS! NO ENTREGAN FACTURAS DE NADA, TE HACEN PAGAR ADELANTADO Y LO QUE ESTAN ES EVADIENDO IMPUESTOS PORQUE NO TE EMITEN FACTURAS, LOS LLAMAS Y NO ATIENDEN MAS, SON UNA EMPRESA FANTASMA

Positive experience: Ultimately, I did not stay with HiGuests as they do not accept card payment which provides consumer protection throughout Europe. I find this to be very surprising and unique in my recent experience. They requested full payment of €3,000+ in advance via a bank transfer. This was not acceptable to me as with this method of payment there is no consumer protection should things go wrong.

Fantastic experience: I booked an apartment at HiGuests when traveling to Dubai. It was my first time going there, and HiGuests made my stay perfect. The view from the apartment we were staying in was unbelievable. They, also, have great discounts for the safari tours for their guests. I will book with them again.
